Abstract

Background: The National Quality Indicator Measurement (INM) of hospitals is mandatory to be conducted as a basis for planning, monitoring, evaluation, and decision-making for the improvement of healthcare services in hospitals, following Minister of Health Regulation Number 30 of 2022. Objective: This study aims to determine the overview of the achievement of hospitals in Indonesia in reporting and meeting the National Quality Indicators (INM). Method: The method used in this study is descriptive with secondary data analysis. Quality indicator data was obtained from the achievement data of national quality indicators reported in the mutu fasyankes.kemenkes.go.id/simar/ application. Results: All provinces have implemented the reporting of INM measurements, and the number of hospitals reporting INM in the first quarter of 2023 has increased compared to the reporting of hospital INM in the fourth quarter of 2022. There are still 18 provinces with INM reporting compliance below 50%. There is no difference in reporting compliance between government/TNI/POLRI-owned hospitals, state-owned enterprises, and private hospitals. The average achievement of INM targets in 2023 has improved compared to 2022. Compliance with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is an indicator of low achievement. Conclusion and Suggestions: Compliance in reporting INM by hospitals has increased after the implementation of the obligation to measure and report INM according to Minister of Health Regulation Number 30 of 2022. However, the achievement of the compliance indicator for the use of PPE is still low. It is necessary to strengthen healthcare workers' adherence to the use of PPE.

Abstract

Stunting is one of the serious public health problems in Indonesia, including in Kupang City, East Nusa Tenggara Province. Stunting prevention requires an active role from parents or caregivers in providing proper parenting. This study aims to provide an overview of parenting styles that play an important role in stunting prevention in Kupang City, based on a literature review of the latest studies that have been conducted in the Kupang City area. This research uses the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses) method through four stages, namely identification, screening, feasibility, and results received. The literature search is done by accessing an online electronic database from Google Scholar. Literature searches have been carried out online in Indonesian-language journals on the Google Scholar database in the last three years (2020-2023). The results showed that the incidence of stunting toddlers in Kupang City was influenced by improper feeding practices due to the low level of knowledge and economy. In addition, various community empowerment activities influence reducing stunting. It is hoped that community empowerment activities will continue to reduce the incidence of stunting in Kupang City.

Abstract

Compared to a few decades ago, puberty now happens earlier, and the frequency of sexual assault is rising wildly. The purpose of this study is to examine how puberty education affects high-grade elementary school students' awareness of sexual assault prevention. With a facilitator in each class, the research design employs a quasi-experimental format of concurrent lectures and conversations lasting 60 minutes. 22 fourth-graders, 31 fifth-graders, and 31 sixth-graders make up the participants. Ten true-false questions from a pre-and post-test were used to gauge knowledge. The T-test was utilized in data analysis. The understanding of high school students significantly increased (P value 0.0001). All class discussions showed an exceptionally lively exchange of thoughts, and several students were particularly aggressive and engaged in raising issues of psychological (the recognition and control of emotions) and social (interpersonal connections and communication) interest. Continuous education is important, along with teaching strategies that are not the same as pedagogy or andragogy but rather suitable for the typical characteristics of adolescents.

Abstract

This study aims to elaborate on the pattern of additional food as a risk factor for stunting in toddlers at the Pasar Prabumulih Health Center in 2023. Stunting is a condition where a child's height is shorter than the height of other children of the same age. Factors that can influence stunting include unhealthy eating patterns, low birth weight (LBW), lack of breastfeeding, due to infectious diseases during infancy, and failure to achieve perfect growth improvement in the following period. This study uses a case-control study approach with an analytical observational research design. Cases are toddlers diagnosed with stunting and controls are toddlers diagnosed as normal. The data collection technique uses primary data obtained directly from the research site by means of observation and interviews using questionnaires. Data were analyzed using binary logistic regression tests. The results of the analysis showed that there was no relationship between exclusive breastfeeding, parental education level, parental knowledge, and history of infectious diseases with stunting, but additional food patterns were related to stunting. The final multivariate model showed that only additional food patterns affected stunting.

Abstract

Purpose: This research aims to examine how empowering Posyandu cadres through training in health status monitoring and nutrition counseling can contribute to reducing stunting rates among toddlers in Indonesia. Methodology/Approach: The study adopts a systematic literature review method, analyzing 35 relevant sources published between 2023 and 2025. The literature includes indexed journal articles, community service reports, government policy documents, theses, and dissertations. Databases such as Google Scholar, PubMed, DOAJ, SINTA, and Garuda Ristekbrin were used with keyword combinations like "Posyandu cadres," "cadre empowerment," "stunting prevention," and "toddler nutrition." Inclusion criteria were based on methodological quality, relevance to cadre empowerment, and contributions to the theme of stunting prevention. Thematic analysis was employed to extract key findings and identify trends and best practices. Results/Findings: The findings reveal that structured training programs, community-based education, and support from local health authorities significantly enhance Posyandu cadres’ abilities to monitor child growth and counsel families on balanced nutrition. Multisector collaboration and use of digital health tools also improve intervention efficiency. Empowered cadres play a crucial role in early detection of growth problems, improving family compliance with nutritional guidelines, and sustaining long-term stunting reduction efforts. Conclusions: Empowering Posyandu cadres is essential for effective stunting prevention. Investment in training, incentives, digital tools, and food-based local interventions should be prioritized. Limitations: The study only includes literature in Indonesian and English from the last three years and does not perform a quantitative meta-analysis. Contribution: This review offers a scientific basis for formulating community-based policies and strategies to strengthen Posyandu cadres’ capacity as frontline health workers.
