Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the influence of Big Personality Five Personalities (Extraversion, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, Emotional Stability, and Openness to Experience) on MSME Performance for Traders in the Beringharjo Market with coaching as a mediating variable. The number of respondents in the study was taken by purposive random sampling with a sample of 98 traders at the market in Yogyakarta who were able to exist selling during the Covid-19 pandemic. The analytical method uses quantitative methods with SEM-PLS analysis tools in this study. The results of the analysis of this study are extraversion, openness to experience, and agreeableness have a significant positive effect on MSME performance. Neuroticism personality has a significant negative effect directly and indirectly with coaching as a mediator on the MSME performance of traders at Beringharjo Market.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the level of basic knowledge related to the competence of first aid volunteers, the effect of increasing first aid competence on volunteer self-awareness, and strategies for increasing self-awareness for disaster volunteers in Dayu Village, Gondangrejo District, Karanganyar Regency. This study employs a pre-experiment design with a one-group pretest and post-test method. The results of this study showed that basic knowledge related to first aid competence received a score of 80% for 24 volunteers, while the smallest percentage was for those who received a good score of 6.67% for 2 volunteers, and the rest were respondents who received a poor score of 13.33% for 4 volunteers. Other results, showed an increase in competence after the first aid training was carried out, the percentage of respondents with good scores reached 93.33%, for 28 respondents; and there was an increase in self-awareness after the first aid training was carried out, the percentage of respondents with good scores reached 86.66% for 26 respondents. Based on the results of the paired t-test, we obtained a p-value = 0.000 (p <  0.05), indicating that there was an effect of increasing first aid competence on the self-awareness of disaster volunteers in Dayu Village, Gondangrejo District, Karanganyar Regency. Furthermore, the strategies for increasing self-awareness can be carried out with training to increase competence that can influence controlling impulses, the ability to understand oneself, and the ability to be optimistic which can increase self-awareness. Abstract

Social and economic vulnerability describes the social and economic fragility of an area due to the influence of hazards, threats and disasters that have the potential to damage, disrupt. This study aims to analyze the social and economic vulnerability of the flood disaster in Sutojayan Village, Blitar Regency. Data on social vulnerability is seen from gender, age, rural/urban, education, disability, transportation, and number of households, and economic vulnerability is seen from unemployment and livelihoods. This study uses a mixture of qualitative and quantitative methods with data obtained through interviews of 5 subjects, a questionnaire of 335 people, and documentation using population data of 7048 people. Data analysis techniques to measure social and economic vulnerability using multiple linear regression and SoVI techniques with the help of CFA. The results showed that: (1) The level of social and economic vulnerability in the post-flood disaster was influenced by indicators: gender, age, education, disability, transportation, and livelihood, and (2) The level of social and economic vulnerability in the post-flood disaster was in the high and medium categories. The Sutojayan environment with a SoVi value of 0.229 has a higher level of vulnerability than the Gondang Legi and Purworejo environments, and (3) The dominant variables that affect the level of social and economic vulnerability in the flood disaster are disability, the number of motorized vehicles, and the number of non-motorized vehicles.

Abstract

Sumbung Village is located in Cepogo District, Boyolali Regency, precisely on the east side of the Merapi Slope and is located about 10 km from the center of the capital Boyolali Regency is a milk-producing dairy cattle center because the number of female cattle farmers in the Sumbung Village community is very large, the majority of livestock are cattle cattle FMD outbreak. Sumbung Village supports the economy of the local community, even the Boyolali Regency government itself. When the FMD outbreak spread in Sumbung Village, farmers suffered losses of up to 80%. The impact of FMD Outbreak in Sumbung Village is very heavy, but with the ability of local resources and local wisdom owned by the Sumbung Village Community, they can carry out FMD outbreak handling, especially in the treatment and recovery after FMD Outbreak. Through the research method to be used in this study using a qualitative approach with the PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal) method. Research Involving all actors of the Sumbung Village community who play an active role in handling FMD outbreaks at the community and government levels, it was found that the Community Development carried out by the people of Sumbung Village was very good in handling FMD outbreaks, especially the use of traditional medicinal plants around their homes. Local wisdom with the use of medicinal plants is a form of empowerment of the people of Sumbung Village in handling FMD outbreaks independently.The actions of the Sumbung Village Community in handling FMD Outbreak by planting medicine.This good learning can be used as a guide in handling emergency situations in the future.

Abstract

Indonesia is located on the meeting point of three continent pieces namely Indo-Australia, Eurasia, and Pacific. That is why Indonesia has high risk of earthquake either low or high level. Blitar Regency is one of the areas which has risk of tsunami namely Wonotirto District, Panggungrejo District, Wates District, and Bakung District.The goal of this research is to analyze the different understanding of villagers about Disaster Sturdy Village or Desa Tanguh Bencana (Destana) in Tambakrejo Village Wonotirto District Blitar Regency. The kind of approach in this study is qualitative research with pre-experimental by using pre test-post test. The data were taken by giving questionnaire, and then they were analyzed by Wilcoxon Match Pairs Test. The result of this study shows that there are 39 respondents (54,2%) who have less understanding about Disaster Sturdy Village or Desa Tanguh Bencana (Destana) before giving infromation about Disaster Sturdy Village. After being given information about Disaster Sturdy Village, it was got 44 respondents (61.1%) who have good understanding. The result of analysis shows the significant difference namely Z result -5.468 with (σ ≤ 0.05). It means there is different understanding of the people about Disaster Sturdy Village before and after being given information.
