Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

The law on regional governance has been regulated in the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 23 of 2014, which includes the direction for local government administration to accelerate the welfare of the community through improved services, empowerment, community participation, and increased regional competitiveness. One of the drivers in enhancing the competitiveness of a region is investment and labor. A study aimed to determine the influence of Government Expenditure, Labor, Exports, and Domestic and Foreign Investment on Economic Growth in the Yogyakarta Province from 2001 to 2022. The research used panel data regression analysis with the SPSS program. The results showed that the Labor and Foreign Investment variables significantly affect the Regional Gross Domestic Product (PDRB), while the Domestic Investment variable does not significantly affect the PDRB. This is because domestic investment in the Yogyakarta region is focused on capital-intensive industries, which tend to rely on machinery in their production processes and do not absorb much labor.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the correlation between the tourism sector and regional income in the city of Palangkaraya. Data collection was carried out through a quantitative approach using data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Ministry of Finance, sources such as e-books, and so on. The way to analyze it is to look at trends and carry out multiple linear regression calculations. The findings from the study show that, from 2018 to 2022, the potential of the tourism sector will fluctuate in influencing regional income in the city of Palangkaraya. This research found that the number of tourists and tourist attractions does not have a big impact on regional income, but the existence of travel agencies turns out to have quite a big influence on the regional income of the city of Palangkaraya.

Abstract

This research explores the potential of a sustainable fisheries sector in Sukamara Regency, Central Kalimantan, which is rich in fisheries resources, both freshwater and marine. This study identified the potential for freshwater fish production of 10,000 tons annually and marine fish of 8,000 tons yearly, with superior species such as snakehead fish, baung, catfish, snapper, grouper, and tuna. Although the fishing sector has an essential role in the local economy, unsustainable fishing practices have led to overfishing, environmental degradation, infrastructure problems, and limited technological knowledge. This research emphasizes the importance of sustainable fisheries practices through ecosystem-based management, the use of environmentally friendly technology, and education and training programs to increase the capacity of fishermen. The economic impact shows an increase in the average income of fishermen by 25%, while the social impact includes an increase in the welfare of coastal communities by 20%. Environmental impacts include the restoration of mangrove and coral reef ecosystems with increased area and cover of live coral. The main challenges include overfishing, environmental degradation, lack of infrastructure, and limited technological knowledge. Proposed strategies to overcome these challenges include strengthening policies and regulations, improving infrastructure, education and training, multi-stakeholder collaboration, and research and development. By implementing this strategy, the potential of the sustainable fisheries sector in Sukamara can be optimized, providing significant economic, social, and environmental benefits and becoming a model for other regions in sustainable natural resource management.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of religious values, social pressure, and product awareness in the ethical consumption decisions of Muslim and non-Muslim communities in Palangka Raya concerning products associated with Israel. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the research involves in-depth interviews with respondents from both communities. The findings indicate that ethical consumption decisions among Muslims are influenced by a combination of religious values and social pressure. For them, the decision to boycott certain products reflects both religious beliefs and social solidarity. In contrast, the non-Muslim community demonstrates a more pragmatic approach to consumption decisions, which is primarily based on economic factors such as price and product quality. Social media plays a significant role in disseminating information and reinforcing solidarity among Muslims, whereas the non-Muslim community tends to be more selective in the information they consider on this issue. This study contributes to the understanding of how religious values and social pressures can shape ethical consumption behavior within a diverse religious society.

Abstract

Sustainable development in Indonesia is increasingly important to address complex environmental and social challenges. The goal of this development is to address contemporary requirements without compromising the prospects of future generations. Indonesia has adopted the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a framework, but its achievement faces various challenges, such as regional inequality and lack of coordination between stakeholders. Collaboration Collaborative interactions between government entities, community institutions, and the private sector are essential to ensure this success. Green Sukuk has emerged as an innovative financial instrument that supports environmentally friendly projects and can attract more investors. Despite the positive response, challenges in understanding and regulation still exist. In Central Kalimantan, the issuance of Green Sukuk can fund green projects, but also faces problems of understanding among local stakeholders and regulations that are not yet supportive. Overall, the issuance of Green Sukuk has the potential to increase economic progress and generate new job opportunities. However, it is important to ensure that the projects financed are truly sustainable. Research shows the need for a clear regulatory framework and public education so that the potential of Green Sukuk can be maximized in supporting sustainable development in Indonesia. The method used in this study is qualitative with a Netnography approach and SWOT analysis. Netnography helps researchers understand the social and cultural context that influences people's attitudes towards green sukuk, while LNA SWOT provides an overview of internal and external factors that have the potential to influence the success of sukuk issuance. The results of the study are the potential for Green Sukuk issuance in Central Kalimantan, indicating that this province has abundant natural resources and a policy of commitment to sustainable development which will then increase the opportunity for the ijtihad process to begin immediately, providing a great opportunity to develop a green economy. Although focusing on infrastructure, education, health, and the economy in 2024 is a strategic step, challenges such as the lack of public understanding of Green Sukuk and limited financial infrastructure need to be addressed. Therefore, cooperation between the government, private sector, and the community is very important to create an ecosystem that supports the success of Green Sukuk issuance.

Abstract

Abstract

The underground economy, often referred to as the informal economy, encompasses various economic activities that are unrecorded in formal economic systems and not reported to the government. These activities frequently operate outside legal frameworks or exist within regulatory gray areas, including drug trafficking, tax evasion, and prostitution. The underground economy continues to grow, particularly in rapidly expanding cities. In Palangka Raya, the capital of Central Kalimantan Province, this phenomenon has become significant, with prostitution standing out as a prominent sector. This study investigates the potential revenue lost due to prostitution activities in Palangka Raya, where practices, both offline and online, generate income for those involved but remain untaxed. Despite efforts to reduce such activities, prostitution persists in some areas, both in former red-light locations and covertly through digital platforms. This situation poses not only social and security risks for the community but also results in lost potential revenue that could otherwise support local development initiatives.
