Abstract

The set-up aims to find out the value of the shift that occurs while the patient is undergoing the irradiation process on the X-axis (right-left), Y-axis (caudal-cranial), and Z-axis (anterior-posterior). The procedure for collecting research data is by making direct observations and being involved in measuring set-up shifts. The data used amounted to 20 nasopharyngeal cancer patients. Set-up shift measurement data were taken sequentially from fractions 1-33 for each patient using 4 and 9 points locks masks. Analysis of statistical test data using SPSS version 25, to determine the effect of using 4 and 9 points locks masks on shifts in nasopharyngeal cancer irradiation set-up patients with fraction group: Group 1 (fraction 1), Group 2 (Fraction 2 – 15), Group 3 (16-33)  using the Wilcoxon test because the normality test results were not fulfilled. If the p-value ≤ 0.05, there is an effect of using 4 and 9 points locks mask on shifts, while for p-value ≥ 0.05, there is no effect of using 4 and 9 points locks mask on set-up shifts in nasopharyngeal cancer irradiation set-up. The results of the shift in the set-up of 4 and 9 points lock irradiation vertically in the lateral, longitudinal, and vertical directions tend to be positive (left, caudal, posterior). There was no effect of all fraction groups using 4 and 9 points locks on the shift in nasopharyngeal cancer irradiation set-up p-value> 0.05.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to describe the difficulties of junior high school students in solving closed and open mathematical problems and to describe the causes of junior high school students experiencing these difficulties. As many as 25 students of class VIII-D from one of the State Junior High Schools in Bandung Regency were used as research samples. Data was collected by using test techniques, interviews, and document studies. The stages of data analysis carried out are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study showed that students had difficulty in converting the problem into a mathematical model, determining the required decision variables, calculating multiplication and division operations, and determining more than one answer in solving open problems. The difficulties experienced by these students are caused by the following: students feel that the problem given is something new, students are less careful in understanding the problems given, students still do not master the material, students are less careful in performing arithmetic operations, and students not accustomed to solving problems in the form of problem solving and open questions.

Abstract

This study analyzes the contribution of human resource (HRM) management to improving teacher performance at Pancaran Berkat Kindergarten and identifies factors that influence the effectiveness of HRM utilization in supporting learning quality. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach and is designed as a case study. Data were collected through comprehensive interviews, participant observation, and documentation studies, with four teachers and the principal as key informants. The study shows that HRM tasks such as recruitment, training, performance appraisal, and incentives have been used regularly and have had a positive impact on improving teacher competence, discipline, and responsibility. Many factors influence how HRM functions in a school, including organizational culture, principal support, and teachers' own desires. These results indicate that effective HRM is not only administratively successful but also strategically successful in creating a positive work environment focused on improving the quality of early childhood education. The contribution of this study lies in its empirical understanding of how HRM practices in early childhood education institutions can serve as a model for developing strategies to continuously improve the quality of educators.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Intertrochanteric fractures, characterized by breaks in the proximal femur outside the joint capsule, present significant rehabilitation challenges, especially in older adult with comorbidities. These fractures disrupt the attachment points for major muscles and can lead to complications if not promptly and effectively treated. This case report explores the complex clinical scenario of a 58-year-old female patient with a history of Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and tuberculosis, who suffered a closed intertrochanteric fracture dextra. The complications were exacerbated by neurogenic bowel disorder (NBD) due to prolonged immobility. The patient presented to the emergency department with severe hip pain following a fall at home, where she had been bedridden for two weeks. During this time, she developed a grade 2 decubitus ulcer. Despite her painful condition, initial treatment was delayed, leading to severe complications. A subsequent chest X-ray revealed infiltration along with atelectasis of the left superior lobe and left pleural effusion indicative of exacerbated pulmonary tuberculosis. Diagnostic imaging also identified an obstructive ileus. Immediate surgical intervention was indicated to manage the fracture. In addition to surgical care, the patient required specialized nursing care to address her acute and chronic medical needs, including blood glucose monitoring and management of her pulmonary condition. Prior to her surgery, Swadesh massage therapy was employed, resulting in minor relief indicated by the passage of a small amount of hard, mucous-like feces. Effective management of closed intertrochanteric fractures in patients with significant comorbidities requires a multidisciplinary approach. Early surgical intervention, combined with tailored nursing care and continuous monitoring of associated complications, is crucial for restoring functionality and preventing further health deterioration. Keywords: Intertrochanteric Fracture, Neurogenic Bowel Disorder, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Pulmonary Tuberculosis, Multidisciplinary Care.
