Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to test whether the hypothesis of "export led growth" applies to the Indonesian economy. The term "export led growrth" refers to a situation where a country's exports become the motor of economic growth. To achieve these objectives research using data GDP (Y) as a proxy for economic growth and serve as the dependent variable, and manufacturing exports (X), capital goods imports (M), the stock of capital (K) and labor (L) as independent variables. Of all variables used, variable labor value or coefficient greatest. While variable manufacturing exports had the smallest coefficient. Although when compared with other control variabe, the role of manufacturing exports variable in influencing economic growth (GDP) is relatively small, but the statistical significance of the test results may indicate that the alleged hypothesis of "export led growth" applies in Indonesia can be accepted.

Abstract

This community service activity (PkM) is intended to help increase income from organic waste management through maggot cultivation. The activity method used is training, by applying appropriate technology in the form of portable bioponds and drying machines to make dried maggot. The activity implementation period is November 26 to December 23, 2022. The results of the activity show the potential for increased income and environmental independence in managing organic waste through maggot. Before the PkM activity was carried out, the source of income from maggot only came from fresh maggot. After the PkM activity, there is an additional source of income from dried maggot products, with a range between Rp23 thousand - Rp30 thousand for every one kilogram of dried fresh maggot. The application of portable bioponds has increased the amount of fresh maggot production between 60 kilograms - 80 kilograms.  The application of portable bioponds as maggot enlargement media has increased the amount of organic waste that is managed independently. Before the PkM activity, the amount of organic waste managed was 240 kilograms - 320 kilograms. After the PkM activity, the amount of managed waste increased to 360 kg - 480 kg. In general, it can be concluded that PkM activities through the application of technology in maggot cultivation carried out by the Trisakti University PkM Team at the Villa 1 Asri Waste Bank have succeeded in increasing community independence both in terms of economy and environment.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are crucial contributors to Indonesia’s economy but continue to face barriers in adopting digital transformation, particularly in business communication, branding, and customer relationship management. Many MSME owners lack sufficient digital knowledge and confidence to implement effective online strategies, resulting in limited market visibility and customer engagement. To address these challenges, a community empowerment initiative was conducted with the primary goal of enhancing entrepreneurs’ digital competence and strengthening their ability to build brand identity and customer loyalty. The program applied the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, emphasizing collaborative involvement across stages of needs assessment, training, mentoring, and evaluation. Twenty MSME participants from the culinary, fashion, service, and household product sectors actively took part.  The results indicated significant improvements in understanding digital communication, developing creative content, and integrating social media into business strategies. Participants also demonstrated stronger collaboration, initiative, and confidence in digital marketing practices. These outcomes highlight the importance of hands-on, collaborative learning in bridging the digital literacy gap and fostering innovation among MSMEs. By improving their digital capabilities, MSMEs are better positioned to sustain growth, expand market reach, and contribute to a more inclusive digital economy. The initiative supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) through continuous learning and skills development, SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) through entrepreneurship empowerment, and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) by promoting innovation and sustainable digital transformation.

Abstract

Abstract

This study explores the influence of social media and digital influencers on household decision-making in selecting travel destinations, focusing on the mediating role of family perception. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 400 respondents through purposive sampling and analyzed with Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). A structured questionnaire with a 1–5 Likert scale measured the impact of social media, digital influencers, family perception, and household decision-making. The findings reveal that social media does not significantly influence household decision-making, either directly or indirectly through family perception. Conversely, digital influencers have a notable impact, with family perception serving as a strong mediator. At a microeconomic level, credible content from influencers influences internal family discussions, while at a macroeconomic level, influencer collaborations enhance destination promotion, visibility, and local economic growth. This study offers insights into the strategic use of digital influencers for tourism promotion in West Java, providing valuable recommendations for local governments and tourism stakeholders to align marketing efforts with community preferences. The findings contribute to understanding the interplay between digital influencers, family perceptions, and household decisions, with implications for both tourism management and economic development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of household expenditures on health and education, as well as macroeconomic conditions, on cigarette consumption across 34 provinces in Indonesia during the 2021–2023 period. A quantitative approach is employed using a fixed-effects panel data model to systematically estimate the relationships among the variables. The novelty of this study lies in the integration of both micro-level variables (household expenditure on health and education) and macroeconomic indicators (GRDP growth, open unemployment rate, and poverty depth index) into a unified analytical framework using recent provincial panel data. This approach has rarely been adopted in previous studies, which predominantly relied on cross-sectional household-level data and tended to isolate micro or macro factors. The results indicate that household health expenditures, the poverty depth index, and the unemployment rate have a significant negative effect on cigarette consumption. In contrast, household education expenditures and GRDP growth do not exhibit statistically significant impacts. These findings suggest that increased spending on health may reduce cigarette consumption through a budget reallocation mechanism (crowding-out effect), whereas education-related spending shows no practical short-term influence. The study implies that public policy interventions should prioritize enhancing household investments in health while simultaneously addressing macroeconomic pressures that contribute to smoking behavior. It is recommended that future research extends the observation period, incorporates sociocultural variables, and includes behavioral dimensions to obtain a more comprehensive understanding of household cigarette consumption patterns across regions in Indonesia. These insights are expected to support the development of evidence-based public policies aligned with national health and education agendas.
