Abstract

Problems experienced by students in learning will affect student learning outcomes. Each student has different learning difficulties. Therefore, the teacher should make efforts to overcome students' learning difficulties. Based on this, researchers conducted research to describe the efforts made by teachers to overcome learning difficulties experienced by students. This research is qualitative research with the type of phenomenological research. The data collected in this study came from interviews and observations. The study results show several stages the teacher carried out in overcoming learning difficulties. These stages are the identification stage, the diagnosis stage, the prognosis stage, and the stage of providing action or assistance. At the identification stage, the teacher makes direct observations to find out the problems faced by students. At the diagnosis stage, the teacher collects data to know the types of problems faced by students. The teacher's prognosis stage carries out planning to plan actions or forms of assistance that will be given to students. The stage of providing action or assistance is by carrying out the planned actions. In this study, the teacher provided assistance such as group study guidance, individual guidance, or various learning methods.

Abstract

This research is aimed at finding out the influence of Inquiry Learning Based Practice, to ward student’s study result in learning physic class X of SMAN 2 Gerung. The research was used experimental design. The population of the research was whole students class X which total number 123 students. Sample of the research was us random sampling technique and gotten class X1 and X3 as experimental and control group with sample 30 for experimental and 31 for control group. The data gathering was used objective test. Based on the results of the pre-test data analysis, the average value of the experimental class was 51.40 and that of the control class was 56.60. Post-testt results showed an average of 75.70 for the experimental class and 61.25 for the control class. The data analysis is used t-test formulation. Based on the data analysis is gotten that t-test is greater than t-table (6.49 greater than or equal to 2.019) with signification level 5%. It means that alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. Therefore, it taken conclusion that there is the influence of Inquiry Learning Based Practice, to ward student’s study result in learning physical class X of SMAN 2 Gerung.

Abstract

The unavailability of innovative teaching materials that contain a numeracy literacy component is the main obstacle for SD YPPK Hati Kudus teachers in the success of the GLS program. The teaching materials that have been used so far are teaching materials that already exist, are provided by the government and are left to be used, there has been no effort to prepare and compile them yourself, even though the teacher realizes that they are not in accordance with the characteristics, social and culture of students. YPPK Hati Kudus Elementary teachers also realize that innovative teaching materials are needed and require creativity in making them appropriate to Papuan social and culture so that students become interested, active and not bored in learning. The solution offered is assistance in making innovative teaching materials based on Papuan ethnomathematics as an effort to increase students' active learning and numeracy literacy competencies. PKM consists of preparation, introduction, technical assistance, implementation. The results of the dedication show an increase in teacher understanding and skills in making innovative teaching materials based on Papuan ethnomathematics

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kulitatif dengan penekanan pada etnografi. Tujuannya adalah untuk melakukan eksplorasi etnosains pada masyarakat suku Malind untuk penguatan pemahaman konsep IPA siswa Sekolah Dasar di Kabupaten Merauke. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kampung-kampung masyarakat suku Malind. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu survei deskriptif dengan alat pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, partisipasi, dokumentasi, dan literatur budaya masyarakat suku Malind. Pada penelitian ini peneliti memiliki peran sebagai human instrument (instrumen utama) yang mengamati dan mendalami secara langsung obyek yang diamati. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 7 topik sains asli yang dapat dikaitkan dengan konsep pembelajaran IPA di SD. Berdasarkan hasil eksplorasi ini membuktikan budaya sains asli suku Malind dapat diintegrasikan dengan pembelajaran IPA di Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini dapat dijadikan rekomendasi bagi Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Kabupaten Merauke untuk mengembangkan kurikulum pembelajaran IPA berbasis budaya dan kearifan lokal.Exploration of Ethno-Science among the Malind Community for the Enhancement of Elementary School Students' Understanding of Science ConceptsAbstractThis research is skin research with an emphasis on ethnography. The aim was to explore ethnoscience in the Malind community to strengthen elementary school students' understanding of science concepts in the Merauke Regency. This research was conducted in the villages of the Malind tribe. The research method used was a descriptive survey with data collection tools through interviews, observation, participation, documentation, and cultural literature of the Malind tribe. In this research, the researcher is a human instrument (primary instrument) who observes and explores directly the objects observed. The results showed that seven indigenous science topics can be related to the concept of science learning in elementary school. The results of this exploration prove that the indigenous science culture of the Malind tribe can be integrated with science learning in elementary schools. This research can be used as a recommendation for the Merauke Regency Education and Culture Office to develop a science learning curriculum based on local culture and wisdom.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji efektivitas metode active learning tipe team game tournament dalam meningkatkan minat dan prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA di tingkat SMP. Desain kuasi-eksperimen digunakan dengan melibatkan 60 siswa kelas VIII dari dua kelas yang berbeda, masing-masing terdiri dari 30 siswa. Kelompok eksperimen diajar menggunakan metode team game tournament selama dua pertemuan, sementara kelompok kontrol menerima pembelajaran STAD. Minat belajar siswa yang ditinjau berdasarkan aktivitas dan antusiame belajar siswa, menunjukkan peningkatan skor minat sebesar 25% pada kelompok eksperimen, dibandingkan dengan peningkatan 5% pada kelompok kontrol. Prestasi akademik diukur menggunakan lima butir soal berbentuk essay, dengan rata-rata nilai post-test kelompok eksperimen sebesar 74,3, jauh lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan rata-rata 49,7 pada kelompok kontrol. Analisis statistik menggunakan uji-t mengkonfirmasi perbedaan signifikan dalam minat dan prestasi belajar siswa (p < 0,05). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa metode team game tournament secara efektif meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dan prestasi akademik, menjadikannya strategi pedagogis yang menjanjikan untuk pendidikan IPA. Penelitian lanjutan direkomendasikan untuk mengeksplorasi penerapan metode ini pada mata pelajaran dan tingkat pendidikan lainnya guna memaksimalkan manfaatnya. The Effectiveness of the Team Game Tournament Active Learning Method on Students' Interest and Academic Achievement Abstract This study examines the effectiveness of the Team Game Tournament (TGT) active learning method in enhancing students' interest and academic achievement in science subjects at the junior high school level. A quasi-experimental design was used, involving 60 eighth-grade students from two different classes, each consisting of 30 students. The experimental group was taught using the TGT method for two sessions, while the control group received STAD-based instruction. Student interest, evaluated based on learning activities and enthusiasm, showed a 25% increase in interest scores for the experimental group, compared to a 5% increase in the control group. Academic achievement was measured using five essay questions, with the experimental group’s average post-test score being 74.3, significantly higher than the control group’s average of 49.7. Statistical analysis using a t-test confirmed a significant difference in both interest and academic achievement (p < 0.05). The findings of this study indicate that the TGT method effectively enhances student engagement and academic performance, making it a promising pedagogical strategy for science education. Further research is recommended to explore the application of this method across other subjects and educational levels to maximize its benefits.

Abstract

In the era of industrial revolution 4.0 which increasingly encourages the integration of technology in various aspects of life, primary school education has become the main focus in the application of artificial intelligence (AI) to improve the learning experience. In this context, artificial intelligence offers a potential solution to overcome challenges in the learning process at the elementary level. exploring and analyzing the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in learning in elementary schools, can make a significant contribution in preparing the young generation to face challenges in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. This research uses a literature study method. Qualitative analysis was carried out using a systematic literature review method on various sources of research publications. Data collection was carried out by searching and documenting the latest articles published since 2023 that are relevant to this topic. A total of 13 recent articles obtained from the Google Scholar database were analyzed. The research results show that by using AI, learning can be personalized according to students' individual needs and abilities. Through intelligent tutoring systems, adaptive learning platforms, and automated assessments, AI can help teachers provide more effective and engaging learning experiences for students. Apart from that, the use of AI can also increase student engagement, reduce teacher workload, and prepare students to face the demands of the digital era. This research concludes that with the right approach, AI can be an effective tool in supporting the learning process and preparing students to face challenges in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative study with an emphasis on ethnography. It aims to show why ethnoscience is so important in science learning in South Papua. This research was conducted in Malind villages, primary schools in Merauke Regency. The research method used was descriptive survey with data collection tools through observation, interviews, participation, documentation, and cultural literature of the Malind Tribe. In this research, the researcher acts as a human instrument (main instrument) who observes and explores directly the objects observed. The results showed: firstly, ethno-science in the indigenous culture of the Malind tribe can be found in cultural activities and daily life such as hunting, fishing, musical instruments, traditional ceremonies, food processing, determining tides, and eating betel nut. Secondly, the lack of teacher innovation in teaching science at school, science learning content has not contextually linked science learning with the cultural activities of the Malind tribe. The importance of ethnoscience in science learning is that the traditional science of the Malind tribe in Merauke can be integrated into science learning to instil the value of nationalism through strengthening local wisdom. By converting traditional science into scientific science, students can experience a contextualised and meaningful learning experience. Cultural elements become learning resources that are developed into tools and curriculum to improve students' science literacy, learning outcomes, and critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This article discusses the ‘Kampus Mengajar’ programme as an initiative to expand the accessibility of education and knowledge to the community. The main focus of the programme is to contribute positively to the community through the distribution of basic literacy knowledge from Musamus University students to targeted schools. This article will explore the concept, implementation and impact of the ‘Kampus Mengajar’ programme as a form of community service. The ‘Kampus Mengajar’ programme is an initiative of the Indonesian government that involves students as agents of change to assist the learning process in school. The article method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach in several primary schools in Merauke Regency. The results showed that the ‘Kampus Mengajar’ programme successfully improved students‘ learning motivation, teaching skills and introduced creative learning methods that are adaptive to local conditions. In addition, the programme also strengthened the relationship between universities and local communities and improved students' social awareness and professional skills. However, the study also identified some challenges such as programme sustainability and limited resources. Overall, the ‘Kampus Mengajar’ programme has a great potential in improving the quality of education in remote areas and can serve as a model for other community service programmes

Abstract

Tujuan dari pengabdian kemitraan masyarakat ini ialah sebagai upaya pengenalan pemanfaatan media pembelajaran berbasis pemrogramman (scratch 3) yang diintegrasikan dengan konteks etnografi Papua. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di SD Negeri Cenderawasih Spadem dengan melibatkan 27 Guru yang telah menyetujui untuk mengikuti seluruh rangkaian kegiatan hingga selesai. Tahapan dalam kegiatan ini meliputi mendesain media pembelajaran dengan bahasa pemrograman, pendampingan mendesain display and content media pembelajaran dengan scratch 3, pendampingan presentasi hasil karya guru berupa bahan media pembelajaran dengan scratch 3 dengan pendekatan etnografi Papua, pendampingan penerapan media pembelajaran berbasis berbasis etnografi Papua di kelas. Hasil survei persepsi guru dalam kegiatan pendampingan ini menunjukan, guru merespon positif pemanfaatan scratch 3 yang dilakukan dengan pendekatan etnografi Papua.

Abstract

The utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in primary education presents a significant opportunity to improve the quality of learning assessment. However, in border regions such as SD Negeri 2 Merauke, the implementation of such technology faces considerable challenges. This study aims to explore educators' perceptions of using AI in the development of assessment instruments and to identify the obstacles and opportunities for its application. The research subjects included six classroom teachers, one principal, and two administrative staff members selected through purposive sampling based on their active roles in the assessment process. A qualitative approach was employed, using data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. Data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, and validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings reveal that most educators lack a clear understanding of AI concepts and practices but demonstrate a willingness to adopt innovations if supported by context-specific training. Key barriers include limited infrastructure, low digital literacy, and inadequate technical support. These findings highlight the urgency of building teacher capacity through localized training programs and formulating inclusive digital transformation policies for schools in border areas.
