Abstract

Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan multimedia pembelajaran interaktif pada matakuliah penggunaan dan pengaturan motor listrik. Pengembangan media interaktif ini bertujuan untuk menyediakan alternatif media pembelajaran yang dapat memfasilitasi mahasiswa untuk belajar secara aktif, kreatif dan mandiri tanpa adanya keterbatasan ruang, waktu ataupun adanya pendidik. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri dari 5 tahapan utama yaitu: (1) Analisis, (2) Perancangan, (3) Pengembangan dan (4) Implementasi dan (5) Evaluasi. Rancangan desain multimedia pembelajaran interaktif dibuat dengan menggunakan software Adobe Flash Pro CC. Dalam penelitian ini, teknis analisis data yang digunakan yaitu teknik analisis deskriptif yaitu mendeskripsikan tingkat validitas produk yang dihasilkan. Berdasarkan hasil keseluruhan validasi ahli materi memperoleh rata-rata sebesar 4,73, maka hasil validasi terhadap produk multimedia pembelajaran interaktif dari para ahli materi tersebut dikategorikan sangat baik. Hasil keseluruhan validasi ahli media memperoleh rata-rata sebesar 4,75, maka hasil validasi terhadap produk multimedia pembelajaran interaktif dari para ahli media tersebut dikategorikan sangat baik. Kata Kunci: Multimedia Pembelajaran Interaktif, Motor Listrik, Model ADDIE  Abstract: This study aims to develop interactive multimedia learning in the course of using and regulating electric motors. The development of interactive media aims to provide alternative learning media that can facilitate students to learn actively, creatively and independently without any limitations of space, time or the presence of educators. This study uses the ADDIE development model which consists of 5 main stages, namely: (1) Analysis, (2) Design, (3) Development and (4) Implementation and (5) Evaluation. The interactive learning multimedia design design is made using Adobe Flash Pro CC software. In this study, the technical data analysis used is a descriptive analysis technique, which describes the level of validity of the product produced. Based on the overall validation results of material experts obtained an average of 4.73, the validation results of interactive learning multimedia products from these material experts are categorized as very good. Abstract

Dalam pembelajaran media-media yang berbasis digital sudah banyak berkembang baik dari tingkat sekolah dasar sampai dengan tingkat perguruan tinggi. Media sebagai salah satu komponen dari pengajaran yang sangat berpengaruh terhadap proses pembelajaran. Dengan adanya media yang mendukung dalam proses pembelajaran, akan mampu meningkatkan kualitas hasil belajar siswa. Pada pelaksanaan Program Kemitraan Masyarakat yang diadakan di SMKS Imelda Medan, dimana SMKS Imelda Medan merupakan mitra dalam pelakasanaan program kemitraan masyarakat yang berada di wilayah Medan. SMKS Imelda Medan melaksanakan kegiatan pendidikan di bidang kejuruan. Para guru-guru di sekolah terebut dalam menyajikan bahan ajar hanya dalam betuk teks sehingga membuat tingkat kebosanan siswa meningkat. Solusi yang dilakukan dalam mengatasi permasalahan mitra yaitu melakukan pendampingan dan pelatihan pembuatan media ajar berbasis komik strip. Dimana komik strip ini memiliki daya tarik sehingga pesan yang disampaikan akan mudah dipahami. Komik strip yang dikembangkan berisi serangkaian cerita bergambar yang menarik dan berwarna. Oleh karena itu, dengan adanya Komik Strip para siswa lebih mudah memahami isi pelajaran dengan baik.

Abstract

Abstrak: Media pembelajaran merupakan hal yang sangat penting dalam proses pembelajaran. Media pembelajaran yang baik sangat efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Peneliti mengembangkan media pembelajaran interaktif dengan tujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa media pembelajaran dalam bentuk CD Interaktif yang dapat digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Media pembelajaran pada penelitian ini berdasarkan model desain ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Adapun metode penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan langkah-langkah penggunaan metode research and development  (R & D). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan CD Interaktif ternyata mendapat respon antusias dari mahasiswa dan sangat efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Kata kunci: Media Pembelajaran, Model ADDIE, Penelitian dan Pengembangan Abstrack: Learning media is very important in the learning process. Good learning media is very effective in learning. Researchers develop interactive learning media with the aim of producing products in the form of learning media in the form of Interactive CDs that can be used in the learning process. The learning media in this study are based on the ADDIE design model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The research method is carried out using the steps of using research and development (R & D) methods. Abstract

The computer laboratory is one of the facilities that support the learning process, therefore, a professional laboratory management system is required to assist lecturers with computer laboratory upkeep. In the process of selecting laboratory assistants it takes quite a long time, is less efficient and cannot save the history of selection results automatically. So this research will create a decision support system using the simple additive weighting method to assist lecturers in selecting computer laboratory systems efficiently. The criteria used for selection were the GPA (Cumulative Achievement Index), Hardware Installation Tests, Software Installation Tests, LAN Installation Tests, Programming Tests, and Interviews. The final results of calculations using the simple additive weighting method will choose 2 alternatives with the highest scores to become computer laboratory assistants, namely alternative 4 (X4) with a value of 0.97 and alternative 2 with a value of 0.91 (X2). The decision support system will be built based on a website and the database system will use MySql.

Abstract

Air conditioning for residential comfort is important for human life for the early days of the changing weather climate that affects the temperature of the air temperature in residential dwellings. The air conditioning system is one of the business actions in the form of maintaining the temperature level in the room from the low level of the ambient temperature around it by absorbing heat from the material or room. The air conditioning load is also carried out to determine the AC capacity needed. Research conducted by the Glamour Mansion Tanjung Morawa Housing Complex using the method used is to calculate cooling capacity based on GA (General Arranggement) which includes several parameters, namely the number of people, number of windows, room volume, equipment, and heat from lights. So that the calculation of Heat Calculation, Air Capacity, and Cooling Capacity in a complex is obtained. From the results of the study it is known that the AC cooling load for the Glamour Mansion Tanjung Morawa Complex is the living room 1482 BTU / h, Room I 1953 BTU / h, Room II 800 BTU / h. 1 AC with a capacity of ½ PK in the room. 1 AC with a capacity of ½ PK in each room.

Abstract

The use of capacitors in electrical systems is widely known for their function to improve power factor and voltage profile while minimizing power losses. It results from the reactive power correction provided by capacitors within the system. It is believed that proper placement and size of capacitors can enhance the electricity quality in power systems. Therefore, numerous methods have been developed regarding the allocation and sizing of capacitors. In this research, a meta-heuristic method, Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is applied to find the optimal allocation and sizing of capacitors in order to reduce losses. The method has also been improved by modifying the value of inertia weight to optimize the algorithm's performance in finding the solution. The method is tested on an IEEE 34 bus radial distribution system to observe its performance and effectiveness in identifying the solution. The power loss in the distribution system plays the most important role in the economic operation of the power system. It will be used as a fitness function for each particle in the algorithm. The obtained test results include the size of the capacitor and the optimal placement of the capacitor installation.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengembangkan alat pembelajaran berbasis mikroprosesor yang didukung oleh teknologi Internet of Things (IoT) di program studi Pendidikan Teknik Elektro, Fakultas Teknik, Universitas Negeri Medan. Alat ini dirancang untuk membantu mahasiswa memahami integrasi mikroprosesor dengan IoT, yang semakin relevan dalam konteks revolusi industri 4.0. Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan pendekatan ADDIE, yang mencakup tahap Analisis, Desain, Pengembangan, Implementasi, dan Evaluasi. Trainer ini menggunakan modul NodeMCU ESP8266 versi 5 yang dilengkapi dengan konektivitas Wi-Fi guna mendukung fungsi IoT. Validasi dilakukan oleh ahli materi dan media, serta diujicobakan secara terbatas pada mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan trainer ini sangat layak digunakan, dengan penilaian 86% dari ahli materi, 85,6% dari ahli media, serta kepuasan pengguna mencapai 85,4%. Selain itu, penggunaan trainer ini secara signifikan meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan keterampilan praktis mahasiswa, terlihat dari kenaikan hasil post-test sebesar 32% dibandingkan pre-test. Kesimpulannya, trainer berbasis IoT ini efektif dan layak dijadikan media pembelajaran dalam pendidikan teknik. Kata Kunci: Trainer, Mikroprosesor, Internet of Things, Media Pembelajaran Abstract : This research aims to design and develop microprocessor-based learning tools supported by Internet of Things (IoT) technology in the Electrical Engineering Education study program, Faculty of Engineering, State University of Medan. This tool is designed to help students understand the integration of microprocessors with IoT, which is increasingly relevant in the context of the industrial revolution 4.0. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE approach, which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. This trainer uses a NodeMCU module ESP8266 version 5 equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity to support IoT functions. Validation is carried out by material and media experts, and tested on a limited basis to students. The results of the study show that this trainer is very feasible to use, with 86% assessment from material experts, 85.6% from media experts, and user satisfaction reaching 85.4%. In addition, the use of this trainer significantly improved students' understanding of practical concepts and skills, as evidenced by a 32% increase in post-test results compared to pre-tests. In conclusion, this IoT-based trainer is effective and worthy of being used as a learning medium in engineering education. Keywords: Trainer, Microprocessor, Internet of Things, Learning Media

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji efektivitas e-learning yang dikontekstualisasikan secara budaya dalam meningkatkan kemahiran bahasa Prancis, serta mengeksplorasi dinamika negosiasi budaya di lingkungan pesantren di Indonesia. Dengan menggunakan desain mixed-methods sequential explanatory yang terintegrasi dengan Model Evaluasi Kirkpatrick, penelitian ini melibatkan 90 santri dari Pesantren Daarul Muhsinin, Sumatera Utara. Data kuantitatif dari pre/post-test (CEFR A2–B1) dan kuesioner persepsi dianalisis secara triangulatif dengan temuan kualitatif dari diskusi kelompok terfokus (FGD) dan analisis wacana multimodal. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kemahiran bahasa Prancis (rata-rata pre-test: 58,9 ± 8,1; post-test: 72,3 ± 6,7; Cohen’s d = 1,52), dengan keterampilan berbicara menunjukkan peningkatan tertinggi (37%). Analisis regresi mengidentifikasi keterlibatan (engagement) sebagai prediktor terkuat terhadap kemahiran berbicara (β = 0,68; p = 0,002). Negosiasi budaya muncul dalam tiga strategi: (1) substitusi simbol non-halal (misalnya mengganti vin dengan jus de raisin), (2) rekontekstualisasi artefak budaya (misalnya memadukan beret dengan fesyen islami), dan (3) integrasi historis yang mengaitkan konten Prancis dengan warisan Islam (misalnya membandingkan collège dengan madrasah Andalusia). Proses ini membentuk “Ruang Ketiga Digital” di mana santri secara aktif merekonsiliasi budaya global dengan nilai-nilai Islam. Penelitian ini mengukuhkan kerangka kerja sosio-teknopedagogik untuk perancangan e-learning yang sensitif terhadap nilai dalam konteks pendidikan keagamaan, serta menawarkan model praktis bagi para pengambil kebijakan yang merespons target UNESCO SDG 4.7 tentang pendidikan antarbudaya.

Abstract

Industry is one of the economic sectors that plays a role in processing environmental resources into products with higher utility values. This process includes design activities, industrial engineering, and service provision. Matra Abadi Workshop, a manufacturing industry that in its operations produces harmonic currents in the electric power system network, especially in low-order harmonics such as 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, and 11th. To reduce the negative impact of harmonics on the power system, the use of passive harmonic filters is required. Among the types of filters used, single tuned filters are a common choice because of their simple construction and effectiveness in reducing certain order harmonics that exceed the IEEE 512–2014 standard limits. This study discusses the implementation of both types of filters in a manufacturing industry environment. The harmonic reduction process is carried out through filter design and testing using Matlab/Simulink software-based simulations. The simulation results show that after the application of passive filters, the harmonic current levels in all load configurations were successfully suppressed to within the IEEE 512–2014 standard limits. The reduction in Total Harmonic Distortion (THDi) after the application of the single tuned filter was recorded in the range of 17.86% to 11.06%. In addition, there was an increase in the power factor from 0.68 before the filter was installed to 0.91 after the installation, which indicates an improvement in the overall power system performance.
