Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out: (1) understanding of the concept of calculus 1 for students of the mathematics study program, (2) what are the things that cause students difficulties in understanding the concept of calculus. In this research, the method used is qualitative with descriptive methods. Where the technique used to determine the source of data is the purposive sampling technique. The data taken in this study consisted of two, namely the results of the conceptual understanding test and the interview results. Triangulation methods will then validate the test results. The conclusions of this study's results are: first, the understanding of the concept of calculus 1 in mathematics study program students consists of 13.64% in the high category, 40.91% in the medium category, and 45.45% in the low category. Second, three things cause students difficulties in understanding the concept of calculus 1; they are the methods or learning models used by lecturers, student's lack of questions' exercise by the students, student's lack of repeating the materials given by the lecturer. Besides all of that, basic mathematical concepts during high school are also insufficient to go through the next level of calculus learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to apply the CPM (Critical Path Method) method to predict and optimize the project's total duration on the scheduling of house construction projects by PT Ghani Sejahtera Abadi. In this research, the method used is quantitative with a descriptive approach. The subjects of this research are project owners and workers who build houses in Kedungrandu Regency Housing. Sources of data needed to meet the criteria for data that CPM can analyze include: (a) data on the name of the activities in the project, (b) the sequence of activities on the project, and (c) data at the time used in the house construction project. For data collection in this study using several techniques, namely interviews and literature study. Based on the results and discussion of this research, the following conclusions are obtained: (1) Critical Path Method (CPM) can be used to schedule optimal, fast, and efficient house construction projects. (2) The CPM application causes the completion time of the type 33 house construction project in the Kedungrandu Regency Housing, which was initially scheduled for 64 days to be faster, namely 42 days.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to raise student achievement and learning motivation by implementing problem-based learning based on the Kahoot game. This research was carried out from February to April 2023. This type of research is classroom action research, which consists of 2 cycles, each with four stages: planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. This research was conducted on 12 students of the mathematics study program, even in the semester 2022/2023, who took the Calculus 2 course. Data collection techniques were tests and observations. The results of this research are as follows: 1) There was an increase in learning achievement after implementing the Kahoot game-based problem-based learning model seen from the class average before learning. 57.87 and after cycles I and II, with a class average of 71.5 and 80.25. 2) increase student learning motivation. This is indicated by the results of the learning motivation data before the research, which met the good enough criteria; as many as seven students (58.33%) and five students (41.67%) met the good criteria. After taking action, eight students (66.67%) fell into the good criteria, and four (33.33%) fell into the very good criteria.

Abstract

Kejadian kekerasan seksual dimasyarakat masih saja tinggi, walaupun Undang-Undang tentang Upaya Pencegahan Kekerasan Seksual telah diterbitkan kejahatan tersebut masih banyak terjadi. Upaya pencegahan yang massif ditingkat masyarakat membutuhkan peranan masyarakat salah satunya melalui organisasi kewanitaan yang notabene lebih banyak menjadi korban. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang upaya pencegahan kekerasan seksual. Pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan metode ceramah dan diskusi, kegiatan diikuti oleh 37 anggota Fatayat NU Teluk, Purwokerto. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan pada kelompok anggota Fatayat NU Teluk, Purwokerto dengan nilai dengan nilai rata-rata 6.8 dimana sebelumnya rata-rata nilai 4.4. Manfaat yang telah diperoleh mitra memiliki persepsi positif setelah mendapatkan penyuluhan. Kesimpulannya kegiatan pengabdian ini berdampak positif yang ditunjukkan dengan penambahan pengetahuan dan peningkatan pemahaman mitra terkait kekerasan seksual dan perlindungan hukum atas kejadian kekerasan seksual dan cara pencegahan.

Abstract

The number of new students registering at SMK Ma'arif NU 1 Purwokerto from 2010 to 2023 has increased and decreased. This fluctuating pattern is a problem faced in determining strategies to attract new students to register. Large fluctuations in student numbers can cause instability in school revenues, which affects all operational aspects and will impact the school's reputation in the eyes of the community and prospective students. In this regard, it is necessary to take action, namely forecasting the number of new students registering for the 2024/2025 academic year. The aim of this research is to determine the prediction of the number of prospective new students at SMK Ma'arif NU 1 Purwokerto using theDouble Exponential Smoothing Brown in the 2024/2025 academic year. From the research results, it was obtained that the number of new students in the 2024/2025 academic year was based on overall data on students who registered with the best α parameter α = 0.2 with a value ofMAD = 6,02, MSE = 68,37, andMAP= 20.23%, namely 42 students. The forecast for the number of new students registering at SMK Ma'arif NU 1 Purwokerto based on overall data from the school has increased from the previous year. Value resultsMAPshows that the forecasting that has been carried out falls into the category of adequate forecasting method capabilities so that it can be used to predict the number of new students enrolling at SMK Ma'arif NU 1 Purwoketo and the predicted value for the following year can be known.Keywords: predictions, forecasting, new students, Double Exponential Smoothing Brown

Abstract

Pelatihan penyusunan modul Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) dilaksanakan dalam rangka meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan guru terkait pengembangan modul P5 berbasis projek. Kegiatan inti dari kegiatan pengabdian Masyarakat dilaksanakan pada hari Jum’at, 1 November 2024 di SD Negeri 1 Dagan. Peserta yang terlibat dalam kegiatan ini adalah bapak/ibu guru kelas VI pada korwilcam dindikbud kecamatan Bobotsari yang berjumlah 21 guru di lingkungan dindikbud kecamatan Bobotsari. Kegiatan pengabdian ini diselenggarakan dalam beberapa tahap yaitu tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan, dan tahap evaluasi. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan berjalan dengan lancar dan dapat dikatakan berhasil dan berdampak positif dengan nilai rata-rata 3,65 atau 91,25% masuk pada kriteria sangat baik. Peserta juga merasa sangat puas dengan pelatihan yang diberikan karena meningkatkan pemahaman terkait pengembangan modul P5 dan merasa lebih percaya diri dalam menyusun modul pembelajaran setelah mengikuti pelatihan ini. Untuk itu diharapkan kedepannya dapat dilakukan kegiatan serupa di masa mendatang untuk mendalami lebih jauh tentang P5, dengan harapan kualitas pendidikan dan penguatan karakter siswa melalui nilai-nilai Pancasila dapat terus ditingkatkan secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Metacognition is one of the factors that influences students' success in solving mathematical problems. On the other hand, the reality in the field is that students experience difficulties in solving mathematical problems related to Elementary Linear Algebra because they contain a lot of repetitive calculations, so they require high levels of perseverance and accuracy. This research aims to describe students' metacognitive profiles in solving Elementary Linear Algebra problems in terms of cognitive style. The cognitive style chosen is the conceptual cognitive style of pacing through Matching Familiar Figures Tests with research subjects being mathematics students at Nahdlatul Ulama University, Purwokerto. The resulting metacognition profile was obtained from Elementary Linear Algebra problem-solving test data and interviews, which were analyzed and concluded through a series of method triangulation processes. The research results show that students are reflective and impulsive in carrying out all activities that are indicators of metacognitive awareness and regulation, as well as several indicators from metacognitive evaluation. Fast, accurate students carry out all activities that become indicators of metacognitive awareness, regulation, and evaluation. Meanwhile, slowly, inaccurate students carry out all activities that are indicators of metacognitive awareness and several indicators of metacognitive regulation but still need to be able to carry out activities of metacognitive evaluation.
