Abstract

Almost of Walanae Formation consist of siliciclastic rocks. Provenance study is needed to determinate the source rocks because these rocks formed from earlier rocks. Administratively, the study area is located in Lalebata area, Lamuru District, Bone Regency, South Sulawesi Province.The purpose of this research is to study the provenance of Walanae Formation sandstone. The method were used measuring section and petrography analysis that used in genetic and empiric classification. Based on thin section analysis by compare between the monoquarst and polyquarst. The sandstone provenance of the area are plutonic igneous rocks, volcanic rocks and metamorphic rocks. The result of this study indicate that provenance of the Walanae sandstone derived from arround Formations are Igneous rocks and metamorphic rocks and included as Recycled Orogen and Mamatic Arc Provenance type.Keywords: Walanae Formation, Provenance, monoquarst, polyquarst, Recycled Orogen, Magmatic Arc Provenance

Abstract

Polisi wanita memiliki tugas dan tanggung jawab yang sama dengan polisi laki laki sebagian waktunya dihabiskan di tempat kerja, tuntutan untuk meluangkan waktu bersama keluarga tidak terpenuhi, maka hal ini akan menimbulkan konflik peran ganda dan stres kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keharmonisan keluarga. Penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa kondisi stres didiagnosa berdasarkan 3 jenis gejala yaitu gejala fisik, perilaku, dan tempat kerja, dimana gejala-gejala tersebut dapat membuat individu waspada terhadap kenyataan bahwa berada di bawah pengaruh stres yang mempengaruhi kehidupannya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji ada atau tidaknya stres kerja pada polisi wanita di kepolisian resor kota Padang”. Metode yang digunakan kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis data yaitu analisis korelasi Pearson. Populasi penelitian yakni polisi wanita yang bertugas di kepolisian resor kota Padang dengan ketentuan yang sudah menikah yang berjumlah 48 orang. Sampel pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan skala gejala stres kerja. Hasil analisis data penelitian menunjukkan stres kerja polisi wanita kepolisian resor kota Padang memiliki tingkat stres kerja yang rendah yaitu sebesar 2%.

Abstract

Heavy metal contamination of traditional herbal medicine (jamu) is a threat to humans, especially at levels above known threshold concentrations. Traditional herbal medicine found in Banda Aceh City – Indonesia, polluted by heavy metals cadmium (Cd), lead (Pb), and mercury (Hg) was performed. Heavy metal analysis used Flame - Atomic Absorption Spectrometry (FAAS) and Chemical Vapor Generation - Atomic Absorption Spectrometry (CVG - AAS) methods. The validation of the method was performed to obtain more accurate heavy metal analysis results for the samples. Heavy metal contamination, especially Pb metal, with concentrations of 4.32 ± 0.14 mg/Kg to 29.25 ± 0.24 mg/Kg. The Cd metal contamination was only found in herbal medicine sample E with a concentration of 0.80 ± 0.02 mg/Kg, above the threshold. The Hg metal contamination was also found with concentrations of 0.20 ± 0.01 to 2.14 ± 0.06 mg/Kg, and some were not detected. The government should be very concerned about stopping the distribution of herbal medicine that can be harmful to health and should inspect drug stores that still sell herbs that do not have established standards.

Abstract

Pengelolaan perpustakaan digital di institusi pendidikan tinggi khususnya perpustakaan UIN Imam Bonjol Padang telah mengalami kemajuan yang signifikan, terutama dalam mendukung kualitas akademik. Penerapan sistem OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) memungkinkan pengguna perpustakaan untuk mengakses dan mencari literatur secara mandiri. Tujuan penulisan ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh pengelolaan perpustakaan digital terhadap peningkatan kualitas akademik di UIN Imam Bonjol Padang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi literatur untuk mengeksplorasi pengelolaan perpustakaan digital dan kontribusinya terhadap peningkatan kualitas akademik di UIN Imam Bonjol Padang. Kajian ini dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan dan menelaah berbagai referensi ilmiah, seperti artikel jurnal, buku, dan laporan penelitian. Hasil dan pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa meskipun perpustakaan telah berupaya memenuhi kebutuhan informasi, tantangan seperti penurunan jumlah pengunjung dan perlunya inovasi dalam layanan digital masih ada. Pada penelitian ini di tegaskan bahwa partisipasi aktif dari semua pemangku kepentingan sangat penting untuk menciptakan layanan perpustakaan yang efektif dan efisien, serta mendukung peningkatan kualitas akademik di UIN Imam Bonjol Padang.

Abstract

Cellulosenanofibrils (CNF) is a new generation material that has high performance, good physics and medical properties and is a renewable material that has been developed from various sources using the acid hydrolysis method. CNF synthesis is generally obtained from logs that have a high amount of cellulose fiber. Cellulose nanofibrils (CNF) from arabica coffee skins have great potential to be developed as raw materials for medicines, which function as wound healing agents, surgical sutures, diet medicines, and skin softeners. CNF is produced from Arabica coffee skin through delignification, namely the removal of lignin and hemicellulose by extraction with alkali until -cellulose is obtained, then CNF is synthesized through hydrolysis using dilute acid. From the coffee skin extraction results, a high cellulose yield was obtained, reaching above 24.30% and crystallinity reaching 79.60%. Hydrolysis by 10%, 12% and 15% HCl with a reaction time of 2 hours, the respective crystallinity was 80.66; 79.06; and 77.69%.

Abstract

Aplikasi Maktabah Syamilah telah menjadi salah satu perpustakaan digital yang sangat diminati di kalangan akademisi, khususnya dalam studi Islam, karena menyediakan akses mudah kepada ribuan buku dan literatur dalam berbagai bahasa, termasuk bahasa Arab. Dalam perkembangannya, aplikasi ini tersedia dalam dua versi, yaitu desktop dan mobile, masing-masing dengan karakteristik penggunaan yang berbeda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan tingkat kepuasan pengguna antara versi desktop dan mobile Maktabah Syamilah di kalangan mahasiswa Magister Perpustakaan UIN Imam Bonjol Padang. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan mengumpulkan data melalui kuesioner yang mengeksplorasi aspek-aspek seperti kemudahan penggunaan, kegunaan, dan kepuasan pengguna terhadap kedua versi aplikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa cenderung lebih puas dengan versi mobile dalam hal kemudahan penggunaan dan kepuasan secara umum, meskipun versi desktop dinilai lebih bermanfaat dalam beberapa aspek. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan penting bagi pengembangan aplikasi perpustakaan digital di masa depan untuk meningkatkan pengalaman pengguna dan efektivitas dalam mendukung kegiatan akademik.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the antibacterial activity of the n-hexane extract and fraction of cocoa pod husk against Staphylococcus aureus. The antibacterial was tested using the paper disc diffusion method. The results showed that the extract inhibited bacterial with inhibition zones of 7.13 ± 0.29; 8.58 ± 0.14; 9.60 ± 0.87; and 10.97 ± 0.08 mm at concentrations of 1%, 5%, 10%, and 20%, respectively. The fractionation process produced 9 fractions and the 9th fraction showed the greatest inhibitory activity with inhibition zone diameters of 7.42 ± 0.03; 9.22 ± 0.03; 10.43 ± 0.03; and 11.83 ± 0.03 mm at concentrations of 1%; 5%; 10%; and 20% respectively. Phytochemical analysis and thin-layer chromatography (TLC) showed the presence of terpenoid and steroid compounds. Based on the antibacterial activity exhibited by the extract and fraction, this plant shows potential to be developed as a source of natural antibacterials.

Abstract

Sibutramine hydrochloride is a chemical compound that was once often used as a weight loss drug. This drug is hazardous if used illegally in herbal medicine because it can cause health problems such as kidney failure, heart attacks, and strokes. BPOM has banned its use in herbal medicine, but until now herbal medicine containing sibutramine hydrochloride is still on the market. This study aims to determine the levels of Sibutramine Hydrochloride contained in slimming herbal medicine. The samples used in this study consisted of four brands of slimming herbal medicine that are not registered with BPOM, coded A, B, C, and D, which were obtained from several shops in Baiturrahman District, Banda Aceh City. Sampling was carried out using the total sampling method and then analyzed quantitatively using UV-Vis spectrophotometry. The results of the analysis showed that the four samples were positive for containing Sibutramine Hydrochloride with an average level of 31.69% of herbal medicine sample A; 39.88% of herbal medicine sample B; 7.09% of herbal medicine sample C; and 36.60% of herbal medicine sample D. Therefore, stricter examination and supervision of the circulation of slimming herbal medicine products in the Banda Aceh city area are needed to protect public health.

Abstract

Background: Jamu pegal linu (traditional Indonesian herbal medicine for muscle and joint pain) is widely consumed to relieve muscle and bone discomfort. However, there are concerns about heavy metal contamination, particularly lead (Pb) and mercury (Hg), in some products circulating in Banda Aceh City. Such contamination poses serious health risks, including organ damage and poisoning, necessitating thorough analysis to ensure product safety. Objective: This study aimed to detect and measure Pb and Hg levels in jamu pegal linu samples sold on Diponegoro Street, Banda Aceh, and compare them with the safety limits set by the Indonesian Food and Drug Authority (BPOM RI). Methods: A total of 23 samples were qualitatively analyzed using KI, NaOH, and HCl reagents (for Pb) and HNO₃ and KI (for Hg). Positive samples were further analyzed quantitatively using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS). Method validation included linearity, precision, accuracy, LoD, and LoQ assessments. Results: Qualitative testing revealed Pb and Hg contamination in 12 samples. Pb levels ranged from 1.45–9.17 mg/kg (below BPOM’s threshold of ≤10 mg/kg), while Hg levels ranged from 0.14–1.37 mg/kg, with six samples exceeding the safe limit (≤0.5 mg/kg). The highest Hg concentration (1.37 mg/kg) was found in an unregistered product. Conclusion: Most jamu pegal linu products in Banda Aceh contain heavy metals, particularly Hg, at unsafe levels. Strict regulatory oversight, especially for unregistered products, is crucial to safeguard public health.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to provide education and training to the people of Lhoknga Village, Aceh Besar Regency, on how to make dishwashing soap from natural ingredients. In this training, lime is used for its effective ability to remove grease and dirt, while pandan leaf extract is added as a refreshing natural fragrance. The training is conducted practically through soap-making sessions, enabling participants to gain not only theoretical knowledge but also hands-on skills in producing soap independently using readily available local materials. Through this initiative, it is hoped that positive impacts will be created for the environment and the local economy, while also fostering awareness of the importance of using environmentally friendly products. Additionally, this training opens opportunities for the development of small-scale businesses based on household products with market value
