Abstract

Kinesthetic intelligence is an important aspect of early childhood development related to the ability to use the body skillfully, coordinate movements, and express ideas and feelings through physical activities. Optimizing kinesthetic intelligence should be carried out from an early age through learning activities that align with children's developmental characteristics. One learning approach that can be utilized is dance education, as it involves structured, creative, and enjoyable movement activities. This study aims to analyze the role of dance learning in optimizing the kinesthetic intelligence of early childhood children. The research employed a qualitative approach using a library research design. Data were collected from various scientific sources, including books, national and international journal articles, conference proceedings, and previous studies related to kinesthetic intelligence and dance learning in early childhood education. Data collection was conducted through documentation techniques, while data analysis used content analysis. The findings indicate that dance learning contributes positively to the development of children's kinesthetic intelligence by improving movement coordination, body balance, flexibility, agility, movement control, and body awareness. In addition, dance activities help enhance children's self-confidence in performing various physical movements. Therefore, dance learning can be considered an effective learning strategy for optimizing kinesthetic intelligence in early childhood comprehensively.

Abstract

Creativity is an essential aspect that should be developed from an early age because it plays a significant role in children's ability to think flexibly, generate new ideas, solve problems, and express themselves. One approach that can be used to stimulate children's creativity is dance learning based on movement exploration. This study aims to analyze the role of movement exploration-based dance learning in stimulating creativity among early childhood children. The research employed a qualitative approach using a library research design. Data were collected from various scientific sources, including books, national and international journal articles, conference proceedings, and previous studies related to early childhood creativity, dance education, and movement exploration. Data collection was conducted through documentation techniques, while data analysis used content analysis. The findings indicate that movement exploration-based dance learning contributes positively to the development of children's creativity, particularly in the aspects of fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. Furthermore, movement exploration activities enhance children's imagination, self-expression, and self-confidence in communicating ideas and presenting their creative work. Therefore, movement exploration-based dance learning can be considered an effective learning strategy for optimally stimulating creativity in early childhood.

Abstract

The STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) approach has become one of the most relevant educational innovations for developing 21st-century competencies in early childhood education. The integration of STEAM with dance learning provides a holistic learning experience by combining science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics in activities that align with children's developmental characteristics. This study aims to synthesize previous research findings on STEAM-based dance learning models for early childhood education. The research employed a qualitative approach using a library research design. Data were collected from various scientific sources, including books, national and international journal articles, conference proceedings, and relevant studies related to STEAM learning, dance education, and early childhood education. Data collection was conducted through documentation techniques, while data analysis used content analysis. The findings indicate that the STEAM-based dance learning model integrates science through movement and environmental observation, technology through digital learning media, engineering through the design and development of movement sequences, arts through creative expression activities, and mathematics through the introduction of patterns, rhythm, and counting concepts. This learning model has been shown to enhance children's creativity, critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, communication skills, collaboration, and motor development. Therefore, STEAM-based dance learning can serve as an innovative educational approach that supports the holistic development of young children while addressing the demands of 21st-century education.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low learning enthusiasm of fifth-grade students at MI Darul Ulum in Science and Social Studies (IPAS), which only reached 20%. This passive condition hindered students' affective development and cognitive achievement. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of the "Star Achievement" token economy strategy as a stimulant for students' affective domain development based on Krathwohl & Bloom's Taxonomy. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with data triangulation techniques through interviews, questionnaires, and documentation of 20 respondents. The results showed that this strategy was highly effective at the Receiving (90%), Responding (87%), and Valuing (92%) levels. Stars functioned as positive emotional conditioners that increased pride and material retention. However, at the Organization (70%) and Characterization (45%) levels, challenges were found in independent value internalization because students still tended to depend on extrinsic rewards. The conclusion shows that the "Star Achievement" strategy successfully transformed students' mental energy from passive to active and competitive, although the permanent character-building stage requires continuous assistance.
