Abstract

Pembelajaran fisika yang cenderung dilakukan dengan cara guru memberikan berbagai informasi berupa fakta dan persamaan-persamaan matematis kepada siswa tidak memfasilitasi siswa untuk menemukan sendiri bagaimana hubungan-hubungan antara fakta-fakta yang ia peroleh. Hal ini tentu saja dapat mengakibatkan pembelajaran menjadi kurang menarik bagi siswa, pemahaman konsep yang kurang dan tingkat retensi siswa yang rendah. Dalam pembelajaran fisika, guru haruslah menghadirkan pembelajaran aktif. Salah satu pembelajaran aktif yang dapat digunakan dalam rangka meningkatkan pemahaman saintifik adalah siklus belajar PODS (Predict-Observe-Discuss-Synthesize) yang merupakan siklus pembelajaran sains yang menuntut siswa untuk terlibat aktif dalam pembelajaran Pembelajaran dengan siklus belajar PODS (Predict-Observe-Discuss-Synthesize) dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa, dimana siswa dapat lebih aktif dalam mengkonstruk sendiri pemahamanya, guru tidak lagi menjadi sumber pengetahuan melatihkan siswa untuk dapat membangun pemahaman tersebut.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop a learning media for fundamentals physics course based on scientific literacy using the Google Sites platform. This study was carried out using the Research and Development method with Borg and Gall's (1989) development design. The developed media was validated by nine science learning media experts and tested on 31 students of fundamentals physics course on temperature and heat topic to determine the user's response. The results shows that the developed media is valid and suitable for use with very good classification, which includes: content quality, learning objectives suitability, feedback and adaptation, motivation, presentation design, interaction usefulness, and accessibility. User response to the developed media is positive in aspects which include; Attractiveness, clarity, efficiency, reliability, stimulation and novelty. It can be concluded that the developed learning media is feasible to use in fundamentals physics course

Abstract

Guru yang adaptif dengan perkembangan teknologi merupakan tuntutan kompetensi di abad 21 ini. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini diselenggarakan oleh Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika Universitas Garut. Tujuan dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pelatihan bagi Guru Fisika dan IPA di Kabupaten Garut dalam membuat perencanaan eksperimen fisika berbasis sensor smartphone. Pelatihan ini dilakukan selama 32 jam pelajaran meliputi pemaparan materi, praktik penggunaan sensor smartphone, dan workshop perancangan eksperimen. Peserta pelatihan sebanyak 24 guru yang berasal dari berbagai sekolah di Kabupaten Garut. Sensor smartphone yang diterapkan dalam pelatihan ini menggunakan aplikasi Phyphox. Sebagai penunjang rancangan eksperimen, dibuat lembar kerja peserta didik dengan liveworksheet.  Tahapan pelatihan meliputi: (1) pemaparan materi, (2) demonstrasi penggunaan sensor smartphone dan liveworksheet, (3) eksplorasi alat oleh peserta, dan (4) perancangan eksperimen. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan sensor smartphone sebagai alat eksperimen diterima dengan baik oleh peserta. Materi yang diberikan sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan relevansi profesi peserta pelatihan. Interaksi dengan instruktur dinilai positif, dengan instruktur yang membantu dan memotivasi peserta.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk melatihkan kemampuan bagi guru fisika dan mahasiswa calon pendidik pelajaran IPA/fisika untuk dapat menjadi pelatih di bidang kompetisi sains nasional bidang IPA-fisika. Metode pelaksanaan Training on Trainer ini dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahapan, yaitu (1) Pre-test untuk mengetahui kemampuan awal dari peserta, (2) Mentoring terkait dengan pelatihan dan penguatan pemahaman materi fisika Kompetisi Sains Nasional, dan (3) Post-test untuk mengetahui kemampuan peserta setelah diberikan pelatihan . Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan selama dua hari di SMPN 1 Cisurupan Kabupaten Garut. Berdasarkan hasil pre-test dan post-test terdapat peningkatan pada kemampuan guru fisika dan mahasiswa calon pendidik pelajaran IPA/fisika dalam mengerjakan soal KSN setelah mengikuti training on trainer yang dilaksanakan.Abstract: The objective of this program is to train physics teachers and pre-services physics teacher to be trainers in national science competitions (KSN) in the field of science-physics (IPA-Fisika). This program's method is carried out in three stages: (1) pre-test to determine participants' initial abilities, (2) mentoring related to training and strengthening understanding of the physics material for the National Science Competition, and (3) post-test to determine participants' abilities after training. This training was held for two days at SMPN 1 Cisurupan, Garut Regency. Based on the results of the test, there was an increase in the ability of physics teachers and and pre-services physics teacher in working on KSN Problems after participating in the training on trainer.

Abstract

Traditional assessment in education primarily measures the academic performance of learners without reflecting the learning process. Many educators neglect to reflect on their teaching practices for continuous quality improvement. The authentic assessment instrument, Teaching and Learning Trajectory with E-Student Activity Sheet (E-SAS), can identify the profile of teaching and learning trajectories within the syntax of instructional models, enabling educators to determine appropriate corrective measures for each session. The development of this assessment instrument utilized the Research and Development (R&D) method, following the ADDIE model. The study involved 34 students enrolled in a Basic Science Concepts course. Fifteen authentic teaching and learning trajectory test items were developed for three sessions and were validated as "Valid" and achieved a "High" reliability category, with a Cronbach's Alpha reliability coefficient value of 0.68. The overall average student scores showed a significant improvement to 83.33 after the implementation of corrective actions. The quality of the learning process, employing Problem-Based Learning syntax, improved in each session following the educators' reflections based on the teaching and learning trajectory profiles.

Abstract

This study aims to find out and describe the values ​​of Sundanese local wisdom that can be implemented in literacy-based learning in madrasas in the process of strengthening the Pancasila student profile. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method by analyzing the problem and then breaking it down into ideas. the preparation of this paper uses secondary data by reviewing relevant literature from scientific articles. After the data is collected, the analysis is carried out using descriptive and comparative analysis. The profile of Pancasila students is interpreted as a profile of lifelong students with the character of faith and piety to God Almighty, noble character, global diversity, cooperation, independence, critical thinking, and creative reasoning. In this regard, Sundanese local wisdom can be internalized as silih asih, silih asah, silih asuh, silih wawangi, cageur, bageur, bener, pinter and singer. These values ​​are moral values ​​that are firmly held by the Sundanese people and are relevant to strengthening the profile of Pancasila students. In its implementation, these values ​​are designed through the literacy movement by dividing its activities into 3 stages. The first stage is the habituation stage. At this stage, the inculcation of local wisdom values ​​can be divided into each day of the learning process, so in one week of learning, students can form the expected characteristics of the Pancasila student profile. In the second stage, namely the development stage through the literacy corner. The last stage is the learning stage applying learning models that focus on students.

Abstract

Our work describes the differences and similarities in several aspects between two virtual laboratory (lab) media, namely Physics Education Technology (PhET) Colorado and Applets the King’s Centre forVvisualization (KCVS). The aspects compared include website appearance, ease of access and use, strengths and weaknesses of each virtual lab, and support for relevant concepts. Virtual lab such PhET Colorado and Applets provide a viable alternative, offering a safe and immersive environment for students to engage with scientific phenomena. The research used a qualitative descriptive approach with a comparative method. The researcher will compare the two virtual lab based on the aforementioned aspects. We find that the PhET Colorado website excels in visualization and data interpretation, meanwhile the Applet website excels in the availability of literature related to the photoelectric effect material.

Abstract

Technology plays a great role in education, particularly in facilitating creative and innovative approaches to physics learning. This study focuses on developing Android-based learning media using App Inventor for dynamic fluid materials. This Research and Development (R&D) was based on the Jan Van Den Akker model. The development stages covered preliminary research, needs analysis, prototyping, summative evaluation, and reflection and documentation. Data on the effectiveness and practicality of the developed media were obtained from questionnaires distributed to experts, teachers, and students. Data were analyzed using N-Gain tests and obtained a score of 0.63 which is in the moderate category. The developed learning media has a high level of effectiveness in improving students’ understanding of dynamic fluid materials. The results of this study indicate the potential to expand the application of technology in learning to improve quality and sustainable innovation in physics learning.
