Abstract

During the Covid-19 Pandemic, there was a notable increase in the proportion of children experiencing stunted in Indramayu District. The lack of existing research on the linear communication model in relation to stunting and the promotion of social capital during the Covid-19 pandemic is a notable requires attention. This study is to conduct a qualitative study to examine the communication models of stunting and social capital within the specific setting of the Covid-19 Pandemic in Indramayu. This is influenced by the linear communication model and the limited choices for engagement in improving and utilizing social capital. The communication strategy shows ineffective communication and coordination, both within the government and between officials and parents or caregivers of undernourished young children, as well as inadequate utilization of GESIT application data. Therefore, it is crucial to develop an intervention strategy that includes legal components, models and communication methods. A communication model needs to be developed to provide a two-way communication, encourage input from caregivers, convergence of stakeholders, and provide training in communication techniques for the staff involved. To sustain the foster parent program, it is essential to enable communication and ensure two-way access for all parties involved.

Abstract

The 2018 earthquake disaster in Palu City caused chaos in health services due to an unclear information system, lack of preparedness, and limited knowledge of disaster and health crisis management—including disaster information, resource data, manpower, funding, infrastructure, task division, communication flow, and alternative planning. This study aims to analyze the use of a health crisis management information system to support preparedness at the Palu City Health Office. A mixed-methods approach was used, combining quantitative and qualitative methods through questionnaires, interviews, and observations. The study involved 55 respondents and 3 informants within the Palu City Health Office’s work area. The results show that in terms of preparedness: knowledge and attitude fall into the “ready” category; emergency response plans and early warning systems are in the “unprepared” category; and resource mobilization is in the “almost ready” category. Furthermore, the health crisis information system—across pre-crisis, during-crisis, and post-crisis phases—has not been effectively used or integrated into disaster preparedness efforts.

Abstract

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of work experience on supervisor performance, with self-efficacy acting as a mediating variable, within the context of the Hajj and Umrah Guidance Group (KBIHU) Bina Umat Mulya Abadi in Yogyakarta. Grounded in the Resource-Based View (RBV) theory, which emphasizes human resources as strategic organizational assets, this research addresses the performance variability among pilgrimage supervisors—a phenomenon presumed to be shaped not only by accumulated experience but also by psychological factors such as self-efficacy. Employing a quantitative associative approach, data were collected through structured interviews and standardized questionnaires administered to KBIHU supervisors. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was used to test the proposed relationships. The results demonstrate that work experience significantly and positively affects supervisor performance, both directly and indirectly through self-efficacy. These findings underscore the importance of integrating experiential learning with psychological capacity-building in religious non-profit institutions. The study contributes to the theoretical enrichment of human resource management in faith-based service organizations and offers practical implications for the development of targeted training and mentorship programs aimed at enhancing supervisor competence and service quality.

Abstract

Abstract

This study examines the influence of workload and work-life balance on organizational performance, with motivation as a mediating variable, among employees of PT Bank Woori Saudara 1906 Tbk, Region III (Central Java and D.I. Yogyakarta). The research is motivated by fluctuating employee performance appraisals observed between 2020 and 2024, with a notable increase in employees rated “Poor” and persistently low ratings of “Very Good.” Drawing upon Self-Determination Theory and Work-Family Border Theory, this study highlights workload, work-life balance, and motivation as key factors shaping employee performance. A quantitative approach with a causal associative survey design was employed, using Likert-scale questionnaires distributed to all 124 employees as part of a census sample. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares (PLS) after conducting validity and reliability tests. The findings confirm that workload and work-life balance significantly affect organizational performance, both directly and indirectly through motivation. Properly managed workload and balanced personal-professional life contribute to higher focus, engagement, and productivity, while motivation acts as a critical psychological mechanism that enhances the positive effects of these factors.

Abstract

In response to the challenges of digital transformation in higher education, this study examines the influence of workload, work motivation, and creativity on lecturer performance in the Management Department of Universitas Pembangunan Nasional "Veteran" Yogyakarta. Amid increasing demands on academic staff to fulfill the Tri Dharma of Higher Education—teaching, research, and community service—understanding key performance drivers becomes crucial. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from all 55 lecturers via a census sampling method. Primary data sources included questionnaires, interviews, and observations, while secondary data were drawn from institutional records. The variables were operationalized using validated indicators and measured on a five-point Likert scale. Validity and reliability tests confirmed acceptable psychometric properties. Multiple linear regression analysis revealed that workload, motivation, and creativity each exert a significant positive effect on lecturer performance (p < 0.05). Notably, the task-related workload indicator received the lowest average score, indicating challenges in balancing academic responsibilities. These findings highlight the importance of institutional interventions such as proportional task distribution, administrative support, and time management training to improve faculty outcomes. The study underscores the necessity for strategic human capital development that supports innovation, engagement, and sustainable academic performance in the digital era.
