Abstract

The Constitutional Court's decision regarding the age limit for presidential and vice presidential candidates wasratified which resulted in a new decision to remain at a minimum age of 40 years but with the addition of the phrase"or has/is currently holding a position elected through general elections, including regional head elections". Thiscaused many reactions and opinions from the public, including the media, in reporting the decision. This researchaims to determine how the media frames news about the Constitutional Court's decision regarding the age limit forpresidential and vice presidential candidates on the media tempo.co and detik.com. This research uses a constructivistparadigm and qualitative research methods with analytical methods framing Robert N. Entman model. The results ofthis research show that tempo.co frames the news by highlighting critical news by considering the decision as apolitical, legal and nepotism problem. Meanwhile, detik.com framed the news by highlighting the news of theConstitutional Court's decision which considered the decision to be a problem of the lack of opportunities given toyoung people in leadership in Indonesia to become leaders. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the reception of young voters from Gen Z towards the 2024 legislative elections inCilengkrang District. Using a qualitative approach through data collection with in-depth interview methods with 15informants who are young voters in Cilengkrang District. This research found that the position of public acceptancein Cilengkrang District according to 3 positions of acceptance of legislative candidates from Generation Z and theresults are dominated by the Dominant-Hegemonic position where the community agrees with the existence oflegislative candidates from Generation Z. The results showed that the position of community acceptance inCilengkrang sub-district towards legislative candidates from Gen Z is dominated by the Dominant Hegemonic positionbecause the community considers that Generation Z has great opportunities and ambitions to bring change to thefuture government. This research is expected to provide insights for political parties and campaign teams to developmore effective strategies in attracting support for Gen Z legislative candidates, as well as being a valuable source ofinformation regarding the public's assessment of Gen Z candidates. Abstract

Pada tahun 2021, tercatat jumlah kasus kekerasan seksual di Indonesia ada sebanyak 5.905 kasus. Di tengah tingginyaangka kasus tersebut, Saipul Jamil justru mendapatkan glorifikasi pasca bebas dari tahanan. Hal ini lantasmenimbulkan reaksi penolakan dari publik, karena glorifikasi terhadap Saipul Jamil sebagai mantan narapidanakekerasan seksual tersebut dinilai sebagai tindakan yang tidak pantas, karena layaknya menghina korban kekerasanseksual. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui sentimen dalam percakapan publik dan menganalisisdiskusi yang berdampak menjadi sebuah gerakan cancel culture yang dialami oleh Saipul Jamil di Twitter pada tahun2021. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis sentimen yang bersifatdeskriptif dan menggunakan sumber data yang diperoleh dari situs web crawling open source bernamaacademic.droneemprit.id. Dari 22.814 percakapan yang terjadi, diambil data sampel sebanyak 500 percakapan.Hasilnya, didapatkan sebanyak 75% atau 378 percakapan publik menyampaikan sentimen negatif, 17% atau 83percakapan menyampaikan sentimen positif, dan 8% atau 39 percakapan menyampaikan sentimen netral. Dari hasilanalisis sentimen dan diperkuat dengan analisis pada hashtag, wordcloud serta emosi, menjadi data kuat yangmembuktikan bahwa terjadi gerakan cancel culture pada Saipul Jamil selama berlangsungnya percakapan di Twitterdalam periode Juli-Desember 2021 Kata Kunci- analisis sentimen, cancel culture, kekerasan seksual, saipul jamil, twitter.
