Abstract

Pakcoy is a viable horticultural plant. High consumer demand, but the national pakcoy production is still low. This study aimed to examine the effect of various compost doses and PGPR doses on the growth and yield of pakcoy plants. This study used a 5x4 factorial RAL with 3 replications. The first factor is compost dosage (K) consisting of K0 = 0 kgN/ha compost, K1 = 138 kgN/ha compost, K2 = 69 kgN/ha compost, and K3 = 138 kgN/ha compost, K4 = 207 kgN/ha compost. The second factor is the PGPR dose (P) consisting of P0 = 0 ml/l water, P1 = 5 ml/l water, P2 = 10 ml/l water, and P3 = 15 ml/l water. The results showed that offering compost as much as 207 kgN/ha increased the growth and yield of pakcoy plants compared to giving 138 kgN/ha of inorganic fertilizer. The increase in the PGPR dose that was applied 2 times at planting and 14 days after planting (DAT) of 200 ml did not significantly increase the growth and yield of pakcoy plants.

Abstract

Coastal land is identical to marginal land, namely having a low soil fertility level. Liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) made from leachate can be used to increase the availability of nutrients in the soil. This study focuses on increasing the growth and yield of cayenne pepper plants on marginal land using various doses of liquid organik fertilizer made from leachate. This study was conducted from May to September 2023. The treatment was the provision of LOF consisting of 4, namely without LOF, 20%, 40%, and 60%. The results of the study showed that the liquid organic fertilizer treatment was able to increase nutrients in the soil. Treatment without liquid organic fertilizer and 60% liquid organik fertilizer significantly affected plant height. Meanwhile, the treatment without liquid organic fertilizer and 20% liquid organic fertilizer was significant for stem diameter, number of fruits, and fruit weight of cayenne pepper plants. The 20% liquid organik fertilizer treatment is recommended to increase the growth and yield of cayenne pepper plants.

Abstract

Research focused on the important role of teacher competence in shaping individual understanding of learning motivation. 170 respondents used relevant instruments to collect data. Regression analysis is used to test the independent variables, personality competence, competency, social competence and professional competence against learning motivation as a dependent variable. The results of the statistical tests show that the regression model has good quality, and there are indications of other factors that also influence it. The analysis shows that the practice of personality competencies, competences, social competencies and professional empathy has a significant and positive influence on student learning motivation. Implications, teachers' competencies can be factors that support the development of understanding and practice of Buddhist teachings in the learning environment.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the cooperative learning model Talking Stick on the learning independence of fourth-grade students at SDN 101927 Sekip. The research employed an experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The findings revealed that the Talking Stick cooperative learning model significantly influenced students' learning independence. The average independence score in the experimental class utilizing the Talking Stick model was 82.2, with a standard deviation of 9.06, compared to the control class employing conventional methods, which recorded an average independence score of 51.67 and a standard deviation of 7.18. Hypothesis testing showed a calculated t-value of 0.06, which was compared to the critical t-value at a 5% significance level (0.245). The results confirmed that the hypothesis was accepted, indicating that the Talking Stick learning model effectively enhances students' learning independence. This study underscores the importance of implementing cooperative learning strategies to foster students' autonomy and engagement in the learning process.

Abstract

Fertilizer is one of the strategic elements that plays a role in increasing productivity and unity part of the farming system. The current difficulty for farmers is the scarcity and inaccessibility of fertilizer subsidies, forcing them to seek alternatives to reduce fertilizer purchase costs. An alternative that can be used with organic fertilizer, which can be made using cow dung and aren plant waste, is bokashi fertilizer. The purpose of implementing this Community Service Program is to provide information related to technological innovations in processing aren waste and animal manure as organic fertilizer/compost to increase farmers' income and its application on plants. The implementation method of the activity includes preparation such as location surveys, discussions and explanations on bokashi fertilizer production, outreach and training through material presentation and demonstrations/practice on how to make bokashi fertilizer, as well as monitoring and evaluation. The results of the activity show a significant increase in knowledge and skills among the Bukit Harapan farmer group participants. Before the implementation of the community service activity, the partners' knowledge of waste processing as organic fertilizer was only 4.43%. After the community service activities, the partners' skills increased to 92.29%. The results of the mentoring for the Bukit Harapan Farmers Group were successfully achieved. This is evident from the bokashi, which is mature, has a dark color, a fine texture, and is odorless.

Abstract

Menganalisis potensi daerah Desa Jabung Kecamatan Jabung Kabupaten Malang Provinsi Jawa Timur, sebagai sentra pertanian dan perkebunan serta sinergisatas dengan peternakan Unggas, Domba dan Sapi. Perlu adanya terobosan inovatif, salah satunya dengan pemanfaatan pakan alternatif untuk memanfaatkan beberapa bahan pakan yang layak untuk dikembangkan sebagai pakan ternak, diantaranya yaitu cacahan batang pisang dan dedak padi. Daerah Jabung dengan tanah yang subur dimana sebagaian lahanya untuk wilayah dataran tinggi ditanami tanaman padi dan untuk lahan kebun ditanami dengan tanaman tebu dan pohon pisang. Batang pisang yang merupakan limbah dari kebun pisang memiliki potensi yang cukup besar sebagai bahan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pakan ternak. Batang pisang diketahui memiliki kandungan protein kasar 2,4%-8,3%, lemak Kasar 3,2%-8,1%, dan serat kasar 13,4%-31,7%. Tujuan dari Program Pengabdian masyarkat dalam bidang Ilmu dan Teknologi (IPTEK) adalah membuat pakan alternatif dari cacahan batang pisang dan dedak padi untuk pakan entog. Hasil yang didapat yaitu ternak entog yang diberi pakan batang pohon pisang dan dedak padi mempunyai pertambahan bobot badan sebesar 180-400 g. Dari pengabdian ini diharapkan mampu membantu peternak Itik dalam mengolah pakan alternatif dan diharapkan dapat meningkatkan taraf perekonomian masyarakat dalam mengatasi permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh peternak, sehingga pengembangan entog di desa Jabung diharapkan dapat maksimal.
