Abstract

Hasil belajar merupakan cerminan dari pemahaman dan penerapan materi pelajaran oleh siswa. Rendahnya hasil belajar sering kali dipengaruhi oleh beragam faktor, di antaranya adalah penggunaan model pembelajaran yang kurang tepat dengan kondisi kelas yang ada. Kurangnya kesesuaian antara model pembelajaran yang diterapkan dan kebutuhan serta karakteristik siswa dan lingkungan pembelajaran dapat menghambat proses pemahaman konsep-konsep matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran Mix (Teams Games Tournament and Auditory Intellectually Repetition) terhadap hasil belajar matematika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian kuasi eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas VII SMP Pesantren Guppi Samata sebanyak 45 peserta didik yang tediri dari 2 kelas. Adapun sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas VII.A dengan siswa 24 orang dan VII.B dengan siswa 21 orang. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi dan tes, sedangkan teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistika deskriptif dan statistika inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Mix TGT-AIR efektif terhadap hasil belajar matematika peserta didik kelas VII SMP Pesantren Guppi Samata. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran Mix TGT-AIR dapat digunakan sebgai alternatif model pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik.

Abstract

Effective mathematics learning is essential to equip students with logical and analytical thinking skills, especially in the 21st-century era that demands problem-solving competency and adaptation to complex challenges. However, the low mathematics learning outcomes in various schools indicate the need for a more interactive and contextual learning model. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of implementing the Environmental Learning model on students' mathematics learning outcomes, especially at MA Darul Fallaah Unismuh Makassar. This study uses a pre-experimental design method with a one-group pre-test post-test design approach involving one class as a sample. The main instrument used is a mathematics learning outcome test. The results of the study showed that there was a significant difference between students' mathematics learning outcomes after implementing the Environmental Learning model and students before implementing the Environmental Learning model. Thus, this model is effective for improving students' mathematics learning outcomes. Follow-up research can be conducted by testing the effectiveness of the Environmental Learning model at various levels of education or other subjects to expand the generalization of the results and understand its impact in different contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to find out: (1) the description of students' mathematical reasoning ability on the material of the two-variable linear equation system, (2) the description of the mathematical reasoning ability of students on the material of the two-variable linear equation system, (3) the influence of mathematical disposition on the mathematical reasoning ability of students on the material of the two-variable linear equation system at SMP Negeri 49 Makassar. This study uses an ex post facto type of research with a quantitative approach. This research was carried out at SMP Negeri 49 Makassar with a population of 136 students in grade VIII which was divided into 5 classes, while the sample from this study amounted to 102 students who were selected using a simple random sampling technique. The instruments used in this study are questionnaires for mathematical dispositions and tests for mathematical reasoning skills. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive statistics and inferential statistics in the form of simple linear regression tests. The results of this study show that (1) the mathematical disposition of grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 49 Makassar is in the medium category. (2) the mathematical reasoning ability of grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 49 Makassar is in the medium category. (3) Based on the partial hypothesis test for the mathematical disposition variable, the value of t-calculation was obtained. (3,493) >,t-table. (1.98) so that it can be concluded that the mathematical disposition variable has a significant effect on the mathematical reasoning ability of students in the material of the two-variable linear equation system at SMP Negeri 49 Makassar.

Abstract

Problem-solving is a fundamental mathematical skill that serves as both the primary goal and the core of mathematics education. Problem-solving is often presented in the form of word problems, including those found in the topic of systems of linear equations in two variables (SPLDV). Self-efficacy is one of the many factors that influence students' problem-solving abilities. This study aims to describe the problem-solving abilities of junior high school students based on their self-efficacy levels. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects were three eighth-grade students from MTsN 1 Bone. The primary instrument used in this study was the researcher, supported by interview guidelines and a problem-solving test on the SPLDV material. The findings revealed that high-ability students were able to plan and implement strategies to solve problems effectively, while students with moderate and low abilities lacked accuracy in solving problems. All three students demonstrated a reasonably good level of self-confidence in solving the given problems, utilized their learning experiences in the process, and had a positive outlook on the results obtained. The implication of this study suggests that strengthening students' self-efficacy can be an effective strategy for improving mathematical problem-solving skills, particularly in the topic of SPLDV.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kemampuan literasi matematika meninjau dari kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa SMPN 3 Pattallassang terkait materi bangun datar segiempat. Dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, tiga partisipan dipilih secara purposif untuk mewakili kategori kemampuan tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Data diperoleh melalui tes literasi matematika, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi hasil kerja siswa, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa seluruh siswa mampu memahami permasalahan dan mengenali informasi penting. Siswa kategori tinggi menunjukkan pendekatan penyelesaian yang logis dan menyeluruh. Kategori siswa sedang menunjukkan pemahaman yang terbatas dan melakukan kesalahan dalam menerapkan strategi penyelesaian. Siswa kategori rendah mengalami kesulitan sejak awal, menerapkan rumus secara mekanis tanpa memahami konteks. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa keterampilan berpikir strategi dan komunikasi matematis perlu ditingkatkan melalui pembelajaran kontekstual.

Abstract

Technology in learning must be optimized, one of which is using learning. This study aims to determine the process of developing learning videos and the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of learning videos. This type of research is Research and Development research with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The instruments used are a validation sheet, a learning implementation observation sheet, a student activity observation sheet, a teacher response questionnaire, a student response questionnaire, and a mathematical literacy ability test. The research subjects were students of class VIII, 2 MTs Negeri Gowa. The results showed that the validation analysis achievement by the validator team was 3.83, which is a very valid category. Practicality criteria of 90.38% with a very positive response, and the results of observations of learning implementation 1.85, with the category fully implemented. The results of the effectiveness criteria were 85.43% with a positive response, 71.05% student activity observation analysis with a good category, and 76.05%. So it is concluded that the context-based learning video on SPLDV material to improve students' mathematical literacy skills is of good quality, as evidenced by the average student being at level 4, namely 68.42%. So that it is effectively applied in the learning process because it meets the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Other researchers can also develop videos with different tools and materials.

Abstract

The lack of varied teaching materials and the inability to adapt to students' learning styles, as well as teacher-centered learning, encourage the development of learning innovations. Therefore, this study aims to develop a mathematics module based on Visual, Auditory, and Kinesthetic (VAK) learning. The research model used is ADDIE which consists of several phases, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The product developed is a teaching material, namely a VAK-based learning module on the material of relations and functions which was tested on 30 eighth-grade students at one of the MTs in Gowa. The instruments used in this study were expert validation sheets, student activity observation sheets, teacher activity observation sheets in the implementation of learning, student response questionnaires, teacher response questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. Based on the results of the trials conducted, this module meets the validity criteria with all instruments in the very high category. The practicality criteria are met with educator responses and learning implementation in the very good category. The effectiveness criteria are seen from student activities in the very good category), student responses in the very positive category, and learning completion reaching classical completion of 84%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the VAK-based mathematics module on the subject of relations and functions for grade VIII has met the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness.

Abstract

Mathematical problem solving ability is an essential skill that allows students to apply mathematical concepts to problems. However, there are still quite serious problems related to students' low mathematical problem solving abilities. Therefore, service in the form of assistance in solving contextual-based questions on SPLDV material aims to facilitate students' mathematical problem solving abilities. This assistance is provided to class VIII MTsN Gowa students. Evaluation of the level of success of service is carried out through learning outcomes tests which include contextual-based questions and student response questionnaires. Based on the analysis of learning outcomes tests, it was found that students' mathematical problem solving abilities still need to be trained. However, based on analysis of student response questionnaires, a positive response was obtained regarding the implementation of mentoring. Thus, service activities in the form of assistance in solving contextual-based problems are feasible to be carried out on an ongoing basis in an effort to improve students' mathematical problem solving abilities.
