Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' critical thinking skills in learning mathematics, especially the matter of sequences and series in class XI MIA 4 MA Negeri 1 Sungaipuh City. The method used in this study was the Chroschek sectional survey, the sample in the study was determined using simple random sampling, in which the researcher took the sample randomly to obtain Class XI MIA 4 consisting of 32 students. Data collection techniques in the form of tests. The test instrument in this study was a description item consisting of 3 items to measure students' critical thinking skills. Each item contains 5 indicators of critical thinking skills, including interpretation, analysis, explanation, evaluation and inference. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the critical thinking skills of students in class XI MIA 4 MAN 1 Sungai Full City in the material for sequences and series were still lacking with an average value of 40.8. Students' critical thinking skills appear the most in analytical indicators. The lack of students' ability is influenced by various factors, namely, the lack of mindset in solving problems and understanding concepts. Thus, the teacher plays an important role in developing students' mathematical critical thinking skills

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini guna mengetahui mengenai pengaruh strategi tanya jawab terhadap minat belajar  siswa dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam. Jenis penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif Quasi Experiment, dengan desain Nonquivalent Control Group Design. Penelitian ini menggunakan 2 kelompok, yaitu kelas eksperimen dengan menggunakan strategi tanya jawab dan kelas kontrol dengan menggunakan strategi yang biasa digunakan guru yaitu strategi ceramah. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas kelas X SMAN 14 Kerinci yang berjumlah 35 siswa dan sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 35 siswa yang terdiri dari 18 siswa lokal X A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 17 siswa lokal X B sebagai kelas kontrol. Dalam penelitian ini terdapat 2 variabel yaitu, strategi tanya jawab sebagai variabel bebas dan minat belajar siswa sebagai variabel terikat. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket dan instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket minat belajar. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu dapat dilihat dari hasil analisis statistik yang diperoleh bahwa signifikansi (2-failed) < 0,05. Karena nilai signifikansi (2-failed) lebih kecil dari 0,05, yaitu 0,000 < 0,05, maka dapat dinyatakan bahwa terdapat pengaruh strategi tanya jawab terhadap minat belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon, namely the low interest in learning of students in learning Islamic religious education. This research aims to determine the effect of the demonstration method in Islamic religious education learning on students' interest in learning. This research method is a quantitative quasi experiment, with a nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study were 95 class IX students. This research used 2 classes, namely the experimental class using the demonstration method and the control class using commonly used methods such as the lecture method. Data on student learning interest was obtained through a scale with a Likert scale model. The data analysis technique uses the t test formula with the help of the SPSS application. The calculation used is a comparative analysis of the posttest scores of the control class and the experimental class. The results of this statistical analysis showed that the significance (2-tailed) was 0.000 < 0.05. So, it can be concluded that the results of this research reveal that there is an influence of the demonstration method on students' interest in learning, because learning using the demonstration method can increase students' interest in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the problem-solving abilities of Mathematics Education students at IAIN Kerinci in relation to their levels of mathematics anxiety. Mathematics anxiety is a significant barrier that interferes with cognitive processes and impairs academic performance in mathematics learning. Employing a qualitative approach, data were collected through questionnaires, documentation, and problem-solving tests on systems of linear equations, analyzed using Polya’s problem-solving stages. The results revealed that students with high anxiety faced difficulties in almost all stages, those with moderate anxiety showed partial understanding but lacked execution accuracy, while students with low anxiety demonstrated optimal performance across all stages. The study proposes the Qurmatica approach as a pedagogical solution that integrates spiritual values to reduce anxiety and enhance learning motivation.
