Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe and analyse the principal's leadership management so as to create an increase in teacher participation at SMP Negeri 3 Hamparan Perak. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The data sources were the principal, vice principal, teachers, and teachers. The results of the research are: (1) The principal's leadership management ability in planning to increase teacher participation has gone well according to teacher participation indicators, (2) The principal's leadership management ability in organising to increase teacher participation has gone well according to teacher participation indicators, (3) The principal's leadership management ability in controlling to increase teacher participation has gone well according to teacher participation indicators, (4). The principal's leadership management ability in involving teacher participation has gone well according to teacher participation indicators, and (5) The obstacle factors faced by the principal in increasing teacher participation at SMP Negeri 3 Hamparan Perak, namely: the existence of teachers who have low awareness of increasing teacher participation, there are still teachers who are less competent and there are still a lack of teachers as needed. From the overall leadership management of the principal, it can be stated that the principal of SMP Negeri 3 Hamparan Perak has carried out good leadership management.

Abstract

This study seeks to investigate the administration of full-day school education in influencing the development of character students of Nurul Ilmi Medan Estate Integrated Islamic Elementary School. This research uses a qualitative method. The results of the study show that: First, the implementation of full day school education management in the formation of student character, including: 1) the process of implementing student activities, 2) the method of implementing full day school management for students, and 3) the full day school management program in the development of students' character. The application of comprehensive day school administration in molding student character has been successful. This is evident through the significant amount of time dedicated to shaping pupils' character who are religious, disciplined, independent, creative, friendly and responsible. Furthermore, there is an extracurricular program, where students can develop their interests and talents, and there is also a program to instill religious values, such as students are disciplined in carrying out worship. Second, efforts to implement a Full-day school management method shapes student character SD IT Nurul Ilmi through the application of values based on the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah which are trained with disciplined and responsible habits so that it becomes a routine that is expected to have an influence on the formation of student character. Third, the advantages of full day school management at SD IT Nurul Ilmi Medan Estate include good quality teachers, very beautiful school locations, facilities and infrastructure, good service in dealing with students and parents, and parents feel safe and comfortable because children are well controlled. Meanwhile, weaknesses include some children feeling bored because they are at school every day, students feel that they are not free to adapt outside of school and lack of evaluation of monthly reports reported by teachers every month.

Abstract

Dalam upaya meningkatkan mutu sekolah, perencanaan dapat melibatkan dukungan dan motivasi kepada guru-guru, seperti pembinaan mental-spiritual, penghargaan atas prestasi, dan kegiatan berbagi pengalaman dengan memberikan contoh yang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis bentuk manajemen peningkatan mutu berbasis sekolah ditinjau dari perencanaan, pengorganisasian kelas, pelaksanaan pembelajaran dan pengawasan di Perguruan Kristen Methodist Indonesia Pantai Labu Deli Serdang. Untuk mengevaluasi dan mengkaji keefektifan manajemen peningkatan mutu berbasis sekolah di Perguruan Kristen Methodist Indonesia Pantai Labu Deli Serdang. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan dalam studi ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan menggunakan analisis data kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, studi pustaka dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah. redusi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan data. Hasil kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa metode manajemen peningkatan mutu berbasis sekolah di Perguruan Kristen Methodist Indonesia Pantai Labu Deli Serdang termasuk perencanaan, pengorganisasian kelas, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, dan pengawasan sudah efektif. Hal ini terbukti dengan tujuan yang ingin dicapai untuk memenuhi standar sekolah yang sempurna, seperti sarana prasarana, sumber daya manusia, dan program kerja. Efektifitas manajemen peningkatan mutu berbasis sekolah di Perguruan Kristen Methodist Indonesia Pantai Labu Deli Serdang adalah tercapainya tujuan yaitu tercapainya Manajemen berbasis Sekolah (MBS) dalam meningkatkan standar mutu sekolah, adanya strategi pencapaian yang dilakukan disekolah dalam upaya untuk mencapai standar mutu sekolah yang baik, adanya Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) dalam melaksanakan Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah (MBS) dan tersedianya sarana dan prasarana yang mendukung untuk menghasilkan standar mutu sekolah yang baik.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the Performance Analysis of Darul Qolam Islamic Boarding School. The method used is a case study research type with interview data collection techniques, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques using data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. This research was carried out at Darul Qolam Islamic Boarding School with the subject of the researcher and the object of the research being the principal, vice principal, administration, and teachers. The results of the study on the performance of the Islamic boarding school include the following activities: Managing and Developing Vision, Mission and Objectives, Analyzing the weaknesses and strengths of external factors, Caregivers who act as Parents and determining strategies. Likewise, the performance of the Darul Qolam Islamic Boarding School to create quality graduates, namely, the maximum involvement of teachers, with the leadership of the head of the madrasah who must have and understand a clear work vision, be able and willing to work hard, have a high work motivation, be diligent and steadfast in working, provide optimal service, and strong work discipline. In addition, it must also improve the competence and profession of teachers. Improving the quality of graduates who have intelligence is the hope of the madrasah, parents, the wider community, and the government. Realizing it by Managing the Quality of Tahfidz al-Quran, Minimum Limits for Student Promotion and Graduation Standards, improving quality culture, Improving the Quality of Teacher Competence.

Abstract

This study examines the role and challenges faced by Islamic religious education in Tapanuli Tengah. The objectives of this research are to understand the state of Islamic religious education in the region and to analyze its role and the challenges it encounters. The study employs a qualitative research method with a case study approach, collecting data through interviews conducted in schools or madrasas that represent the geographical conditions of the area. The research focuses on five senior high school-level institutions, Several key findings were identified. In Tapanuli Tengah, some schools have implemented programs to support the development of Islamic religious education, such as monthly religious study sessions (pengajian), communal religious obligations (fardhu kifayah), and extracurricular activities through the Islamic Student Organization (ROHIS) in Madrasah Aliyah. Additionally, some of the observed schools have incorporated technology into their teaching processes to enhance innovation and student engagement, However, challenges remain. Some students still exhibit low interest in Islamic religious education, attributed to rapid technological advancements and the widespread use of gadgets, which divert their attention away from classroom learning. This has led to a paradigm shift from doctrinal teaching methods to contextual, technology-based learning approaches rooted in local wisdom. Strengthening Islamic religious education requires synergy among schools/madrasas, families, and communities to ensure students remain guided and shielded from the negative impacts of social media.

Abstract

This study examines the strategies used by Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers to address student delinquency in junior high schools in Bandar Pasir Mandoge District, Asahan Regency. Using a qualitative approach with a multisite case study method, the research identifies delinquency types, causes, and intervention effectiveness. Findings reveal common issues such as truancy, improper mobile phone use, disrespect, avoidance of religious activities, and physical altercations. Contributing factors include weak religious foundations, economic struggles, lack of parental involvement, peer influence, and educational challenges. PAI teachers implement strategies like moral guidance, individualized mentoring, structured religious activities, parental collaboration, and rehabilitation programs. Schools with strong religious reinforcement programs show reduced misconduct, but inconsistent parental support and teacher workload remain obstacles. This study recommends standardized character education policies, enhanced teacher training, and greater parental engagement. The findings contribute to discussions on religious-based character education and student delinquency prevention in junior high schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan efektivitas MGMP dalam mengimplementasikan kurikulum merdeka belajar di MTs Negeri 1 Asahan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif studi kasus dimana pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu : Kepala Sekolah, Ketua MGMP, Sekretaris MGMP dan Guru- Guru. Tempat penelitian ini yaitu : Mts Negeri 1 Asahan, Mts Raudatul Hasanah, Mts Negeri Al Barkah dan Mts An Nikmah. Teknik Analisa data ini dimulai dari : Reduksi Data, Penyajian Data, Menarik Kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa peran MGMP dalam melaksanakan implementasi kurikulum merdeka diantaranya yakniworkshop kukikulummerdeka, penyusunanmodul, penyusunan perangkat pembelajaran, pemaparan materi, presentasi dan koreksi. Efektivitas MGMP MTs Negeri 1 Asahan dalam implementasi kurikulum merdeka berkaitan dengan produk yang dihasilkan yakni mengembangkan kurikulum, silabus, modul ajar dan melakukan analisis materipelajaran, programtahunan, programsemester, rencana pelajaran dan modifikasi kurikulum merdeka belajar.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the pattern of strengthening Islamic values in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at SMP Islam Terpadu Indah Medan through the integration of co-curricular and extracurricular activities. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis involving the vice principal, PAI teachers, and students. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, supported by triangulation techniques to ensure validity and credibility. The findings reveal that the reinforcement pattern is constructed through several interconnected strategies: religious habituation, vertical and horizontal integration of learning activities, social control and peer monitoring, the transformation of sanctions into spiritual development processes, differentiated coaching, and reward systems. These integrated patterns contribute to improving students’ discipline, responsibility, and the internalization of Islamic values in daily school life. The study offers a practical model for strengthening character-based Islamic education in school contexts.

Abstract

Character education based on Islamic values is an important necessity inresponding to the challenge of moral degradation among elementary school students. Elementary schools, as the foundation of formal education, have a strategic role in instilling moral, spiritual, and social values in an integrated manner. This study aims to analyze the implementation and effectiveness of Islamic values-based character education at SD Negeri No. 107463 Paya Pasir. The study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection techniques include observation, in-depth interviews with the principal and teachers, and documentation studies. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing with source triangulation to ensure data validity. The results showed that character education based on Islamic values was implemented in an integrated manner through classroom learning, habit-forming activities, school culture, and extracurricular programs. This implementation is quite effective in shaping students' character, especially in terms of religiosity, honesty, discipline, responsibility, social awareness, leadership, and ethical decision-making skills in everyday life. The success of the program is supported by teachers' exemplary behavior, consistent religious habits, reinforcement of rules and behavior monitoring, and a conducive school climate. However, the study also found challenges in the form of differences in the family backgrounds of students, which affected the consistency of character behavior. These findings confirm that Islamic values-based character education in public elementary schools has strong potential to shape ethical and responsible behavior, provided that there is continuous synergy between schools and families.

Abstract

This study examines the strengthening of students’ religious character education through Islamic values at SD Negeri 106232 Penggalangan. The research is grounded in the growing concern over moral decline, low discipline, and weakening spiritual awareness among elementary students, and the limited empirical studies in public primary schools. Using a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis involving the principal, teachers, and students. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, comprising data collection, data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The findings reveal that religious character education is implemented in a planned, structured, and sustainable manner through the integration of school culture, written policies, teacher role modeling, and religious habituation activities. These practices contribute to improvements in students’ self-control, discipline, responsibility, worship orderliness, and social interactions. Supporting factors include a strong school culture, teacher exemplarity, and parental involvement, while constraints involve limited time and students’ diverse backgrounds. This study contributes empirical evidence that Islamic values can effectively strengthen religious character education in public primary schools when implemented comprehensively and consistently.
