Abstract

Farm independence is a crucial foundation for the sustainability of farmers’ agribusiness, as it enables them to optimize resources and adapt to market changes. A farmer group approach is increasingly relevant for strengthening this independence through collaborative knowledge and shared resources. This study aims to (1) analyze the influence of intrinsic determination and extrinsic determination on the dynamic movement of the group and (2) analyze the influence of intrinsic determination, extrinsic determination, and dynamic movement of the group on the independence of farmers in farming. The study was conducted from January to March 2024 at the Bangkit Merbabu Farmers Group in Batur Village, Getasan Subdistrict, Semarang District, Central Java. A total of 42 farmers were selected by simple random sampling as the research sample. Data were collected using questionnaires that measured the four research variables: the influence of intrinsic determination, extrinsic determination, and the dynamic movement of the group on the independence of farmers in farming. The data were analyzed using path analysis with the assistance of SPSS 21. The path analysis results showed significant contributions of intrinsic determination. Intrinsic determination had a strong direct influence on farm independence, while external factors contributed more through indirect paths mediated by the dynamic movement of the group. The dynamic movement of the group itself also had a positive direct effect on the level of farm independence. These findings suggest that enhancing farmers’ knowledge and skills directly increases their independence, and extrinsic support further strengthens this effect through interactions within the farmer group.

Abstract

Vanilla is a high-value commodity with significant demand in domestic and international markets, making consumer behavior an essential aspect of its marketing strategy. Understanding the factors that drive purchasing decisions can help businesses like Vanilla Global Indonesia optimize their offerings and marketing efforts to meet consumer needs effectively. The purpose of this research is to determine the characteristics of consumers of vanilla products at Vanilla Global Indonesia and to find out what factors influence the decision to purchase vanilla products at Vanilla Global Indonesia. This research was carried out in 2023 with 50 respondents from consumers who made purchase decisions at Vanilla Global Indonesia, with an age qualification of more than 17 years. Regression analysis with classical assumption tests is used in this study to see the variables of quality, price, packaging, and promotion, and their influence on purchasing decisions for Indonesian global vanilla products. This research shows that 20 people came from Korea, and the number of customer respondents with a D3 education level is as many as 20 people, with customers having a chef job level of 21 people. This analysis showed that quality, price, packaging, and promotion positively affect purchase decisions, which means that if the variable increases, then the consumer's purchasing decision for Vanilla will also increase. The product quality variable significantly influences consumer purchasing decisions for Vanilla, with a coefficient of 0.470.

Abstract

AbstractEmployee performance is a key prerequisite for the sustainability of agricultural cooperatives because it affects service quality, operational accuracy, and organizational goal attainment. This study examines the effects of competence, motivation, work discipline, and organizational commitment on employee performance at the Langgeng Mulyo Agricultural Cooperative, Kediri Regency. A quantitative survey design was employed involving 33 employees selected through saturated sampling. The available research documents consist of a 12-item instrument for the four independent variables and the final statistical outputs used in the employee-performance regression model. Instrument audit results indicate that 10 of 12 items met the validity criterion, the overall instrument showed very good reliability (Cronbach's alpha = 0.879), yet the work-discipline dimension still displayed insufficient internal consistency. Multiple linear regression shows that competence, motivation, work discipline, and organizational commitment did not significantly affect employee performance, either partially or simultaneously (F = 0.395; Sig. = 0.811). The R² value of 0.053 and Adjusted R² of -0.082 indicate that the model explains only a very small share of performance variance. These findings suggest that a four-factor individual model is not yet adequate to capture the main determinants of employee performance in the cooperative under study. Keywords: Employee Performance; Agricultural Cooperative; Competence; Motivation; Work Discipline; Organizational Commitment.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine the post-harvest process for guppy fish and the marketing channels at Mr. Mauludy's farm in Pare District, Kediri Regency. The study was conducted from February 2026 to April 2026, using a purposive sampling technique. The results of this study are that post-harvest activities of guppy fish include several stages, namely harvesting, sorting and grading, temporary storage, packaging, and distribution and marketing. These stages are carried out to maintain the quality of guppy fish so that they remain in healthy condition so that they have a good selling value when marketed. In its implementation, post-harvest activities still face several obstacles such as poorly controlled water cleanliness, failure of fish to adapt after harvest, excessive feeding, and the presence of cannibalistic behavior in guppy fish which can cause losses for farmers. The marketing channels for guppy fish in this study consist of two channels: direct marketing channels from producers to consumers and first-level marketing channels from producers to collectors and then to consumers. The selling price of guppy fish to collectors tends to be lower than direct sales to consumers due to the profit margin taken by collectors.

Abstract

The catfish farming industry uses a significant amount of water for its production processes, resulting in significant waste production. Catfish are a type of freshwater fish highly sought after by Indonesians. Catfish waste often causes problems due to its foul odor due to contamination with the environment, which is rich in putrefying microbes. The research location was the Laboratory in collaboration with the P3GI Laboratory in Kediri Regency. The research method used AAS ang SWOT analysis. The test samples used liquid organic fertilizer and solid fertilizer produced from the process of making fertilizer from catfish head and offal waste. The results of the study are as follows: the main macronutrients of the POC from catfish head waste are Nitrogen (N) at an average of 1.37%, Phosphorus (P) at 2.40%. Potassium (K) content at 3.90%, and Organic Carbon at 0.52%. Solid catfish head waste fertilizer contains 4.5% nitrogen (N), 6.80% phosphorus (PO4), and 4.70% potassium (K). Organic carbon (C) is 31%. Therefore, the nutrient analysis results for the organic fertilizer production process from catfish head waste show that the solid organic catfish waste fertilizer has the highest nutrient content, which is very good for plants. SWOT analysis is very important to carry out to make it easier to produce safe, reliable and good quality fertilizer.

Abstract

The transfer of motorcycle loan collateral without the approval of cooperative management is a common issue in the financing practices of savings and loan cooperatives. This study aims to analyze the practice of transferring collateral by cooperative members who are in default without the consent of the cooperative management, as well as to examine the legal consequences and forms of legal protection provided by the cooperative. This research employs an empirical legal research method with a socio-juridical approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document studies at Koperasi Simpan Pinjam Langgeng Mulyo Ngancar Kediri, supported by primary and secondary legal materials. The results indicate that the transfer of collateral without the approval of the cooperative management constitutes a breach of contract and may be classified as both default and an unlawful act. Such actions reduce the cooperative's control over the collateral object and increase the risk of losses related to loan assets. The legal protection implemented by the cooperative remains predominantly repressive and has not been optimal from a preventive perspective. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen loan agreement clauses, enhance supervision of collateral objects, and provide legal education to cooperative members in order to minimize similar violations in the future.
