Abstract

Pada konteks globalisasi dan perkembangan teknologi kebutuhan akan pendekatan pembelajaran yang inovatif dan relevan dengan tuntutan zaman semakin mendesak. Guru bahasa Indonesia sebagai agen pembelajaran memiliki peran penting dalam memastikan siswa memiliki keterampilan yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan zaman. Penelitian ini mengusulkan pelatihan intensif yang fokus pada pengembangan bahan ajar digital yang berpusat pada pembelajaran abad ke-21 mencakup berbagai aspek seperti kreativitas, kolaborasi, komunikasi, dan pemecahan masalah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif, melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi partisipatif terhadap sekelompok guru bahasa Indonesia yang mengikuti pelatihan. Hasil penelitian ini dianalisis secara tematik untuk mengidentifikasi perubahan, pemahaman, dan keterampilan guru dalam penyusunan bahan ajar digital serta dampaknya terhadap pembelajaran siswa. Hasil penelitian ini dapat memberikan pemahaman mendalam tentang efektivitas pelatihan dalam meningkatkan kualitas bahan ajar digital yang berorientasi pembelajaran abad-21 bagi guru bahasa Indonesia. Implikasi penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi positif dalam pengembangan kurikulum dan praktik pembelajaran yang lebih relevan dengan konteks zaman.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara kepercayaan diri mahasiswa dalam menyimak Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA) dan kesadaran mereka terhadap kesantunan berbahasa. Data diperoleh melalui dua instrumen berupa skala kepercayaan diri menyimak dan skala kesadaran kesantunan yang diberikan kepada mahasiswa BIPA dari tiga level: dasar, menengah, dan mahir. Uji normalitas dan analisis non-parametrik Kruskal-Wallis digunakan untuk menguji perbedaan antar level, sedangkan analisis korelasi dan regresi diterapkan untuk mengeksplorasi hubungan antarvariabel. Hasil menunjukkan tidak terdapat korelasi signifikan antara kepercayaan diri menyimak dan kesadaran kesantunan, dengan indikasi adanya fenomena overconfidence pada pemelajar dengan skor kepercayaan diri tinggi tetapi kesadaran kesantunan rendah. Temuan ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya pengajaran secara eksplisit tentang norma kesopanan dan nilai budaya Indonesia dalam pembelajaran BIPA. Implikasi pedagogis disoroti, khususnya integrasi pelatihan pragmatik ke dalam kurikulum BIPA guna menghasilkan komunikator yang fasih sekaligus beretika.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the views of South Korean students on Indonesian Language reading materials for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) that raise the theme of livelihood culture. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through questionnaires filled out by Busan University of Foreign Studies BIPA 3 and 4 students. The results of the study show that students are interested in cultural themes, such as civet coffee, salt farmers in Bali, and Minang restaurants. They expect reading materials that are presented digitally and interactively, equipped with supporting images or videos to be more interesting and easy to understand. In addition, students consider the similarity of cultural values ​​between Indonesia and South Korea as a factor that facilitates understanding and increases interest in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the challenges and strategies for learning Indonesian for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) in Jakarta Indonesia Korean School (JIKS), an international school based on the Korean curriculum whose participants are linguistically and culturally homogeneous. The main challenges in learning BIPA in JIKS include minimal interaction in Indonesian outside the classroom, the dominance of Korean language use in students' daily lives, and low learning motivation due to the position of BIPA subjects which are not included in the Korean core curriculum. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach through literature studies, analysis of learning contexts, and reflection on teaching practices. The results show that the thematic-contextual approach is an effective and relevant strategy to overcome these challenges. This strategy includes the application of themes that are close to children's lives, simple project activities, contextual dialogues, role plays, Indonesian language habits in classroom routines, and the use of concrete media such as pictures and real objects. This approach allows students to understand the language in a real context, while building their confidence in using Indonesian. These findings are expected to be a reference for BIPA teachers in designing learning that is appropriate to the conditions of students in homogeneous international schools.

Abstract

The increasing demand for culturally rich and engaging materials in Indonesian for Foreign Language Speakers (BIPA) programs highlights the need for innovative teaching resources. Existing folk story materials often fail to capture learners’ interest or accommodate their linguistic levels, making language acquisition and cultural understanding more challenging. This study aims to analyze the specific educational needs of BIPA learners in relation to comic-based folk story teaching materials, as a foundational step toward developing effective instructional resources. Employing a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through interviews and questionnaires involving 18 BIPA learners and 30 experienced instructors, along with a review of existing BIPA materials. The results show a strong preference for materials that blend simplified literary content with authentic cultural narratives in a visually engaging format. Learners and instructors identified comics as effective tools for enhancing comprehension and motivation, particularly for beginners. The study concludes that developing comic-based folk story materials addresses current pedagogical challenges in BIPA instruction while supporting intercultural learning. It recommends piloting these materials in diverse learning contexts and refining them based on learner feedback.

Abstract

Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA) di wilayah Lusofon memerlukan pendekatan linguistik yang mempertimbangkan struktur bahasa ibu peserta didik. Penelitian ini mengkaji perbedaan sintaksis antara Bahasa Indonesia dan Portugis serta implikasinya terhadap pengembangan materi ajar BIPA di SMAN 1 Aileu, Timor Leste. Menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif-kualitatif, data diperoleh dari analisis teks naratif dan ekspositori kedua bahasa, observasi pembelajaran, dan wawancara dengan pengajar serta peserta didik. Temuan menunjukkan kontras signifikan dalam pola subjek-predikat, sistem afiksasi, dan konstruksi klausa kompleks. Bahasa Indonesia mempertahankan urutan S-P-O-K yang stabil, sedangkan Portugis menunjukkan fleksibilitas urutan konstituen dengan sistem konjugasi verbal yang kompleks. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan integrasi pendekatan kontrastif dalam kurikulum BIPA sebagai strategi pedagogis yang responsif terhadap karakteristik linguistik lokal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa BIPA (Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing) di sebuah sekolah menengah di Timor Leste melalui penerapan metode kolaboratif. Latar penelitian muncul dari temuan awal di kelas bahwa keterampilan menulis siswa masih rendah pada aspek kosakata, struktur teks, kohesi, koherensi, dan mekanik bahasa. Penelitian menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis & McTaggart dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas akhir program BIPA. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes menulis, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi; dianalisis secara deskriptif-kualitatif dan kuantitatif sederhana. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan skor rata-rata menulis dari pra-siklus 55,75 (kategori kurang) menjadi 66,25 pada siklus I (cukup) dan 79,50 pada siklus II (baik). Peningkatan kumulatif mencapai 42,6% dari kondisi awal. Observasi kelas memperlihatkan partisipasi dan kolaborasi antarsiswa meningkat, terutama pada sesi peer review dan diskusi struktur teks. Temuan mendukung kerangka konstruktivisme sosial—interaksi dan scaffolding memperkaya proses berpikir, memperjelas ide, dan mendorong revisi efektif. Penelitian merekomendasikan pemanfaatan metode kolaboratif secara konsisten pada pengajaran menulis BIPA, khususnya untuk jenis teks yang menuntut logika kausal dan organisasi informasi seperti teks eksplanasi.

Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of a learning model as an alternative to overcome BIPA expository writing learning problems. The learning model in question is a collaborative model assisted by series image media. The population of this study is all students of grade XI ESG São Pedro, Comoro for the 2024 school year consisting of seven classes and totaling 314 students. The sample of this study is only one class, namely class 11 CT/A which totals 43 students. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The research method used is quantitative with the type of Pre-Experimental research and the design is one group pretest-posttest. The data collection technique used in this study is a test technique, which is using learning test results. The learning test in question is an expository writing skills test before  applying collaborative learning assisted by series image media (pretest) and an expository writing skills test after applying collaborative learning assisted by series image media (posttest). The data in this study uses descriptive and inferential statistical calculations by calculating student learning outcomes, improving student learning outcomes, data normality and hypothesis testing. From the results of data analysis and hypothesis testing using paired sample t tests, it can be concluded that the application of collaborative learning assisted by series image media is effective on expository writing skills.
