Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk bahan ajar cetak pada mata kuliah fisika matematika pokok bahasan bilangan kompleks di Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika Universitas Sriwijaya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian peengembangan yang menggunakan model pengembangan Rowntree, yang terdiri dari tiga tahap, yaitu tahap perencanaan, tahap pengembangan, dan tahap evaluasi. Pada tahap evaluasi, menggunakan teknik evaluasi formatif Tessmer yang terdiri dari 5 tahap, yaitu self evaluation, expert review, one-to-one evaluation, small group evaluation, dan field test. Pada pengembangan ini, tahap evaluasi hanya sampai pada tahap small group evaluation.  Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar validasi ahli dan angket tanggapan mahasiswa. Berdasarkan hasil expert review diperoleh rata-rata hasil nilai validitas sebesar 83,26% dengan kategori sangat valid.  Pada tahap one-to-one evaluation didapatkan rata-rata hasil penilaian angket tanggapan mahasiswa terhadap penggunaan bahan ajar ini,  sebesar 89,52%  dengan kategori yaitu sangat praktis. Pada tahap uji coba small group evaluation, rata-rata hasil penilaian angket tanggapan mahasiswa terhadap penggunaan bahan ajar ini sebesar 85,87% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Hasil data tersebut menunjukkan bahan ajar yang dikembangkan sudah tergolong valid dan praktis, sehingga layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar tambahan pada mata kuliah fisika matematika di Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika Universitas Sriwijaya.

Abstract

Research has been conducted to determine the effect of the inquiry learning model on the pictorial riddle type on the understanding of the physics concepts of eighth grade students of Palembang State Junior High School 7. Riddlel pictorial type inquiry is a learning model to develop student motivation and participation from small / large group discussions in the form of images that are used as a source of discussion so that they can find answers to a problem in question. The method used in this study is the method of Quasi Experiment, with the design of the matching only post-test control group design and cluster random sampling retrieval technique divided into two classes, namely class VIII.11 as the experimental class which received learning treatment using the pictorial type inquiry learning model riddle, and class VIII.9 students as control classes who were treated using inquiry learning models. The collection technique uses tests. The analysis technique used in this study is the t-test of the right side. The results of the calculation of data analysis obtained the average value of the experimental class 81 and the mean of the control class 75.16, with a significant level of α = 0.05 obtained ttable ie 1.67 based on the calculation results there is a significant influence of the pictorial riddle type learning model towards understanding the physics concept of eighth grade students of Palembang State Junior High School 7.

Abstract

This research aims to identify physics concepts in South Sumatera's local wisdom. South Sumatera is one of the provinces in Indonesia with a very high level of diversity. The heterogeneous geographical and socio-cultural conditions in South Sumatera provide a strong background for linking the local wisdom of the area with physics learning. The research was carried out using observations, interviews, and documentation. The process revealed a connection between various local wisdoms in South Sumatera and various concepts in physics. Some of the identified local wisdoms include typical South Sumatera food, the environment around the Musi River, and typical South Sumatera buildings. The barges adhere to Archimedes' Law principles. Temperature and phase changes are closely related to the pempek making process. Making smoked fish uses the concepts of temperature and heat. Making salted fish utilizes the concept of heat transfer by radiation and evaporation. The process of making Kemplang closely aligns with the concepts of heat transfer, evaporation, and expansion. This local wisdom, when used as an object in physics learning, is highly suitable and relevant to the Merdeka Curriculum. In this way, students will more easily understand the learning they are doing.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan peserta didik terhadap LKPD berbasis problem based learning dalam pembelajaran IPA khususnya fisika setelah diberlakukannya kurikulum merdeka. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara kepada 2 orang guru IPA kelas VII fase D SMP dan penyebaran angket kepada 68 peserta didik kelas VII fase D SMP. Hasil dari wawancara didapatkan bahwa guru belum pernah menggunakan LKPD berbasis problem based learning dalam proses pembelajaran. Selain itu, kemampuan peserta didik berdasarkan hasil belajar masih perlu ditingkatkan karena peserta didik sulit memahami materi terutama pada soal perhitungan. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar yang digunakan guru saat ini hanya buku paket. Sebanyak 92,7% peserta didik tertarik menggunakan LKPD berbasis PBL. LKPD berbasis problem based learning dapat menjadi salah satu bahan ajar yang dapat dikembangkan guna menunjang proses pembelajaran dan memaksimalkan kegiatan pembelajaran.

Abstract

Keterampilan berliterasi bagi guru IPA dibutuhkan agar terampil memfasilitasi pengembangan literasi siswa. Kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan bertujuan meningkatkan kemampuaan guru IPA SMP di Kabupaten Muaraenim dalam menyusun soal-soal literasi sains berbasis Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTs). Peserta kegiatan adalah guru yang tergabung dalam musyawarah guru mata pelajaran IPA Kabupaten Muaraenim. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam bentuk pelatihan selama 3 hari dilanjutkan dengan tugas mandiri. Kemampuan atau pemahaman guru terhadap penyusunan soal-soal (asesmen) dan literasi sains dikumpulkan melalui pretest dan posttest. Akhir kegiatan peserta memberikan penilaiam terhadap penyelenggaraan pelatihan yang telah diselenggarakan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan pemahaman guru terhadap penyusunan soal-soal dan literasi sains dengan capaian N-gain 88,7% dan guru memberikan penilaian sangat baik terhadap pemyelenggaraan kegiatan penyusunan soal-soal literasi sains berbasis HOTs. Simpulan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini bahwa pelatihan penyusunan soal-soal literasi sains telah mampu meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam menyusun perangkat asesmen yang berliterasi.

Abstract

This research aims to enhance students' argumentation skills at the junior high school level by implementing science learning based on scientific literacy. This research uses a quasi-experimental design with a quantitative descriptive method. The instruments used were (1) an essay test with an instrument in the form of scientific argumentation description questions with as many as six items and (2) an interview with the teacher about the science learning process in the classroom. To measure students' argumentation skills refer to the Toulmin Argumentation Pattern (TAP) argumentation skills indicators. This research used a sample of one of the junior high schools in Muara Enim District. The result shows student's argumentation skills are still in level 1 with 58,1% as a weak category, level 2 with 30,95 % as a weak category, and level 3 with 10,95%. The teacher through interview sessions explains that the students' argumentation skills are lacking because they are affected by low confidence and nervousness. When learners are asked, learners give short answers which cannot provide the right sentence to explain something Learners are accustomed to using local language in expressing opinions and have not been able to express argumentation orally in the form of organized sentences. Based on these findings, further research needs to be done on the application of appropriate learning models that can train students' argumentation skills.

Abstract

This research was carried out to find out the dynamics of climate change in the Bangka Belitung Islands, by utilizing BMKG observer station data at Depati Meteorological Station, starting in 1981 until 2022 that the official obtained from the BMKG website online. This research was conducted at the Education laboratory of FKIP Physics University of Sriwijaya. The research method used is secondary data research with a quantitative approach. Data analysis was used using the RClimDex application with the Expert Team on Climate Change Detection and Indices (ETCCDI) rules. Trend analysis was carried out with non-pithelmetry statistical tests Man-Kendall and Sens tests. The temperature indexes experience significant trends, which indicates that the longer the temperature in the Bangka Belitung Islands will increase.

Abstract

LKPD Materi Gerak dan Gaya pada konteks permainan tradisional untuk siswa kelas VII SMP telah dikembangkan menggunakan model pengembangan Rowntree yang terdiri dari tiga tahapan utama yaitu perencanaan, pengembangan, dan evaluasi. Tahap evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan evaluasi formatif Tessmer hingga tahap small group evaluation tanpa field test. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa LKPD yang dikembangkan sangat valid berdasarkan tiga aspek utama, yaitu aspek isi dengan persentase 94,4%, aspek kebahasaan 94,1%, dan aspek desain 98,57%. Dari segi kepraktisan, LKPD ini juga sangat praktis dengan persentase kepraktisan sebesar 94,4% pada tahap one-to-one evaluation dan 93,11% pada tahap small group evaluation. Dengan hasil validasi dan kepraktisan tersebut, LKPD ini dinyatakan layak untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPA. Penggunaan permainan tradisional dalam LKPD membantu peserta didik memahami konsep gerak dan gaya melalui pengalaman belajar yang lebih konkret dan kontekstual. Selain itu, pendekatan ini juga berkontribusi dalam melestarikan budaya lokal dengan mengenalkan kembali permainan tradisional kepada generasi muda. Dengan demikian, pengembangan LKPD berbasis permainan tradisional ini dapat menjadi inovasi dalam pembelajaran IPA yang lebih interaktif dan bermakna bagi siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan konsep fisika, khususnya Hukum Newton, dalam kearifan lokal Perahu Bidar di Palembang. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, melalui studi literatur dan dokumentasi. Dokumentasi dilakukan selama perlombaan Perahu Bidar di Sungai Musi, Palembang, pada 17 Agustus 2023, yang mencakup foto, video, dan catatan observasi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa tradisi Perahu Bidar menggambarkan penerapan ketiga Hukum Newton secara konkret. Hukum Newton I terlihat pada keseimbangan gaya gravitasi dan gaya apung yang menjaga perahu tetap diam. Hukum Newton II dijelaskan melalui hubungan antara gaya dorong pendayung dan percepatan perahu, sementara Hukum Newton III terlihat pada gaya aksi-reaksi antara dayung dan air. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Perahu Bidar dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran kontekstual yang relevan dan menarik, membantu siswa memahami fisika secara konkret, sekaligus melestarikan budaya lokal.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a valid and practical PIAAC Framework-based Learning E-Module on global warming material for senior high school. This E-Module is designed not only to convey knowledge about global warming, but also to train literacy, numeracy, and problem solving which are very important in the 21st century. This study used the development research approach by following the flow of the Rowntree Development model and using Tessmer's formative evaluation stages, namely self-evaluation, expert review, one-to-one evaluation, and small group evaluation. The evaluation results show that the E-Module obtained a validity score of 97.96% from the expert, which is included in the very valid category. In addition, the results of one-to-one evaluation and small group evaluation showed a score of 91% and 90.77%, which is included in the very practical category. This research is expected to make a positive contribution in learning about global warming and increasing students' awareness of environmental issues, as well as providing flexible learning alternatives that can be accessed through digital devices.
