Abstract

Kegiatan Tech Hack Series II dengan tema Canva Flex: Jagonya Design Kece Tanpa Ribet merupakan inisiatif Himpunan Mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika untuk meningkatkan literasi desain digital mahasiswa, khususnya dalam pemanfaatan aplikasi Canva sebagai media bantu dalam proses pembelajaran. Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 22 Maret 2025 di ruang 1 FKIP Universitas Samawa. Kegiatan ini menghadirkan dua narasumber yang memberikan materi teori dan praktik langsung terkait pemanfaatan Canva untuk keperluan akademik dan pembelajaran. Metode pelatihan dilakukan melalui presentasi, demo langsung, serta sesi praktik mandiri dengan pendampingan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan minat dan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam membuat desain visual edukatif yang menarik dan komunikatif. Pelatihan ini menjadi salah satu upaya konkret dalam mendorong kompetensi literasi digital mahasiswa secara praktis dan aplikatif.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital telah mendorong transformasi dalam dunia pendidikan, termasuk dalam cara guru dan tenaga kependidikan menjalankan tugasnya. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan penggunaan Generative AI, khususnya melalui platform Qwen, dalam meningkatkan efisiensi kerja di lingkungan SMA Negeri 1 Moyo Utara. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan dan bimbingan teknis berbasis praktik langsung, yang melibatkan 27 peserta terdiri dari guru dan tenaga kependidikan. Data dikumpulkan melalui pretest, posttest, kuesioner, observasi, dan dokumentasi, lalu dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata pemahaman peserta sebesar 30,15 poin, serta peningkatan pemahaman tematik sebesar 35–45% pada aspek seperti konsep dasar AI, fungsi Qwen, aplikasi pembelajaran, dan etika teknologi. Peserta merasakan manfaat nyata berupa efisiensi waktu dalam menyusun dokumen administratif dan perangkat pembelajaran. Meskipun terdapat tantangan seperti keterbatasan infrastruktur dan literasi digital, kegiatan ini berhasil membangun kesadaran akan potensi AI sebagai mitra kerja profesional. Rekomendasi diarahkan pada penguatan kapasitas digital, pendampingan berkelanjutan, serta kebijakan sekolah yang mendukung pemanfaatan teknologi secara etis dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) face challenges in product marketing and visibility in the digital era. This community service project aimed to enhance the digital content creation skills of MSME owners in Labuan Jambu Village, Sumbawa Regency, using the Canva application. The method employed consisted of three stages: introduction to digital content and the Canva application, hands-on content creation practice, and one-month post-training mentorship. Results showed significant improvements in participants' understanding of digital content importance, ability to produce quality content, and implementation of digital strategies in their businesses. The majority of participants successfully created relevant content without direct assistance, leading to increased customer interactions on social media and product demand from outside the region. Challenges encountered included device limitations, unstable internet connections, and difficulties in maintaining consistent application. This activity contributes to the national agenda of MSME digitalization and can serve as a model for other regions. Recommendations include developing digital infrastructure, establishing a digital MSME community, integrating training into government programs, and diversifying training materials. In conclusion, this training effectively enhanced MSMEs' digital skills, supporting local economic growth and improving competitiveness in the digital era. Abstract

This study analyzes the six big losses affecting the effectiveness of injection molding machines to enhance production efficiency in the plastics industry. Utilizing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) as a key metric, the research measures availability, performance, and quality rates across ten injection molding machines to identify dominant loss factors. Through Pareto analysis and fishbone diagrams, the study pinpoints mold replacement, drool in the nozzle, and color replacement as primary contributors to reduced OEE. Data collected via interviews, observations, and company records reveal that idling, minor stops, and equipment failures account for significant time losses, with specific machines exhibiting OEE values as low as 56%. Recommendations include implementing preventive maintenance, standardizing machine parameters, improving production scheduling, and providing operator training to align with Total Productive Maintenance principles. These strategies aim to minimize downtime and optimize equipment utilization, offering practical solutions for improving productivity and competitiveness in manufacturing.

Abstract

Floods and droughts in Sumbawa Regency have intensified in frequency and impact over recent decades, driven by complex climatic interactions and anthropogenic activities. Accurate rainfall forecasting is critical for effective disaster risk reduction and water resource planning. This study develops a Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) model that integrates satellite-derived rainfall with global climate indicators (Sea Surface Temperature (SST) and Southern Oscillation Index (SOI)) to enhance monthly rainfall prediction. Compared to statistical baselines (SARIMAX: RMSE ≈ 92 mm) and machine learning baselines (Random Forest: RMSE ≈ 84 mm), the multivariate LSTM achieves superior performance with RMSE = 65.2 mm (R = 0.82), reducing forecast error by ~25%. The 12-month forecast for June 2025–May 2026 indicates an extended dry season (June–September) followed by intense rainfall peaking at 266 mm in February 2026, highlighting risks of hydrometeorological extremes. By pioneering the fusion of satellite data and LSTM in Indonesia, this research provides actionable insights for early warning systems and supports climate adaptation strategies in water management, agriculture, and disaster preparedness. The model offers a scalable framework for operational rainfall prediction in climate-vulnerable tropical regions.

Abstract

This community service initiative focuses on enhancing digital literacy among teachers at SDN Semongkat, Sumbawa Regency, in an effort to support the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in remote areas. The program was executed through a series of workshops and intensive mentoring sessions on the utilization of learning applications such as Canva, Google Classroom, Quizizz, and Kahoot. The implementation method comprised three main stages: preparation, execution (consisting of socialization, training, and mentoring), and evaluation. The outcomes of the service demonstrated a significant improvement in teachers' abilities to use and integrate digital applications into their teaching practices. The primary challenge of infrastructure limitations was addressed through adaptive learning strategies. This program successfully enhanced the quality of learning at SDN Semongkat and fostered a digital-based professional learning community among teachers. This community service initiative made a tangible contribution to bridging the digital divide in remote areas and effectively supporting the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi awal guru sekolah dasar dalam memanfaatkan Augmented Reality (AR) untuk pembelajaran. Program dilaksanakan melalui lokakarya satu hari di SDN Batu Bulan (29 Juli 2025) dengan peserta 15 guru. Desain yang digunakan ialah one-group pretest–posttest. Instrumen meliputi tes pengetahuan 20 butir, checklist keterampilan praktik 12 indikator, dan rubrik integrasi AR pada perangkat ajar (4 kriteria). Analisis data mencakup uji normalitas Shapiro–Wilk dan uji paired t (? = 0,05) disertai ukuran efek dan CI 95%. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan yang signifikan: rerata naik 19,07 poin (57,87 ? 76,93; t(14) = 18,42; p < 0,001; d = 4,76; CI 95% ?mean [16,85; 21,29]). Keterampilan praktik berada pada level kuat dengan ketercapaian rata-rata 85,0%; indikator operasional (instalasi, manajemen objek, publikasi) tinggi, sedangkan indikator diagnostik (penempatan marker/permukaan, troubleshooting, simpan–preview) relatif lebih menantang. Integrasi AR pada perangkat ajar berada pada kategori cukup (skor total 2,93 ± 0,50): “skenario kegiatan” dan “kelayakan teknis & manajemen kelas” baik, sementara “kesesuaian tujuan & materi” serta “asesmen & bukti belajar” perlu penguatan. Disimpulkan bahwa lokakarya singkat efektif sebagai pemantik peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dasar, dengan rekomendasi pendampingan pascapelatihan yang menajamkan tujuan terukur, asesmen autentik, serta latihan diagnostik teknis agar kualitas integrasi bergerak menuju kategori baik dan siap diimplementasikan di kelas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis risiko banjir di Kabupaten Sumbawa dengan memprediksi curah hujan bulanan menggunakan model SARIMAX (Seasonal AutoRegressive Integrated Moving Average with Exogenous Variables) dengan memasukkan indeks Southern Oscillation Index (SOI) sebagai variabel eksogen. SARIMAX dipilih karena kemampuannya dalam menangkap pola musiman dan tren curah hujan serta mempertimbangkan pengaruh fenomena iklim global seperti El Niño dan La Niña. Data curah hujan dan SOI yang digunakan mencakup periode November 2000 hingga Oktober 2024. Hasil evaluasi model menunjukkan tingkat akurasi yang cukup baik dengan Mean Absolute Error (MAE) sebesar 37,61 mm dan Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) sebesar 42,84 mm. Prediksi menunjukkan peningkatan curah hujan signifikan pada bulan Desember hingga Februari, yang menandakan periode risiko banjir tertinggi. Berdasarkan hasil prediksi ini, direkomendasikan beberapa langkah mitigasi, termasuk peningkatan infrastruktur penampungan air, pengelolaan waduk, penguatan sistem drainase, serta edukasi masyarakat untuk kesiapsiagaan banjir. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam pengembangan sistem mitigasi banjir yang lebih efektif di Kabupaten Sumbawa dan dapat diaplikasikan di wilayah lain dengan karakteristik serupa.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the fact that students demonstrated suboptimal learning motivation and weak critical thinking skills in understanding the abstract topic of temperature and heat. The objective of this research was to develop a physics E-LKPD based on the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model and to examine its validity, practicality, and effectiveness in learning activities. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach guided by the ADDIE framework, consisting of five main stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The participants included one physics teacher and 35 eleventh-grade students from MAN 1 Sumbawa. Data were collected through expert reviews, surveys from both the teacher and students, as well as pre- and post-tests to assess students’ motivation levels and critical thinking abilities. The findings revealed that the developed E-LKPD achieved a validity score of 90.4%, a practicality score of 88%, and an effectiveness level reflected by an average N-Gain value of 0.71, which falls into the high category. Furthermore, students’ learning motivation reached 82.44% (high category), and their critical thinking ability reached 79.3% (moderately high). Therefore, the E-LKPD, designed with a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach, is considered suitable as a physics learning medium, capable of enhancing both the quality of the learning process and students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

The low physics achievement at MAN 2 Sumbawa (85% of students below the mastery criterion in Heat–Temperature) highlights the need for pedagogical innovations aligned with 21st-century skills. This study aims to validate, assess the practicality, and test the effectiveness of a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) physics website developed via Canva. The ADDIE model was applied to 19 eleventh-grade students over three meetings. Validity, assessed by two subject and two media experts using a 4-point Likert rubric, yielded Aiken’s V of 0.81–0.93 with average feasibility of 82.5% (content) and 86.46% (media), classified as “very valid.” Practicality, measured through teacher and student questionnaires (scale 1–5), scored 81.88% (teachers) and 87.90% (students), indicating “very practical.” Effectiveness analysis using N-Gain and paired t-test (? = 0.05) showed learning motivation rising from 44% to 92% (N-Gain = 0.86; high) and critical thinking from 34% to 69% (N-Gain = 0.53; medium), both p < 0.001. These results confirm Canva–PBL integration as an affordable, replicable solution to enhance physics students’ motivation and critical thinking in resource-limited schools.
