Abstract

The 84% dissatisfaction rate of e-commerce customers in Indonesia is an important indicator for e-commerce managers to improve service performance and build lasting relationships with online consumers. Various methods can be used by companies to evaluate service quality, and one of the popular ones is E-SERVQUAL. This research uses a qualitative method with a systematic literature review, it is hoped that business practitioners can gain insight into the factors that affect Servqual reliability and customer satisfaction in e-commerce. This research uses the Google Scholar platform to obtain literature, resulting in 7 relevant scientific articles. Converging literature findings over the past five years confirm that improvements in e-service quality consistently result in increased levels of consumer satisfaction with different e-commerce platforms. Online business has played an important role in digital marketing, yet many companies have yet to maximise its potential. With the continuous development in the competitive e-commerce industry, service quality is the key to winning over customers. Companies must be responsive to digital trends and utilise new technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Although this study has provided an overview of e-servqual and customer satisfaction in Indonesian e-commerce, future quantitative research would be beneficial to complement the findings and provide deeper insights with quantitative research with methods such as surveys or experiments recommended to examine cause-and-effect relationships and measure variables numerically. Future research could explore less common e-commerce business models, such as crowdfunding platforms, social e-commerce, or specialised online marketplaces.

Abstract

Ulidang Village, part of the Tameroddo Sub-district, has excellent potential in the fisheries and marine sector, although it still faces significant economic challenges. The potential of seaweed as a marine resource that has yet to be fully utilized is the focus of this activity. The main objective is to provide comprehensive counseling on the potential of seaweed, including cultivation methods, nutritional content, and business management aspects. This activity's implementation stage starts with planning, program implementation, and evaluation. The research results showed that socialization efforts, including explanations of seaweed potential, business management, and farming profit simulations, have provided the community with a deep understanding. The pretest and post-test evaluations illustrated the improvement in participants' understanding after the socialization activities. Thus, the development of seaweed farming in Ulidang Village can be a solution to improve community welfare, create jobs, and care for the marine environment. Strategic steps include strong partnerships, community empowerment, and adoption of innovations to ensure the sustainability of seaweed farming at the local and national levels.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and apply a Sustainability Balanced Scorecard (SBSC) model as a tool for measuring and evaluating sustainability performance in the cocoa industry of West Sulawesi. The urgency of this research is driven by the significant challenges confronting the cocoa industry, including social (labor exploitation), environmental (deforestation), and economic (supply chain opacity) issues, coupled with the absence of a structured accountability mechanism to objectively measure sustainability strategies. This study employs a mixed-method approach with a case study strategy on two companies representing the industry spectrum: a mission-driven Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) and a compliance-driven B2B exporter. Primary data were collected through in-depth interviews, while secondary data were analyzed from company financial reports. The findings reveal that company performance measurement can be centered on an Adaptive SBSC framework that integrates five perspectives: Financial, Customer, Internal Business Process, Learning and Growth, and a combined Environmental and Social perspective. This framework offers a two-tier indicator system (Basic and Advanced Performance Measurement) applicable to companies of varying scales and business models, serving as a flexible strategic management tool. This model contributes practically to actors in the cocoa industry and theoretically enriches the SBSC literature within the agro-industrial context of developing regions.

Abstract

Coconut is a strategic commodity with high economic potential in West Sulawesi Province, yet its development and utilization remain suboptimal. This study aims to identify and strengthen the investment potential of coconut as a leading sector in the region. A participatory and systematic mapping approach was employed, combining secondary and primary data from planning documents, official statistics, field observations, and focus group discussions. Analytical methods included location quotient, shift share, and Klassen typology to assess the economic significance of coconut across regencies. The results indicate that coconut is a basic and growing commodity, particularly in Polewali Mandar Regency, with strong contributions to regional income. The development of coconut processing industries, especially coconut shell briquettes, shows high prospects due to abundant yet underutilized raw materials. Financial feasibility analysis confirms the viability of investment projects (NPV of IDR 24.94 billion, IRR 29%, Payback Period 3.9 years). This investment not only offers economic returns but also creates employment, increases farmers’ income, and promotes environmentally friendly energy. Strengthening synergies among government, business actors, and communities is recommended to support targeted and sustainable investment policies in coconut commodity development.
