Abstract

Cette étude vise à identifier et à décrire la forme et la fonction de la proposition subordonnée dans le roman Le Ventre de l'Atlantique de Fatou Diome. Cette recherche utilise une approche théorique syntaxique et une approche méthodologique descriptive qualitative. Les données ont été recueillies par la méthode d'écoute avec la technique de base de l'écoute, la technique avancée de l'écoute libre (SBLC) et la technique de la prise de notes. Les données ont été analysées à l'aide de la méthode de distribution en utilisant la technique de la division élémentaire directe (BUL) et la technique desap. Le résultat montre qu'il y a 57 propositions subordonnées dans le roman. La proposition subordonnée relative se trouve dans 12 phrases, dont 8 phrases avec antécédent et 4 phrases sans antécédent. Par ailleurs, la proposition subordonnée conjonctive a été trouvée dans 43 phrases, dont 12 phrases dans la catégorie conjonctive essentielle et 31 phrases dans la catégorie conjonctive circonstancielle. En outre, 5 phrases de proposition subordonnée interrogative ont également été trouvées, qui fonctionnent comme des compléments d'objet.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the types of presupposition in 13 French-language food and beverage advertisements on YouTube, as well as analyze the most dominant type of presupposition using George Yule's theory. The data collection technique uses listening and note-taking techniques, while the methods and analysis techniques used are pragmatic parsing method with the technique of sorting out the determining elements (PUP) and the advanced technique of Hinge Banding Differentiating (HBB) and mark reading technique. The result of the analysis shows that there are 41 utterances in the advertisements that contain presupposition. There are four types of presupposition found, namely existential (27 data), lexical (8 data), factive (4 data), and structural (2 data). The most dominant type of presupposition is existential because it is used to convey the existence of entities such as brands, products, ingredients, or benefits, thus building trust and positive perceptions of product quality.

Abstract

The Paris Agreement is an international accord that aims to limit the rise in global temperature and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The term les changements climatiques is a key concept that appears repeatedly in the Paris Agreement (2015). In the official Indonesian translation (Persetujuan Paris), this term is rendered as perubahan iklim (“climate change”). This topic is of particular interest because the term is not only scientific in nature but also carries strong political, policy-related, and ideological dimensions. Therefore, its analysis can be approached from three domains: linguistic-ecological, political, and socio-cultural. The occurrence of the term les changements climatiques in the French text, especially in the preamble and in sections acknowledging threats, obligations, and vulnerabilities, is significant. In the Indonesian translation, the term is consistently rendered as perubahan iklim. Based on the data collected, the term appears predominantly in the policy context, referring to state responsibilities, obligations under the convention, and related matters. It also appears in the ecological context, addressing threats to the environment and scientific urgency. Its presence in the socio-cultural category is also evident, although less frequent compared to the other two domains.

Abstract

Cette recherche vise à décrire la fonction du langage selon Roman Jakobson dans le Vlog YouTube d’Andie Ella.Le sujet de cette étude est le discours d’Andie Ella et les commentaires des abonnés, tandis que l’objet de la recherche est la fonction du langage de Jakobson dans le Vlog YouTube d’Andie Ella. La méthode utilisée dans cette recherche est la méthode de lecture attentive suivie la méthode d’observation non participant (SLBC) et la technique de note. La méthode utilisée pour analyser les données dans cette recherche est la méthode d’identification référentielle. La référence évoquée dans cette recherche est le discours transmis par Andie Ella à ses abonnés YouTube. Les résultats de la recherche montrent que parmi les 6 types de fonctions du langage deJakobson, il existe 4 types de fonctions du langage, à savoir les fonctions expressives, phatiques, conatives et référentielles, tandis que les fonctions poétiques et métalinguistiques n'ont pas été trouvées. La fonction référentielle est la fonction du langage la plus fréquemment rencontrée, à savoir 161 données. Ensuite, pour découvrir la fonction de la langue de Jakobson dans le Vlog YouTube d’Andie Ella, les chercheurs ont également utilisé la composante SPEAKING ou PARLANT.

Abstract

The study aims to find the forms, referents, functions, then age and gender differences of swearing by the characters in the movie Jeux d'Enfants by Yann Samuell (2003). The data collection method used is the listening method with basic tapping techniques and advanced techniques in the form of free listening techniques and note-taking techniques. The researcher used the commensurate method to analyze the data with the basic technique in the form of the determining element sorting technique with the advanced technique in the form of the comparative linking technique to distinguish. Based on the research results, there are 52 data consisting of 26 nouns, 25 adjectives, and 1 verb. In terms of referents 12 human organs, 8 feces, 4 animals, 6 professions, and 22 mental states. In terms of function, there are 9 expletive functions (self), 20 abusive functions (insults), 2 humorous functions (jokes) and 21 auxiliary (emphasis). In terms of gender, 26 males and 26 females used swear words referring to organs, feces, animals, professions and mental states. In contrast, from age, children, adolescents and adults used swearwords referring to mental states, feces, animals, organs and professions.
