Abstract

Students in rural areas turned out to have bad behavior while at school. There is a shift of responsibility from parents to religious teachers regarding student behavior. Parents tend to submit their children's religion to school. Meanwhile, teachers do not have enough time to form Islamic characters in students. This study describes the strategies used by Islamic religious education teachers while outside of school. This paper is essential to reveal a lesson for other teachers who experience similar problems. The State Elementary School in Sindang Dataran sub-district, Rejang Lebong Regency, has been appointed as the location for data collection. The methods used in data collection are documentation, interviews, and questionnaires. The results of this study are six out of nine Islamic religious education teachers make teacher strategies to realize students with good morals outside the classroom; the average application of the criteria for verbal speech is 65.5%, and the application of the requirements for physical activity is an average of 27.3%, while the application of using written messages/pictures/videos is only an average of 7.3%; the success of realizing student akhlakul karimah has not been maximized, because family and community heredity influence it. This study also discusses oral speech, physical treatment, and teacher messages in realizing akhlakul karimah students' outside the classroom.

Abstract

This article is aimed to analyze the need for handling social conflict through the planting of tolerance values in multicultural societies that in line with statutory provisions. It is a socio-religious study that, to some extent, applies a legal approach. A library study was conducted by collecting data and information from textbooks, scientific journals, website contents. The legal analysis was based on principles and norms contained in legislation and regulations. It applies Miles and Huberman's interactive analysis model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The study suggested that planting tolerance values ??is a grand and noble concept that would become an organic part of Indonesia. Tolerance is functioned as a guardian, safeguard, peace-maker, and unifier communication and interaction to realize good relations between community members. Besides, the law on handling of social conflict has covered the mechanism to address this matter by means of conflict prevention, cessation of conflicts, and post-conflict recovery.

Abstract

This scientificwork outlines the obstacles facing pesantren education in improving quality academic people in the global-multicultural era. Pesantren, global currents can cause paradox or symptoms of counter-morality, and so does the pattern of life in the west, even greatly affect the moral decay, moral and human behavior. With this condition, the influence is very large on human life both physical and spiritual. Thus pesantren education faced various challenges with the development of education models in the era of globalization implemented by members of the community, such as system problems, human resource problems, curriculum development. Therefore, in an effort to improve quality academic humanity in global-multicultural era, pesantren have problems to explore all the resources they have, because influenced by pesantren education is less concern to the problem, human resource problem, strong influence of western culture in domination and imperialisation of information, as well as the current culture of globalization can lead to paradox or symptoms of counter-morality. With this problem, pesantren is time to devote all the power, effort and ability to always innovate, finding something new can help his life for the better. If the pesantren does not dig all his skills then he will be left behind by the ever-evolving era.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the model of character building of prospective marine transportation cadets in Malahayati Merchant Marine Polytechnic, Aceh, Indonesia. The research method used in this study was a qualitative method using a phenomenological research design. Through participatory action research, in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, the data were found, which Miles and Huberman's model used as data analysis. The data analysis process consisted of data reduction, data display, drawing conclusion/verification. The research result showed that character educational implementation of Merchant Marine Education in Aceh was conducted through (1) the instruction method, education, suggestion, persuasion, trusting, punishment, guidance and counseling, Habituation, group discussion, and organizational activities. The method implementation adjusted to the activities and educational cadet level starting from prospective cadet to senior cadet. (2) Method implementation intervention conducted through the hidden curriculum like moral knowing, moral feeling, moral action, and religiosity that manifests in five diversity dimensions: religious belief, religious practice,  religious feeling, religious knowledge, and religious effects. (3) Attitude nurture implementation conducted through local wisdom habituation that includes exemplary figures of leaders/coach/trainers/senior cadets, behavioral standards, and reflection studies. (4) Religious character educational implementation bears a resilient cadet profile who is smart, professional, skilled, and good. This research finding recommended the importance of religiosity and local wisdom in building the character of Hardiness.

Abstract

Masyarakat banyak yang tidak mengerti akan tatacara merawat, memandikan dan mengkafani serta menshalatkan jenazah diakarenakan tidak pernah belajar, tidak pernah membaca, tidak ada yang mengajari dan tidak mau belajar. Oleh karena itu kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dalam bentuk pendampingan ini sangat penting untuk dilaksanakan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan profesionalisme dan mutu masyarakat dalam menyelenggarakan kewajiban fardhu kipayah. Kegiatan ini menemukan adanya beberapa prosesi shalat jenazah yang berbeda dari kebiasaan, dimana posisi jenazah ketika dishalatkan sisi kakinya diarahkan ke arah kiblat. Kegiatan ini menghasilkan pendampingan dan buku saku penyelenggaraan jenazah.

Abstract

Ibu ditinjau secara fisik, dan mental sangatlah dekat dengan anaknya karena dari  mengandung, melahirkan, menyusui, dan mengasuh hingga dewasa, ini merupakan peran ibu. Oleh karenanya masa depan anak sangat bergantung kepada ibu. Namun tidak semua ibu menggiring masa depan anaknya ke arah yang baik, seperti beberapa kasus yang dapat didengar dan dilihat beberapa ibu menganiaya anaknya samapai meninggal, beberapa ibu menjual dan menelantarkan anaknya sehingga anaknya memiliki masa depan yang buruk.Hasil analisa latar belakang di atas maka tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan peran ibu terhadap masa depan anak”. Ruang lingkup penelitian terfokus pada peran ibu sebagai tenaga pendidik, sebagai penjaga fisik, memfasilitasi dana pendidikan dan keterampilan, dan sebagai teladan anak. Penelitian ini penelitian pustaka (liberay reseach) yaitu menggunakan bahan-bahan tertulis yang diambil dari literatur, hasil kajian berupa buku teks, surat kabar, hasil penelitian yang terkait dengan penelitian. Simpulan, peran ibu terhadap masa depan anak: (1) ibu sebagai tenaga pendidik, berperan membimbing dan mengevaluasi anaknya; (2) ibu sebagai penjaga fisik, ibu menjaga fisik anak baik, dalam kesehatan maupun penjagaan jangan sampai  kecelakaan; (3) ibu memfasilitasi dalam menyiapkan dana pendidikan dan keterampilan anak untuk masa depannya; dan (4) ibu sebagai teladan anaknya dalam beragama, berbicara, bertindak, dalam pengaturan uang, dan dalam menyayangi anaknya.

Abstract

Structural-based education is a significant challenge for elements of education in Indonesia. However, in the province of the Special Region of Yogyakarta, an alternative cultural approach strategy is applied during challenges from the structural model. This research uses the ethnographic method. The results showed that the quality of learning in research was based on structural learning strategies and value-based development efforts, which were then applied and applied in a learning culture (behavior, knowledge, and artefacts). These efforts are combined into a pattern of developing a learning culture and the pattern of gradual change, which also becomes a study. This research aims to bring up the concept of developing cultural learning strategies through values and practices while implementing structural educational policies. This study has limitations in the form of gaps in structural education problems that have not been confirmed, which are more inclined to the policy and political context, so the study requires a study pattern with a broader scope related to structural education problems that are still difficult to resolve, such as the development of equal access policies, education, and corruption.

Abstract

Play activities can invite children to explore, discover, and utilize objects around as a fun medium for children to develop aspects of their development. This opportunity through play should be given more to children because the benefits that children get greatly affect their development. Blocks provide opportunities for children to imagine, communicate, and work together. Children get the opportunity to represent ideas in form. building. Children through this construction game will learn solving problems, mathematics, science, and language.

Abstract

Kurikulum pasaca sarajana PAUD belum mencerminkan kepada kebutuhan pengguna sebagai outcome kurikulum itu sendiri, terbukti kurikulum mengutamakan teori, sedangkan pengguna membutuhkan tenaga yang memiliki keahlian/skil untuk menjadi tenaga professional PAUD, pengguna membutuhkan penguasaan manajemen, proses pembelajaran , dan menguasi sain perkembangan anak usia dini baik secara teori maupun praktik. karenanya memerlukan alokasi khusus dalam kurikulum PAUD, sehingga dibutuhkan model kurikulum yang dapat memenuhi kebutuhan pengguna/alumni. Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk: (1) mendiskripsikan kebutuhan kurikulum ditinjau dari input, proses, output, dan outcome; dan (2) Menyusun model kurikulum program studi PAUD pascasarjana berbasis Mutu. Jenis penelitian, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan diskriptif kualitatif. Informan dalam penelitian ini yaitu ketua program studi pascasarjana PAUD UPI Bandung, Ketua program studi pascasarjana UIN Yogyakarta, dan ketua program pascasarjana UIN Bengkulu. Pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Data dianalisis dengan cara pengumpulan data, reduksi data, display data, dan verifikasi/simpulan. Hasil penelitian berupa: (1) diskripsi kebutuhan kurikulum ditinjau dari input, proses, output, dan outcome ; dan (2) Model Kurikulum Program Studi PAUD Pascasarjana berbasis Mutu.
