Abstract

Kemangi (Ocimum basilicum L.) merupakan salah satu tanaman yang mengandung minyak atsiri dan dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai antimikroba. Tanaman kemangi mempunyai senyawa yang dapat memortalitas hama putih dalam jumlah banyak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Efektivitas ekstrak batang kemangi terhadap mortalitas hama putih pada tanaman hias bunga asoka (Ixora coccinea L.). Tanaman asoka (Ixora coccinea L.) merupakan tanaman hias yang cukup popular dikalangan penghobi tanaman hias, namun banyak juga tanaman asoka ini teradapat hama putih. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dan dianalisis menggunakan sidik ragam (ANOVA) yang akan dilakukan di Laboratorium Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan, Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Pasundan. Pada penelitian ini jenis konsentrasi perlakuan yang digunakan yaitu 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50% dan 0% (kontrol) dengan pengulangan masing-masing 4 pengulangan. Pengulangan dilakuan selama 24 jam. Hasil penelitian yang paling efektif yaitu pada konsentrasi 50% dengan rata-rata mortalitas hama putih (Bemisia tabaci) yaitu 93%, sedangkan untuk mendapatkan respon biologis 50% kematian dari jumlah total sampel yang diperlukan konsentrasi ekstrak batang kemangi pada konsentrasi 30%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak batang kemangi efektif dalam mmembunuh hama putih Bemisia tabaci.Kata kunci: Efektivitas, Ekstrak Batang Kemangi, Pestisida Nabati, Mortalitas, Hama Putih

Abstract

In 2020, the learning process in Indonesia was disrupted due to the Covid-19 outbreak. The Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture has changed techniques for online-based learning activities, including biology education. This research aims to determine the problems of biology education in junior high schools in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The subjects used in this research were students and teachers. The object of this research is to analyze the problems of students and teachers in carrying out learning in junior high schools in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic. The research results show that the implementation of biology learning during the COVID-19 pandemic, especially in online format, faces a number of challenges that affect the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process. Internet network problems, especially in rural areas, are a serious obstacle, resulting in difficulties for students' access to platforms such as WhatsApp, Zoom Meeting, Google Classroom, and Google Meeting. The difficulty in understanding biological concepts by students emphasizes the need for a more in-depth learning approach and an increase in the role of teachers in providing detailed explanations. Limited infrastructure and technological accessibility illustrate inequalities in online learning. Therefore, collaborative initiatives are needed between the government, schools, teachers and students to overcome technical obstacles and improve the quality of biology learning during the pandemic.

Abstract

In the context of the rapid development of information and communication technology, conventional approaches in biology learning need to be reconsidered in order to utilize the potential of existing technology. This research aims to investigate and analyze the importance of technology integration in biology learning in the digital era. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The research results show that the integration of technology in biology learning increases engagement and learning effectiveness. The use of simulation software, interactive videos, and learning applications motivates students and provides an immersive learning experience. Personalization of learning through digital platforms and adaptive learning improves student understanding. Online learning data provides targeted feedback, while collaborative projects and virtual interactions build collaboration skills. Overall, technology integration creates an adaptive, interactive, and relevant learning environment in the digital era.

Abstract

Soft skills merupakan bagian keterampilan dari seseorang yang lebih bersifat pada kehalusan atau sensitifitas perasaan seseorang terhadap lingkungan di sekitarnya  Soft skills menjadi suatu hal yang sangat penting karena kesuksesan seseorang tidak hanya ditentukan oleh pengetahuan dan kemampuan teknis (hard skills) saja, tetapi yang lebih utama didukung oleh kemampuan mengelola diri dan orang lain (soft skills). Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganalisis kegiatan UKM dan kegiatan perkuliahan dalam aktivitas presentasi yang berkaitan dengan pengembangan soft skills mahasiswa calon guru. Metode penelitian ini  merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program kerja Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa dan proses perkuliahan pada aktivitas diskusi mahasiswa mulai menerapkan aspek-aspek soft skills. Aspek soft skills yang dijaring terdiri dari beberapa aspek yaitu kemampuan berkomunikasi, kemampuan berfikir atau bernalar, kemampuan menyelesaikan masalah, kerjasama tim, etika/moral dan keterampilan kepemimpinan.Keywords: Soft Skills, Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa

Abstract

Analytical ability is the ability of students to describe a problem in learning material, in other words, students are able to know, understand, and apply what the teacher has conveyed. One way to improve students' analytical skills is to apply a learning process based on the TPACK framework. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of learning with the e-learning method using the LMS Moodle as a component of the TPACK framework, on the subject matter of the Nervous System. This study used a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest - posttest design. The instrument used to measure the knowledge ability of students is in the form of pretest and posttest questions as many as 20 items. The subjects used were 23 students in class XI MIPA A SMA Angkasa Lanud Husein Sastranegara Bandung. The results showed that the average pretest score was 56.7 with the lowest score being 20 and the highest score being 85, with the posttest average score being 84.6, the lowest score being 40 and the highest score being 100, and the results of the N-Gain test. obtained a score of 0.66 with low improvement criteria, while from the acquisition of student questionnaires it was found that learning using the e-learning method that uses LMS Moodle as a component of the TPACK framework is categorized as very attractive to students. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an increase in students' analytical skills on the concept of the Nervous System material by utilizing the LMS Moodle in TPACK based learning.

Abstract

Adat seserahan merupakan suatu rangkaian acara penyerahan calon pengantin dari pihak keluarga laki-laki kepada pihak keluarga perempuan dalam rangka menyambut dan mempersiapkan calon pasangan tersebut menuju sebuah mahligai pernikahan. Dalam prosesnya, seserahan melibatkan sejumlah orang dari keluarga mempelai, tetangga, maupun saudara pengantin. Seserahan juga menyertakan berbagai barang bawaan sebagai hadiah atau pemberian yang berbentuk perlengkapan pakaian, bahan makanan, makanan tradisional, dan uang untuk calon mempelai wanita dan keluarganya sebagai langkah awal dalam mempersiapkan kebutuhan pasca pernikahan. Adat seserahan ini lazimnya dilaksanakan sehari sebelum pelaksanaan ijab qabul. Sehingga calon pengantin melewati suatu malam di rumah keluarga calon pengantin wanita, bergaul dan beradaptasi sebagai calon penghuni baru bagi rumah tersebut, khususnya bagi calon istrinya. Kondisi ini kemudian menjadi bakal kajian yang menarik, terutama ditinjau dari fikih Islam sebagai norma yang dianut oleh masyarakat, sebab dalam pandangan fikih Islam kondisi tersebut dapat menimbulkan situasi yang kontradiktif terhadap hukum Islam. Dalam hal ini, dapat terjadi perbuatan yang melanggar aturan Islam seperti khalwat, dan bahkan perzinahan. Selain itu juga dapat ditinjau dari bagaimana undang-undang sebagai bagian dari hukum positif melihat dan mengatur seserahan dalam konteksnya sebagai adat yang hidup da nada ditengah-tengah masyarakat bangsa Indonesia. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa Para Ulama pada dasarnya telah mengidentifikasi kasus seserahan, yang dituangkan dalam berbagai kaidah dalam ilmu fikih sebagai landasan penerapan hukum yang berkaitan dengan perbuatan manusia. Sehingga dapat diidentifikasi bahwa seserahan memang memberikan peluang yang besar terjadinya pelanggaran hukum Islam yang bertentangan dengan tujuan pernikahan yaitu menjaga kesucian, harkat dan martabat manusia dari perzinahan. Bahkan dapat menimbulkan pelanggaran terhadap kesusilaan yang diatur dalam undang-undang dasar Negara Indonesia.

Abstract

Along with the development of information technology, biology education needs to experience innovation to maintain its relevance in preparing students to face future demands. This research focuses on innovative strategies that can be applied in biology learning, taking into account the challenges that arise in the digital era. Research methods involve literature analysis, surveys, and case studies to understand the various approaches that have been taken by biology educators. The results of this research show that technology integration, curriculum development that is responsive to the latest scientific developments, and the use of online learning resources are key elements in revitalizing biology learning. Challenges identified include unequal access to technology, teacher training needs, and adapting to rapid changes in learning paradigms. Therefore, this research also explores solutions and strategies to overcome these obstacles. In conclusion, revitalizing biology learning requires a holistic approach that covers various aspects, from technology to innovative teaching strategies. By facing the challenges and taking advantage of the opportunities of the digital era, biology education can become more dynamic and relevant, preparing students to face global changes in the future.

Abstract

During the current pandemic, people are looking for activities that can fill their spare time, one of which is the cultivation of ornamental plants. In addition to channeling hobbies, ornamental plant cultivation can increase people's income by marketing products to the market. The purpose of this activity is to provide knowledge and skills in the cultivation of Sirih Gading (Epipremnum aureum) ornamental plants vegetatively and by cuttings, to partners and provide information about business prospects and marketing strategies for fruit and ornamental plants in Griya Prima Asri Complex, Kec. Baleendah, Kab. Bandung. The selection of the Sirih Gading (Epipremnum aureum) ornamental plant as the object of service because this plant can grow in Indonesian climatic conditions, easy to care for, easy to observe and measure its growth, such as number of leaves, leaf width, leaf length, stem height, and root length. In addition, marketing assistance for ornamental plant products and fruit plants that are developed vegetatively is also carried out. The methods used are socialization, workshops/training, and monitoring. The results of this activity were 90% of the participants stated that the ornamental plant propagation training provided benefits and knowledge to cultivate and develop them into entrepreneurial prospects, in the midst of many people who lost their jobs due to the impact of the pandemic.

Abstract

Nori is a seaweed-based food that is favored by the Indonesian people, but its availability is still limited. Meanwhile, the abundant production of land kale (Ipomoea reptans) as a local vegetable has not been optimally utilized, resulting in low economic value and its potential as a food source has not been maximized. One solution to overcome this problem is to use organic land kale as an alternative ingredient for making nori. Organic land kale is known to have good nutritional content and is commonly consumed by the community. This study aims to determine the level of acceptance of analog nori made from organic land kale as a healthy snack through organoleptic tests. The method used was an experiment with a completely randomized design (CRD), consisting of 24 samples, 6 treatments, and 4 repetitions. The treatment given was carrageenan concentration (0%, 0.6%, 0.8%, 1%, 1.2%, and 1.4%) Data were analyzed using the Friedman Test to assess panelists' preferences for taste, color, aroma, and texture parameters. It can be concluded that the results show the addition of carrageenan at 1% produces analog nori with the highest level of acceptance, so it is considered the most optimal formulation.
