Abstract

The collapse of the Abbasid Dynasty has a major impact to the influence and presence in the Mu’tazilah school of thought at the time. Mu’tazilah subsequently faded away. Nevertheless, Mu’tazilah’s offer that gives a large portion of reason in understanding the context of revelation and time attracts a lot of contemporary Muslim intellectuals attention. One of them is Harun Nasution who preserves his theological ideology with the Neo-Mu’tazilah, as the successor of the earlier Mu’tazilah. Harun plays an important role in reviving the Mutazilah’s point of view in understanding the religious context, especially in Indonesia. Theological studies of Islam in Indonesia are no more than footnotes from the point of view that Harun and his disciples have disseminated. One conversation that is of great concern among Mu’tazilah and other ‘Ilm al-Kalâm schools of thought is the concept of monotheism, which leads to the discussion about the nature of God, justice, will, and deed of humankind. Harun is inseparable with his Neo-Mu’tazilah from this discussion. Harun does not contradict the classical Mu’tazilah opinion of the concept of Tawhid. The review and analysis of this article use literature review referring to the primary references; classical Mu’tazilah fgures, Neo-Mu’tazilah that Harun has been the voice of, as well as the authoritative literature outside Mu’tazilah as the material of analysis and comparison.

Abstract

The Integration of Islamic Education and Science Perspectives of M. Amin Abdullah and Imam Suprayogo is an article that discusses the integration between Islamic education and science which is becoming an increasingly important topic in the modern era. This article aims to provide a better understanding of the integration of the two fields, as well as strategies to achieve it. The method used in this research is the literature research method. Data were analysed through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research results of this article, M. Amin Abdullah and Imam Suprayogo discuss the basic concepts of science and Islam, challenges in integrating science and Islam, and strategies to achieve integration. They argue that science and technology have become an important part of modern human life, and therefore Islamic education should integrate science concepts into its curriculum. Conversely, science should also consider Islamic values in the development of technology and its applications. In addition, the integration of Islam and science pioneered by both is the scientific spider web at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta and the metaphor of the tree of science at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. The closeness of their ontological, epistemological, and axiological frameworks gave birth to the concept of "interconnection integration" at UIN Yogyakarta and "ulul albab" at UIN Malang.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the results of a survey of researchers at the Islamic boarding school Majlis Tafsir Al-Quran Mojogedang, which applies the Kuliiyatul mu'alliminal Islamiyah (KMI) system, which requires students to discipline in official languages combined with the philosophy of the "Compassion" approach in formal and non-formal teaching and learning processes. This study aims to describe the pattern of the "Compassion" approach in Arabic learning in this cottage. Descriptive qualitative research with field research methods is used to achieve this goal. The subjects in this study were lodge leaders, KMI directors, teachers' Language Section (LAC), santri Language Section (CLI). Data is collected through observations, interviews, and documentation after the data is obtained, analyzed, and conclusions are drawn. The conclusion drawn from this study is that the Compassion Approach in language learning has been the foundation since the beginning of the Language learning system, starting from Planning, Organizing, Actuating, controlling, and Evaluating, the formation of a mature language system is the love of the lodge towards the students represented by the entire Language Advisory Board. Language activities such as Ilqa al-Mufrodāt, Muḥādaśah, Muḥādarah, Language Court, and Language Extracurricular Activities have become a means of "affection" for students in MTA Islamic boarding schools where these activities there is a pattern of compassion education patterns that have been arranged in such a way as responsibility, example, and non-violence.

Abstract

Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) adalah jenjang pendidikan dasar di mana pada tingkat ini, pembelajaran harusnya mulai mengajarkan peserta didik untuk berfikir atif, kreatif, kritis, agar terlatih sejak dini untuk menerapkan hasil pembelajaran dalam kehidupan sehari-hari mereka. Terlebih pada pelajaran Akidah Akhlak, di mana arah pencapaian dari pembelajaran ini bukanlah sekedar memahami teori-teori dalam hal keimanan dan perilaku, tetapi sampai pada siswa dapat menerapkan perilaku baik sebagai kebiasaan yang mereka laksanakan sehari-hari. Para guru akidah akhlak di tingkat MI membutuhkan panduan bagaimana menerapkan sebuah strategi atau metode pembelajaran aktif agar tujuan pembelajaran dapat tercapai sukses. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghadirkan pembahasan tentang bagaimana prinsip dan urgensi penerapan strategi active learning dalam pembelajaran akidah akhlak pada siswa di tingkat MI. Metode penelitian adalah library-research, di mana data penelitian diambil dari sumber dari buku dan artikel ilmiah berasal dari internet yang relevan dengan pembahasan penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam pembelajaran akidah akhlak dengan strategi active learning bertujuan agar peserta didik lebih aktif, menarik dan menggembirakan untuk menarik minat belajar. Pembelajaran active learning dapat menggunakan prinsip dasar metode berbicara dan mendengar, membaca, menulis dan refleksi pada diri peserta didik. Strategi ini urgen untuk diterapkan karena dapat mengajak peserta didik menjadi pribadi yang kreatif dalam mengkontekstualkan materi yang diterima dengan keadaan sekitar. Dalam konteks pembelajaran akidah akhlak akan memberikan pengalaman kepada peserta didik agar siap menghadapi dan menjawab permasalahan-permasalahan yang muncul pada zaman yang terus berkembang dengan menjadi pribadi yang santun, beradab, bermoral dan memiliki keimanan dan ketqwaan kepada Allah SWT.

Abstract

The SD/MI student learning process differs from that of the senior high school student. To ensure the success of SD/MI students, it is necessary to carefully consider all available study areas; nevertheless, each area of study must be closely related to the others. This study aims to analyze student learning outcomes after applying the Make A Match method. The research methodology used in this study is a combination of qualitative research methods and the Tindakan Kelas (PTK) method of research. This PTK is conducted in two sessions, with each session lasting two days. The subject of this research is 29 students from MIN 3 Klaten's VI grade. The instruments that are used include documentation, observation, and wawancara. Evaluation using process and result tables. The results of this study can improve the learning outcomes for students in Grade VI, MIN 3

Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine the implementation of Aswaja practices at SD Islamiyah Magetan in enhancing students' religious attitudes and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors. This study employs a qualitative case study approach. The subjects of this research include the principal, teachers, and students of SD Islamiyah Magetan. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis techniques follow the Miles and Huberman model. The results indicate that Aswaja education at SD Islamiyah Magetan is systematically and comprehensively organized, and has a significant impact on enhancing students' religious attitudes. The curriculum is designed to ensure that students not only understand but also practice the taught amaliyah according to their grade level. The religious environment at the school is also fostered through daily routines and supportive extracurricular activities. The improvement in students' religious attitudes is evident from the increased memorization of verses and prayers, student participation in religious activities, and students' awareness of worship. Supporting factors for the implementation of Aswaja practices at SD Islamiyah Magetan include the teachers' deep understanding of Aswaja teachings, a conducive religious atmosphere, and collaboration between school and home. Inhibiting factors include the lack of facilities and infrastructure, and the lack of innovative teaching methods and media. This research is expected to contribute to the enhancement of religious education at SD Islamiyah Magetan and other schools with similar religious education programs, thereby shaping students with strong religious attitudes.

Abstract

Tujuan artikel ini adalah untuk mengkaji pendidikan karakter sebagai salah satu bentuk utama bullying di kalangan siswa sekolah menengah. Fokus penelitian ini adalah pada jenis-jenis perundungan, faktor-faktor yang berkontribusi terhadap perundungan, dan upaya yang dilakukan untuk mencegah perundungan melalui pendidikan berbasis karakter yang berlandaskan nilai-nilai agama, budaya, agama, dan hukum. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan. Sumber data berasal dari jurnal yang relevan dengan penelitian ini. Teknik ekstraksi data yang dilakukan adalah reduksi data, pembersihan data, dan penyaringan data. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) penggunaan penalaran relatif membuat partisipan penelitian merasa bahwa di setiap tahapan kehidupannya, selalu ada orang yang peduli dan membuat mereka berhati-hati dalam menghadapi suatu permasalahan; dan (2) melalui penggunaan keterampilan berpikir kritis, peserta dapat mengurangi kemungkinan terjadinya konflik intimidasi yang timbul akibat tindakan apa pun.

Abstract

The exegetical approaches that Muhammad Abduh and Fazlur Rahman used to study the Qur’ān are thisstudy’s main focus of discussion. The research is essential to enrich the literature of contemporary Islamicstudies by contesting the two scholars’ interpretation approaches. This article will answer whether or not thecontextualized interpretation model is still relevant today by comparing and contrasting Abduh andRahman’s respective interpretive approaches and providing examples of the verses mentioned. Hence, thisstudy is a qualitative-library research, whereas data processing relies on content analysis and comparativemethods. Nevertheless, reading Abduh and Rahman’s ideas within contemporary situations is still necessarybecause of its rational-contextual interpretation compatible with modern society and needs. This studysignificantly contributes to contemporary Islamic studies by offering new perspectives on the relevance andapplication of contextualized interpretive models in the modern era.

Abstract

This article discusses two sects that are often contrasted: Salafi and Sūfī. It focuses on the views of Ibn Taimiyyah al-Harrānī as a representative of Salafi and ‘Abd al-Karīm al-Qusyairī of Sūfī-sunnī on Sufism. By analyzing the works of Ibn Taimiyyah and al-Qusyairī on Sufism, this article explores Ibn Taimiyah’s critical notes on al-Qusyairi's views on Sufism. Ibn Taimiyyah wrote no less than thirty-eight treatises on Sufism and cited more than forty Sūfī texts in explaining and analyzing his views on Sufism. Al-Qusyairī, on the other hand, describes in detail the Sūfī figures and their views in his Risālah. He also included his Sufistic analyses in Laṭāif al-Ishārāt. Using an interpretative approach and content analysis, this article finds that Ibn Taimiyyah did not reject Sufism. He rejected the practice of Sufism that he thought was not intertwined with the Qur’ān and Sunnah. This is evident from his respect for al-Qusyairī, whom he called al-Syaikh al-Ustāż, and Mutaṣawwifah Ahl al-Kalām, a term of honor within the Ṣūfī order. Nonetheless, Ibn Taimiyyah notes that al-Qusyairī’s quotations in his work are not followed by references and explanations. In explaining the practice of zuhd, al-Qusyairī did not provide examples from the ṣahābah and tābi’īn to strengthen his argument.

Abstract

The "rapproachment" is a way of reading religious paradigms that lead to the intersubjectivity of religious studies. Kim Knott as a researcher who focuses on the field of religious studies in providing new offers in the methodology of religious studies. This arises because of the many obstacles faced by academics in various universities regarding religious studies, starting from stagnation in methodology and approaches. Kim Knott's offer is based on two approaches, namely outsider and insider, then she developed into four elements, on the outsider includes pure researchers and researchers as participants, while in insider includes pure participants and participants as researchers, then to sharpen the objectivity of the research he offers a circular approach between subjects and object towards inter-subjectivity called the 'rapprochement' approach as reflective links that complement each other and lead to the intersection between religions.
