Abstract

Container drivers often face problems related to work discipline, including punctuality, performance, consistent attendance, and financial difficulties. These problems include on-time arrival, schedule efficiency, the effect of fatigue and stress on performance, disruption to attendance due to health factors, and financial difficulties that require company assistance through a good funding system. Container drivers in the export-import trade have a large contribution to the punctuality of delivery, therefore truck driver work discipline is the main factor that influences the productivity and performance of container drivers. Container drivers who work with full work discipline have a good impact on the development of transportation service companies, therefore this research aims to analyze the influence of compensation and work motivation on container driver discipline. This research uses quantitative methods, where the population in this study is PT container drivers. Multi Trans Surabaya. A total of 63 people met the criteria to become respondents in this research. The incoming data was processed using SEM_PLS. The results of this research are that compensation has a significant positive effect on the work discipline of container drivers, compensation has a significant positive effect on the work motivation of container drivers, work motivation has a significant positive effect on the work discipline of container drivers and work motivation mediates the effect of compensation on the work discipline of container drivers.

Abstract

Abstract – The centralized water pH quality monitoring control system uses a microcontroller as the control center and program. By using theoretical basics regarding relays, microcontrollers and other electronic components, the author designed a centralized monitoring control system using a computer HMI (Human Machine Interface) as a display with a pH sensor for each water quality situation. The pH sensor is an analog data reader, where the reading results will be processed by the microcontroller which will then activate the relays so that the acid-base solution pump is active when the water pH is unstable. Abstract

This study examines the effect of learning perception and attitude on students' learning performance while implementing communicative language teaching (CLT) in a vocational college. The quantitative study used a survey research method with a cross-sectional design. 270 students participated in the study selected using a voluntarily random sampling technique. These research respondents were among those who had completed intermediate English classes with the amplification of the CLT method. Data were collected using a questionnaire with a four-point Likert's scaling method from very disagree (1) to very agree (4) (α = 0.843). The obtained data were analyzed using ANOVA with the assistance of IBM SPSS 25. Results showed a significant effect of learning perception (β = .890; F = 1018.849; p = 0.000) and attitude on students’ learning performance (β = .850; F = 698.468; p = 0.000). Among the two, learning attitude had been the more influential factor in students' learning performance during the implementation of CLT. This study suggested that CLT could be a catalyst for learning perception and attitude to elevate students' learning performance in the context of EFL teaching in vocational college.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of motivation and learning styles on academic achievement in the Introduction to Economics course at Politeknik Penerbangan Surabaya. Despite a rigorous curriculum and effective teaching methods, cadets’ academic performance has not met expectations, raising questions about the internal factors that may influence academic success. The study employs a descriptive quantitative approach, using multiple linear regression to analyze how intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, as well as visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles, affect academic performance. The findings reveal that while motivation has a positive influence on academic achievement, its effect is not statistically significant. Conversely, learning style is found to have a significant impact on academic performance, with the regression analysis showing a stronger influence of learning style (0.702) compared to motivation (0.405). The simultaneous analysis of both motivation and learning style confirms that these factors together account for 85.3% of the variation in academic achievement. These results suggest that teaching strategies should be tailored to match students' learning styles, while also fostering motivation to enhance learning outcomes. The study provides insights for improving educational practices at Politeknik Penerbangan Surabaya and offers actionable recommendations for optimizing cadets' academic success.

Abstract

This research investigates the impact of non-physical working environments on the performance of Non-Civil Servant government employees at the Aviation Education. Utilizing both t-test and F-test analyses, the study reveals significant findings. The t-test results indicate a calculated t-value of 8.020 with Sig < α (0.029 < 0.05), demonstrating the significance of coefficient β2. At a 95% confidence level, df (n – k = 50 – 2) = 48, where the t-table value is 1.677, suggesting a partially significant effect of the Non-Physical Work Environment variable on employee performance. Moreover, the F-test results show Sig < α (0.000 < 0.05), confirming the significance of coefficient β. With an F-count of 64.313 and utilizing a 95% confidence level, df1 = 1 and df2 = 48, the F-table value is 4.04, indicating a simultaneous significant effect of the Non-Physical Work Environment variable on employee performance. These findings underscore the crucial role of non-physical working environments in enhancing the performance of Non-Civil Servant Government Employees (PPNPN) at the Aviation Education..
