Abstract

Background: The COVID-19 vaccination has been recommended by WHO and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia. Vaccination is carried out by pregnant women starting from the age of 13 weeks. Vaccines are expected to reduce the risk of pregnant women exposed to COVID-19. However, participation in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine in Manggarai Regency is still low. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that influence the willingness to vaccinate against COVID-19 in pregnant women in Manggarai Regency Subjects and Method: This was an analytic observational study with a cross-sectional design approach. This study was conducted in Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, from January to May 2022. The sample in this study was 65 pregnant women who had never been vaccinated against COVID-19 with purposive sampling technique. The dependent variable in this study is the willingness of the vaccine. The independent variables are knowledge about COVID-19, knowledge about COVID-19 vaccination, belief, safety, effectiveness and side effects of COVID-19. Data collection using questionnaires and data processing using logistic regression analysis Results: Vaccination willingness was strongly influenced by mother's knowledge about COVID-19 in pregnancy (b=0.046; 95% CI= 0.003 to 0.73; p= 0.031), belief in the COVID-19 vaccine (b= 0.044; CI 95%= 0.003 to 0.757; p= 0.169), vaccination safety (b= 0.048; 95% CI= 0.004 to 0.639; p= 0.022). there was no significant effect, namely knowledge of vaccines (b= 0.195; 95% CI = 0.019 to 2.007; p=0.169) and vaccine effectiveness (b= 0.470; 95% CI= 0.048 to 0.4578; p=0.516). Conclusion: Vaccination willingness was strongly influenced by mother's knowledge about COVID-19 in pregnancy, belief in the COVID-19 vaccine and vaccination safety. Abstract

Background: The selection of therapy is a challenging issue to overcome. The selected therapy must be based on the condition of breast cancer patients and has advantages such as increasing life expectancy, being able to overcome the symptoms and complaints of breast cancer patients and improving the quality of life. This study aimed to explore the experiences of people with breast cancer regarding the reasons for choosing therapy, namely complementary and conventional therapies.Methods: This study was qualitative research with a descriptive phenomenological study approach. Participants obtained using purposive sampling techniques were included until the data was saturated. Research data was collected through in-depth interviews conducted in a semi-structured manner. The thematic analysis used in this study consisted of several stages using the Colaizzi method.Results: This study illustrated that complementary and conventional therapies were beneficial to cancer treatment. The three themes from the analysis results included the benefits of complementary and conventional therapies, access to therapy and treatment costs. The choice of therapy depended on available access and costs for breast cancer treatment.Conclusion: People with breast cancer in remote areas choose complementary therapies, such as herbal medicine, meditation, reflexology, and acupuncture as the first choice and conventional therapies, such as surgery and chemotherapy as alternative therapies. This is because the choice of therapy also depends on the ease of access to treatment and the availability of costs for breast cancer patients.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Kehamilan merupakan kodrat yang melekat pada wanita yang sah secara hukum sesuai ajaran agama dan adat istiadat masing – masing. Saat masa kehamilan   terjadi peningkatan metabolisme energi, sehingga kebutuhan energi dan zat gizi terus  meningkat dan harus dipenuhi baik untuk pertumbuhan maupun perkembangan  janin dan kesehatan Ibu. Anemia gizi besi merupakan salah satu dari empat masalah gizi utama di Indonesia yang sering terjadi pada ibu hamil. Ibu hamil dikatakan  menderita anemia jika kadar Hb < 11g / dl  dan  paling banyak terjadi pada trimester I dan III. Solusi yang disarankan oleh tim untuk menanggulangi anemia pada ibu hamil adalah dengan melakukan fortifikasi pada makanan yang mengandung zat besi. Makanan yang mengandung sumber zat besi dan protein adalah daun kelor (Moringa oleifera L). Daun kelor  memiliki kandungan vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin B, kalsium, kalium, zat besi dan protein dalam jumlah yang besar. Tujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu hamil dalam mencegah anemia dengan memanfaatkan tepung daun kelor. Dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah melakukan pelatihan pembuatan cookies (biskuit)  dengan bahan dasar tepung daun kelor. Sebelum penyuluhan, dilakukan pre test yang menunjukkan hasil 15 orang (60%) berpengetahuan kurang, 7 orang (28%) memiliki pengetahuan cukup, dan 3 orang (12%) memiliki pengetahuan baik. Setelah penyuluhan diperoleh hasil post test menunjukkan bahwa 22 orang (88%) memiliki pengetahuan baik, 2 orang (8%) memiliki pengetahuan cukup, dan 1 orang (4%) memiliki pengetahuan kurang. Terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan ibu hamil setelah diberikan pelatihan. Kata kunci : Biskuit, Tepung Daun Kelor, Anemia, Ibu Hamil  ABSTRACT Pregnancy is a nature inherent in women which is legally valid according to the teachings of their respective religions and customs. During pregnancy there is an increase in energy metabolism, so that the need for energy and nutrients continues to increase and must be met for both the growth and development of the fetus and the mother's health. Iron deficiency anemia is one of the four main nutritional problems in Indonesia which often occurs in pregnant women. Pregnant women are said to be suffering from anemia if the Hb level is <11g/dl and this mostly occurs in the first and third trimesters. The solution suggested by the team to overcome anemia in pregnant women is to fortify foods that contain iron. Food that contains a source of iron and protein is Moringa leaves (Moringa oleifera L). Moringa leaves contain large amounts of vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin B, calcium, potassium, iron and protein. Objective to increase the knowledge of pregnant women in preventing anemia by using Moringa leaf flour. In this service activity is training in making cookies (biscuits) using Moringa leaf flour as the basic ingredient. Before counseling, a pre-test was carried out which showed that 15 people (60%) had poor knowledge, 7 people (28%) had sufficient knowledge, and 3 people (12%) had good knowledge. After counseling, the results of the post test showed that 22 people (88%) had good knowledge, 2 people (8%) had sufficient knowledge, and 1 person (4%) had poor knowledge. Abstract

Pepaya mengandung banyak nutrisi yang bermanfaat bagi kesehatan, terutama bagi ibu hamil dan menyusui.kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengedukasi masyarakat terkait pentingnya asi eksklusif bagi bayi. di mana ibu perlu mendukung proses produksi ASI yang baik, salah satunya dengan mengkonsumsi makanan yang mengandung banyak vitamin yang di peroleh dari buah pepaya. kegiatan di lakukan dengan metode penyuluhan dengan sasaran utama ibu menyusui , kegiatan di awali dengan menjelaskan materi kemudian di lanjutkan dengan pemberian puding pepaya kepada ibu-ibu. ibu sangat antusias dalam kegiatan ini,. kegiatan ini di harakan dapat menambah pengetahuan ibu terkait pentingnya ASI eksklusif bagi bayi.

Abstract

The postpartum period is a period of recovery for the mother after childbirth which is very important to support the success of exclusive breastfeeding, as breast milk is the best source of nutrition that is most important to the baby during the first six months of life. However, many breastfeeding mothers stop breastfeeding early because they feel that milk production is insufficient, which is partly due to a lack of nutrient intake, especially essential proteins and vitamins such as those contained in mung beans. This activity includes the preparation stage (licensing, coordination, and preparation of materials), implementation (pre-test, counseling, demonstration videos, and post-test), and evaluation carried out through discussions with midwives and participants. The pre-test results showed that 25% of respondents had insufficient knowledge, 50% were adequate, and 25% were good. Meanwhile, the post-test results showed a significant increase, with 62.5% of respondents in the category of good knowledge. This indicates that educational interventions through counseling and direct practice are effective in increasing breastfeeding mothers' understanding of the importance of nutrition to support breast milk production. A community-based educational approach that involves hands-on practice and is tailored to the local context has been shown to be effective in increasing breastfeeding mothers' awareness and knowledge of the importance of nutritious intake, particularly mung bean consumption, to support the success of exclusive breastfeeding. Green beans are scientifically proven to contain protein, iron, and vitamin B1 that help stimulate the hormones prolactin and oxytocin, which support breast milk production, so they can be considered natural galactagogo.

Abstract

Correct breastfeeding position is one of the key elements for successful breastfeeding. However, many postpartum mothers face challenges in breastfeeding due to lack of understanding and skills regarding correct breastfeeding techniques. This study aims to evaluate the effect of counseling on breastfeeding positions in improving postpartum mothers' knowledge. This study used a quantitative design with a pre-experimental approach through the same group before and after the intervention. The sample consisted of 20 postpartum mothers who were selected purposively in the Cancar Health Center work area. The tool used in this study was a multiple-choice questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The results of the pre-test showed that 65% of respondents had low knowledge, 25% were sufficient, and 10% were good. After being given counseling, there was an increase in knowledge, with 70% of respondents in the good category, 25% were sufficient, and only 5% were lacking. This finding indicates that counseling significantly improves postpartum mothers' knowledge regarding breastfeeding positions. Counseling that is carried out face-to-face and equipped with demonstrations can increase mothers' insight, thus contributing to successful breastfeeding.

Abstract

This community service program aims to broaden the insight of postpartum mothers regarding the importance of exclusive breastfeeding. This event was carried out through a seminar held on April 14, 2025 in Tenda Village, involving 15 postpartum mothers as participants. The method used was face-to-face counseling using leaflets containing information on the benefits, techniques for giving, and the significance of exclusive breastfeeding during the first six months of the baby’s life. The results of this activity showed an increase in understanding of postpartum mothers regarding the importance of exclusive breastfeeding after counseling. This activity is expected to be able to encourage better exclusive breastfeeding practices in the community and have a positive effect on the health of mothers and babies.

Abstract

This community service aims to increase breast milk production in breastfeeding mothers through the innovation of making pudding from natural ingredients, namely red beans and katuk leaf extract. Increasing breast milk production is very important for the success of exclusive breastfeeding during the first six months of a baby's life, which supports optimal growth and development of the baby. The approach taken includes counseling and practice of making pudding that combines the high nutritional content of red beans and katuk leaves, which are traditionally known to have the effect of increasing breast milk volume. The sampling technique using pre-test and post-test showed an increase in knowledge and risk of successful breastfeeding in postpartum mothers who participated in this activity. The results showed that this local ingredient-based pudding innovation was effective in helping to increase breast milk production, supporting the sustainability of exclusive breastfeeding, and has the potential to be a natural solution that is easy to apply in the community.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Stunting is one of the nutritional problems that is being addressed. Stunting has negative impact on growth and development in toddlers so that it must be resolved immediately must be resolved immediately. The cause of stunting in toddlers is malnutrition for a long period of time a long period of time. Many factors influence the incidence of stuntingone of which is parenting. Parenting patterns are closely related with the fulfillment of child nutrition, for example preparing food and also in providing stimulus to children. providing stimulus to children. To determine the effect of parenting patterns on the incidence of stunting in toddlers. The method used is quantitative with a cross sectional approach. The sample in the study amounted to 79 toddlers. Statistical test used is chi square. The results showed that there was an influence of parenting patterns on the incidence of stunting in toddlers with a p value of 0.03 <0.05. on the incidence of stunting in toddlers with a p value of 0.03 <0.05. Parenting patterns parenting plays an important role in determining the nutritional status of a toddler. Penyebab kejadian stunting pada balita adalah kurang gizi dalam jangka waktu yang cukup lama. Banyak factor yang mempengaruhi kejadian stunting salah sarunya adalah pola asuh orangtua. Pola asuh orang tua berhubungan erat dengan pemenuhan gizi anak yaitu misalnya menyiapkan makanan dan juga dalam memberikan stimulus kepada anak. Untuk mengetahui pengaruh pola asuh orangtua terhadap kejadian stunting pada balita. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel dalam penelitian berjumlah 79 balita. Uji statistic yang digunakan adalah chi square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh pola asuh orangtua terhadap kejadian stunting pada balita dengan nilai p valuae 0,03 < 0,05. Pola asuh orang tua berperan penting dalam menentukan status gizi seorang balita. Sehingga pola asuh yang diterapkan adalah pola asuh yang baik maka pertumbuhan dan perkembangan balita lebih optimal Kata Kunci: Pola Asuh, Stunting, Balita

Abstract

ABSTRACT Background: Pregnancy is a normal process and must be given good attention so as not to cause complications to the mother and fetus. During pregnancy there are several changes both anatomically and physiologically. These physical changes cause discomfort or physical complaints during pregnancy. Situation analysis: From the results of interviews conducted with the team during a visit to the hamlets of Rai Cehet and Rai Waso, it was found that there are many pregnant women who think that the discomfort that occurs is abnormal and assumes that it can lead to complications for both the mother and the fetus. . This causes anxiety for the mother and family` Problem: Many pregnant women in the hamlets of Rai Cehet and Rai Waso do not understand how to deal with the discomfort that occurs during pregnancy. Solution: Providing health education to pregnant women about how to deal with discomfort during pregnancy Conclusion: After being given health education to pregnant women in the hamlets of Rai Cehet and Rai Waso, they have knowledge about the physiological changes that occur during pregnancy and how to overcome them.
