Abstract

This article examines the enduring relevance of Socrates' "Apology" and Martin Luther King Jr.'s "Letter from Birmingham Jail," highlighting their shared commitment to justice and ethical integrity despite the vast differences in their historical and socio-political contexts. Both texts employ powerful rhetorical strategies to advocate for truth and moral righteousness, challenging deeply ingrained societal injustices. Socrates, through his dialectical method, exposes the inconsistencies in his accusers' arguments, encouraging critical self-examination, while King, through logical reasoning and emotional appeals, compels his audience to confront the moral failings of their society. The thematic connections between the two works, particularly their emphasis on truth, moral integrity, and the courage to challenge unjust laws, underscore their timeless significance in the discourse on moral philosophy and social justice. By situating their arguments within broader ethical and intellectual traditions, both Socrates and King provide timeless models of ethical leadership and moral courage. Their works continue to resonate, offering profound insights into the ongoing struggle for a more just and equitable world, making their messages relevant for contemporary movements against injustice and oppression.

Abstract

Curug Muntu Development Program in Ketenger Village, Baturraden District, Banyumas Regency, aims to strengthen ecotourism in the area. Curug Muntu, which is known as a natural tourist attraction, has great potential to support the local economy and increase awareness of environmental conservation. So far, Curug Muntu has not been used as an ecotourism destination in Ketenger village because its condition still needs to be managed. Its existence is different from the two waterfalls that have been managed as tourist destinations, namely Curug Jenggala and Curug Bayan. This development involves empowering local communities through partnerships, which is expected to improve infrastructure, increase tourism service capacity, and provide direct economic benefits to village residents. This program is part of a larger effort to develop tourism potential in Banyumas and promote sustainable ecotourism. Through training and practice during the community service program, the community succeeded in creating infrastructure leading to and at Curug Muntu, increasing the capacity of tourism services by creating social media to promote Curug Muntu, and opening up employment opportunities for the surrounding community. With the introduction of social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, Curug Muntu is starting to become widely known, which is marked by an increase in tourist visit.

Abstract

Ekowisata Tirta Sena Curug Muntu yang terletak di Dusun Kalipagu, Desa Ketenger, Kecamatan Baturraden, Kabupaten Banyumas memiliki potensi besar sebagai destinasi wisata alam. Meski demikian, pengembangan ekowisata ini menghadapi beberapa kendala seperti rendahnya kunjungan wisatawan yang tercatat hanya 377 orang dalam periode September 2024 hingga Januari 2025. Kendala utama teridentifikasi dalam hal minimnya eksposur digital akibat belum tersedianya website resmi serta optimalisasi media sosial yang kurang efektif. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan branding dan pemasaran destinasi ekowisata tersebut melalui pembuatan dan optimalisasi website serta media sosial. Metode kegiatan mencakup analisis situasi untuk memahami kebutuhan destinasi wisata secara mendalam. Selanjutnya, diberikan pelatihan teknis pengelolaan digital kepada pengelola destinasi serta produksi konten visual berkualitas tinggi melalui penggunaan drone. Evaluasi berkala dilakukan untuk memastikan efektivitas penerapan strategi pemasaran digital yang telah dirancang. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan website resmi Tirta Sena Curug Muntu berhasil dibuat dengan fitur interaktif seperti reservasi online dan galeri visual yang menarik. Optimalisasi media sosial menghasilkan peningkatan signifikan jumlah pengikut dan interaksi di platform Instagram dan TikTok. Pelatihan pengelolaan website meningkatkan keterampilan pengelola, memungkinkan pengelolaan mandiri secara berkelanjutan. Dampaknya terlihat dari peningkatan jumlah kunjungan wisatawan sekitar 30%, peningkatan pendapatan destinasi, serta tumbuhnya kesadaran masyarakat lokal akan pelestarian lingkungan dan budaya. Kolaborasi aktif dengan mitra lokal seperti Lembaga Masyarakat Desa Hutan (LMDH) Gempita semakin memperkuat potensi keberlanjutan program. Secara keseluruhan, program ini berhasil meningkatkan visibilitas digital destinasi dan memberdayakan komunitas lokal secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Introduction: Indonesia, with a population reaching 278.69 million by mid-2023, is among the most densely populated countries in the world. Since the post-COVID-19 era, the number of mental health issues among Generation Z has increased significantly, with 671 reported suicide cases and 5,116 suicide attempts recorded by Statistics Indonesia (BPS) in 2020. This alarming trend highlights the urgent need to initiate community service movements targeting the productive age group, particularly Generation Z. One such initiative was carried out at the Institut Teknologi Telekomunikasi Purwokerto, where students primarily focus on the field of information technology.Purposes of The Devotion: The aim of this community service is to provide outreach and education to students, representing Generation Z, in order to foster quality mental health resilience in the global era.Method of The Devotion: The method consists of a preliminary survey, site visits, and socialization-education sessions, accompanied by discussions using respondent questionnaires to collect relevant feedback.Results Main Findings of the Devotion: It is at the heart of a research Social media offers numerous benefits; however, excessive use has a negative impact on psychological well-being, raising concerns about the mental health of Generation Z. Recommended efforts include collaboration with academics, government bodies, and NGOs to implement: a) Education and literacy programs for Generation Z; b) Counseling and advocacy support; c) Self-awareness development to manage social media usage.

Abstract

This study examines how gendered power struggles are represented through the female protagonists of Fair Play (2023) and Radioactive (2019). Both narratives center on Emily and Marie Curie who navigate male-dominated professional environments shaped by patriarchal norms and institutional hierarchies. The purpose of this comparative study is to deepen feminist readings of contemporary and historical female figures while fostering critically empathetic engagement with visual narratives. The research utilizes a comparative critical analysis framework, drawing on the theories of Judith Butler, Michelle M. Lazar, and bell hooks to explore how institutionalized misogyny, emotional labor, and resistance are constructed on screen. The findings reveal that both protagonists experience layered forms of marginalization, including workplace bias, emotional burden, and social surveillance. Yet, each asserts agency, Emily through reclaiming her dignity in the corporate world, and Marie Curie through intellectual defiance in academia. This study contributes to feminist film criticism by highlighting the emotional cost of women’s survival within gendered structures and underscoring the need for more intersectional and humanized portrayals of female agency in media.

Abstract

Negara Indonesia telah menyatakan sebagai negara hukum yang termuat dalam Undang-undang Dasar 1945 khususnya terdapat dalam Pasal 28 huruf A sampai J. Akibat dari negara hukum merefleksikan adanya jaminan hak asasi manusia bagi seluruh warga negara indonesia dan negara yang dibentuk untuk oleh hukum negara. Salah satu sasaran jaminan hak asasi manusia yang bersasaran salah satunya penyandang disabilitas mental. Tujuan penelitian pertama memetakan dan menganalisis bentuk hak hak mendasar bagi pemenuhan disabilitas mental, kedua menganalisis upaya pemenuhan disabiltas mental sebagai jaminan hak asasi manusia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yang berpusat pada perilaku, tindakan, ekspresi pihak informan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan sosial legal reasearch dengan mengoperasikan inventarisasi peraturan perundang-undangan dan mengolah data empirik yang aktual.Hasil yang dicapai menggunakan teori yang relevan dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan tujuan penelitian. Kesimpulan yang didapat, pertama menemukan formula hak- hak mendasar bagi penyandang disabilitas mental kedua, menganilis upaya pemenuhan hak-hak mendasar penyandang disabilitas mental, sebagai jamiman hak asasi menurut hukum yang berlaku.

Abstract

The problem of the unavailability of a proper administrative and land-recording system was addressed by developing a digital-based recording system, E-GEPATAN, which can be utilized to systematically document land area, ownership, and land status. The implementation method began with data collection through interviews with the Plana Village Government and the Plana Jaya Farmers’ Group Association (Gapoktan), as well as observations on member registration and documentation of agricultural land, particularly rice fields. The results indicate that most of the predetermined targets were successfully achieved, including the documentation of 95% of agricultural land within E-GEPATAN, 82% of harvests recorded digitally, and 65 farmers actively using the marketing features. Following the facilitation and technical assistance through E-GEPATAN, farmers gradually adapted to the digital system, which allowed agricultural data recording to become more systematic and centrally monitored by Gapoktan as the primary manager. Behavioral changes among farmers were also observed, particularly in their newly established practices of soil quality testing through pH measurement, which had never been conducted before. These outcomes highlight that E-GEPATAN serves not merely as a recording platform but as a digital transformation instrument that promotes transparency, efficiency, and enhanced competitiveness in the agricultural sector of Plana Village
