Abstract

Metode pembelajaran peer tutor merupakan suatu metode pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh peserta didik dengan teman sebayanya untuk meningkatkan motiasi mereka, terutama pada teknik SADARI (pemeriksaan payudara sendiri). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh peer tutor terhadap motivasi SADARI (pemeriksaan payudara sendiri).Desain dalam penelitian menggunakan quasy eksperimental dengan pendekatan control group pra-post test design. Jumlah populasi 40 siswa, teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu simple random sampling dan diperoleh sampel sebanyak 12 sampel yang terbagi atas dua kelompok yaitu kelompok kontrol (n=6) dan perlakuan (n=6). Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi kuisioner yang hasilnya dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik paired sample t-Test dan independent sample t-Test α= 0,05. Hasil pengukuran motivasi pre intervensi pada kelompok  perlakuan terdapat 83% dengan rentang skor (17 – 23) dan 17% dan rentang skor (24 – 30). Pada kelompok kontrol terdapat 50% dengan rentang skor (24 – 30) dan 50% dengan rentang skor (17 – 23). Data motivasi setelah dilaksanakan peer tutor pada kelompok perlakuan seluruh responden (100%) memiliki rentang skor (24 – 30) dan pada kelompok kontrol hampir seluruh dari responden (83%) memiliki rentang skor (24 – 30).Hasil analisis menunjukkan ρ value= 0,002 < α= 5% = 0,05 yang berarti ada pengaruh metode peer tutor terhadap motivasi SADARI (pemeriksaan payudara sendiri). Bedasarkan hasil penelitian, disarankan untuk menggunakan aspek pengukuran motivasi secara obyektif dengan menggunakan wawancara maupun data observasi. Kata kunci : Peer Tutor, Motivasi SADARI, Remaja Putri     Abstract  Peer tutor learning method is a method of learning that conducted  by learners with their peers to improve their motivation, especially in technique of SADARI (breast self-examination). The objective of this research was to know the influence of peer tutor toward motivation of SADARI (pemeriksaan payudara sendiri). The research design used control group pra test-post test design. The population amounted to 40 students, Technique of sampling used random sampling and obtained sample amounted to 12 students that consisted of two groups, control (n=6)dan treatment (n=6). The research instrument used observation sheet of questionnaire then the result analyzed using statistical test of paired sample t-Test and independent sample t-Test α= 0,05. Before being implemented peer tutor in the pre test treatment group contained 83% with an (17 – 23) score range of 17% with a (24 – 30) score range. In the control group there were 50% with the range of scores of (24 – 30) and 50% with a score range (17 – 23). Thereafter peer tutor and conducted post test in the treatment group (100%) of all respondents had a score range of (24 – 30) late in the almost group almost all of respondents (83%) had a score range (24 – 30). The analysis showed ρ value = 0,002 <α = 5% = 0.05, which means that there ws the influence of the peer tutors on the motivation of SADARI (breast self-examination). Abstract

Hypertension is one of the cardiovascular disorders characterized by increased blood pressure. One non-pharmacological effort to reduce increased blood pressure can be done through physical exercise. This study was to identify the effect of Isometric Exercise intervention on systolic and diastolic blood pressure in hypertensive patients. The Pre-Experimental Study became the design of this study involving 32 respondents from a population of 104 hypertensive patients through Purposive Sampling. Isometric Exercise intervention was given 4 times in 1 week with a duration of 15 minutes. Blood pressure variables were measured with a tensimeter and the data were analyzed by the Independent T-Test with α 0.05. The results showed a decrease in systolic of 5.875 mmHg (from a mean of 143.125 to 137.125) and diastolic of 3.25 mmHg (from a mean of 91.625 to 88.375). p value = 0.014 (<0.05), meaning that there was a difference in systolic and diastolic blood pressure pre and post test. Isometric exercise can increase stimulation of the sympathetic nervous system so that blood circulation becomes smooth through the mechanism of venous vasodilation causing a decrease in cardiac output and total peripheral resistance, followed by a decrease in blood pressure. Isometric Exercise intervention can be carried out as an effort to manage blood pressure in hypertension patients through a physical exercise approach.

Abstract

Covid-19 hingga saat ini masih menjadi pandemi yang melanda hampir seluruh dunia sejak tahun 2019. Prevalensi Covid-19 tidak hanya terjadi pada usia dewasa, namun pada usia remajapun angka kejadiannya cukup tinggi, yakni seperdelapan dari jumlah kasus yang ditemukan. Penyakit ini berdampak mayor pada sistem pernafasan yang dapat menimbulkan kegawatan pada sistem pernafasan maupun pada sistem tubuh lainnya sehingga pengetahuan tentang pencegahan kegawatan penyakit ini menjadi esensial untuk mereduksi angka mortalitas. Permasalahan yang dihadapai oleh mitra yakni belum mengetahui manajemen pencegahan kegawatan sistem pernafasan pada Covid-19. Upaya peningkatan pengetahuan dapat dilakukan dengan pelatihan secara virtual oleh teman sebaya sebagai upaya preventif kegawatan sistem pernafasan akibat Covid-19 pada remaja. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan remaja dalam manajemen pencegahan kegawatan Covid-19 melalui pelatihan breathing exercise secara virtual dengan melibatkan peer tutor. Metode Pelaksanaan kegiatan yang digunakan pengabdi adalah edukasi, pelatihan dan pemberdayaan. Mitra yang terlibat dalam kegiatan ini adalah 30 remaja di SMK Pemuda Papar. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan pada bulan April 2021 selama 1 bulan. Kegiatan ini terdiri dari rangkaian kegiatan yakni pembentukan peer tutor, edukasi manajemen pencegahan kegawatan Covid-19 dan  pelatihan breating exercise kepada peer tutor, serta sosialisasi materi edukasi dan pelatihan oleh peer tutor kepada teman sebayanya. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan terjadinya peningkatan pengetahuan remaja dalam manajemen pencegahan kegawatan Covid-19, yakni dari sebagian besar (60%) dalam kategori cukup  meningkat menjadi hampir seluruhnya (90%) dalam kategori baik. Penyampaian informasi melalui pelatihan yang dikemas dalam bentuk virtual dapat diakses dimanapun dan dapat menarik minat remaja yang notabene dengan sistem pembelajaran jarak jauh sering menghabiskan waktu dengan gadget masing-masing. Selain itu, pelatihan dengan melibatkan teman sebaya sebagai tutor membuat remaja lebih terbuka dalam berdiskusi.  Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dengan metode pelatihan secara virtual dengan melibatkan teman sebaya sebagai bentuk pemberdayaan dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu model dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat.

Abstract

Adanya keterlambatan penanganan stroke dikarenakan kemampuan deteksi dini stroke masyarakat yang masih kurang. Hal ini berkaitan dengan penyakit hipertensi yang merupakan faktor risiko terjadinya stroke 6 kali lebih tinggi. Keluarga sebagai orang yang paling dekat dengan pasien riwayat hipertensi memiliki peran yang sangat besar dalam upaya pencegahan terjadinya keparahan akibat penyakit stroke. Oleh karenanya, pengenalan deteksi dini penyakit stroke pada keluarga serta pemberdayaan keluarga yang merawat pasien dengan hipertensi penting untuk dilakukan. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini untuk meningkatkan pemahaman keluarga serta memberdayakan keluarga dalam deteksi dini stroke pada keluarga yang merawat pasien dengan hipertensi. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 6-22 September 2021 di Desa Menang, Kecamatan Pagu, Kabupaten Kediri terhadap 16 peserta. Metode yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman keluarga dengan pemberian pendidikan kesehatan kepada keluarga tentang deteksi dini stroke yang dilakukan secara door to door (karena pandemi Covid-19) dengan media pamflet. Alat ukur untuk menilai pemahaman keluarga berupa lembar observasi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini yaitu sebanyak 75% peserta yang awalnya tidak mampu melakukan deteksi dini stroke ditunjukkan dari hasil pre-test kegiatan menggunakan lembar observasi tentang cara deteksi dini stroke. Setelah dilakukan pendidikan kesehatan berupa penyuluhan tentang cara deteksi dini stroke, sebanyak 87,5% mampu melakukan bagaimana cara deteksi dini stroke. Hal ini ditunjukkan dari hasil post-test. Peran serta keluarga sangatlah penting dalam upaya pencegahan terjadinya keparahan pada penyakit stroke terutama stroke yang diakibatkan karena adanya riwayat hipertensi. Oleh karena itu, diharapkan keluarga mampu menerapkan deteksi dini stroke pada anggota keluarga dengan hipertensi yang berisiko tinggi mengalami kondisi penyakit stroke.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The problem of landslide risk that has a significant impact and the importance of preparedness efforts, it is very necessary to increase public awareness and perception to participate in landslide disaster planning. The public must understand the emergency plan to overcome the risk of landslides that can threaten safety, so it is necessary to provide an Emergency Planning simulation. This study was intended to explore the effect of emergency preparedness planning on community’s ability to prepare for and respond to landslide disasters. This research with Preexperimental design involved 84 respondents as the sample size through purposive sampling technique with inclusion criteria of youth groups aged 17-35 years. In this study, Emergency Planning simulation intervention was given twice with a duration of 170 minutes for each face-to-face meeting. The results showed an increase in community preparedness in the good category, which initially increased from 33.3% to 53.5% and a decrease in the less prepared category from 14.3% to 3.6%. The results of the Wilcoxon test data analysis obtained P value: 0.001 (<a: 0.05) indicating an influence of emergency preparedness planning on community’s ability to prepare for and respond to landslide disasters. Emergency planning is very important to be known and implemented by the community to be better prepared to face landslide-prone emergencies. Emergency planning simulation can increase public knowledge and awareness of the importance of preparedness in facing landslides, so as to minimize the number of victims and losses that will be experienced. It is recommended that the application of Emergency planning can be expanded to the entire community so as to increase joint preparedness Keywords; youth groups; simulation; emergency planning;readiness.

Abstract

Introduction: Patient loyalty serves as an important indicator in evaluating the overall quality of nursing services within hospital settings. Loyalty reflects a crucial determinant of hospital competitiveness and sustainability. This study aims to analyze the relationship between nurse responsiveness, empathy, and patient loyalty in the hospital service environment. Method: This quantitative cross-sectional study involved 62 patients as respondents using accidental sampling techniques. Patient in the ward patients admitted to the ward during January. Data were collected through questionnaires to measure nurses' responsiveness and empathy through patient perceptions, as well as the Patient Loyalty Questionnaire (PLQ), which includes dimensions of attitudinal loyalty, behavioral loyalty, word of mouth, and recommendation intentions. Data were analyzed using Spearman correlation and Ordinal Logistic Regression. Results: Patient perceptions of nurse responsiveness showed that more than half (66.1%) were in the good category. Similarly, patient perceptions of nurse empathy showed that more than half (71%) were in the good category. Some patients (54.9%) had high loyalty. Analysis of the relationship between responsiveness and loyalty (p=0.001 and r=0.69) and between empathy and loyalty (p=0.001 and r=0.59). Both results indicate that responsiveness and empathy are related to loyalty with the strength of the relationship in the strong category Conclusions: Nurses' responsiveness and empathy are important factors influencing patient loyalty. Hospital management needs to develop training programs to strengthen nurses' skills in responding to patient needs quickly and effectively, as well as work systems that support nurses' quick, responsive, and timely responses in interacting with patients, so that patients feel satisfied and become loyal.

Abstract

Background and Aim:. Every individual is important to know the types of their blood. Most adolesence are still unfamiliar with their blood type because of the lack of readiness of adolescents in examining blood type due to insufficient information. Education with games and video can provide information related to blood type. The aim of this study was determine the effect of education through a combination of Teams Games Tournament (TGT) and video animation on the readiness of blood types examination in adolescents.  Method : Pre-experimental became the design in this study involving 40 respondents through purposive sampling. Readiness of blood types examination variable was measured using a questionnaire. Data  analyzed by Wilcoxon test. Results: before being given an intervention, almost half of adolescents (45%) were not ready to check blood type and after being given an intervention, most (57.5%) were very ready to check blood type.  Conclusion: Education through a combination of TGT and video animation give a good effect on readiness of blood types examination in adolescents. This intervention can affect the readiness of adolescents through increasing knowledge so that they have a positive attitude and become more prepared in carrying out blood group tests. In TGT and animation videos, adolescents will use the five senses more so that it is easier for the brain to understand and generates a stimulus in the form of an attitude of readiness in examining blood type. Education with game and video-based media can be a method of education for adolescents.

Abstract

One type of emergency problem that can cause sudden death is usually caused by cardiac arrest. Basic life support training provided to PMR cadres can improve the knowledge and skills of the younger generation in providing basic life support, especially in cases of cardiac arrest. The purpose of this community service activity is to optimize the role of PMR cadres so that they are able to educate about basic life support in cases of cardiac arrest through demonstrations and community service participants learn about how to provide basic life support in cases of cardiac arrest. The method of implementing this activity is carried out through lecture and demonstration methods involving 6 PMR cadres and 20 student participants from SMK YP 17 Pare. This activity was carried out on April 10-12, 2025. The implementation of the activity consisted of 2 sessions. The first session was empowering PMR cadres through cadre training activities on basic life support in cases of cardiac arrest and the second session was delivering material by trained cadres which was delivered to community service participants. The results of this community service activity were that trained cadres were able to deliver the material well, there was an increase in knowledge and ability of participants in providing basic life support in cases of cardiac arrest after demonstration education was carried out by trained cadres. Education through empowerment of cadres as a way to optimize the role of the younger generation can improve students' understanding of basic life support in cardiac arrest. As agents of change and possessing significant social influence, the younger generation is expected to be able to educate more people through creative and relevant methods.

Abstract

Introduction: The adolescent age group is closely associated with high levels of physical activity, putting them at risk for injury, including bleeding. Therefore, proper first aid literacy and skills are essential through education and training. This community service activity aims to improve first aid literacy and psychomotor skills in bleeding among adolescents through education and training on PEC (Pressure-Elevation-Cover) techniques. Methods: The activity was carried out in July 2025 at Senior High School 1 Puncu involving 35 students of 5 students per class from 7 classes. The activity began with interactive education related to the concept of bleeding for 60 minutes and continued with training with a simulation approach using simple equipment on how to provide first aid for bleeding for 120 minutes with pressure techniques, and covering. Pre and post data for literacy were measured using questionnaires and observation sheets for psychomotor abilities. Results: An increase in the average literacy score (from 60 to 85) and psychomotor skills (most of the sufficient category became the majority in the good category). The results of statistical analysis using the Paired t-Test and Wilcoxon also showed a significant difference in literacy and skills pre and post with p = 0.001. Conclusion: Education and training using the PEC technique simulation method are effective in improving literacy and psychomotor skills in first aid for bleeding in adolescents. The simulation method provides hands-on experience in quickly and accurately performing first aid for bleeding. Similar activities can be conducted periodically with a broader target audience.

Abstract

Abstrak   Masalah kesehatan yang terjadi di sekolah salah satunya adalah cedera pada system muskuloskeletal. Fenomena trauma pada sistem muskuloskeletal identik dengan aktivitas fisik yang tinggi, seperti berolahraga dan membawa beban berat. Hal ini disebabkan kebiasaan siswa yang tidak serius dalam melakukan pemanasan, tidak berhati-hati saat berolahraga dan kurangnya informasi tentang manajemen pencegahan dan penanganan pada cedera muskuloskeletal.  Kegiatan pengabdian Masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kemampuan manajemen pencegahan dan penanganan cedera muskuloskeletal pada PMR SMAN 1 Kandangan melalui video dan demonstrasi. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan terdiri dari tiga tahapan yakni pemilihan kader, pelatihan kader dan pemberdayaan kader (sosialisasi ke anggota PMR). Penyampaian edukasi menggunakan video dan demonstrasi. Sasaran kegiatan sebanyak 23 siswa terdiri dari 3 kader PMR dan 20 anggota PMR. Instrument pengabdian masyarakat menggunakan lembar observasi kemampuan manajemen pencegahan dan penanganan pada cedera musculoskeletal. Berdasarkan hasil pre test dan post test, didapatkan kenaikan rata-rata skor nilai kemampuan pada seluruh kader (dari 65 menjadi 98,6). Kenaikan rata-rata skor nilai juga terjadi pada seluruh anggota PMR (dari 47,5 menjadi 88,5). Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan edukasi dan pelatihan dengan pendekatan pemberdayaan kader melalui video dan demonstrasi dapat meningkatkan kemampuan anggota PMR dalam manajemen pencegahan dan penanganan cedera musculoskeletal. Materi yang disampaikan oleh teman sebaya (kader yang telah mendapatkan pelatihan sebelumnya) dapat lebih dipahami oleh anggota PMR. Selain itu dengan metode video (melihat gambar dan mendengar penjelasan) dan demonstrasi, semua peserta mempunyai kesempatan untuk mempraktekkan kembali sehingga lebih memahami materi pelatihan. Pemberdayaan dapat menjadi salah satu pendekatan dalam health education pada kelompok remaja dan video-demonstrasi dapat menjadi metode dalam penyampaiannya. This is due to students' habits of not being serious about warming up, not being careful when exercising and a lack of information about preventative management and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. This community service activity aims to improve management skills for the prevention and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries at PMR SMAN 1 Kandangan through videos and demonstrations. The activity implementation method consists of three stages, namely cadre selection, cadre training and cadre empowerment (socialization to PMR members). Delivery of education using videos and demonstrations. The target of the activity was 23 students consisting of 3 PMR cadres and 20 PMR members. The community service instrument uses an observation sheet on management skills for prevention and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. Based on the results of the pre-test and post-test, an increase in the average ability score for all cadres was obtained (from 65 to 98.6). An increase in the average score also occurred for all PMR members (from 47.5 to 88.5). These results show that education and training activities with a cadre empowerment approach through videos and demonstrations can improve the abilities of PMR members in the management of prevention and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. Material presented by peers (cadres who have received previous training) can be better understood by PMR members. Apart from that, with the video method (seeing pictures and hearing explanations) and demonstrations, all participants have the opportunity to practice again so they can better understand the training material.
