Abstract

Highways are one of the land transportation infrastructures that are very important in aspects of human activity, so that road conditions are expected to provide a sense of security and comfort for users of highway infrastructure. However, along with the increasing population in the Medan City area, the need for transportation facilities has also increased, causing a decrease in the quality of the highways which has an impact on road damage caused by roads that are burdened with high volumes of traffic repeatedly. In this study, each type of damage was measured directly in the field and analyzed using the Pavement Condition Index method and the Bina Marga method as an alternative for damage management. Based on the results of this study, the level of damage to the flexible pavement that occurred on Jalan Willem Iskandar, was that there were 7 types of damage, namely crocodile skin cracks, longitudinal cracks, transverse cracks, patches, holes, subsidence, and overturns. The overall average pavement condition index (PCI) value on the Williem Iskandar road is 64.08% with good conditions so that an alternative repair that is appropriate to the damaged conditions is to carry out maintenance per unit segment with reference to the Directorate General of Highways Standard Repair Method.

Abstract

Analisa Producer Surplus merupakan parameter evaluasi kelayakan proyek. Dalam hal ini keuntungan (benefit) yang digunakan adalah semua surplus yang dinikmati oleh produsen barang dan jasa yang dijual dalam daerah pengaruh proyek. Pendekatan Producer Surplus dilakukan dengan memperhatikan wilayah sekitar tertentu, misalnya pertanian dan produk tertentu. Bagi produk tersebut perlu diperhatikan berbagai data produksi, faktor produksi dan harga jualnya, Sementara untuk manfaat Producer Surplus, dihitung umumnya dari hasil komoditas unggulan pada suatu daerah yang belum berkembang. Dengan melakukan analisis Producer Surplus maka akibat yang mungkin terjadi dari perubahan-perubahan produksi hasil tanam pada lokasi proyek atau akibat dari pembangunan ruas jalan baru tersebut dapat diketahui. Untuk itu perlu dilihat sejauh mana manfaat kelayakan ekonomi dan peningkatan produksi terhadap kelayakan ekonomi proyek. Cara sederhana untuk melakukan hal tersebut adalah dengan melakukan analisis Kelayakan Ekonomi dan analisis Producer Surplus. Pada analisis Kelayakan Ekonomi dan analisis Producer Surplus ini dilihat sejauh mana parameter perubahan BCR, NPV dan EIRR pada tingkat suku bunga 10%, 12 % dan 15% dan pada discount rate berapakah nilai kelayakan didapatkan, dan perubahan produksi pertanian jika pembangunan ruas jalan Lawe Sigala Gala – Suka Dame di realisasikan.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak dari penggunaan pembayaran digital terhadap sistem pembukuan bisnis pada Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) King Leuser. Pembayaran digital telah menjadi tren yang signifikan dalam dunia bisnis saat ini, dengan perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi yang pesat. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada analisis konsekuensi yang timbul dari transisi UMKM King Leuser ke sistem pembayaran digital dan bagaimana hal ini mempengaruhi sistem pembukuan bisnis mereka. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah gabungan antara wawancara mendalam dengan pemilik dan manajer UMKM King Leuser, serta analisis dokumentasi terkait sistem pembukuan bisnis sebelum dan setelah implementasi pembayaran digital. Data yang terkumpul akan dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan memperhatikan perubahan yang terjadi dalam praktik pembukuan bisnis UMKM setelah penggunaan pembayaran digital. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang dampak penggunaan pembayaran digital terhadap sistem pembukuan bisnis pada UMKM King Leuser. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga berpotensi memberikan wawasan yang berguna bagi UMKM lainnya yang berencana untuk mengadopsi pembayaran digital dalam operasional mereka. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan rekomendasi yang relevan bagi UMKM King Leuser dan pihak terkait untuk mengoptimalkan penggunaan pembayaran digital dalam rangka meningkatkan efisiensi dan akurasi sistem pembukuan bisnis. Hal ini diharapkan dapat menghadirkan manfaat yang lebih baik bagi UMKM dalam menghadapi tantangan dan peluang di era digital saat ini

Abstract

Elevators is used as vertical transportation devices in multi-story buildings. The Grand Indonesia Mall in the West Mall area provides two areas for its elevators, one of which is the Arjuna Elevator in the foodprint area. According to the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 03-6573-2001, in a standard building, visitors typically wait for elevators for about 40-60 seconds. However, at the Arjuna Elevator, the waiting time exceeds 60 seconds, leading to queues. The reference used in this study is SNI 03-6573-2001, and the research method involves direct survey implementation conducted over 14 days. The calculation results based on direct surveys show that the travel time of the Arjuna Elevator is 80 seconds. It is noted that only 2 out of 3 units are currently operational, with 1 unit undergoing repairs. Consequently, the average waiting time for each unit is 120.997 seconds. The capacity within 5 minutes reaches 100 people, and the circulation demand is 9.17%, while the minimum circulation demand according to SNI 03-6573-2001 is 10%. Based on these calculations, It is concluded that the optimal number of elevator units is 3, resulting in a circulation demand of 10.09% for the Arjuna Elevator in the West Mall area of Grand Indonesia.

Abstract

Aggregate is the main component of the road pavement structure, which is 90-95% of the weight of the pavement. Such a large proportion causes the quality of the aggregate used will greatly determine the overall pavement performance. The availability of quality aggregates is necessary to ensure the sustainability of development in the road construction sector. One area that has aggregate potential that has not been optimally utilized is Kandang Mbelang Village, Lawe Bulan. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of the Marshall, UCS, and ITS test values ​​and the permeability of the asphalt mixture using the excavated material of Kandang Mbelang, Lawe Bulan as an aggregate. This study used an experimental method carried out in the laboratory with variations in asphalt content of 4.5%, 5%, 5.5%, and 6% for Marshall testing and to obtain Optimum Asphalt Content (KAO). For testing ITS, UCS and permeability used Optimum Asphalt Content with three samples each. Hypothesis testing for data comparison using the T-test method. The use of Mbelang cage aggregate in the AC-WC spec IV mixture resulted in a stability value of 711.5 kg, a flow value of 3.48 mm, a porosity value of 16.077%, a density value of 2.016 gr/cm3 and Marshall Quotient value is 215.823 kg/mm ​​at Optimum Asphalt Content of 5.3%. The average ITS value is 319.024 KPa, the average UCS value is 6.982.237 KPa, and the average permeability coefficient is 7.14x10-4 cm/sec. Through the statistical method of T T-tests, it was found that the use of Mbelang cage aggregate for the AC-WC spec IV mixture did not change the stability, flow, I,TS, and UCS values.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to implement the Integrity Zone (ZI) initiative towards establishing a Corruption-Free Zone (WBK) within the Agribusiness Study Program of the Faculty of Agriculture at Samudra University. The primary issue addressed is the absence of ZI implementation, which poses a risk to transparency, accountability, and the quality of governance within the program. The methods employed include preliminary discussions, focus group discussions (FGDs), the provision of complaint boxes and online reporting platforms, seminars/workshops, the installation of informational banners (x-banners), and activity evaluations. The outcomes of the activity indicate a 26% increase in participants’ understanding of integrity values, the establishment of a complaint mechanism, and the formulation of a draft joint commitment to ZI. This initiative has had a positive impact on fostering a culture of integrity and enhancing the quality of public service. The success of the program demonstrates that collaborative and educational approaches are effective in promoting governance reform within higher education institutions.

Abstract

This community service initiative aims to enhance awareness and encourage active participation among the residents of Peunaga Cut Ujong Village, Meureubo Subdistrict, West Aceh Regency, in environmental conservation efforts through mangrove planting. Located in a coastal area vulnerable to erosion and exposed to air pollution due to coal-burning activities, this village faces significant environmental challenges. Employing an educational and participatory approach, the program involved raising awareness about the ecological functions of mangroves and conducting direct planting activities in a mangrove forest area approximately 100 meters from the shoreline. The outcomes of the initiative indicated a positive response from the community, demonstrated by increased environmental awareness and active involvement in conservation efforts. Mangrove planting is expected to function as a coastal protection barrier, an air pollutant absorber, and a potential site for ecotourism and aquaculture development. This initiative highlights the importance of synergy between academia, the local community, and the industrial sector in creating sustainable environmental solutions. Continuous evaluation and the replication of similar programs are strongly recommended to enhance their long-term impact.

Abstract

The city of Banda Aceh is experiencing rapid growth, especially in the transportation sector, as the population and daily mobility of people increase. This condition causes various traffic problems such as congestion, pollution, and safety. The Aceh Provincial Government through the Transportation Agency responded to this by providing the Trans Koetaradja Bus as an alternative to public transportation. This bus carries the concept of BRT-lite without a special lane, with the hope of reducing dependence on private vehicles. Although it is generally accepted, the use of Trans Koetaradja is still low due to limited route access and the absence of feeder transportation. This study aims to analyze the characteristics and travel behavior of Trans Koetaradja users and private vehicles in mandatory and non mandatory activities in Banda Aceh. The research was conducted in a quantitative descriptive manner using the revealed preference method with 400 respondents. The results showed that the majority of respondents were women aged 20–29 years old with a bachelor's education background and status as a student. The most dominant mode of transportation is motorcycles, used almost every day by respondents. The use of Trans Koetaradja is still low, with the majority of respondents only using it less than once a month. The average travel time to the bus stop is 2–4 minutes, and the dominant destination for mandatory activities is work, while for non mandatory activities is recreation. This underscores that the limited use of Trans Koetaradja is mainly due to access constraints, despite the presence of a well-defined potential user segment.

Abstract

This study provides an understanding of the advantages of reinforced concrete in the construction of multi-story buildings in Banda Aceh. The objective of this research is to improve the efficiency of constructing the Class I Immigration Office Building in Banda Aceh by replacing the main structural system from steel to reinforced concrete. This change was carried out in accordance with the SNI 2847:2019 standard, utilizing the ETABS application for the design and analysis process.The results show that the total building weight in the existing condition (steel structure) is 1,594,043.95 kg, while using reinforced concrete increases the weight to 2,631,222.38 kg. At portal 5-5, the differences in bending moment and shear force between the steel and reinforced concrete structures are significant, with values of -2.9559 kNm and -80.0447 kNm for bending moment, and 3.5657 kN and 29.1996 kN for shear force, respectively. Additionally, the maximum lateral displacement in both X and Y directions is lower in the reinforced concrete structure compared to the steel structure. The axial force at portal 5-5 also shows an increase from -492.0887 kN (steel structure) to -949.2849 kN (reinforced concrete structure). These findings indicate that the use of reinforced concrete provides better stability, capacity, and overall structural performance compared to the steel structure

Abstract

The earthquake and subsequent tsunami that struck Banda Aceh at the end of 2004 caused extensive damage to various infrastructures, including the Laboratory Building of the Public Works Department of Banda Aceh City. This study aims to evaluate the variation in concrete strength between columns that were submerged during the tsunami and those that remained unaffected. A non-destructive testing (NDT) method was employed, using a Concrete Hammer Test device to assess the condition of the concrete. The testing was conducted on first-floor columns, with each column section tested 12 times at intervals of 3 cm between points. The results indicate a significant reduction in compressive strength, with the most severe decline observed in column K.6.4, where a 57% strength loss was recorded due to porous concrete conditions. The smallest reduction was found in columns K.1.9 and K.6.5, both showing a 5% decrease, while column K.1.7 exhibited no detectable deterioration. Overall, the majority of columns experienced notable degradation in structural integrity, underscoring the necessity for further comprehensive evaluations to determine the building’s continued feasibility and safety for use.
