Abstract

During the Covid-19 outbreak, the use of online learning presented a challenge for educators in the province of Papua. In Papua Province, 99 participants from 12 districts and cities participated in the training session utilizing Google Classroom. Training activities were carried out online using the zoom meeting application. The purpose of this training is to help and equip teachers to carry out online learning using the google classroom application. Participants were taught how to build classes, make announcements, create discussion forums, upload subject matter, assignments, and exam questions, construct quizzes and exam questions using google forms, and were given a simulation of how to utilize google classroom capabilities. The service's results suggest that users truly require training to advance their knowledge and abilities utilizing online learning tools like google classroom. After attending the training, participants have improved their knowledge and abilities in utilizing google classroom, have improved levels of creativity and expertise to create online courses, and have a high degree of satisfaction. Given that the Covid-19 pandemic is not known to have an end date and that the industrial revolution 4.0 and the industrial revolution 5.0 are both upon us, it is imperative that online learning training for teachers be conducted continually.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menaganalisis kebutuhan mahasiswa terhadap ketersediaan sumber belajar dalam menunjang implementasi Student Centre  Learning (SCL) di Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika STKIP Abdi Wacana Wamena. Jenis dan pendekatan dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan angket, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa sebanyak 89,16% (74 orang) mahasiswa merasa senang belajar jika menggunakan buku teks, modul, diktat, atau buku ajar untuk memahami materi kuliah. Ketersediaan sumber belajar yang ada masih terbatas dan belum mampu memenuhi kebutuhan dimana hanya 42,17% (35 orang) mahasiwa menyakan bahwa ketersediaan sumber belajar sehingga perlu dilakukan upaya peningkatan kuantitas dan mutu terhadap sumber belajar berupa buku teks, diktat, buku ajar, atau ebook yang ada diperpustakaan telah memadai. Oleh karena itu, salah satu upaya yang dapat ditempuh adalah perlu dilakukan pengembangan terhadap bahan ajar dalam menyediakan sumber belajar yang memadai bagi mahasiswa untuk menunjang terlaksananya pembelajaran mandiri dimana lebih berpusat pada mahasiswa (Student Centre Learning). Hal ini didukung dari respon mahasiswa sebesar 71,08% (59 orang) yang menyatakan setuju dan merasa perlu apabila dilakukan pengembangan terhadap bahan ajar. Pengembangan bahan ajar yang memadai perlu dilakukan untuk mendukung pembelajaran mandiri berbasis SCL.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan alat peraga terhadap keaktifan belajar matematika pada materi penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan bulat di siswa kelas VII SMP Advent Wamena. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan desain kelompok kontrol. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen yang diajarkan menggunakan alat peraga dan kelas kontrol yang diajarkan menggunakan metode konversional. Hasil analisis menujukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan pada keaktifan siswa di kelas eksperimen dibandingkan dengan kelas control. Maka saya dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan alat peraga dalam pembelajaran matematika memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap keaktifan siswa khususnya dalam pemahaman materi penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan bulat. Oleh karena itu, disarankan bagi guru untuk memanfaatkan alat peraga dalam proses pembelajaran guna meningkatkan keaktifan belajar yang menyenangkan.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to see the effect of using the Assignment Method on Mathematics Learning Outcomes in Complex Number Operations for Class This type of research is quantitative, with a research design of all students in class XI IPS SMA Anugerah Gloria Terpadu Wamena totaling 28 students with the number of class student. Data collection techniques in this research used questionnaire methods, test methods, observation and documentation methods. To test quantitative data analysis with hypothesis testing using SPSS 21, the following results were obtained: test results using SPSS version 21, the t test obtained a value of 3.652 with a decision making if the calculated T value > T table then Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected, with The T table value for 28 respondents is 2.059, meaning 3.652 > 2.059, so Ha in this study is accepted and H0 is rejected. It can be concluded that there is an influence of the use of the Assignment Method on Mathematics Learning Outcomes in Complex Number Operations for Class.

Abstract

This curriculum is one of the learning programs to improve the quality of learning that has been inaugurated by the Minister of Education and Culture which has been established in the world of education. The purpose of this study is (1) to explain the conditions of students if the independent curriculum is implemented in each school (2) To find out whether the principal and teachers are ready to implement the independent curriculum in schools or not (3) To find out the factors that become obstacles. in the implementation of this independent curriculum. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach by taking objects from three schools, namely Ibele State Middle School, Wamena 4 State Middle School, and Isakusa State Middle School. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. The respondents in this study were the principals. The results of the study showed that the new independent curriculum was implemented this year (2024), odd semester in class VII. Where the readiness of the teachers is ready and some are not ready because there are some teachers who did not attend the training. So that the principal for the next few months held a socialization about the independent curriculum to teachers who did not attend the training, even from SMP Negeri 4 Wamena the principal provided Kombel (Learning Community). Likewise in the teaching and learning process that has been known about the condition of students where in their own personalities some do not know how to read and write, so the efforts made by the teacher are to separate students who are still lacking in reading and writing, to be guided and trained and taught how to read and write while the problem is the infrastructure, and one of them is electricity that has not entered the SMP Negeri Ibele area, so from several things this is the obstacle.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the numeracy skills of eighth-grade junior high school students in solving AKM problems with algebra content, identify the factors that influence them, and develop effective learning strategies to improve them. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The subjects of the study were eighth-grade students of Anugerah Gloria Terpadu Wamena Middle School in the 2024/2025 academic year. The main instrument in this study was the researcher herself, while the supporting instruments were test sheets and interview guidelines. This study used data collection techniques in the form of test techniques and interview techniques. The data analysis used three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the numeracy of eighth-grade students of Anugerah Gloria Terpadu Middle School is still categorized as low, due to the lack of explanation and reasoning of mathematical sentences in the problems. Therefore, improvements and development of mathematics learning are provided, such as the need to compile integrated learning materials between mathematical topics/concepts, everyday life, and other sciences to provide a relevant context for students. Because it coincides with curriculum adjustments to the development of the era. The curriculum in Indonesia will continue to change.

Abstract

Community Service activities of STKIP Abdi Wacana are carried out as a form of concern for educational conditions and at the same time as the implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education. The characteristics of children at the age of pre-school, elementary school to junior high school in the Papua Mountains tend to be more interested in concrete things so that they need a more tangible learning tool. Learning habits experienced at school by taking notes make children uninterested in learning so that after school, they will spend their free time just playing without learning at all. Creating a fun learning atmosphere by utilising a simple learning aid and the concept of jarimatika is one option in attracting children's interest and motivation to learn. This is what underlies the Community Service activities by lecturers and students of STKIP Abdi Wacana Wamena. The implementation of Community Service activities is located in the Honelama Coffee area. Based on the results of brief oral interviews with the children who participated in the activities, it turned out that they were very happy with the new learning experience and different from what they experienced at school. In addition, the response of the children's parents was very positive where they hoped that children in the Honelama Coffee-Coffee Area could be given guidance on a regular basis.

Abstract

Keterampilan berhitung adalah salah satu keterampilan dasar yang harus dikuasai oleh siswa dan merupakan komponen yang sangat penting dalam pembelajaran matematika. Untuk mengembangkan dan meningkatkan keterampilan berhitung ini, siswa dapat dilatih sejak kecil. Namun pada kenyataannnya di SMP Biji Sesawi ditemukan bahwa keterampilan berhitung siswa masih relatif rendah, diperkuat dari pernyataan guru matematika sekolah tersebut bahwa siswa mereka masih mengalami masalah pada penguasaan konsep hitung dasar matematika. Menurut beberapa siswa kelas VII, penyebabnya adalah cara penyampaian materi yang tidak menarik, dengan lebih banyak ceramah panjang lebar yang membuat siswa bosan dan hanya guru yang berpartisipasi secara aktif. Untuk menyelesaikan masalah ini, maka dibutuhkan pendekatan pembelajaran baru yaitu dengan menggunakan metode jari tangan yang juga dikenal sebagai jarimatika. Dalam kegiatan ini, peserta menerima materi teoritis dan teknis tentang jarimatika, serta instruksi tentang cara melakukan operasi penjumlahan dan pengurangan yang cepat dan benar dengan menggunakan jari tangan. Kegiatan prakteknya meliputi latihan dan praktik dasar pengenalan jarimatika serta praktek penggunaan jarimatika untuk operasi hitung penjumlahan dan pengurangan. Kegiatan PkM yang dilaksanakan diikuti oleh 22 orang siswa kelas VII B. Pada pertemuan pertama dan terakhir, siswa diberi soal pre-test dan post-test untuk menguji pemahaman mereka tentang penggunaan metode jarimatika tentang operasi penjumlahan dan pengurangan. Berdasarkan hasil pre-test dan post-test, nilai rata-rata siswa lebih tinggi saat belajar menggunakan metode jarimatika dan berdasarkan angket yang disebarkan menunjukkan bahwa siswa dan guru memberikan respon positif terhadap penggunaan jarimatika pada pembelajaran Matematika.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendalami tantangan dan peluang dalam merekonstruksi Kurikulum Merdeka di Papua serta menganalisis faktor-faktor sosial, budaya, dan kontekstual yang memengaruhi implementasinya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan multibahasa dan berbasis budaya sangat relevan untuk Papua, sementara partisipasi masyarakat dan peran tokoh adat menjadi kunci dalam menguatkan implementasi kurikulum. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang kompleksitas pendidikan di Papua dan menawarkan rekomendasi untuk meningkatkan keberhasilan implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka di wilayah tersebut. dalam merumuskan kurikulum yang relevan dan responsif terhadap keberagaman budaya dan geografis Papua. Dalam konteks ini, konsep-konsep seperti kearifan lokal, pembelajaran berbasis budaya, dan partisipasi masyarakat menjadi landasan utama dalam merekonstruksi Kurikulum Merdeka di Papua. Artikel ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi pada diskusi tentang implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka yang inklusif dan berkelanjutan di seluruh Indonesia.

Abstract

This research is descriptive qualitative research with a case study method. The aim of this research is to analyze and describe the types of student errors in solving story problems on systems of linear equations in two variables based on the Newman procedure in terms of gender, to analyze and describe the factors that cause students' errors in solving story problems on systems of linear equations. two variables based on the newman procedure in terms of gender. The subjects in this research were 4 (four) students consisting of 2 (two) male students and 2 (two) female students selected from class VIIIE of SMP N 1 Wamena. The technique for selecting research subjects used was purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out using written tests and interviews. Testing the validity of the data using time triangulation and data analysis was carried out by data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The research results showed that there were types of errors, namely reading errors, understanding errors, transformation errors, processing skills errors, and final writing errors in all male and female subjects. Errors in writing the final answer were errors made by all research subjects. Factors that cause errors in terms of gender include not understanding the concept of place value, being in a hurry when reading, the subject not understanding the meaning of the question because the question being asked is difficult, not being careful in answering and being in a hurry when doing it, not understanding how to make mathematical models and changing the information obtained into mathematical models, being in a hurry to solve the problem, not being careful in calculations, and because the previous solution process was hasty, forgetting, not understanding the problem, and being careless.
