Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the Accountability of public services in the Department of Youth Sports, Culture and Tourism of Majene Regency. The type of research used in this research is explanatory research. This research uses data collection techniques in the form of secondary literature studies with qualitative analysis techniques. The end result of this research is a description of the causal context or cause-effect relationship. The results of this research indicate that public service accountability is not yet optimal and needs to be improved in terms of visitor interview results and direct inspection of tourism sector facilities. The author found that tourist facilities such as places of worship, toilets and In addition, the consistency of levies set on each tourist attraction is not optimal, which differs from visitors, and there are still many waste scattered around tourist attractions, disrupting the comfort of visitors.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di Desa Kalumammang, Kabupaten Polewali Mandar, bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi demokrasi di kalangan masyarakat pedesaan yang minim akses terhadap informasi politik dan pendidikan demokrasi. Program ini dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan edukatif dan partisipatif, yang mencakup observasi, pemaparan materi, diskusi interaktif, serta refleksi masyarakat. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman masyarakat terhadap demokrasi masih terbatas pada aspek formal seperti pemilu, tanpa menginternalisasi nilai-nilai substantif seperti partisipasi, akuntabilitas, dan kesetaraan. Tingginya partisipasi masyarakat dalam kegiatan ini menggambarkan antusiasme dan kebutuhan akan pemahaman demokrasi yang lebih mendalam. Namun, terdapat tantangan, seperti rendahnya keterlibatan perempuan dan pemuda dalam proses pengambilan keputusan, serta dominasi politik transaksional. Pengabdian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam membentuk budaya demokrasi yang kritis dan berkelanjutan di tingkat lokal, dengan potensi untuk diperluas ke desa lain dan mendukung penguatan demokrasi berbasis nilai lokal.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertolak dari pemahaman tentang bagaimana konsep modal sosial dapat diaplikasikan dalam upaya dan peran untuk percepatan peningkatan pemberdayaan masyarakat. Pemberdayaan masyarakat merupakan salah satu pendekatan dalam pembangunan yang menggunakan aspek sosial untuk meningkatkan aspek ekonomi masyarakat. Aspek sosial yang umum digunakan dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat adalah modal sosial. Di dalam modal sosial terdapat elemen-elemen berupa nilai dan norma, kepercayaan, serta jaringan sosial yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan pemberdayaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur, artikel ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan modal sosial sebagai konsep teoritis. Pemaparan studi menunjukkan adanya peran modal sosial dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat. Artikel ini menyimpulkan bahwa konsep modal sosial berperan dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat. Peran modal sosial dalam masyarakat dapat dilihat pada persoalan persoalan pembangunan ekonomi yang sifatnya lokal dan peran dalam kegiatan yang berbasis komunitas.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the pentahelix model in the development of the tourism sector in Majene regency. The type of research used in this research is explanatory research. This research uses data collection techniques in the form of secondary literature studies with qualitative analysis techniques. The end result of this research is a description of the causal context or cause-and-effect relationships. The results of this research show this. The tourism sector in Majene Regency requires the participation of five stakeholders, including: government, private sector, academia, community and media, each of which has a role that, if collaborated well, will produce world-class tourism destinations. However, these five actors need space and regulations formulated in a patented way so that a series of activities can be created as a sustainable program in the context of the development of the tourism sector in Majene Regency
