Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of leadership style on the work motivation of employees at the Community and Village Empowerment Office of Polewali Mandar Regency. The variables in this research consist of the independent variable, namely leadership style, and the dependent variable, namely work motivation. The research method uses a quantitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observations, interviews and questionnaires which were distributed to 47 respondents. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression analysis with SPSS version 26 software to prove the hypothesis. The results of this research indicate that the application of a democratic leadership style has a significant effect on employee work motivation. Employees who feel involved in the decision-making process, receive clear communication, and feel attention to their needs tend to show higher levels of motivation in carrying out their duties and responsibilities.

Abstract

Effectiveness of using Quizizz media in collaborative learning and instilling it in learning styles and improving learning outcomes of class X-3 students of SMA Negeri 4 Makassar. The methods used are lectures, questions and answers or discussions, and training. The results obtained from using Quizizz media are able to improve students' understanding of economic material, encourage active involvement in discussion groups, and increase students' motivation and enthusiasm for learning. Quizizz has also been proven to be able to accommodate various learning styles and create an interactive and enjoyable learning atmosphere. Although there are obstacles such as technical problems and student adaptation to technology, in general the use of this media makes a positive contribution to the process and learning outcomes of students).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and compare the financial performance of PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk. (BTN) and PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk. (Danamon) during the 2020–2024 period using the CAMEL method, which evaluates five key aspects of bank soundness: Capital (CAR), Asset Quality (KAP), Management (NPM), Earning (ROA and BOPO), and Liquidity (LDR). The research adopts a quantitative descriptive comparative approach, with BTN and Danamon as the research population. Secondary data were obtained from the annual financial reports of both banks published on the official Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) website for the 2020–2024 period. Data analysis involved calculating CAMEL ratios based on the Bank Indonesia assessment guidelines, along with hypothesis testing using the Independent Sample T-test and the non-parametric Mann-Whitney test through SPSS version 25 to determine whether significant statistical differences existed between the two banks. The findings reveal that the financial performance of BTN and Danamon consistently fell within the “Fairly Healthy” category throughout the observed period. Specifically, BTN demonstrated stronger performance in terms of capital adequacy (CAR), while Danamon showed better results in asset quality (KAP) and profitability (ROA). However, the overall results of the Mann-Whitney test yielded a significance value of 0.465, which is greater than the alpha level of 0.05. This indicates that there is no statistically significant difference between the overall financial performance of BTN and Danamon as measured by the CAMEL method. These results suggest that although the two banks exhibit strengths in different aspects, their overall financial health remains relatively comparable.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of Celebrity Endorser and Brand Image on Purchase Decisions for Scarlett Whitening Products among Students at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Makassar State University. The sample used was 100 students from the Faculty of Economics and Business who had been selected based on predetermined criteria. Data collection techniques were carried out using questionnaires and literature studies. Data analysis techniques consist of validity tests, reliability tests, classic assumption tests consisting of normality tests, multicollinearity tests and heteroscedasticity tests, multiple linear analysis tests, hypothesis tests, determinant coefficient tests. The results of this research show that the Celebrity Endorser and Brand Image variables have a positive and significant influence on purchasing decisions. The variable that most dominantly influences purchasing decisions is the Celebrity Endorser variable and the one that has the least influence is the Brand Image variable. The dependent variable for purchasing decisions can be explained by the Celebrity Endorser variable and the remaining Brand Image is explained by other variables that were not examined in this research.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the forms, meanings, and processes of innovation undertaken by traditional Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in facing the challenges of the digital era, with a particular emphasis on the role of local wisdom as a foundation for innovation. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, this research explores the subjective experiences of MSMEs integrating cultural values with technological transformation. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis, which were then analyzed using thematic methods. The results show that innovation in traditional MSMEs is not solely focused on technological aspects, but rather is the result of negotiations between cultural values, social adaptation, and modern market demands. Local wisdom has proven to be a source of values and ethics in product development, marketing strategies, and the digital transformation process. The innovation process occurs contextually and gradually, and is heavily influenced by community support and strong local social networks. This study confirms that culture-based innovation strategies provide a more sustainable and inclusive direction for MSMEs navigating the digital era. Therefore, digital transformation should not be separated from the social and cultural context in which MSMEs are rooted. This approach opens up space for a new understanding of more holistic innovation, which is not only technology-oriented, but also strengthens local identity and social cohesion within the MSME ecosystem.
