Abstract

The learning process of Mathematic in a conventional way took place in classroom was dominated by a teacher and gave less opportunity for the students to be more active in the learning process. Problem Based Learning by using Authentic Assessment is one of the alternatives to improve students’ activity in solving problems. This is a classroom action research. This research is focused on the improvement of students in problem solving; and improve the students’ activity. The instrument in this research consists of test in solving problem in Equation and Quadratic Function. Data Processing is done to find out the improvement of problem solving ability, students’ activity and teachers’ ability in managing teaching learning process. The result of the research shows: (1) The application of problem based learning by using authentic assessment improves the problem solving ability of mathematics. On 1st cycle, it is found 62.5% from the students has the ability of problem solving in the average of moderate. On 2nd cycle 85% of the students gets the average of moderate. (2) It is concluded that the students’ problem solving ability and the level of students’ activity are improve.

Abstract

Kesehatan mental merupakan elemen penting dalam mendukung kehidupan sehat dan sejahtera, terutama di kalangan generasi Z yang menghadapi berbagai tantangan sosial, ekonomi, dan teknologi. Generasi Z, yang lahir antara tahun 1995 hingga 2010, dikenal sebagai generasi yang dekat dengan teknologi digital namun juga rentan terhadap gangguan kesehatan mental seperti depresi, kecemasan, dan stres. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran kesehatan mental dalam meningkatkan produktivitas generasi Z. Pendekatan ini menggabungkan analisis literatur dan data empiris untuk memahami dampak kesehatan mental terhadap kemampuan generasi Z dalam menjalani kehidupan produktif dan sejahtera. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kesehatan mental yang baik berkontribusi pada peningkatan kemampuan individu untuk mengelola tekanan, mengambil keputusan yang bijak, dan beradaptasi dengan perubahan. Sebaliknya, gangguan kesehatan mental dapat menurunkan produktivitas, meningkatkan risiko drop-out akademik, serta memengaruhi hubungan sosial. Faktor seperti stigma terhadap gangguan mental, kurangnya akses layanan kesehatan jiwa, dan eksposur terhadap tekanan digital menjadi hambatan utama. Oleh karena itu, upaya kolaboratif antara pemerintah, institusi pendidikan, keluarga, dan komunitas diperlukan untuk menyediakan dukungan promotif, preventif, kuratif, dan rehabilitatif. Dengan pendekatan yang holistik, generasi Z dapat menjadi individu yang lebih sehat secara mental, produktif, dan berkontribusi pada pembangunan bangsa.

Abstract

Permasalahan rendahnya rasa percaya diri dan sikap sosial di kalangan siswa sekolah menengah menjadi salah satu faktor penghambat dalam perkembangan potensi akademik maupun non-akademik mereka. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan rasa percaya diri dan sikap sosial siswa melalui penerapan metode hypnoterapi. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah siswa kelas VIII di SMP Swasta husni Thamrin Medan. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan terdiri dari observasi awal, pelatihan dan pelaksanaan hypnoterapi, serta evaluasi akhir. Teknik hypnoterapi yang digunakan berbasis pendekatan sugesti positif yang dilakukan dalam sesi kelompok dan individual. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dalam indikator rasa percaya diri dan sikap sosial siswa. Hal ini ditunjukkan melalui observasi lapangan dan instrumen angket yang menunjukkan perbedaan sebelum dan sesudah intervensi. Dengan demikian, hypnoterapi terbukti menjadi salah satu pendekatan alternatif yang efektif dalam penguatan karakter siswa.

Abstract

The problem of this research is the low ability of mathematical connections due to the low ability of students to understand mathematical concepts. This research is a Classroom Action Research conducted at Husni Thamrin High School Medan. In the implementation of this research tools and research instruments have been developed. The results in cycle I show that: (1) the average test score of students' mathematical connection ability is 68.0 or there are 73% of the number of students who take the test have a level sis mathematical ability, (2) the level of active activity of students has not met the set ideal percentage of time, . In cycle II the results were obtained: (1) the average score of students' mathematical ability test was 73.0 or there were 86.6% of the number of students who took the test had a minimum level of students' mathematical ability in the sufficient category and 13.4% had a level students' mathematical are under the sufficient category, (2) the level of active activity of students fulfills the ideal percentage of time. In cycles I and II, concluded that implementation of jigsaw cooperative learning can improve students' mathematical ability.

Abstract

This research is an experimental study that examines problem posing in an effort to improve the ability of mathematical problem solving of students conducted at SMA Negeri 15 Medan with a sample of class XI as many as two classes taken randomly.The instrument used in this study was a student mathematical problem solving test in the form of multiple choices to determine the ability of students to solve mathematical problems. The results of the study concluded that mathematical problem solving abilities who obtained cooperative models of Jigsaw with REACT's strategy increased better than the mathematical problem solving abilities who obtained conventional learning. Student activities that follow the cooperative model of Jigsaw with REACT's strategy reflect active activities, and student responses to the cooperative model of Jigsaw with REACT's strategy are very good. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the application of the cooperative model of Jigsaw with REACT's strategy is effective in improving mathematical problem solving, and student learning activities.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) ini di fokuskan pada Pengaruh Literasi Ekonomi Dalam meningkatkan Hasil Belajar siswa pada Era Globalisasi 5.0 Di SMA NEGERI 1 KUALUH HULU Pelaksaan PKM ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan siswa-siswi dalam memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dan multimedia. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai pada PKM ini antararanya: 1) memberikan pemahaman kepada siswa-siswi SMA NEGERI 1 KUALUH HULU agar dapat memanfaatkan teknologi secara positif, 2) membantu siswa-siswi untuk melihat peluang usaha diera digital, 3) memberikan pemahaman kepada siswa-siswi berkaitan dengan digital teknologi sekarang, 4) melatih siswa-siswi Menerapkan LIterasi Eonomi dengan baik 5) membina kerjasama dengan berbagai pihak terkait Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat, terutama pihak sekolah, untuk memperkenalkan Universitas HKBP Nommensen kepada siswa yang ada di SMA NEGERI 1 KUALUH HULU , Metode yang digunakan utuk mencapai tujuan PKM ini adalah melalui ceramah dan praktik. Materi-materi terkait pelatihan disampaikan melalui ceramah dan diskusi. Kemudian selanjutnya pelatihan langsung dilaksanakan dengan praktik secara langsung. Kegiatan PKM ini secara keseluruhan mendapatkan hasil yang baik dan memuaskan. Beberapa komponen yang berhasil dicapai dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan ini diantaranya:1) ketercapaian tujuan kegiatan, 2) tercapainya target materi yang telah direncanakan.Kata Kunci: literasi ekonomi, Hasil Belaja, era globalisasi 5.0

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Reciprocal Learning model based on Hypnoteaching in improving students’ self-confidence in mathematics learning. The background of this research is the low level of students’ self-confidence in mathematics classes, which affects their active participation, mathematical communication skills, and learning outcomes. The Reciprocal Learning model emphasizes activities such as summarizing, questioning, clarifying, and predicting, while the Hypnoteaching approach optimizes positive suggestion, persuasive language, and the creation of a comfortable and conducive learning environment. This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The research subjects were secondary school students divided into experimental and control groups. The research instruments included a self-confidence questionnaire, observation sheets of student activities, and mathematics achievement tests. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical tests to determine differences in self-confidence improvement between the two groups. The results indicate that the implementation of the Hypnoteaching-based Reciprocal Learning model significantly improves students’ self-confidence compared to conventional learning methods. The improvement is evident in students’ courage to express opinions, ability to ask questions, participation in discussions, and confidence in solving mathematical problems. Therefore, this model is effective as an innovative instructional strategy to enhance both affective and cognitive aspects of students in mathematics learning.

Abstract

This classroom action research aims to improve students’ critical thinking skills through the implementation of the STEAM-based Problem Based Learning (PBL) model at SMA Negeri 15 Medan. The research subjects were 32 eleventh-grade students. The study was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research instruments included observation sheets, critical thinking skill tests, and documentation. The results show that the implementation of STEAM-based PBL significantly improved students’ critical thinking skills. In the pre-action stage, the percentage of students achieving mastery in critical thinking was only 37.5%. After the first cycle, it increased to 65.6%, and by the second cycle, it further increased to 87.5%. This improvement was supported by more active and collaborative learning activities, as well as students’ better ability to analyze problems systematically through the STEAM approach. Therefore, the STEAM-based PBL model is effective in enhancing students' critical thinking skills in the learning process at SMA Negeri 15 Medan.

Abstract

Pembelajaran berkolaborasi merupakan salah satu metode yang dapat meningkatkan rasa percaya diri dan motivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas pembelajaran berkolaborasi dalam meningkatkan dua aspek tersebut di kalangan peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi dan wawancara yang dilakukan pada siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Sipoholon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang terlibat dalam pembelajaran kolaboratif mengalami peningkatan rasa percaya diri dalam menyampaikan pendapat dan lebih termotivasi dalam belajar. Faktor-faktor seperti interaksi sosial, dukungan teman sebaya, dan keterlibatan aktif dalam diskusi kelas memainkan peran penting dalam hasil tersebut. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran kolaboratif dapat menjadi strategi yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah.
