Abstract

Non-bank financial institutions that can be used as a solution in dealing with the problem of limitedcapital owned by business actors in the agricultural sector and which are quite familiar in the life offarmers are cooperatives. One of the efforts to increase the development of cooperatives in a positivedirection is to improve the performance of cooperatives in the aspects of capital, productive assetquality, management, efficiency, liquidity, independence and growth, cooperative identity and shariaprinciples. The performance assessment of sharia cooperatives can be carried out through theapplication of the Regulation of the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises of theRepublic of Indonesia Number: 07/Per/Dep/2016 concerning the Implementation of Sharia Savingsand Loans and Financing Business Activities by Cooperatives. Each aspect is given a weight andthen a score is obtained to determine the predicate of cooperatives ranging from very unhealthy tohealthy. This research was conducted at the Trans Mekar Sari Mandiri BMT Cooperative in theagricultural area of the Tanjung Lago sub-district which was also affected by the COVID-19pandemic, namely a decrease in remaining operating results and an increase in member non- performing loans. The research was conducted using survey methods and direct field interviews withrespondents. Sampling was carried out using a gradual sampling method (Multiple Sampling) with asample of 33 respondents. The data collected is in the form of RAT data for the 2021 financial year. The results of the study state that the performance assessment of the Trans Mekar Sari Mandiri BMTCooperative during the COVID-19 pandemic showed a fairly healthy predicate but there were stillmany shortcomings in aspects of the quality of productive assets and aspects of liquidity.

Abstract

Rice productivity can be increased by expanding the number of inputs or through the application of new technologies. Demonstration Farm (Demfarm) is one of the methods used for the adoption of agricultural technology according to the developed potential commodities. This study intended to determine the financing model for lowland rice located in Sungai Dua Village, Rambutan District, Banyuasin Regency based on the variety used in relation to rice field construction. The method used was a trial or experiment. This research was conducted on an outdoor laboratory area of the University of South Sumatra in collaboration with partners (IPB University, PT ATS Inti Sampoerna, PT PUSRI, BPTP). There are 3 superior varieties used consisting of IPB3S, Inpari 32 and Ciherang covering an area of 6 hectares in 2021. The population of this study are all farmers who participate in the new rice field printing program that will be formed into the Rice Estate Community (KEP), as many as 15 people who own land and farm laborers by using the census method considered that the entire population as the sample. The analysis used is qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results showed that the income earned by the University of South Sumatera in the first period was Rp.(7,3977,235)/0.5 Ha/MT for the IPB3S variety, Rp.(6,638,485)/0.5 Ha/MT for the IPB3S variety. Inpari 32 and p(5,949,235) /0,5 Ha/MT for Ciherang variety. Constraints faced were soil pH <4, pH of water between 2-3 and still contains pyrite, shallow swamp land type endanger to flooding, inappropriate irrigation and land conditions that still had a lot of tree trunks left. The feasibility analyses used were the B/C ratio and R/C ratio, the results of which showed that based on superior varieties the B/C ratio for the IPB3S variety was (0.80), the Inpari 32 variety was (0.79 ) and Ciherang variety was (0.74). While the R/C ratio in the IPB3S variety was 0.20, the Inpari 32 variety was 0.21 and the Ciherang variety was 0.24. The B/C ratio and the R/C ratio value < 1 indicated that the activities of this model of financing of new rice farming for the first planting period were not feasible due to natural hazard, technical and inappropriate  facilities. This research showed that the better resistance and adaptation were shown by the Ciherang variety.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kerjasama antara Perguruan Tinggi dan Dunia Industri yang dipilih menjadi mitra Koperasi BMT Trans Mekar Sari. Sistem pertanian yang diterapkan dengan sistem tumpang gilir. Anggota koperasi tersebut dibentuk wirausaha koperasi yang dicetak sebagai inisiasi dari petani anggota sebanyak 50 orang. Produk yang dikembangkan oleh wirausaha koperasi yaitu sirup herbal rambut jagung yang menjadi usaha ekonomi kreatif dengan mengutamakan ide dan pengetahuan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk membantu anggota koperasi yang dibentuk dalam wirausaha koperasi dalam mengatasi permasalahan limbah pertanian yaitu limbah tanaman jagung berupa rambut jagung menjadi minuman fungsional sirup herbal rambut jagung antioksidan. Tahapan kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan melalui dua kegiatan. Tahap pertama pelatihan dan demo produksi yaitu pengolahan rambut jagung menjadi sirup dan pelatihan syarat dalam pembuatan PIRT sedangkan yang kedua strategi perizinan produk sirup herbal rambut jagung untuk PIRT. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa adanya kegiatan tersebut memberikan keterampilan baru bagi UMKM Pempek Eka. Hal ini terlihat pada evaluasi pengetahuan sebelum dilakukan pelatihan yakni sebesar 25%, dan 85% setelah dilakukan pelatihan dan pendampingan. Selain itu, hasil kegiatan juga terlihat dari meningkatnya produksi sirup herbal rambut jagung sebesar 110% dari sebelum dilakukan pelatihan mengenai pelatihan dan demo produk serta perizinan produk. Keberlangsungan wirausaha koperasi diharapkan dapat menjadi salah satu nilai tambah dan pandapatan bagi koperasi. Abstract: Collaboration between Universities and the Industrial World which was chosen to be a partner of the BMT Trans Mekar Sari Cooperative. The farming system is implemented with a rotational overlapping system. Members of the cooperative formed cooperative entrepreneurs who were printed as an initiation from 50 member farmers. The product developed by the cooperative entrepreneur is corn silk herbal syrup which is a creative economic venture by prioritizing ideas and knowledge. This activity aims to help cooperative members formed in cooperative entrepreneurship in overcoming the problem of agricultural waste, namely corn crop waste in the form of corn hair into a functional drink of antioxidant corn hair herbal syrup. The stages of community service activities are carried out through two activities. The first stage was training and production demonstrations, namely processing corn silk into syrup and training on the requirements for making PIRT, while the second was the strategy for licensing corn silk herbal syrup products for PIRT. The results of the activity show that this activity provides new skills for UMKM Pempek Eka. This can be seen in the evaluation of knowledge before training, which is 25%, and 85% after training and mentoring. Apart from that, the results of the activities were also seen from the increase in production of corn silk herbal syrup by 110% from before the training on training and product demonstrations as well as product licensing. The sustainability of cooperative entrepreneurship is expected to become one of the added values and income for cooperatives.

Abstract

Abstrak: Perguruan Tinggi Universitas Sumatera Selatan dengan Dunia Usaha dan Industri (DUDI) yaitu Koperasi BMT Trans Mekar Sari Mandiri melalui kegiatan transfer teknologi tentang pembuatan baglog sekam padi sebagai media tanam jamur dalam kegiatan pengabdian. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini yaitu untuk memberdayakan masyarakat dengan pembuatan baglog sekam padi sehingga dapat meningkatkan pendapatan serta kesejahteraan masyarakat bagi wira usaha koperasi di Desa Mulia Sari Kecamatan Tanjung Lago Kabupaten Banyuasin Provinsi Sumatera Selatan. Metodenya meliputi Pemberian Materi tentang pembuatan baglog sekam padi; Diskusi tentang berbagai masalah dan solusinya; Simulasi dan evaluasi. Kegiatan Pengabdian ini dilakukan pada bulan Oktober 2022. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dengan melibatkan mahasiswa Universitas Sumatera Selatan sebagai fasilitator. Hasil evaluasi dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa pembuatan baglog sekam padi memberikan dampak positif bagi wira usaha koperasi. Wira Usaha Koperasi sangat respon terhadap kegiatan ini. Prospek pasar baglog jamur tiram masih mempunyai peluang yang cukup besar. Luaran dari kegiatan ini yaitu wira usaha koperasi telah mampu melakukan pembuatan baglog sekam padi. Selain itu juga dihasilkan buku referensi tentang pembuatan baglog sekam padi. Abstract: The University of South Sumatra University with the Business and Industry World (DUDI), namely the Trans Mekar Sari Mandiri BMT Cooperative through technology transfer activities regarding the manufacture of rice husk baglog as a mushroom growing medium in service activities. The purpose of this service is to empower the community by making rice husk baglogs so that they can increase income and community welfare for cooperative entrepreneurs in Mulia Sari Village, Tanjung Lago District, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra Province. The methods include providing material on the manufacture of baglog of rice husks; Discussion of various problems and their solutions; Simulation and evaluation. This service activity was carried out in October 2022. The activity was carried out by involving students from the University of South Sumatra as facilitators. The results of the evaluation of this activity indicate that the manufacture of baglog of rice husks has a positive impact on cooperative entrepreneurs. Wira Usaha Koperasi is very responsive to this activity. The prospect of the oyster mushroom baglog market still has considerable opportunities. The output of this activity is that cooperative entrepreneurs have been able to make baglog of rice husks. In addition, a reference book on making baglog of rice husks was also produced.

Abstract

The people of Palembang city during the covid-19 pandemic which lasted for approximately 3 years tended to be more selective in buying products, one of which was the most popular Palembang food, namely pempek. The Covid-19 pandemic has also brought significant changes for Small and Medium Enterprises or SMEs in Palembang City. Many SME players have experienced a decline in sales since this pandemic, one of which is the SME Pempek of snakehead fish. Seeing this condition, there is a need for a strategy to strengthen Pempek Gabus Palembang Small and Medium Enterprises during the COVID-19 pandemic using a SWOT analysis. This research was carried out in the city of Palembang by taking samples of the UKM Pempek Ikan Gabus. Research SMEs are Small and Medium Enterprises with 12 respondents whose central location is on Jl. Pakjo Palembang with the consideration that this UKM is one of the producers of cork fish pempek which is still active during the COVID-19 pandemic. Pempek Palembang UKM in order to survive during the COVID-19 pandemic must implement several targeted strategies, including: improving services with 24-hour admin services via wa (chat/phone) so that they can be ordered anytime, the order method made by order, Creating new innovations by using shuji/pandan leaves as a natural dye for pempek and minimizing the fishy smell of fish, making an MoU to snakehead fish farmers so that the availability of raw materials is guaranteed and the price of clothing materials is relatively more stable. In addition, the government, especially the fisheries service, can encourage the community to be more active in cultivating snakehead fish.

Abstract

Abstrak: Jamur tiram yang produksi semakin meningkat dan umur simpannya rendah maka perlu adanya pengolahan berupa abon. Abon jamur merupakan lauk siap saji atau makanan ringan serta sehat dengan karakteristik kering, renyah dan gurih. Tujuan kegiatan PkM ini untuk meningkatkan jumlah produk dari pengolahan jamur tiram menjadi abon dengan implementasi inovasi pada proses pengeringan, memperbaiki strategi pemasaran produk abon dengan packaging dan perizinan produk mengadopsi pemasaran serta pembukuan secara digital. Wirausaha perempuan transmigrasi terdiri dari 25 orang wirausaha yang tergabung dalam Koperasi BMT Trans Mekar Sari Mandiri terletak di Desa Muliasari Kecamatan Tanjung Lago. Metode pengabdian menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif aktif, diawali dengan kegiatan persiapan, dan sosialisasi, pelatihan, pendampingan jamur tiram jadi abon, pemasaran serta pembukuan digital. Hasil peningkatan mitra menunjukkan bahwa wirausaha perempuan transmigrasi bahwa 55,56% (SS) mendukung semua kegiatan dalam program pendampingan sedangkan 28% (KS) dikarenakan mitra belum memahami pembukuan secara online dan media sosial secara luas baik dalam bentuk konten maupun label abon yang menarik. Kegiatan pemberdayaan menunjukkan bahwa wirausaha perempuan transmigrasi telah berdaya dalam menerapkan mesin spinner, packaging, hand sealer dan timbangan digital dalam mengolah jamur tiram menjadi abon sudah dilatih dan dibimbing untuk memanfaatkan pemasaran dan pembukuan secara digital dengan membuat website, instagram, facebook, tiktok dan buku warung.Abstract: Oyster mushroom production is increasing and the shelf life is low, so it is necessary to process it in the form of shredded meat. Shredded mushrooms are a ready-to-eat side dish or light and healthy food with dry, crunchy and tasty characteristics. The aim of this PkM activity is to increase the number of products from processing oyster mushrooms into shredded meat by implementing innovations in the drying process, improving marketing strategies for shredded products by packaging and product licensing adopting digital marketing and bookkeeping. Transmigration women entrepreneurs consist of 25 entrepreneurs who are members of the BMT Trans Mekar Sari Mandiri Cooperative located in Muliasari Village, Tanjung Lago District. The service method uses an active participatory approach, starting with preparation activities and outreach, training, assistance with shredded oyster mushrooms, marketing and digital bookkeeping. The results of increasing partners show that women entrepreneurs transmigration that 55.56% (SS) supports all activities in the mentoring program while 28% (KS) is because partners do not understand online bookkeeping and social media widely, both in the form of content and attractive shredded labels. Empowerment activities show that transmigration women entrepreneurs are empowered in using machines spinner, packaging, hand sealer and digital scales in processing oyster mushrooms into shredded meat have been trained and guided to utilize digital marketing and bookkeeping by creating websites, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and stall books.
