Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the cooperative learning model Talking Stick on the learning independence of fourth-grade students at SDN 101927 Sekip. The research employed an experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The findings revealed that the Talking Stick cooperative learning model significantly influenced students' learning independence. The average independence score in the experimental class utilizing the Talking Stick model was 82.2, with a standard deviation of 9.06, compared to the control class employing conventional methods, which recorded an average independence score of 51.67 and a standard deviation of 7.18. Hypothesis testing showed a calculated t-value of 0.06, which was compared to the critical t-value at a 5% significance level (0.245). The results confirmed that the hypothesis was accepted, indicating that the Talking Stick learning model effectively enhances students' learning independence. This study underscores the importance of implementing cooperative learning strategies to foster students' autonomy and engagement in the learning process.

Abstract

Fertilizer is one of the strategic elements that plays a role in increasing productivity and unity part of the farming system. The current difficulty for farmers is the scarcity and inaccessibility of fertilizer subsidies, forcing them to seek alternatives to reduce fertilizer purchase costs. An alternative that can be used with organic fertilizer, which can be made using cow dung and aren plant waste, is bokashi fertilizer. The purpose of implementing this Community Service Program is to provide information related to technological innovations in processing aren waste and animal manure as organic fertilizer/compost to increase farmers' income and its application on plants. The implementation method of the activity includes preparation such as location surveys, discussions and explanations on bokashi fertilizer production, outreach and training through material presentation and demonstrations/practice on how to make bokashi fertilizer, as well as monitoring and evaluation. The results of the activity show a significant increase in knowledge and skills among the Bukit Harapan farmer group participants. Before the implementation of the community service activity, the partners' knowledge of waste processing as organic fertilizer was only 4.43%. After the community service activities, the partners' skills increased to 92.29%. The results of the mentoring for the Bukit Harapan Farmers Group were successfully achieved. This is evident from the bokashi, which is mature, has a dark color, a fine texture, and is odorless.

Abstract

Menganalisis potensi daerah Desa Jabung Kecamatan Jabung Kabupaten Malang Provinsi Jawa Timur, sebagai sentra pertanian dan perkebunan serta sinergisatas dengan peternakan Unggas, Domba dan Sapi. Perlu adanya terobosan inovatif, salah satunya dengan pemanfaatan pakan alternatif untuk memanfaatkan beberapa bahan pakan yang layak untuk dikembangkan sebagai pakan ternak, diantaranya yaitu cacahan batang pisang dan dedak padi. Daerah Jabung dengan tanah yang subur dimana sebagaian lahanya untuk wilayah dataran tinggi ditanami tanaman padi dan untuk lahan kebun ditanami dengan tanaman tebu dan pohon pisang. Batang pisang yang merupakan limbah dari kebun pisang memiliki potensi yang cukup besar sebagai bahan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pakan ternak. Batang pisang diketahui memiliki kandungan protein kasar 2,4%-8,3%, lemak Kasar 3,2%-8,1%, dan serat kasar 13,4%-31,7%. Tujuan dari Program Pengabdian masyarkat dalam bidang Ilmu dan Teknologi (IPTEK) adalah membuat pakan alternatif dari cacahan batang pisang dan dedak padi untuk pakan entog. Hasil yang didapat yaitu ternak entog yang diberi pakan batang pohon pisang dan dedak padi mempunyai pertambahan bobot badan sebesar 180-400 g. Dari pengabdian ini diharapkan mampu membantu peternak Itik dalam mengolah pakan alternatif dan diharapkan dapat meningkatkan taraf perekonomian masyarakat dalam mengatasi permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh peternak, sehingga pengembangan entog di desa Jabung diharapkan dapat maksimal.

Abstract

The rapid development of science and technology has given rise to various innovations in the field of technology that are created to facilitate activities, especially in the field of education. Creative thinking and critical thinking skills are very much needed following the demands of 21st-century skills, namely so that students have various abilities, including critical thinking, creative thinking, communication and collaboration. STEM is an integrative learning approach that combines Knowledge (Science), Technology (Technology), Engineering (Engineering), and Mathematics (Mathematics). Several studies have shown that the STEM approach positively affects student learning, so this study tries to implement STEM based on local wisdom on learning outcomes. This study aims to determine how student learning outcomes are before and after providing a STEM learning model based on local wisdom. The type of research used is quantitative with an experimental method. Sample selection uses a simple random sampling technique, with research subjects being grade IX students of SMP Muhammadiyah Kediri. The results of the study showed that the average student learning outcomes before the action were relatively low; after being given treatment, the average student learning outcomes increased. The results obtained using the paired t-test were that the significance value of learning outcomes was 0.000 <0.05, meaning that there was a difference in the average learning outcomes of students before and after the local wisdom-based STEM learning model provision.

Abstract

Tanah kapur merupakan salah satu jenis lahan marjinal yang memiliki keterbatasan dalam mendukung pertumbuhan tanaman akibat rendahnya kandungan bahan organik, kapasitas tukar kation, dan kejenuhan basa. Upaya perbaikan sifat tanah dapat dilakukan melalui pemanfaatan bahan organik lokal seperti limbah sagu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh pemberian kompos limbah sagu terhadap perbaikan karakteristik kimia tanah kapur di Kabupaten Majene. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober hingga Desember 2024 di kawasan Food Estate Majene, Provinsi Sulawesi Barat. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan rancangan acak kelompok lengkap yang terdiri atas empat perlakuan perbandingan tanah dan kompos limbah sagu (P0 = tanpa kompos, P1 = 1:1, P2 = 2:1, dan P3 = 3:1) serta empat ulangan. Parameter yang diamati meliputi pH tanah, rasio C/N, kejenuhan basa (KB), dan kapasitas tukar kation (KTK). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian kompos limbah sagu berpengaruh nyata terhadap semua parameter pengamatan. Nilai pH tanah meningkat dari 6,15 pada kontrol (P0) menjadi 6,74 pada perlakuan P2 dan 6,69 pada P3. Rasio C/N tanah juga mengalami peningkatan dari 10,00 (P0) menjadi 14,00 (P3). Kejenuhan basa meningkat cukup signifikan, dari 31,00% pada kontrol menjadi 45,00% pada perlakuan P3. Nilai KTK tertinggi dicapai pada perlakuan P2 sebesar 24,15 cmol(+)/kg, meningkat dari 20,19 cmol(+)/kg pada kontrol. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa kompos limbah sagu berpotensi digunakan sebagai pembenah tanah organik untuk meningkatkan kesuburan tanah kapur dan mendukung praktik pertanian berkelanjutan di wilayah Majene

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas petani milenial dalam mengembangkan hilirisasi komoditas jewawut (Setaria italica) melalui produksi pupuk organik cair (POC) ramah lingkungan berbasis limbah pertanian. Program dilaksanakan di Desa Galung Lego, Kabupaten Polewali Mandar, Provinsi Sulawesi Barat dengan melibatkan kelompok petani milenial setempat. Metode kegiatan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan teknis, dan pendampingan produksi POC menggunakan bahan baku limbah buah pisang dan bioaktivator alami. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan peserta sebesar 90% dan keterampilan dalam memproduksi serta mengemas pupuk organik cair secara mandiri. Kegiatan ini juga mendorong munculnya inisiatif wirausaha lokal berbasis pertanian berkelanjutan. Dengan demikian, program ini berkontribusi terhadap penguatan kapasitas petani muda dalam inovasi agroindustri berkelanjutan dan pengelolaan limbah pertanian ramah lingkungan.

Abstract

Dalam proses transaksi perdagangan konvensional yang melibatkan penjual dan pembeli dalam satu tempat, seringkali mendapati kearifan lokal didalamnya. Salah satu kearifan local dari perdagangan Jawa adalah konsep tuna satak bathi sanak. Konsep ini memiliki arti ‘berkorban sedikit namun untung mendapat banyak relasi’ yang mulai dilirik sebagai kearifan lokal dalam berdagang yang bisa menyelesaikan masalah-masalah perdagangan era kini. Penelitian ini mengkaji sejauh mana konsep perdagangan Jawa tuna satak bathi sanak pada muslim pedagang Ngruki yang juga menerapkan konsep berdagang secara Syar’i dapat berjalan selaras hingga menghasilkan kesuksesan atau sustainabilitas dalam perdagangan mereka. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan jika konsep berdagang tuna satak bathi sanak pada muslim pedagang Ngruki bukan sekedar politik dagang orang Jawa. Namun mereka berupaya melanggengkan hubungan dengan pelanggan (social bonding) juga mengikat secara emosional dengan pelanggan (emotional bonding) agar bisa melakukan pembelian berulang (repurchase). Kedermawan para pedagang itu mereka anggap sebagai sedekah, meski demikian mereka tetap memperoleh keuntungan secara ekonomi (financial bonding). Namun, menariknya konsep ini hanya berlaku pada mayoritas pedagang berskala kecil, pada pedagang skala menengah sebagian saja yang melakukan. Sedang pedagang skala besar hanya sebagian kecil saja yang melakukan konsep ini, karena mereka professional dalam jalankan usaha. Abstract

Education today requires students to not only be proficient in academic knowledge, but also to have the ability to think critically and dare to express their opinions clearly, logically, systematically, rationally, and responsibly. Unfortunately, in learning practices, many students are still passive and less involved in classroom discussions. The ability to express opinions is an important aspect that can reflect the character of students who are active, confident, and communicative. This article presents the results of research on the influence of the Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) learning model and the use of digital media (Quizizz) on improving students' ability to express their opinions. The study was conducted at SMAN 1 Negerikaton, involving 141 tenth-grade students out of a total population of 216 students, selected using the Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique. The instrument used was a closed-ended Likert scale questionnaire, and the data was analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that the STAD model has a significant effect of 68.2%, and digital media such as Quizizz has an effect of 56.6% on students' opinion-forming abilities. Together, these two approaches contributed 73.9% to increasing student participation in expressing opinions. The combination of cooperative learning strategies and digital media not only encourages students to speak more actively but also increases social interaction, conceptual understanding, and student confidence. This proves that collaboratively designed technology-based learning can be an effective solution to overcome one-way and boring learning. Therefore, teachers and education practitioners are advised to make optimal use of this strategy in an effort to develop students who are critical thinkers, communicative, and ready to face the challenges of the 21st century.
