Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine the effect of the growth regulator substances auxin and gibberellin as chemical mutagens on flowering time and harvest time of jack bean. This research was carried out in the Greenhouse of the Faculty of Agriculture, Bachelorwiyata Tamansiswa University, Yogyakarta City. This research was carried out from August to December 2023. The research was carried out using the Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method. Consisting of 4 replications, each replication contained 3 treatments. So 12 experimental units were obtained, namely: P1 = IAA 2 ppm + GA 10 ppm, P2 = IAA 4 ppm + GA 10 ppm, P3 = IAA 6 ppm + GA 10 ppm. The collected data was analyzed using 5% ANOVA and further tested using 5% Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The influence of the growth regulators auxin and gibberellin as chemical mutagens showed varying results at concentrations of IAA 4 ppm and GA 10 ppm which affected the day of harvest. However, there was no difference in flowering age between all treatments.

Abstract

The research aims to determine shallot varieties (Thailand and Crok Kuning) and the effect of organic fertilizer on the growth and yield of shallots (Allium ascalonicum) in sandy fields. This research was conducted on the sandy land of Depok Beach, Parangtritis Village, Kretek District, Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region Province. This research was conducted for two months starting 02 October 2023-02 December 2023. This research was structured in a factorial Randomized Complete Group Series (RAKL). The first factor is the shallot varieties including the Thai and Yellow Crok varieties. The second factor for shallot varieties includes organic fertilizer sources consisting of goat manure, leaf compost and cow manure. The variables observed were plant growth variables including plant height, number of plants, number of leaves per cluster, fresh and dry weight of onion plants while yield variables included number of bulbs, bulb diameter, bulb weight per cluster and per ha. Analysis of observed variables uses variance at the 5% level, followed by using DMRT at the α = 5% level. There was no interaction between the treatment of providing various sources of organic fertilizer and shallot varieties on all research variables. The treatment of various types of organic fertilizer showed no significant difference to the growth and yield of shallot plants. The treatment of various types of organic fertilizer showed no significant difference to the growth and yield of shallot plants. The Thai variety of shallots provides higher growth and yield compared to the Crok Kuning variety of shallots.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of organic fertilizer on green spinach (amaranthus hybridus) plants, to determine the effect of variations in water supply on green spinach (amaranthus hybridus) plants, to determine the effect of the interaction of organic fertilizer and variations in water supply on the growth and yield of green spinach plants. The location of this research was carried out at the Gemah Ripah Farmer Group, Bausasran, Danurejan District, Yogyakarta City, Special Region of Yogyakarta. With an average rainfall of 2,012 mm/year with 119 rainy days, an average temperature of 27.2°C and an average humidity of 24.7%, and an average altitude of 114 m above sea level. The research was conducted using a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 2 factors. The first factor is the type of fertilizer (A) with 3 levels. The second factor is the provision of water (B) with 3 levels. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance at the 5% level followed by using Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at the 5% level. The variables observed included Plant Height, Number of Leaves, Stem Diameter, Leaf Length, Chlorophyll Content, Fresh Weight, and Dry Weight. The results showed no interaction between the type of organic fertilizer and water provision on Plant Height, Number of Leaves, Stem Diameter, Leaf Length, Chlorophyll Content, Fresh Weight, and Dry Weight.

Abstract

Genetic variation and heritability of resistance to Empoasca spp. was studied in ten clones PGL series and TRI 2025. The research conducted in tea research station in Pagilaran, Batang, Central Java and in the laboratory of Food Chemistry and Nutrition Faculty of Agricultural Technology, LPPT UGM and Genetic Laboratory Faculty of Agricultural, Gadjah Mada University. This research used randomly complete block design of ten clones PGL and TRI 2025 with four blocks as replications. The damage intensity and morphological anatomy data each clone PGL series and TRI 2025 were observed. Analysis of biochemical (tannins content and peroxidase enzyme acitivity) using the spectrophotometric method. Data were analyzed using ANOVA and heritability. The result shows that has high estimated heritability value in damage intensity, hair leaf density, enzym peroxide activity, tannin content, stomata density, and epidermis thickness (abaxial and adaxial). Cluster analysis based on morphological anatomy divide into four group and resistant clone against Empoasca spp. consisted of four category, based on principal component analysis.

Abstract

The aim of the research was to determine the interaction between the dose of cow manure and soil origin on the growth of pagoda mustard greens. This research was carried out on the grounds of the Asmadewa Green House, Faculty of Agriculture, Bachelorwiyata Tamansiswa University, Jalan Celeban, Tahunan, Umbulharjo District, Yogyakarta City. The research was carried out from 25 December 2023 to 31 January 2024. This research used a 3x3 factorial experimental method using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), with 2 treatment factors, namely: concentration of cow manure and time of application of soil types. Data analysis using variance to determine the treatment of variables was then continued using Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, leaf width, leaf length, dry weight and wet weight of pagoda mustard plants. The results of the research revealed that the treatment of giving doses of cow manure and soil type showed no interaction with the growth variables of pagoda mustard plants. Treatment with soil type did not show any significant difference in the growth of pagoda mustard greens. The treatment with doses of cow manure showed no significant difference to the growth of pagoda mustard greens

Abstract

This study aims to determine the concentration of liquid smoke on the growth and yield of white and red radishes. Knowing the best type of soil by giving the concentration of liquid smoke for the growth and yield of red and white radishes. Knowing the type of radish that gives the best radish growth and yield. The research was carried out at the UPTD Bantul Agricultural Seed Center on Mindi Street, Ngentak Hamlet, Sumberagung Village, Kapanewon Jetis, Bantul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta starting in October 2022 - January 2023. This research was a factorial experiment consisting of 3 factors. The first factor is the type of soil, the concentration of liquid smoke, and the type of horseradish. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Mediterranean soil type treatment gave better results than the red-yellow podzolic soil. Treatment of liquid smoke concentration of 1% and 3% gave the same results. This type of white radish plant gives better growth and yield than the red radish type

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertjuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh cekaman terhadap 5 varietas padi dan mengetahui perbedaan respon 5 varietas tanaman padi akibat cekaman salinitas. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Green House Asmadewa Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tanaman. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Faktorial dengan varietas yang digunakan adalah varietas IR 64, Inpari 42, Inpari 33, Nutri zink, Ciherang. Penelitian ini menggunakan konsentrasi NaCl dengan perlakuan yang digunakan K0 : perlakuan kontrol, K1 : 2400 ppm, K2 : 4700 ppm, K3 7000 ppm. Variabel pengamatan pada penelitian ini meliputi : Tinggi tanaman, Jumlah anakan, Usia tumbuh malai, Jumlah malai per tanaman, panjang malai, dan Produksi gabah kering panen. Perlakuan varietas tidak berpengaruh terhadap penampilan tanaman. Perlakuan salinitas 0 ppm memberikan penampilan terbaik dibandingkan dengan konsentrasi lainnya. Perlakuan varietas tidak berpengaruh terhadap hasil padi. Perlakuan salinitas sampai dengan pemberian konsentrasi NaCl 8 Ms/cm memberikan hasil sama dengan kontrol.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of variety and soil type on chili growth. This research was conducted at the Self-Help Agricultural and Rural Training Center (PAS) "Lestari Makmur", Jalan Wates Km. 12 Semampir Hamlet, Argorejo Village, Sedayu District, Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta for approximately 60 days. With an altitude of 88 meters above sea level, the soil type is regosol, with a soil pH of 5.5-7, an average temperature of 26-32oC, and rainfall of 1,654 mm/year. The research was arranged in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), with 2 factorial replications. Factor I chili varieties. Factor II Soil type. Observation variables include plant height, stem diameter measurements, number of flower clusters, number of fruit harbingers, number of fruit per plant, weight of fruit per plant/ha. Analysis of the results using variance at a height of 5% to determine the differences between treatments tested with DMRT (Ducan's Multiple Rage Test). The results of the analysis of variance showed that there was an interaction between the variables measuring stem diameter, number of flower clusters and number of fruit
