Abstract

ABSTRAK Konsep perumahan saat ini banyak yang mendesain rumah dengan lahan pekarangan yang sempit, sedangkan banyak program pemerintah yang mengacu pada pemenuhan kebutuhan pangan melalui optimalisasi pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan. Perumahan Griya Pertiwi Kota Metro juga memiliki lahan pekarangan yang sempit. Untuk meningkatkan optimalisasi lahan pekarangan warga Griya Pertiwi maka sistem budidaya yang cocok adalah budidaya vertikultur. Metode yang digunakan dalam program pengabdian ini adalah sosialisasi dan pelatihan budidaya sistem vertikultur pada warga perumahan Griya Pertiwi yang memiliki lahan pekarangan sempit. Materi sosialisasi ini terdiri dari 3 bahasan : 1) kajian teknologi vertikultur sebagai solusi manajemen keuangan rumah tangga, 2) perakitan alat/media vertikultur serta 3) penanaman dan pemeliharaan tanaman pada sistem vertikultur. Setelah proses sosialisasi dan pelatihan budidaya sistem vertikultur ini, warga perumahan Griya Pertiwi sangat antusias. Warga menerapkan budidaya sistem vertikultur ini di pekarangan rumahnya, sehingga dapat memenuhi kebutuhan pangan yang sehat dan higienis bagi keluarganya. Kata kunci : lahan perumahan, vertikultur, kebutuhan pangan keluarga.ABSTRACTCurrently, many housing concepts are designing with narrow yards, while many government program refer to fulfill food for family through optimizing the use of yard land. Griya Pertiwi housing in Metro City also has a narrow yard. To increase the optimization of the homesteads of Griya Pertiwi resident, a suitable cultivation system is verticulture cultivation.The method in this program is socialization and training of verticulture cultivation for residents of Griya Pertiwi housing who have narrow yard. The socialization material consist of 3 topics : 1) study of verticulture technology as a household financial management solution, 2) assembling verticulture tools/media and 3) Palnting and maintaining plants in verticulture system. After socialization and training on cultivation of verticulture system, the residents of Griya Pertiwi were very enthusiastic. They apply this verticulture cultivation system in their yards, so that they can fulfill healthy and hygienic food for their families.Keywords: Housing yard, verticulture, daily food fulfill

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the Discovery Learning model on the critical thinking skills of students of grade XI SMA Negeri 5 Metro. This type of research is quasi-experimental research that is quasi experimental research (quasi experimental research). The research design used in this research is Post-test Only Control Design with Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The sampling technique used in this research is Cluster Random Sampling technique because the population consists of individual groups (Clusters). The population used is all students of class XI IPA SMA Negeri 5 Metro Lesson Year 2019/2020 includes 4 classes consisting of 128 students. The sample used consisted of two classes. This research uses two classes: control class applied by conventional learning model and experiment class applied by model of Probing Prompting. The biological material studied using the model of Probing Prompting is Sistem Koordinasi in the class XI IPA of odd semester. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 5 Metro located at JalanWolter Monginsidi Metro pusat. Data analysis of research result using parametric test of t-test.Based on the results of research, about the influence of the Probing Prompting model on students 'critical thinking ability, it can be concluded that the Probing Prompting model has an effect on the students' critical thinking ability as evidenced by the result of the relevant hypothesis test that is t-test that thit (89,9) is bigger than tdaf (2,39) in level of significance 0,01, so that model of Probing Prompting influence to critical thinking ability of student of class XI SMA Negeri 5 Metro.

Abstract

Fisheries are one of the trade commodities that are favored by the public for consumption, both freshwater fish and seawater fish. Fish is much favored by the community in addition to having a good taste as well as an affordable price. From the high interest in fish consumption, traditional markets cause pollution to the environment. The pollution is in the form of waste fish. This research was conducted as a solution to overcome the problem of fish market liquid waste that can be used as raw material for making liquid organic fertilizer by optimizing the utilization of the Pumakkal starter. In this study, treatment was carried out with 1 control and 5 treatments, and 3 replications. P1 with a varied formula of 3 isolates, P2 with a variety of formula 6 isolates, P3 with a variety of formula 9 isolates, P4 with a variation of formula 12 isolates, and P5 with a variation of formula 15 isolates. The research results show that levels of N + P + K has a quality standard set by the government (2-6%). In the P0 treatment, the percentage of N+P+K was 5.685%. Then in the P1 treatment, the percentage of N+P+K was 6.998%. Then in the P2 treatment, the percentage of N+P+K was 7.727%. Then in the P3 treatment, the percentage of N+P+K was 8.430%. Furthermore, in the P4 treatment, the percentage of N+P+K was 8.284%. Meanwhile, for the P5 treatment, the percentage of N+P+K was 9.658%. At levels of C-Organic, it has a quality standard (minimum 10) with a percentage of 18.208%. For the value of C-Organic with a percentage of already complied with the provisions of SNI. For the levels of N+P2O5+K2O with a percentage of 12,239%. The measured pH level, it has a value of 6. Then the liquid organic fertilizer from fish market waste is said to be feasible because it meets the criteria of SNI or Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture no. 261/KTPS/SR. 310/M4/2019.

Abstract

Catfish pond water waste has the potential value to produce fertilizer with innovations in its treatment, converting waste into liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) that can be used by the community as the fertilizer of plants. The aims of this study were 1) To find out which pumakkal formula variation affected the levels of N, P, K in catfish pond wastewater, 2) To find out which pumakkal formula had the best effect on N, P, K levels in catfish pond wastewater, 3) To determine to find out the results of research in the form of LKPD suitable for use as biology teaching materials. This study uses an experimental research design. This study used 1 control and 5 treatments and 3 replications. Treatment 1 used 3 isolates, treatment 2 used 6 isolates, treatment 3 used 9 isolates, treatment 4 used 12 isolates, and treatment 5 used 15 isolates. The results of the test for liquid fertilizer from catfish pond wastewater showed that P5 was the best degrading agent with yields of N (0.533%), P (3.176%), and K (3.994%). Based on the analysis of the validation of teaching materials, this research is suitable for learning biology in the form of student activity sheets with a value of 86% validation of material aspects and 86% of design aspects.

Abstract

Macroalgae is one component of the ecosystem that has an important role inwaters, especially on the coast of Pisang Island. The role of macroalgae formarine biota such as being a breeding ground and providing food. The PisangIsland Government plans that Pisang Island become one of the natural touristdestinations. Surely the region will experience a transition into a touristattraction and will have an influence on the ecosystem at sea. So before thetransition occurs, macroalgae research needs to be held on Pisang Island. Aqualitative descriptive research method with a purposive sampling techniqueusing a combination of transect lines. The data obtained were analyzed withShannon Winner.The objectives of the study of macroalgae on Pisang Island are: (1)Determine the species of macroalgae in Pisang Islands. (2) Knowing the resultsof research can be used as a poster. The results of macroalgae research onPisang Island found 10 species grouped into 3 divisions named Chaetomorphacrassa, Boergesenia forbesii, Avrainvillea erecta, Valonia aegagrophillia, Ulvalactuca, Sargassum polycytum, Turbinaria ornate, Fucus sp, Padina australis,Valonia aegagrophillia, Ulva lactuca, Sargassum polycytum, Turbinariaornate, Fucus sp. The results of the study were made into posters that can beused in learning and for the public. Posters contain information such asclassification of macroalgae, morphology, habitat benefits and there areoriginal photographs of macroalgae found. The results of poster validation,from material experts and design experts get a percentage of 96% with thecriteria "Very Good" and valid for use. Validation was carried out by 2Lecturers at the University of Muhammadiyah Metro.

Abstract

Pisang Island is an island in the region of Pesisir Barat Regency, Lampung Province. Pisang Island has a land area of 148.82 Ha. The WestCoast Government plans that Pisang Island be made one of the touristdestinations on the West Coast. Of course, an area that is transitioning to atourist destination will have an influence on the ecosystem at sea. So beforethere was a transition to a tourist attraction, a research was carried out onPisang Island regarding the inventory of the Decapoda Order on PisangIsland. The objectives of the research concerning the Inventory of theDecapoda Order on Pisang Island in Pesisir Barat are: (1) Knowing thediversity of the Decapoda Order in Pisang Island. (2) Determine speciesdifferences between stations. (3) Knowing the research design being studiedcan be used as a poster. This type of research is descriptive qualitativeresearch, where this research was conducted directly on the Pisang Island,this research was conducted by recording as much as possible about theOrder. Analysis of data from the existing Decapoda Order and obtained fromthe results of the research at each station, the diversity index and itsdominance index were calculated.The results of research on Decapoda in Pisang Island, Pesisir BaratRegency, Lampung Province obtained data that found 4 species grouped in theCrustacean class. Species found on Pisang Island in the Decapoda Order werepredicted by Sesarmoides jacobsoni (Ihle, 1912), predicted by Zosimus aeneus(Linnaeus, 1758), predicted by Scylla serrata (Forskal, 1775), and predicted byMetapenaeus ensis (De Haan, 1844). Species differences between stationsnamely station one and station two were found species of white crabs(Sesarmoides jacobsoni) and mangrove crabs (Scylla serrata). Station threefound species of white crab (Sesarmoides jacobsoni), Crab crab (Zosimusaeneus), and Shrimp Donggol (Metapenaeus ensis). The results of postervalidation that have been developed in terms of design experts and materialexperts are getting a percentage of 85.6% with the criteria "Very Good".Validation was carried out by 2 Lecturers of Muhammadiyah Metro Universityconsisting of 1 Lecturer validating the design on the poster, while 1 Lecturervalidating the material on the poster. The results of the validation can beconcluded with the percentage that has been obtained stating that the poster isdeclared "Very Valid" and can be used.

Abstract

Pomacea canaliculata and Anodonta woodiana are alternative foods for people who live in Kalibening Village, Pekalongan, Lampung Timur. They live as a filter feeder, so they can accumulate heavy metals Pb and Cd from their habitat potentially. This study aims to determine the effect of cooking method on the levels of Pb and Cd and the nutritional value of P. canaliculata and A. woodiana such as Ca and Protein. The variation of the cooking method that was used in this experiment is: steam, boil and fry with without processing, as a control. Based on the results of the study it is known that boiling is the best method in minimizing Pb and Cd from P. canaliculata and A. woodiana with an average reduction of 41.43% for Pb metal and 58.06% for Cd metal. While the average decrease in Ca levels was around 24.64% and 23.23% for the average reduction in protein.

Abstract

This study analyzed the effect of chromium metal accumulation on magnesium absorption and chlorophyll content in vegetables. The effect of accumulation was determined by performing controlled experimental methods on planting media supplemented with chromium and by directly observing vegetables grown in chromium-polluted areas, such as mountain, rice field, street, and industrial areas. The controlled experiments were carried out by varying the chromium contamination (1 and 3 ppm) and magnesium nutrition (0.4, 0.6, and 0.8 g/L) in planting media. The controlled experiment was compared with the results of field observation in several chromium-polluted areas. The effect of the treatment was analyzed based on the chlorophyll and magnesium levels in the leaves in comparison with the chromium levels in the planting medium. The results of observation and controlled experiments showed that the accumulation of chromium in plants affected the absorption of magnesium, which also affected chlorophyll formation and thus disrupted plant growth. The high chromium level (3 ppm) and magnesium level in planting media can reduce the accumulation of chromium in kale stems and leaves by 19% and 33%, respectively, increase magnesium absorption on kale stems and leaves by 7% and 5%, respectively, and increase chlorophyll formation on kale stems and leaves by 12% and 11%, respectively. Field observation in several chromium-polluted areas showed that spinach has a better chromium accumulation tolerance than kale in terms of magnesium absorption. The type of planting media, plant species, and the presence of other metal contaminants also affect chromium accumulation, magnesium absorption, and chlorophyll level.

Abstract

The surai chameleon (Bronchocela jubata Dumeril & Bibron, 1837) is a carnivorous arboreal reptile. The temperature body is poikiloterm and has a roleas insect biocontrol in organic vegetable farming. The objectives of this study were 1) to determine the daily behavior of surai chameleon (Bronchocela jubataDumeril & Bibron, 1837) in organic vegetables in Karangrejo Village, North Metro. 2) to be used as a learning resource in the form of brochures for grade Xsenior high school students on ecosystem material. The brochures that discusses the daily behavior of animals as a biotic component. The research was conducted using the VES (Visual Encounter Survey) method. The research was conducted on fourteen-twenty December two thousand twenty. The time of observation was carried out in the morning at 06.00 a.m.-20.00 p.m (with two until three hour time intervals). Data were collected using the VES (Visual Encounter Survey) method and analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the behavior of the surai chameleon (Bronchocela jubata Dumeril&Bibron, 1837) in a day includes the behavior of eating insects, basking, resting, looking from side to side, jumping, hiding, sleeping and moving. The behavior of the surai chameleon(Bronchocela jubata Dumeril & Bibron, 1837) as a diurnal reptile is mostly done in the morning, afternoon and evening. The dominant behavior is the behavior ofresting and moving, while the behavior that is rarely done is the behavior of eating insects and the behavior of looking left and right. Utilization of researchresults used as a source of learning biology in the form of brochures for senior high school class X semester 2 ecosystem material.

Abstract

Pesatnya perkembangan budidaya sistem intensif tambak telah menimbulkan permasalahan penurunan daya dukung tambak udang. Dampak di antaranya terjadi penumpukan limbah termasuk ditemukannya polutan logam berat, serangan penyakit, produktivitas udang menurun. Langkah antisipasi melalui penerapan teknologi budidaya yang berprinsip keberlanjutan ekosistem diharapkan menjadi solusi untuk mencegah kerusakan yang lebih besar. Diantaranya melalui aplikasi probiotik dan rempah pakan tambahan yang memiliki kemampuan menjaga kualitas air tambak, mengurangi mikroorganisme patogen, meningkatkan produktivitas udang dalam rangka menciptakan sistem tambak berkelanjutan yang dari segi ekonomi juga menguntungkan. Tujuan pengabdian memberikan penguatan mengelola tambak sehingga menumbuhkan budaya mengelola tambak ramah lingkungan melalui kecerdasan kearifan lokal masyarakat Pasir Sakti dalam memanfaatkan rempah probiotik untuk menjadi inisiasi penyediaan bahan pangan sehat halalan thoyyiban. Metode pengabdian adalah praktik mengaplikasikan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, wawancara, observasi dalam keterlibatan masyarakatnya mengelola tambak yang memanfaatkan probiotik dan rempah lokal. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan: 1) Pemahaman mengelola tambak sebagai inisiasi tambak berkelanjutan sudah baik; 2) Pemahaman praktik pembuatan probiotik dan rempah pakan tambahan sudah baik; 3) Kurangnya kesadaran pengelolaan tambak sebagai wujud usaha penanganan tambak penyedia pangan halalan thoyiban. Perlu pemahaman akademis yang agamis didasarkan pada kearifan lokal, agar kesadaran pengelolaan tambak secara berkelanjutan dapat ditumbuhkan.
