Abstract

The design of a solar powered dehydrator based on the Internet of Things (IoT) is an alternative solution for the drying process of natural products. This technology aims to optimize drying through measured temperature and humidity control, which is important in maintaining the quality of the dried material. IoT integration enables real-time monitoring and automatic adjustment of drying parameters, ensuring the process remains consistent and eficient. This system can be an innovative solution for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the agricultural and herbal sectors, overcoming common challenges in traditional drying methods, such as dependence on weather conditions and uneven drying results. Through trials and testing, this solar dehydrator demonstrated increased ef iciency.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui magang mahasiswa Teknik Informatika di PT Valdo Sumber Daya Mandiri dengan tujuan mengoptimalkan proses rekrutmen dan pengelolaan data karyawan. Permasalahan utama adalah desain flyer lowongan yang kurang menarik dan sistem pencatatan data yang belum terintegrasi. Mahasiswa merancang flyer menggunakan Canva dan membantu pengelolaan data karyawan dengan aplikasi Akumaju. Metode yang digunakan meliputi observasi, perancangan, dan implementasi langsung. Hasilnya, flyer menjadi lebih menarik dan penyajian data karyawan lebih terstruktur.

Abstract

Saat ini, masyarakat sangat tergantung pada teknologi, terutama internet, yang terus berkembang dari waktu ke waktu dan menjadi akses yang luas bagi semua orang. Internet memungkinkan kita untuk terhubung dengan berbagai perangkat, seperti kantor yang terhubung melalui alamat IP dalam jaringan. Dalam mengatur rute jaringan, ada dua pendekatan: secara statis dan dinamis dengan Teknik Protokol Informasi Routing (RIP). Penelitian ini berfokus pada penggunaan routing dinamis dengan RIP dalam topologi bus untuk pertukaran data. Kinerja routing dinamis dengan RIP diuji melalui metrik seperti throughput, delay, dan packet loss untuk mengevaluasi efektivitasnya. Protokol FTP digunakan untuk menguji transfer file, sementara ICMP digunakan untuk mengukur latensi melalui ping. Pengujian FTP dapat dilakukan melalui perintah di command prompt. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa delay dari routing dinamis adalah baik, dengan nilai di bawah 150 ms, dan packet loss lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan pendekatan lain.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi saat ini berkembang sangat pesat memasuki era digitalisasi yaitu informasi yang telah berubah dari manajemen konvensional ke teknologi komputer. Di tengah tuntutan akan aksesibilitas informasi dan perkembangan teknologi, tim pengembang di Kementerian Ketenagakerjaan dihadapkan pada berbagai tantangan. Tantangan tersebut termasuk memastikan konten yang disajikan sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna, menjaga keamanan dan privasi data, serta menghadapi perubahan cepat dalam teknologi dan tuntutan pengguna. Penelitian ini dilakukandengan menggunakan implementasi metode Agile dalam pengembangan dan pemeliharaan web serta majalah elektronik sebagai solusi yang responsif terhadap tantangan yang dihadapi. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan yang berharga bagi pengembang web dan pemangku kepentingan lainnya dalam upaya meningkatkan literasi digital dan efektivitas komunikasi pemerintahan di era digital ini. Dengan demikian, web majalah informasi Kementerian Ketenagakerjaan Republik Indonesia menjadi salah satu instrumen yang efektif dalam mencapai tujuan tersebut dan menjembatani informasi mengenai ketenagakerjaan antara pemerintah dan masyarakat.

Abstract

Fires are one of the most devastating disasters, often resulting in major losses—both materially and in terms of human lives. To help reduce these risks, a fast and accurate fire detection system is essential. This study presents the development of a fire detection system based on the Internet of Things (IoT), which integrates Discord Webhook notifications and an alarm system, powered by Fuzzy Logic. The system uses flame, smoke, and gas sensors to detect potential fire hazards in an area. Sensor data is processed using Fuzzy Logic to assess the level of fire risk more accurately, and the Center of Gravity (COG) method is used for defuzzification. When a dangerous condition is detected, the system automatically triggers an alarm, a flashing light, and a blower as preventive actions. Thanks to the IoT integration, real-time alerts can be sent via Discord Webhook, keeping users informed instantly. This approach addresses the lack of systems capable of delivering immediate fire warnings. The results of this research show that the system can effectively provide early fire detection with high accuracy and rapid notifications. When both the flame and gas sensors detect danger, a warning is sent to the user through Discord, and users can also review past events through the system’s web server history. Overall, this system offers a practical and innovative solution to improving safety and disaster response.

Abstract

The advancement of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has driven the development of automation systems that enhance comfort and efficiency across various sectors, including hospitality management. This study aims to design and implement a smart homestay system capable of automatically and manually controlling electrical devices using ESP32 and Arduino Uno microcontrollers. The system is equipped with several sensors, such as BH1750 for light intensity detection, MQ2 for smoke and alcohol detection, as well as physical buttons and smart switches for room services including laundry, cleaning, and Do Not Disturb (DND). An Android application, developed using MIT App Inventor, serves as the user interface and communicates with the ESP32 via a local Wi-Fi network using a Web Server method. Experimental results show that the system effectively responds to both sensor input and user commands, displaying real-time data in the app. The automatic light control feature based on lighting levels, gas detection notifications, and room service buttons functioned as designed. The system also supports two-way control between physical buttons and the mobile application. Quantitatively, response times for LED control averaged less than 1 second, sensor readings were updated every 3 seconds, and service command success rates reached 100% in all test scenarios. Therefore, the smart homestay system offers a simple yet effective solution to improve service and comfort in small-scale accommodations.

Abstract

Visually impaired individuals face significant challenges in mobility and safety during daily activities, especially in public spaces that are not disability-friendly. Conventional white canes are limited in their ability to detect obstacles. This study aims to design and implement a smart cane based on the Internet of Things (IoT) and the real-time object detection algorithm YOLO V3 to enhance the mobility and safety of visually impaired users. The developed system utilizes ultrasonic sensors to detect obstacles on the left and right sides of the user, a GPS module for real-time location tracking via a web server, and an ESP32-CAM integrated with YOLO V3 to detect objects such as vehicles, holes, and people. Information is conveyed to the user through voice alerts using a DFPlayer Mini and is also displayed on an LCD and a web interface. Test results show that the system operates accurately, with an average sensor error rate of only 0.12%, and all components function properly. Usability testing involving 50 respondents indicates a very high level of user satisfaction, with average agreement rates exceeding 85%. This research demonstrates that the integration of IoT and computer vision can produce a smart, responsive, and user-friendly assistive device for the visually impaired.

Abstract

A security system is a crucial component in creating a safe and conducive school environment. This research aims to design and build a prototype of an automatic door security system at SMPN 1 Warungkiara. The system integrates a reed switch sensor to detect the door's status, along with RFID and fingerprint technology as access authentication media. Security notifications are sent in real-time via the Discord platform using a NodeMCU ESP8266 microcontroller connected to a Wi-Fi network, especially for suspicious activities outside operational hours. The research method employed is qualitative with a case study approach, while the system development applies the prototyping model. The development stages include requirements communication, quick design, prototype construction, and user evaluation. The test results indicate that the system prototype functions well and effectively. The sensor accurately detects the door's status, the authentication process using RFID and fingerprint operates as designed, and notifications to Discord are sent instantly. The implementation of this system is expected to enhance digital security monitoring, minimize risks, and support the creation of a safer and more comfortable teaching and learning process within the school environment.

Abstract

Stunting is a chronic health issue caused by prolonged nutritional deficiencies, influenced by various risk factors such as economic conditions, sanitation, education, and diet. Margaluyu Village reported a stunting rate of 24.5% in 2023. This study proposes a web-based system that utilizes the Decision Tree algorithm to classify stunting risk among toddlers using attributes like age, weight, height, maternal nutrition status, and environmental sanitation. The model achieved 91.2% accuracy and was implemented using the Laravel framework. The resulting system enables faster and more accurate identification of at-risk toddlers by health workers.

Abstract

Produksi beras merupakan salah satu indikator penting dalam ketahanan pangan suatu daerah. Jawa Barat sebagai salah satu provinsi penghasil beras utama di Indonesia memiliki peran strategis dalam menjaga ketersediaan pangan nasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memprediksi produksi beras di Jawa Barat dengan menggunakan model regresi linear. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa data sekunder dari Badan Pusat Statistik mengenai luas panen dan produksi beras selama beberapa tahun terakhir. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara luas panen dengan jumlah produksi beras. Model regresi linear yang dibangun dapat digunakan untuk memprediksi produksi beras di masa mendatang dengan tingkat akurasi yang cukup baik. Hasil evaluasi akurasi model menunjukkan bahwa beberapa wilayah memiliki tingkat akurasi yang tinggi dengan nilai R² di atas 0.7 seperti Pangandaran (R² = 0.8809), Tasikmalaya (R² = 0.8340), kota depok (R2 = 0,8056), kota Bekasi (R2 = 0,7968), kota Cirebon (R2 = 0,7478) .Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan informasi yang berguna bagi perencanaan pertanian dan pengambilan kebijakan pemerintah di sektor pangan.
