Abstract

A trailer is a brief description of a film and provides a 1 to 3 minute cinematic experience that displays images from the film to influence consumer behavior. This research was conducted to propose a conceptual model regarding affective, cognitive, and environmental responses to viral marketing, which are moderated by audience behavior, for the movie trailer of “Spiderman: Far from Home.” The film was released in July 2019 by Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). This study adopted the wheel of consumer analysis to bridge the research gap. An online survey was forwarded to 200 respondents using structured questionnaires through social media sites, such as Line, WhatsApp, Facebook, and e-mail. The data were then analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM). The results showed that the audience’s affective, cognitive, and environmental responses significantly influenced viral marketing. The results further indicated that the audience’s behavior was not a moderating variable, as the significance level was less than 0.05. The results can contribute to determining social media marketing strategies for promoting film trailers that are beneficial for companies, especially in Indonesia. Therefore, the companies can grow and become more competitive in the film industry. Although this study discusses viral marketing in the film industry, the results can also contribute to other industries, in order to increase the popularity of their products.

Abstract

Perempuan yang bekerja menyebabkan adanya perubahan baik dalam kehidupan keluarganya maupun kehidupan pribadi perempuan tersebut. Secara ekonomi, pasangan suami istri yang bekerja, atau biasanya disebut dengan istilah two workers family, menyebabkan peningkatan kesejahteraan hidup keluarga. konflik peran ganda yang seringkali dialami oleh perempuan adalah konflik keluarga-pekerjaan, dimana urusan-urusan domestik rumah tangga kerap mengganggu urusan pekerjaan. Hal ini berkaitan dengan budaya yang menganut prioritas utama laki-laki adalah pekerjaan sedangkan prioritas utama perempuan adalah rumah tangga. Tujuan kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini adalah meningkatkan pemahaman mengenai pentingnya kehidupan kerja dan rumah tangga yang seimbang, meningkatkan kemampuan dalam mengelola konflik pekerjaan dan keluarga, meningkatkan keseimbangan kehidupan kerja dan rumah tangga anggota Dharma Wanita Persatuan Kabupaten Mempawah yang juga bekerja di luar rumah. Metode pelaksanaan PKM ini adalah penyuluhan dirangkai dengan kegiatan diskusi terfokus (focus group discussion).

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the influence of organizational culture, emotional intelligence, and organizational learning on employee competence in the government of Gorontalo City. Data were collected from a sample of 134 government employees, and hypothesis testing was conducted to analyze the significance of the variables. The results indicated that all three factors, namely organizational culture, emotional intelligence, and organizational learning, significantly and positively influenced employee competence. The findings highlighted the importance of fostering a positive and inclusive organizational culture that motivates employees to enhance their competence. Emotional intelligence emerged as a crucial factor in self-motivation, resilience, and empathy, which contributed to improved competence. Additionally, organizational learning played a significant role in supporting continuous professional growth and the development of job-relevant competencies. The analysis of R-Square revealed that organizational culture, emotional intelligence, and organizational learning explained 73.8% of the variance in employee competence. However, it is important to acknowledge that other unexplored factors may also influence competence. These findings have important implications for the government of Gorontalo City. By prioritizing a positive organizational culture, nurturing emotional intelligence, and promoting organizational learning, the government can enhance employee competence, overall performance, and service delivery to the community. Future research should consider investigating additional factors to gain a more comprehensive understanding of competence in the government context. Implementing interventions and strategies to strengthen organizational culture, enhance emotional intelligence, and support continuous learning can further improve employee competence and contribute to the success of the government of Gorontalo City.

Abstract

Industri rokok merupakan salah satu industri yang dinamis. Beberapa perusahaan rokok dalam maupun luar negeri telah beroperasi di Indonesia, salah satunya PT. KT&G Indonesia. Industri rokok menjadi salah satu penyumbang pendapatan negara melalui pajak cukai hasil tembakau (CHT) yang bernilai fantastis. Pada tahun 2021 pendapatan negara melalui CHT mencapai lebih dari 160 triliun rupiah dan diprediksi naik seiring disetujuinya rencana menaikkan pajak CHT melalui Peraturan Menteri Keuangan (PMK) No. 191/2022 dan PMK 192/2022 sebesar rata-rata 10% oleh Menteri Keuangan berlaku pada tahun 2023. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis pengaruh Stres Kerja dan Lingkungan Kerja terhadap Kinerja Karyawan melalui Motivasi Kerja pada salesman di PT. KT&G Indonesia Kalimantan Barat. Jumlah responden dalam penelitian adalah 53 salesman di 4 kantor operasional yang tersebar di Kalimantan Barat, dengan menggunakan metode sensus sampling. Analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis jalur (path analysis). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa stres kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja dan motivasi salesman. Sedangkan lingkungan kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja salesman tetapi tidak berpengaruh pada motivasi kerja. Motivasi kerja sebagai variabel mediasi antara stres kerja dan kinerja salesman berpengaruh signifikan. Sedangkan motivasi kerja sebagai variabel mediasi antara variabel lingkungan kerja dan kinerja salesman tidak berpengaruh signifikan.

Abstract

This study explores the intricate relationships among employee development strategies, organizational culture, HRM technology, organizational trust , and employee engagement  at PT Tanjungpura Lintas Borneo. Through a sample of 60 employees, the research employs Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the SmartPLS software. The results reveal that effective employee development strategies significantly influence organizational trust and subsequent employee engagement. A positive organizational culture demonstrates a strong and significant impact on both trust and employee engagement. However, the utilization of HRM technology does not exhibit a statistically significant association with organizational trust and employee engagement at the current stage. This nuanced finding suggests the need for further exploration and optimization of HRM technology initiatives. The study underscores the complexity of organizational dynamics and advocates for a comprehensive approach to cultivate a workplace environment conducive to trust, engagement, and overall organizational success at PT Tanjungpura Lintas Borneo.

Abstract

Applying replacement value of goods and salary deductions as sanctions is part of the transactional leadership policy. This burdens employees, which makes them choose to leave their jobs. Therefore, work engagement is expected to mitigate this. This study investigates the impact of transactional leadership and workload on turnover intention, considering work engagement as a mediator. The population in this study were permanent employees of PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk Alfamart Retail Business Division in Kalimantan, with a sample size of 205 respondents. Data collection methods using a questionnaire with a Likert scale. The data analysis model uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and AMOS 24 statistical tools. The results of this study indicate a significant positive influence between transactional leadership and workload on turnover intention. Transactional leadership and workload variables also significantly positively affect work engagement. The mediation analysis results show the role of work engagement as a mediator in strengthening the relationship between transactional leadership and workload on turnover intention. This research is expected to prevent the increasing turnover in the retail business company PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk (Minimarket Alfamart).

Abstract

The banking industry is currently one of the most competitive industries. For this reason, a leadership style is needed that can increase employee engagement to achieve better company performance. The aim of this research is to ascertain the impact of servant leadership workers' job satisfaction and trust in their leaders as mediating variables. It is conducted at government-owned banks, namely, Bank BNI, Bank BRI, Bank BTN, and Bank Mandiri. Purposive sampling was the technique employed in this study, and the sample consisted of 273 individuals who worked for government-owned banks. This study employed structural equation modeling (SEM) with AMOS software as a data analysis technique. The study's findings demonstrate that: servant leadership influences job satisfaction significantly; job satisfaction influences work engagement significantly; Trust in Leader significantly influences work engagement; job satisfaction mediates the relationship between servant leadership and work engagement; and Trust in Leader mediates the relationship between servant leadership and work engagement. There is one rejected hypothesis, namely, that employee engagement at work is not significantly impacted by servant leadership.

Abstract

Pengadaan barang dan jasa merupakan kegiatan utama Pemerintah Kota Singkawang yang menghabiskan sebagian besar APBD Kota Singkawang, kinerja pengadaan barang dan jasa yang baik akan dapat dirasakan hasilnya oleh masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Kepemimpinan Dan Beban Kerja Terhadap Kinerja Pengadaan Barang Dan Jasa di Pemerintah Kota Singkawang Dengan Komitmen Organisasional Sebagai Variabel Intervening. Penelitian dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitaif, sedangkan sampel yang digunakan yakni sebanyak 100 orang berstatus sebagai Pejabat Pembuat Komitmen, Pejabat Pengadaan dan Pejabat Pelaksana Teknis Kegiatan pada Pemerintah Kota Singkawang. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah Partial Least Square dengan menggunakan software SmartPLS 3. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan kepemimpinan, beban kerja dan komitmen organisasional tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kinerja pengadaan barang dan jasa pada Pemerintah Kota Singkawang, kepemimpinan dan beban kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap komitmen organisasional pada Pemerintah Kota Singkawang, dan kepemimpinan dan beban kerja secara tidak langsung melalui komitmen organisasional sebagai variabel intervening tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kinerja pengadaan barang dan jasa pada Pemerintah Kota Singkawang.
