Abstract

Abstract

Hopelessness is considered an attitude that is prohibited by Islamic teachings, because Allah Swt. always provides a way out with the best solutions for his servants. One of the basic sources of Islamic teachings that provides solutions is theQuran. Therefore, this research aims to know and understand how to overcome despair. This study examines the relevant verses of the Quran, with the problem of despair and its solution. The Quran and thebook of tafsir byBuya Hamka with thetitle Al Azhar as the first reference material, using the descriptive qualitative content analysis method. Solutions explained in the Quran are explored to overcome the attitude of despair. The results of this study highlight a number of issues, chief among them being (1) the reference of hopelessness in the Koran, where the term "ya'isa" is used thirteen times in nine surahs in distinct contexts. Ya'isa occurs twice, Ya'isu appears three times, and Istaiasa appears once. Furthermore, there are single mentions of istaiasu, ya'iasu, taiasu, ya'uusun, ya'uusan, ya'isna, and yai'asi. (2) Allah Swt. forbids mankind to have a desperate attitude as stated in the Quran surah Az Zumar verse 53 and QS. The prohibition set by Allah Swt. but not just a barrier, but also keeps his people away from something that is dangerous or can harm him that humans may not realize. (3) Solutions to overcome despair by being patient, reading the Qur'an, optimism and doing good deeds

Abstract

This study identifies the development of sharia economic epistemology, particularly in terms of the lack of integration of Western epistemological theories, especially Kantian epistemology, into the framework of sharia economics. The purpose of this study is to explore how the reinterpretation of Kantian epistemology can enrich the theory and practice of sharia economics, as well as identify the potential for methodological improvements in sharia economic research. The research method used is qualitative design with a literature study approach and conceptual analysis, which involves thematic and content analysis of relevant academic literature. The results show that the integration of Kantian epistemology can provide a new dimension in sharia economic theory by introducing a priori category and cognitive structure, as well as improving research methodologies with a more reflective and holistic approach. The application of the Kantian principle can also improve sharia economic practices in the global market and support the formation of more adaptive policies. Recommendations for further research include empirical testing of the application of Kantian epistemology in various sectors of the sharia economy, as well as the development of a policy framework based on Kantian principles to improve flexibility and responsiveness to global changes.

Abstract

The study of the ethical and aesthetic values of Islamic boarding school students is an interesting topic to analyze from an axiological perspective, considering the close relationship between moral and ethical values in their lives. This study aims to identify the ethical values instilled in Islamic boarding school students and how these values can be applied in their daily lives. The method used in this study is descriptive-analytical with a literature study approach, which involves collecting data from books, scientific articles, and other sources relevant to the issue of ethical and aesthetic values of Islamic boarding school students in the context of axiology. The results of the study show three main points: First, the concept of axiology emphasizes that value can be interpreted as something that has utility or goodness. In philosophy, value theory is closely related to ethical and aesthetic issues. Second, related to the ethics of Islamic boarding school students, there are two main approaches, namely teleology and deontology. The teleological approach focuses on the consequences of actions; for example, if a student violates the rules of the boarding school, then he will receive consequences in the form of takzir. Meanwhile, the deontological theory emphasizes that the good or bad of a behavior is not only judged from its impact, but also from the obligation to comply with existing Islamic boarding school regulations. Third, in terms of the aesthetics of students, there are two categories, namely expressive and functional. Expressive aesthetics reflect the inner expression of an artist through works of art, such as chanting sholawat. On the other hand, functional aesthetics emphasizes that crafts or art are not only seen from the aspect of their function, but also from their beauty, such as the appearance of a clean and tidy student room.

Abstract

Analyzing the nature of meaning always becomes a crucial issue in a religious phenomenon. The need for a compatible approach to the problem of diverse social phenomena is important to discuss. This study aims to analyze a methodological offer adapted from a phenomenologist, Edmund Husserl. This library research traced and analyzed data from various written sources such as books, journal articles, etc. The results of this study indicate that: (1) as a research method, phenomenology describes the meaning of life experiences for some individuals about a concept or phenomenon, and explores the structure of consciousness in human experience; (2) Husserl's phenomenology mainly focuses on the concept of reduction, namely a process of setting aside all assumptions and prejudices about phenomena; and (3) phenomenological researchers have to be able to go deep into the religious experience of each individual to the final stage of the transcendental consciousness appears in researchers. Thus, researchers have to build closeness with informants.
