Abstract

The aims of this study are 1) the level of analysis of cultural counselors' abilities in guidance and counseling practices and 2) the analysis of factors influencing the involvement of cultural counselors in guidance and counseling practices. This research method is a survey method. The targets in this study were the MGBK SMA Sleman Yogyakarta District, which consisted of 64 counseling teachers. The research procedures carried out in this study were 1) sample identification, 2) questionnaire development, 3) research implementation, 4) data collection, 5) data analysis, and 6) interpretation and conclusion. The data collection instrument used a cultural distribution questionnaire. Data analysis in this study is 1) descriptive analysis, 2) inferential analysis, 3) regression analysis. The results of this study show that the F-value is 4.56 with a p-value of 0.005. Because the p-value is less than 0.05, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the components of cultural ability measured in this study. In addition, it is known that the three components of cultural ability significantly influence the effectiveness of guidance and counseling practices. Cultural awareness had the most significant influence (β = 0.29, p = 0.011), followed by cultural skills (β = 0.26, p = 0.019) and cultural knowledge (β = 0.23, p = 0.022). Cultural attitudes have no significant effect (β = 0.20, p = 0.065). Counselors' cultural skills in guidance and counseling practice at MGBK SMA Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta, are critical to understanding and responding to students' needs in the local cultural context. The main aspects of the counselor's cultural skills are understanding local culture, sensitivity to local context, use of language and culturally relevant terms, collaboration with cultural stakeholders, and self-development.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Pancasila learning media into an electronic book based on voice text so that it is expected to increase students' learning motivation. The second objective is to determine the feasibility of developing electronic book media based on voice text. The research method uses Research and Development with the stages of Analysis, Design, Development Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE). The effectiveness of the media is obtained from the evaluation results of Based on expert validation, electronic book media based on voice text gets an average percentage score of 89% with a very feasible category and the average validation of electronic book material based on voice text gets a score of 92% with a very appropriate category and in terms of user practicality gets a score of 88% with a very appropriate category.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the integration of the Adiwiyata Program in the formation of an environmentally caring character as a disaster mitigation effort based on educational units. The research was conducted with a participatory approach at SMP Negeri 4 and SMP Negeri 29 Semarang through three main stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. The results indicate an increase in student awareness and involvement in sustainable environmental management, active participation in green school programs, and a real role in building a culture of disaster preparedness. Character strengthening is carried out through habituation, exemplification, and integration of environmental materials into the curriculum. This strategy has proven effective in enhancing students' adaptability to disaster threats related to environmental damage, such as floods and landslides. These findings emphasize the importance of collaboration between character education and the implementation of the Adiwiyata Program to shape a school ecosystem

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis internalisasi nilai motivasi dan kemandirian belajar mahasiswa jarak jauh di UPBJJ-UT Yogyakarta dalam menyelesaikan studi di UPBJJ-UT. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif untuk menganalisis nilai-nilai karakter motivasi belajar dan kemandirian mahasiswa UPBJJ-UT Yogyakarta untuk menyelesaikan studi mereka. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah Manajer UPBJJ-UT Yogyakarta, Mahasiswa UPBJJ-UT Yogyakarta, dan Keluarga Mahasiswa UPBJJ-UT Yogyakarta. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi partisipan dan wawancara mendalam. Data yang dikumpulkan kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik domain dengan pendekatan tipologi umur, jarak rumah, dan pendapatan. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa motivasi dan kemandirian dibutuhkan oleh mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan perkuliahan. Motivasi dan kemandirian yang tinggi membuat siswa lebih rajin belajar, sebaliknya mahasiswa yang memiliki motivasi dan kemandirian rendah membuat mereka malas untuk belajar. Fnomena yang terjadi di UPBJJ-UT Yogyakarta terlihat bahwa motivasi dan kemandirian mahasiswa masih relatif rendah. Secara umum, mahasiswa UPBJJ-UT Yogyakarta hanya akan belajar jika mendekati waktu ujian atau jika ada tugas tutorial saja. Rendahnya nilai motivasi dan kemandirian mahasiswa UPBJJ-UT Yogyakarta berdampak pada rendahnya daya tahan belajar siswa.Tingkat kelulusan rata-rata mahasiswa UPBJJ-UT Yogyakarta menunjukkan bahwa 70% tidak dapat lulus tepat waktu, semakin tinggi motivasi dan kemandirian mahasiswa UPBJJ-UT Yogyakarta, maka mahasiswa dapat lulus sesuai dengan waktu yang ditentukanHabitual Character Values Motivation and Independence Complete Study at UPBJJ-UT Yogyakarta. This study aims to analyze the internalization of the motivation and independence of distance learning at UPBJJ-UT Yogyakarta in completing studies at UPBJJ-UT. This study uses a qualitative approach to analyze the values of learning motivation and independence of UPBJJ-UT Yogyakarta students to complete their studies. Informants in this study were UPBJJ-UT Yogyakarta Managers, UPBJJ-UT Yogyakarta Students, and UPBJJ-UT Yogyakarta Student Families. Data collection techniques are done by participant observation and in-depth interviews. The data collected was then analyzed using domain techniques with the typology approach of age, home distance, and income. The study shows that motivation and independence are needed by students in completing studies. High motivation and independence make students more diligent in learning, whereas students who have low motivation and independence make them lazy to learn. The phenomena occurring at UPBJJ-UT Yogyakarta shows that students' motivation and independence are still relatively low. In general, UPBJJ-UT Yogyakarta students will only study if approaching the exam time or if there are tutorial assignments only. The low value of motivation and independence of UPBJJ-UT Yogyakarta students has an impact on the low endurance of student learning. The average graduation rate of UPBJJ-UT Yogyakarta students shows that 70% cannot graduate on time, the higher the motivation and independence of UPBJJ-UT Yogyakarta students, then students can graduate following the specified time.

Abstract

Students’ learning motivation is a crucial factor that encourages them to actively participate throughout the learning process; however, this motivation may descrease when teachers’ competence is low and the learning environment lacks sufficient support. The purpose of this study is to test the hypothesis regarding the impact of teacher competence and the learning environment on the learning motivation of sixth-grade elementary school students in Bayan District, Purworejo, both partially and simultaneously. This research employs a quantitative method with a cluster random sampling technique conducted in four elementary schools as research sites. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation, then analyzed using t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination with SPSS version 25. The results indicate that: (1) teacher competence has a positive effect on learning motivation, with t-value of 6.568 > t-table 1.983 and a coefficient of determination of 33.8%; (2) the learning environment has a positive effect on learning motivation, with t-value of 6.986 > t- table 1.983 and a partial determination coefficient of 36.4%; and (3) teacher competence and the learning environment jointly have a positive effect on learning motivation, with F- value of 62.187 > F- table 3.09 and a coefficient of determination of 55.7%. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the higher the influence of teacher competence and the learning environment, either individually or jointly, the higher the learning motivation of sixth-grade elementary school students in Bayan District. ABSTRAK Motivasi belajar siswa merupakan faktor yang dapat mendorong mereka untuk senantiasa berperan aktif selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung, tetapi hal ini dapat menurun apabila kompetensi yang dimiliki guru rendah dan kurangnya dukungan dari lingkungan belajar anak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji hipotesis mengenai pengaruh kompetensi guru dan lingkungan belajar terhadap motivasi belajar siswa SD kelas VI di Kecamatan Bayan, Purworejo, baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan teknik cluster random sampling pada empat sekolah dasar sebagai lokasi penelitian. Data diperoleh melalui penyebaran kuesiner dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji t, uji F, dan koefisien determinasi pada aplikasi SPSS versi 25. Hasil penelitian ini, yaitu: (1) terdapat pengaruh yang positif antara kompetensi guru terhadap motivasi belajar dengan nilai thitung 6,568 > ttabel 1,983 dan nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 33,8%, (2) terdapat pengaruh yang positif antara lingkungan belajar terhadap motivasi belajar dengan nilai hasil thitung 6,986 > ttabel 1,983 dan nilai koefisien determinasi parsial sebesar 36,4%, dan (3) terdapat pengaruh positif antara kompetensi guru dan lingkungan berlajar terhadap motivasi belajar dengan hasil berupa nilai Fhitung sebesar 62,187 > dari Ftabel 3,09 dan nilai koefisien determinasi 55,7%. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin tinggi pengaruh yang diberikan oleh variabel kompetensi guru dan lingkungan belajar, baik secara mandiri maupun secara bersama-sama, maka semakin tinggi juga pengaruh yang diterima oleh motivasi belajar siswa SD kelas VI di Kecamatan Bayan.

Abstract

Hiba Nalan merupakan mekanisme penyelesaian adat masyarakat Lamaholot yang digunakan dalam kasus kecelakaan tidak disengaja. Dalam mekanisme ini, pelaku tidak diberikan sanksi adat maupun sanksi hukum formal karena peristiwa tersebut dipahami sebagai bentuk kesialan atau persoalan leluhur yang belum terselesaikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peran ketua adat dalam penyelesaian Hiba Nalan melalui pendekatan kualitatif socio-legal. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan thematic coding serta model Miles–Huberman–Saldaña. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketua adat berperan sebagai mediator, otoritas budaya, dan penyangga moral yang memastikan proses rekonsiliasi berlangsung melalui langkah-langkah simbolik seperti pengakuan kesalahan, musyawarah adat, ritual Hode Limat, dan makan bersama. Mekanisme tersebut selaras dengan konsep keadilan restoratif (Zehr), reintegrative shaming (Braithwaite), transformasi konflik (Lederach), dan perdamaian positif (Galtung). Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa Hiba Nalan merupakan praktik pluralisme hukum yang efektif dan sah secara sosial, serta melengkapi kerangka hukum nasional Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pelaksanaan tradisi Etu atau tinju adat masyarakat Nagekeo, Nusa Tenggara Timur, dari dua perspektif utama: budaya dan hukum nasional Indonesia, khususnya dikaitkan dengan Pasal 170 Kitab Undang-Undang Hukum Pidana (KUHP) tentang kekerasan secara bersama-sama. Tradisi Etu tidak hanya dipahami sebagai pertarungan fisik, tetapi juga sebagai simbol solidaritas, sportivitas, dan penghormatan terhadap leluhur. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi literatur dan studi kasus lapangan. Data diperoleh melalui analisis dokumen, wawancara dengan tokoh adat, serta kajian literatur ilmiah terkait tinju adat di Flores. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari perspektif budaya, Etu berfungsi sebagai media pendidikan karakter dan penguatan identitas sosial. Sementara dari perspektif hukum, pelaksanaan Etu secara formal memang menyerupai tindakan kekerasan sebagaimana diatur dalam Pasal 170 KUHP, tetapi secara substantif, Etu berbeda karena dilakukan atas dasar kesepakatan adat, diatur oleh norma hukum adat, dan berorientasi pada rekonsiliasi sosial, bukan kekerasan kriminal. Dengan demikian, tradisi Etu dapat dipandang sebagai praktik hukum adat yang tetap relevan selama tidak melanggar prinsip kemanusiaan dan keselamatan individu.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of eighth-grade students in Civic Education (PPKn) at SMP PGRI Kasihan through the implementation of the Co-op Co-op learning model. This Classroom Action Research was conducted at SMP PGRI Kasihan, Bantul, Yogyakarta, from October to November 2025, involving 27 students of class VIII B. The Minimum Mastery Criterion (KKM) was set at 75. Data were collected through observation, evaluation tests, interviews, and documentation, and were analyzed quantitatively across two learning cycles. The findings show a significant improvement in student achievement. In the pre-cycle stage, only 3 students met the KKM (41.00% mastery). This increased to 9 students (67.00% mastery) in Cycle I, and further to 24 students (77.00% mastery) in Cycle II, surpassing the 75% success indicator. The study concludes that the Co-op Co-op learning model is effective in enhancing PPKn learning outcomes by making the learning process more engaging, increasing student participation and collaboration, and facilitating better understanding of the material.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the meaning, function, and implementation process of the hanging coffin tradition practiced by the indigenous community of Kampung Ibe, Tambrauw Regency, Southwest Papua, particularly in cases of deaths considered unusual or suspicious. The hanging coffin ritual serves not only as a traditional burial practice but also as a spiritual medium through which the cause of death is interpreted based on signs believed to be conveyed by the deceased’s spirit. This research employs a naturalistic qualitative approach, utilizing observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving customary leaders, tribal chiefs, community elders, and families who have performed the ritual. The findings reveal that the community places greater trust in the spiritual signs manifested through the ritual than in medical results or formal legal explanations. The stages of the ritual provide progressively clearer interpretations for the community, ultimately leading to a culturally accepted conclusion regarding the cause of death. The hanging coffin tradition also strengthens social solidarity, maintains the balance between the living and ancestral spirits, and functions as a mechanism for resolving conflicts within the community. Thus, this tradition is not merely a burial practice but also a deeply rooted cultural and spiritual system for uncovering truth within the indigenous socio-cultural framework.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih maraknya praktik pungutan di sekolah yang berpotensi melanggar asas pelayanan publik dan prinsip keadilan pendidikan. Ombudsman Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY) sebagai lembaga pengawas pelayanan publik memiliki tanggung jawab penting dalam menerima, menindaklanjuti, dan mengawasi laporan masyarakat terkait dugaan pungutan liar di lingkungan pendidikan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis peran Ombudsman DIY dalam menangani laporan pungutan di sekolah serta mengkaji efektivitas pengawasan terhadap kebijakan biaya pendidikan di sekolah negeri. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi literasi, melalui telaah terhadap jurnal ilmiah, dokumen kebijakan, laporan Ombudsman, dan hasil penelitian terdahulu yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Ombudsman DIY berperan aktif dalam melakukan verifikasi dan klarifikasi laporan masyarakat, serta memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan kepada instansi pendidikan yang terbukti melakukan pungutan tidak sah. Selain itu, penelitian menemukan bahwa praktik pungutan sering terjadi akibat rendahnya pemahaman sekolah terhadap regulasi sumbangan sukarela dan minimnya kesadaran masyarakat untuk melapor. Kesimpulannya, Ombudsman DIY memiliki kontribusi signifikan dalam memperkuat tata kelola pelayanan publik di bidang pendidikan melalui fungsi pengawasan, mediasi, dan advokasi terhadap pelanggaran administrasi sekolah.
