Abstract

Improving learning at the elementary school level can be done by implementing innovative learning models. Explicit problem based models that can be used by teachers in teaching and for students through active and enjoyable learning processes. The teacher's ability is measured using two Teacher Performance Assessment Instruments while student success is measured by achieving learning outcomes. This study compares problem-based learning and the application of explicit learning learning models with the theme of preserving the environment in Manado's elementary schools aimed at improving student learning outcomes for science subjects for elementary schools by comparing problem-based learning and explicit teaching models and creating a learning environment in learning environment for elementary school students class I to VI by comparing the use of problem-based learning and explicit teaching models. The results of the study show that environmental studies in elementary schools can be implemented using a learning model that fits the abilities of elementary school students at each level. Problem-based learning models can improve student learning outcomes. The explicit learning learning model can improve student learning outcomes. Problem-based learning and explicit teaching models can create a pleasant atmosphere for student learning. Problem-based learning and explicit teaching models can shape and develop better character of students in school to preserve and love the environment.

Abstract

The background of this research is to produce professional teachers with digital competency through training in making web-based learning media. This study aims to analyze how effective the training on teachers' knowledge in generating web-based learning media is to produce professional teachers. This research used a quantitative study with the one-group pre-test/post-test design approach. This research was conducted by the 20 teachers at SMAN 2 Tondano who trained in making web-based learning media integrated by a project-based learning model (PjBL). Based on data analysis with the N-gain test, this study concludes that web-based learning media creation training on teachers at SMAN 2 Tondano has improved teacher knowledge in a medium category, with an average increase of 43%. The data has also been confirmed through a hypothetical test showing that the α0.05 significance value indicates that training activities are running effectively. These results indicate that training can improve teachers' knowledge, support a better learning process, and make teachers more professional with digital competency.

Abstract

Strategies to improve student learning outcomes that need to be planned by teachers, for example using appropriate learning models. The PIMCA model is one of the new learning models that can be used to improve the skills of understanding physics concepts. The PIMCA model consists of four stages: Presentation, Idea Mapping, Conceptualization and Formative Assessment. This study aims to determine the average increase in students' cognitive learning outcomes through the application of the Multi-representation-based PIMCA learning model in physics learning on temperature and heat material. The type of research used is pre-experimental research with the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design method. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Tondano in the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The subjects in this study were students of class XI IPA SMA Negeri 2 Tondano, totaling 30 students. The instrument used is a multi-representation-based test instrument in the form of multiple choice questions. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistical analysis and normalized gain test (N-gain). The results of data analysis obtained the average value of the pretest was 29.7 and the average value of the posttest was 74.93. The results of the N-gain test showed that there were 19 students who experienced an increase in learning outcomes in the medium N-gain category and 11 students in the high N-gain category. The results of this study indicate that the Multirepresentation-based PIMCA learning model can improve understanding of the concepts of temperature and heat and can improve student learning outcomes.).

Abstract

This study aims to find out 1). Innovative work planning for teachers of SMA Negeri 1 of South Halmahera and SMA AL-Khairaat Labuha, 2). The implementation of innovative work of teachers of SMA Negeri 1 Halmahera and SMA Al-Khairaat Labuha, 3). Supervision of innovative work of teachers of SMA Negeri 1 Halmahera and SMA Al-Khairaat Labuha, and 4). The assessment of innovative work of teachers of SMA Negeri 1 Halmahera and SMA Al-Khairaat Labuha. This study used qualitative approach with narrative research method and the research design used was a multi-site study, where first site is SMA Negeri 1 south Halmahera and second site is SMA AL-Khairaat Labuha where the locus located in south Halmahera district. The results showed that 1). The teachers innovative work planning at the two research sites was compiled through a process consisting of two stages, problem identification and alternative problem-solving option. Establishing teachers’ innovative work development plan and applying the principles of deliberation and consensus, 2). The implementation of innovative work of teachers at the two research sites based on the predetermined work plan and is supported by managerial behaviour in the form of providing motivation, communicating face to face and through the electronic medium such as smartphone and supported by teacher behaviour in the form of being committed to achieving innovative work development goal, 3). Supervision of teacher innovative work consists of three types of supervision which include before, during, and after the implementation of the teachers’ innovative work development plan, 4). The assessment of teachers’ innovative work is carried out through an assessment process consisting of three stages of measuring, comparing, and taking managerial action.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of student learning outcomes using PhET simulation material on the principle of continuity for class XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Likupang. This research uses an experimental method with a Two Group design using Post-test Control Group Design. The sample for this research was taken from class XI MIA 1 as an experimental class which was taught using PhET Simulation with a total of 20 students and class The second class is homogeneous and equal. The data taken in this study came from the same post-test in both classes. The average post-test score for the experimental class was 87.35 and the post-test for the control class was 70.7, which means that student learning outcomes in the experimental class were higher than student learning outcomes in the control class. The research results were analyzed using the t-test with a significance level of 0.05, obtaining a value of tcount = 7.763 > ttable = 1.686, so H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. Meanwhile, for the N-Gain Test, the percent obtained was 76, which is within the effective criteria. From the results of this research it can be concluded that the use of PhET simulations is effective on student learning outcomes in material as continuity.

Abstract

Model Problem Based Learning adalah salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat diterapkan pada proses pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk Meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi Kalor dengan menggunakan Model Problem Based Learning. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan menggunakan design one group pretest posttest. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tiga tahapan. Tahapan pertama yaitu dengan memberikan pretest untuk mengukur kemampuan awal peserta didik. Kemudian tahap kedua adalah memberikan perlakuan (treatment) dengan menggunakan model Problem Based Learning dan tahapan yang ketiga yaitu memberikan posttest sebagai evaluasi dari proses pembelajaran yang telah dilakukan. Subjek penelitian dalam penelitian ini yaitu peserta didik SMA N 1 Amurang 2023/2024 kelas XI khususnya yang ada mata pelajaran fisika. Setelah diperoleh data hasil penelitian langkah selanjutnya yaitu dengan mengolah data tersebut secara statistik menggunakan bantuan aplikasi SPSS 22.0 for windows. Berdasarkan analisis data yang dilakukan menggunakan uji t one sample maka diperoleh niai sig.(2-tailed) 0,026 dimana nilai ini lebih kecil dari nilai 0,05 sehingga H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Problem Based Learning dapat meningkatkan pada hasil belajar peserta didik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dengan Model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing menggunakan pendekatan kontekstual dalam pembelajaran Energi mekanik. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian Pre-experimental Design dengan rancangan One-Group Pretest-Postest. Teknik sampling menggunakan non probability sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas X dengan jumlah 22 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen. Data diperoleh dengan observasi, dokumentasi, dan tes. Analisis data yang digunakan diperoleh dari nilai pretest dan postest pada tes hasil belajar siswa. Selanjutnya dianalisis dengan uji normalitas dan hipotesis (uji-t). Perolehan nilai rata-rata untuk pretest 38,96 dan posttest 75,00. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing menggunakan pendekatan kontekstual dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Model Pembelajaran Inkuiri Terbimbing Menggunakan Pendekatan Kontekstual dapat diterapkan dalam pembelajaran fisika sebagai alternatif dikarenakan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa mnjadi lebih baik

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Effect of Quizizz Media in physics learning on student learning outcomes in Momentum and Impulse material. The research method used in this study is quasi-experimental with Nonequivalent Control Group Design, namely research conducted in two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. Research data were collected using test instruments in the form of essay test questions and data analysis techniques in the form of normality tests, homogeneity and hypothesis tests. The results of the study showed that; 1) From the results of the Quizizz learning media application process, there was a difference between the pretest and posttest scores where the posttest score was better, meaning that there was an increase after being treated; 2) A significant difference between the average posttest results of the experimental and control classes, the learning outcomes of students in the experimental class using Quizizz media obtained an average final test (posttest) of 83.87, while the control class using conventional methods obtained an average posttest of 65.96. Based on the average posttest results, learning using Quizizz media in its learning process has better results. Then a statistical analysis was carried out in the form of a t-test analysis (Independent sample t-test) obtained a sig. value (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05 so that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Quizizz learning media has an effect on improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to simulate and analyze temperature rise due to the greenhouse effect through a simple experiment and numerical modeling using MATLAB. Two systems—a sealed glass jar (simulating a greenhouse gas-trapping atmosphere) and an open jar (control)—were exposed to sunlight for 30 minutes, with temperature recorded at 5-minute intervals. Experimental results showed that the sealed jar experienced a higher temperature increase (24°C to 28.5°C) compared to the open jar (24°C to 28°C), demonstrating heat trapping. Data were analyzed using MATLAB's Curve Fitting Toolbox for regression modeling and graphical visualization. Numerical simulations exhibited strong consistency with experimental data, confirming the model's accuracy in predicting temperature trends. The study concludes that MATLAB is an effective computational tool for simulating physics phenomena related to global warming while highlighting the urgency of environmental mitigation. These findings can serve as a foundation for developing applied physics experiments or small-scale climate models.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to provide junior high school students with learning experiences to increase their understanding of environmental conservation and disaster mitigation. This study focuses on reforestation and disaster mitigation efforts through the application of project-based learning models in the surrounding environment. This research was a descriptive study with a post-test design approach, conducted at SMPN Ranoyapo, South Minahasa Regency. There were 42 students of class VII who participated in this study. The results of this research showed that the students' understanding of environmental conservation was in the level of excellent category (26%), good category (48%), fairly good category (24%), and poor category (2%). Meanwhile, the highest average percentage of students' understanding of disaster mitigation efforts was in the excellent category (41%), followed by the good category (39%), fairly good category (16%), and poor category (4%). These results indicate that project-based learning can improve students' understanding of learning, particularly that related to environmental learning.
