Abstract

This community service aims to encourage fish farming groups by making snakehead fish feed that has economic value. The method of implementing this service was through socialization and training. The partners in community service activities were the Mina Jaya Abadi Fish Cultivation Group (Pokdakan) in Peresak Village West Lombok Regency. The evaluation was carried out by giving a pretest and posttest, which then been analyzed descriptively. The results of this community service activity were increasing the understanding and skills of partners regarding the use of yards, nutrition, and content of snakehead fish, and how to cultivate and make snakehead fish feed. In addition, partners also understood the opportunities for Snakehead fish for post-Covid-19 entrepreneurs. Based on the results of the activities that have been carried out, the PkM team also assisted with tools for making fish feed which could reduce production costs for buying commercial fish feed and use alternative feeds.

Abstract

This Community Service program aims to increase the knowledge and skills of ITe Universitas Islam Al-Azhar MSME group members in making rock melon chips using a Dehydrator. The training was conducted through several stages: planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. The participants for this service were the university's business technology incubator MSME group consisting of rock melon farmers and chip entrepreneurs, with 35 participants. The activities resulted in the participants' understanding of making rock melon chips using the Dehydrator tool could increase after the training, as well as understanding regarding the packaging of fruit chip products that were durable and long-lasting.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase the understanding and skills of community members in utilizing livestock waste for sustainable food sources to handle stunting in Gelangsar Village, West Lombok Regency. The method of implementing this activity was through KOSABANGSA program outreach, training, and mentoring. The evaluation instrument for this activity used an environmental observation sheet and assesses the participation and activeness of participants during the activity. The results of this service activity showed that the community has the ability to process cowshed waste (solid) into 40 bags of compost, create a sustainable food house area using polybags in 8 groups spread throughout the village, and one KRPL point on land with an area of around 250 m2, and the types of plants were spinach, tomatoes, eggplant, chilies, mustard greens, lettuce, basil, long beans, family medicinal plants, and others. Guidance and assistance need to be continued considering that the community was very enthusiastic about being able to overcome stunting in Gelangsar village and at the same time wants to become an organic vegetable producer.

Abstract

This community service aims to improve the ability of people with disabilities to use disability aids as an effort to improve their quality of life. The implementation method of this activity included data collection, training, and evaluation. Partners of this activity included Foster Cadres and People with Disabilities in Taman Ayu Village, West Lombok Regency. The results of this community service activity showed that participants with disabilities had the ability to use aids consisting of wheelchairs, canes, and hearing aids. In addition, information was provided regarding the place and how to care for these aids. It is hope that with the ability to use these aids, the quality of life of people with disabilities will improve.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to empower the community by utilizing local food sources processed from taro tubers and Etawa goat's milk to overcome stunting in Genggelang Village, North Lombok Regency. The implementation method of this service included socialization, training, and mentoring. The evaluation instrument for this activity used a pre-test and post-test, which were then analyzed descriptively. The results of this service showed that the community increased knowledge and skills to process the potential of local village food into processed taro flour products, cookies, processed Etawa goat's milk products, and vegetable nuggets. The potential of these products could overcome the problem of stunting and improve the community's economy.

Abstract

This Community Service aims to improve the knowledge and skills of the members of the "Batu Beleq" farmer group in processing Palm Water into Packaged Drinks with Economical Value. The method of implementing this service used training through the stages of survey, socialization, and practice. The participants of this service were the Palm Farmer group in Gelangsar Village, West Lombok Regency with a total of 30 participants, involving students of the Faculty of Science and Agriculture. The results of this service showed the increased knowledge and skills of participants in processing palm water using packaging tools and UV light sterilization without additional chemicals. In addition, participants had the ability to package palm water products that are durable and long lasting.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the capacity of coffee farmer groups in post-harvest processing and professional coffee quality assessment, as well as to improve farmers’ understanding of coffee flavor profiles in order to increase their competitiveness in the market. The program was implemented through training and mentoring activities involving 35 coffee farmers from the “Muda Maju Tanjung Biru” group. Program evaluation was conducted using questionnaires and analyzed with a non-parametric statistical test (McNemar’s test). The results indicate that the training was effective in improving the partners’ knowledge and skills, as evidenced by a 79% increase in participants’ average knowledge scores after the program. In the cupping score training, 40% of participants (14 farmers) successfully achieved basic scoring competency. Overall, this community service program has proven to enhance farmers’ professionalism in coffee post-harvest processing and quality evaluation.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of members of the Karang Taruna youth group and local fishing groups through the application of appropriate technology in fisheries product diversification in Sambik Elen Village, North Lombok Regency. The program was implemented using a participatory approach through training in the production of fish floss and fish nuggets, as well as the use of an oil-draining spinner and product packaging techniques. Evaluation was conducted at the beginning and end of the program using pre-test and post-test instruments. The results indicate a significant improvement in partners’ knowledge and skills, reaching 92%, in processing fish catches into higher-value and longer-lasting products. The program emphasizes financial self-reliance and entrepreneurship by optimizing local potential to create sustainable flagship products, while simultaneously reducing dependence on raw fish sales and minimizing economic losses among fishermen.
