Abstract

This research stems from the issue of low critical thinking skills among students, based on the results of observations and preliminary research. The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of the Discovery Learning model aided by mind mapping media in enchancing students’ critical thinking skill in the subject of international trade concepts in economics. This research employs an experimental method with a quasi-experimental design using non-equivalent control group design. Data collection techniques include essay tests and interviews with students. Based on the research results, it is explained that there is an influence ot the discovery learning model by mind mapping media on students’ critical thinking skills in the subject of international trade concepts in economics. The alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted if the significance value (2-tailed) is less than 5% or 0.005, and abused on the research results, the obtained signification value (2-tailed) in 0.000, which is less than 0.05. The average score of the experimental group is higher than the control group, with a score of 83.14 > 79.51. Therefore, it can be concluded from this study that the discovery learning model aided by mind mapping media can enhance students’ critical thinking skills.

The research location that I choose has never been even rarely investigated by previous studies and this phenomenon does not occur in all regions. The data collection method is using a questionnaire and the analytical tool used is SPSS version 23, then before the questionnaire is distributed, the instrument will be tested for validity and reliability. The populations are millennials who live in Sawati Village with an age range 21 to 40 years old with a total sample of 125 respondents. Data analysis techniques using the classical assumption test (normality test, reliability test, multicollinearity test, and heteroscedasticity test), multiple linear regression, hypothesis testing (t test and F test), and the coefficient of determination (R square). The findings of this study partially namely economic literacy has no effect on impulsive buying, self-control and fomo have an effect on impulsive buying, then simultaneously economic literacy, self-control and fomo has a significant effect on impulsive buying and in accordance with the grand theory of Kotler 2016. The practical implications of this study are that they can help develop understanding of the phenomenon under study. Both for practitioners, decision makers, and related parties. Provide guidance and recommendations to practitioners in developing policy strategies or best practices in relevant fields, in this case consumer behavior.

Abstract

Unemployment among educated people makes a significant contribution. One of the triggers is the low interest in entrepreneurship among students. This is indicated by students' low participation in activities related to entrepreneurship since they were in college. This study aims to determine the extent to which self-efficacy, family support, and entrepreneurship education affect the interest in entrepreneurship either simultaneously or partially. This study uses a quantitative survey method with an explanatory survey design. The research population is students of the Department of Economics Education, Siliwangi University, Class of 2020. The sampling technique is saturated sampling, which totals 112 students. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire, and the data analysis technique uses the SPSS 25.0 for Windows program.
