Abstract

This study aims to analyze political campaign strategies through online newspaper media in shaping the popularity of the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) members from the Gerindra Party in Electoral District 9 of West Java (Bekasi Regency) during the 2024 General Election. The main focus of this research is the use of local online media, particularly Radar Bekasi, in supporting the visibility and electability of legislative candidates. Online media is chosen for its ability to reach the public widely, quickly, and interactively, especially among young voters, the middle class, and urban communities. A qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method was used, involving in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation of elected candidates and campaign content published in the media. The findings show that consistent use of Radar Bekasi (1–2 times per month) significantly increased candidates' popularity through news coverage, advertorials, opinion articles, and reports on socio-political activities. Seven key factors influencing the effectiveness of this strategy include media reach, credibility, limitations of face-to-face campaigns, interactivity, public perception, digital media consumption trends, and editorial professionalism. The study also reveals a mutualistic relationship between candidates and local media in the campaign context. It is concluded that online newspaper media serves not only as an information platform but also as a strategic actor in shaping political image and legitimacy at the local level. These findings highlight the importance of digital media in modern campaign strategies that are adaptive and grounded in the power of political communication.

Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui konstruksi sosial metamorfosis pada migrasi komunikasi analog menjadi sistem digitalisasi komunikasi massa tentang budaya populer dan ekonomi politik Media Massa. Penelitian ini menggunakan Teori budaya dengan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriftif dan analisis naratif berdasarkan sumber data kepustakaan. Hasil Penelitian bahwa metamorfosis media analog menjadi media digitalisasi memberikan nilai-nilai budaya populer menjadi pilihan bagi setiap individu dan organisasi dalam memanfaatkan media komunikasi massa, yang merupakan bentuk konstruksi sosial melalui bentuk interaksi sosial. Produk interaksi soaial memiliki perspektif pada nilai ekonomi politik media. Konstruksi sosial dibentuk menjadi kegiatan Komunikasi yang memiliki makna budaya yang terintegrasi dengan era digital. Rekomendasi penelitian pada Peran Komunikasi pimpinan organisasi dalam mengkoordinasikan sistem digitalisasi dalam manajemen digital yang lebih kreatif terhadap budaya populer Masyarakat dalam menghadapi Era disrupsi komunikasi.

Abstract

The public's perception of development in the era of digitalization and the current global village provides a motivational meaning for the participation of citizens as a whole and government administrators. This study aims to determine the perceptions and motivations of the community in village development meetings. The research approach used is descriptive-qualitative with narrative analysis based on the results of interviews with informants. The results of the study show that participating in development can provide motivation and obtain a common opinion that refers to the information conveyed by the leadership so that they are more enthusiastic about carrying out development. The motivation for community involvement places more emphasis on the decision-making process in community institutions—participation as a form of community emancipation in the process of involvement in infrastructure and economic development planning. The contribution of this research in theory can provide knowledge about the common perception of the community that deliberation is an effective model of communication in development communication.Recommendation: Subsequent research is on social construction regarding gender equality, village apparatus, and village institutions in the motivation of village development meetings.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan membuktikan ada tidaknya hubungan antara komunikasi interpersonal dengan semangat kerja di karyawan PT. Asuransi Bhakti Bhayangkara, Jakarta. menjelaskan dalam komunikasi interpersonal selain melibatkan dua orang yang bertatap muka, terdapat 5 (lima) indikator komunikasi interpersonal,yaitu: aspek keterbukaan, aspek empati, aspek dukungan, aspek rasa positif, dan aspek kesetaraan. Semangat kerja adalah suasana batin untuk melakukan pekerjaan secara lebih giat sehingga pekerjaan cepat selesai dan lebih baik serta ongkos per unit dapat diperkecil (4). Pengukuran variabel komunikasi interpersonal dan semangat kerja menggunakan skala Iikert. Penelitian ini melibatkan para karyawan di kantor pusat PT. Asuransi Bhakti Bhayangkara, Jakarta. Pada penelitian ini, metode yang peneliti gunakan yaitu metode kuantitatif eksplanatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket kuesioner, dan memilih narasumber penelitian yaitu para karyawan kantor pusat PT. Asuransi Bhakti Bhayangkara di Jakarta. Teknik penentuan responden dengan teknik sampling random sederhana. Tahapan -tahapan metode analisis data pada penelitian ini, dimulai dari penentuan populasi, penentuan sampel, daftar kuesioner variabel X dan Y, daftar hasil kuesioner variabel X dan Y, uji validitas dengan koefisien korelasi Rank - Spearman dan reliabilitas dengan koefisien reabilitas alpha, menghitung koefisien korelasi dengan menggunakan koefisien korelasi Pearson’s r, koefisien determinasi r2, uji r , hipotesis null dan alternatif.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the efficiency of metamorphosis in the migration of analog communication to a digitized system of mass communication about popular culture and the political economy of mass media. economy of mass media. This research uses cultural theory with descriptive qualitative research methods. and narrative analysis based on literature data sources. The results of the study that the metamorphosis of analog media into digitalized media provides effective popular culture values for individuals and organizations in the use of mass communication media as social interaction, as well as the political economy of the media. Research recommendations on the communication role of organizational leaders in coordinating digitization systems in more creative digital management of popular culture in society.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas mengenai penggunaan media social Instagram sebagai sumber informasi Wisata DKI Jakarta @Jakarta.Tourism. penelitian ini merupakan sebuah penelitian kualitatif dengan Teknik analisis konseptual pada penelitian-penelitian terdahulu dengan menggunakan teori Computer Mediated Communication (CMC). Hasil dari penelitian ini bahwa media social Instagram sangat berperan sebagai salah satu platform digital dalam memperoleh informasi wisata yang terdapat di DKI Jakarta. Media Sosial Instagram dianggap sebagai sarana yang efektif  memperoleh informasi melalui postingan, reels, share dan like postingan. Dengan adanya akun @Jakarta.tourism dapat memberikan rekomendasi wisata yang ada di DKI Jakarta.

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tekstual dalam pemberitaan Media Online terkait Terorisme Bom Bunuh diri di Astan Anyar Bandung.  Metodologi pada penelitian ini menggunakan Deskriptif Kualitatif dengan Analisis Tekstual. Melalui Analisis Tekstual ini untuk mengidentifikasi berbagai teks berita  yang yang dimuat pada berita online. Pada Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan berita-berita melalui Media Online seperti Kompas.com, CNN.com dan lain sebagainya. Pada Media Online yang beritakan terkait Bom Bunuh Diri yang Kejadian di Astana Anyar, menyebabkan pelaku dan 1 anggota polisi tewas, 3 anggota luka berat dan 4 luka ringan. Komunikasi keamanan telah dilakukan dengan bantuan dari Gubernur Jawa Barat (Ridwan Kamil) dengan menghadirkan bantuan Tim psikologi dari Polda Jawa Barat Trauma Healing untuk warga dan masyarakat dengan titik kumpul di masjid yang berada dekat lokasi kejadian Asta Anyar, Bandung.

Abstract

The habit of sharing travel experiences on social media is increasingly attached to modern life today, making the theme of User Generated Content (UGC) in tourism never be uninteresting topic to research. Research on UGC in tourism grew 30.31% over the last 10 years. This study uses a bibliometric approach to analyze the database from Scopus with the keyword "User Generated Content" AND Tourism, in the period 2014 – 2023. 504 documents were found from the database and use PRISMA to select, narrowing it down to 321 documents that were used as units of analysis. The application "Biblioshiny R package Bibliometrix" is used for data analysis and visualization. The results showed that the theme with “online”, “findings” and “reviews”, is still a research trend in the future.

Abstract

In the midst of the high production of coal to meet the energy needs of society, JATAM strives to carry out a social campaign for environmental advocacy in the indigenous communities of Kalimantan. The purpose of this article is to describe the management of JATAM's deadly coal campaign in advocating for the environmental rights of indigenous communities in Kalimantan due to coal mining activities. A qualitative research approach was chosen to uncover data to address these objectives. The data collection techniques employed were interviews and documentation through online media monitoring. The data analysis technique utilized three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results obtained indicate that the campaign aims to advocate for the rights of indigenous communities in Kalimantan to have a safe and healthy environment without mining contamination. The primary target audience includes indigenous communities and the government. In its implementation, JATAM engages in discussions and provides writing training for indigenous communities. Furthermore, JATAM collaborates with Greenpeace and other international NGOs to conduct on-the-ground lobbying of government policies through various actions. The targeted communities have shown a change in attitude and behavior, demonstrating acceptance and willingness to learn about the impacts of mining and their rights to life in their indigenous land.
