Abstract

This study aims to analyze teacher professional development strategies that are integrated in effective school management practices. The background of this research is based on the importance of improving teachers' competence in facing the demands of the Independent Curriculum and the development of education in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and Society 5.0. Although various development programs have been carried out, there are still limitations in terms of sustainability, relevance, and integration between teacher development and school management systems. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. The informants consist of school principals, teachers, and managerial staff in the primary education unit who are selected purposively. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, direct observation, and document analysis related to the planning and implementation of teacher professional development. Data is analyzed by data reduction techniques, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that teachers' professional development strategies are designed in a participatory and needs-based manner, implemented through various collaborative methods such as internal training, learning communities, lesson studies, and peer coaching, and supervised through academic supervision and continuous program evaluation. Factors supporting the success of this strategy include principals' leadership, collaborative culture, and budget support, while the obstacles include time constraints and resistance to change. From these results, it is concluded that the effectiveness of school management plays an important role in creating a learning ecosystem that supports the professional development of teachers in a sustainable manner. These findings provide conceptual and practical contributions for school principals, policy makers, and related parties in designing more strategic and contextual teacher quality improvement strategies.

Abstract

Every child or student has the right to an equal education in a conducive educational environment. However, the reality is that many factors do not support the implementation of this right, especially in the management of inclusive education related to children or students with special needs (ABK) who have physical, mental, social, or emotional differences that inevitably affect their learning methods and therefore require different treatment in accordance with their needs. Therefore, a deep understanding of the management and implementation of effective inclusive education is necessary, along with an awareness of the barriers and enablers for the implementation of inclusive education management in elementary schools. Based on the results of text reviews and relevant research, data analysis began by classifying the collected data according to the issues being studied, then analyzing it using content analysis. The results of the analysis and interpretation of the data were then summarized. The research results indicate that inclusive education management in elementary schools needs to be implemented optimally, in accordance with the management functions at each stage of its implementation, starting from planning, organizing/managing, implementing, and evaluating. The supporting factors include the commitment of the government, schools, and the community to implement effective inclusive education. The inhibiting factors are: the lack of Special Education Teachers (GPK) in elementary schools; a curriculum that is not yet relevant/appropriate for the needs of inclusive education; and limitations in facilities and infrastructure that support inclusive education services.

Abstract

This study examines the dynamics of religious moderation in Bekasi, Medan, and Bandar Lampung through a regional development lens. By analyzing policies and activities in Bekasi, it identifies transferable factors for fostering religious harmony in other cities. The research addresses two key questions: (1) How do religious moderation and social interaction influence economic development? and (2) What role does social interaction play as a moderating variable in this relationship, particularly within regional development frameworks? Additionally, it explores the dynamics of religious moderation policies and initiatives in Medan, Bandar Lampung, and Bekasi. Employing a mixed-method sequential exploratory design, the study engaged millennials as the primary population and informants from six relevant agencies. Findings reveal that Bekasi’s implementable policies and community participation effectively sustain religious harmony, whereas Medan and Bandar Lampung require stronger approaches. The integration of religious moderation into regional development enhances harmonious social interactions and promotes inclusive, sustainable economic growth, offering a replicable model for other regions.
