Abstract

The threat of an earthquake can occur anytime and anywhere. In 2018 the island of Lombok was shaken by an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.0 on the Richter scale at a depth of 15 km. One of the areas that were quite badly affected by the quake was Sekotong District, Buwun Mas Village, and West Lombok Regency. Records of damage to the local village government show that 45% of residents' houses were heavily damaged, 30% were moderately damaged, and 2% were lightly damaged. This service aims to provide education and training on the construction of earthquake-resistant houses based on the latest SNI seismic regulations for Buwun Mas Village builders to reduce risk due to earthquakes. The method used is to provide counseling and training to the masons and chief masons in the village of Buwun Mas. This activity was held on Saturday, 4 June 2022, and ran smoothly and in an orderly manner; during the implementation of the community service activities, the partners, in this case, the Buwun Mas Village government, the leaders and occupants of the Zainul Hafidz At-Taufiq Islamic Boarding School and the builders in Buwun Mas Village were very enthusiastically participated in counseling and training activities on earthquake resistant housing construction. This can be seen from the total number of participants reaching 54 people. This counseling and training activity is only for education and to increase the knowledge of the artisans in the village of Buwun Mas, Sekotong District.

Abstract

Sama Guna Village is a division village located in Tanjung District, North Lombok Regency. By the formation of a new government institution, it is certainly not immediately supported by adequate facilities and infrastructure. One of them is the Village Office. In this case, Sama Guna Village wants to make a design related to the needs of the Village Office. However, this has become a quite tough activity for the Village based on: budget constraints, optimizing the utilization of Village funds and Village apparatus human resources. As a developer in the field of Civil Engineering and active in the field of development, as well as a form of scientific service to the community, assistance is needed to assisting activities for the engineered of the Village Office Detail Engineer Design (DED). Starting from activities: measurement; brainstorming with village and community officials; deliberations and assistance in the manufacture of DED, a design was found that is effective, strong and economical. The resulting building area is 313.96 m2.

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research is to describe the results of the identification of the technical characteristics of the Tanak Awu-Pengembur Road subgrade, including mineralogy, physical characteristics, mechanical characteristics, and hydromechanical characteristics, based on the results of experimental tests in the laboratory so that they can be input for related institutions. The results of mineralogical identification using the XRD method showed that the soil samples contained the minerals saponite, beidellite, and montmorillonite, which included in the expansive smectite-type clay mineral group. The results of physical characteristics identification stated that the soil sample had a plasticity index (PI) of 44.34%, a liquid limit (LL) of 72.21% according to the ASTM D-1883 method, Chen (1988), Raman (1967), Ladid and Lambe (1961) which categorized as soil with a very high degree of swelling. The results of mechanical and hydromechanical characteristics identification stated that the swelling value of the sample soil was 5.539% (CBR test results) was classified as expansive soils. The results of mechanical identification stated that the design value of the California Bearing Ratio (CBR) soaked soil sample was 2%. The design value of CBR soaked has met the minimum requirements as a road subgrade. However, for expansive soil subgrades, the CBR value needs to be increased to greater than 6% with subgrade improvement use cement or selected backfill material with a minimum thickness of 600 mm (MDP 2017). Based on SWCC, the clay soil sample has an AEV value of 600 kPa while the residual suction (Sr) value not be identified. Keywords : Expansive clay, CBR, swelling-shrinkage, matric suction, AEV

Abstract

Sidemen Lauq Hamlet is one of the hamlets in Lembah Sari Village, Batu Layar District, West Lombok Regency. The houses of the residents of this hamlet do not yet reflect healthy homes; the houses are close together, seem damp, there is not enough sunlight, the animal cages are close to the residents' houses, daily living needs use Sidemen River water, defecation in the river, and throwing rubbish in the drainage channel. The aim of this outreach activity is to provide residents with an understanding of the importance of healthy homes and a healthy environment. The method used in this counseling is a presentation using PowerPoint slides and interactive discussions. The implementation of community service was carried out for one day on August 28, 2023. Residents were enthusiastic about attending counseling. This is because the male residents are farmers and planters who are still resting after returning from work, while the female residents are housewives. The implementation of the counseling went well and smoothly. The outreach activities increase the knowledge of the residents of Sidemen Lauq Hamlet regarding healthy homes and make the residents of Sidemen Lauq Hamlet aware of the importance of healthy homes. With this outreach, it can become a medium for health promotion, which is expected to have a positive impact on increasing knowledge among the community, especially about healthy homes.

Abstract

Improving road access is very important to support human activities. One of them is improving the quality of environmental roads in Gerung District, West Lombok Regency. To make it with the availability of funds which cannot cover the entire segment in one time, that’s why priority handling is needed. This paper intends to determine the number of environmental roads in Gerung District; to know the priority of handling with SDI survey; and create a handling priority map using GIS. Based on the results, it was found that the number of environmental roads in Gerung District was 987 sections spread over 11 villages and 3 sub-districts. Handling priority of environmental road determined by the classification of road conditions as follows: good, medium, lightly damaged and heavily damaged. The number of roads based on this classification are: 568 segments for good condition; 131 segments for medium conditions; 200 segments for lightly damage; and 88 sections for heavily damaged conditions. In the map, each road segment assigned with colour identity according to its conditions and handling priorities using QGIS. The colour identities are: yellow for good condition; orange for medium conditions; red for lightly damaged conditions; and maroon for heavily damaged conditions.

Abstract

Akibat tingginya kebutuhan dan permintaan, penggunaan material dalam proyek konstruksi sering kali menghasilkan limbah material yang dapat menimbulkan kerugian. Building Information Modeling (BIM) 5D merupakan sistem yang dapat membantu dalam pekerjaan konstruksi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi efisiensi menggunakan sistem BIM 5D dalam hal volume material dan biaya biaya pembangunan.Tahapan proses analisis perbandingan menggunakan pemodelan Software Tekla Structures dan metode konvensional. Pengumpulan data yang diperoleh adalah data DED dan RAB pada proyek pembangunan gedung 3 lantai Rumah Sakit Ibu dan Anak (RSIA) Permata Hati Mataram. Hasil penelitian dari menggunakan BIM 5D dengan Software Tekla Structures memiliki efisiensi lebih dalam menghitung elemen-elemen pekerjaan struktur seperti pondasi, kolom, balok dan plat. Menggunakan pemodelan 3D dengan sistem BIM 5D, perhitungan menghasilkan volume total material pada pekerjaan beton sebesar 688,263 m³ dengan efisiensi +9,64%, pada pekerjaan bekisting sebesar 4601,058 m² dengan efisiensi +4,57%, dan pekerjaan tulangan baja sebesar 115012,285 kg dengan efisiensi +8,53%. Efisiensi biaya material pada pekerjaan beton adalah +5,28%, pada pekerjaan bekisting adalah +9,31%, pada pekerjaan tulangan baja adalah +5,01%, dan secara keseluruhan adalah +6,95%. Faktor yang mempengaruhi efisiensi tersebut adalah  detailing dan kompleksitas struktur dan human error pada metode konvensional.

Abstract

Fondasi tiang pancang adalah fondasi dalam yang berfungsi untuk menstabilkan sambungan struktur dan mentransfer beban ke lapisan tanah keras. Penilaian kemampuan tiang memerlukan analisis setelah pemasangan. Kapasitas tiang dihitung dari data pelaksanaan pemancangan menggunakan data kalendering. Dalam penelitian ini, analisis kapasitas tiang pancang dilakukan dengan menggunakan tiga persamaan dinamik, yaitu: metode  Hilley (1930), persamaan Gates (1957), dan persamaan Navy-Mckay. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan ketiga metode tersebut guna menentukan metode yang paling tepat dalam mengukur kapasitas tiang. Setelah melakukan analisis dengan metode-metode tersebut, maka dihasilkan kapasitas dukung tiang tunggal berdasarkan persamaan Hilley (1930), persamaan Gates (1957) dan persamaan Navy-Mckay berturut-turut sebesar 7194,56 ton; 21196,88 ton; dan 58524,24 ton. Dikarenakan persamaan Hilley (1930) lebih rendah dari pada metode lainnya, maka metode Hilley (1930) dianggap lebih aman.

Abstract

Keterampilan kerja yang berkualitas sangat penting untuk bersaing dalam pasar global yang semakin terhubung dan canggih. Pemerintah Indonesia telah meluncurkan program SMK Pusat Keunggulan melalui Dirjen Vokasi untuk menjawab kebutuhan tersebut. Program ini bertujuan memperbaharui pendidikan vokasi sesuai dengan tuntutan industri. Terdiri dari tiga kategori, yaitu SMK Pusat Keunggulan 2021, SMK Pusat Keunggulan Lanjutan, dan SMK Pusat Keunggulan Skema Pemadanan, yang memberikan dukungan infrastruktur serta pengembangan kapasitas fisik dan non-fisik. Tujuan program ini adalah membentuk hubungan antara pendidikan dan dunia kerja melalui pelatihan guru, pengembangan kurikulum, dan penerapan Teaching Factory. Di SMKN 1 Sekampung, tim dari Fakultas Teknik UMMAT memberikan bimbingan selama tiga bulan dengan fokus pada koordinasi, proyek industri, dan Bursa Kerja Khusus (BKK). Dampaknya terlihat dari peningkatan hasil tracer study dari 80% menjadi 90%, panduan sarana prasarana baru, serta penyesuaian kurikulum dengan konsep Merdeka Belajar. Meskipun dihadapkan dengan tantangan teknis dan non-teknis, upaya ini telah berhasil meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan serta kesesuaian kurikulum dengan kebutuhan industri. Kolaborasi antara sekolah, dinas pendidikan, dan perguruan tinggi menjadi kunci sukses dalam mengatasi tantangan tersebut. Program ini menjadi contoh bagus dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan vokasi dengan mengintegrasikan dunia pendidikan dan industri, yang diharapkan dapat menjadi model untuk program serupa di masa depan.

Abstract

Masjid merupakan bangunan tempat beribadah bagi umat Islam. Hampir setiap Dusun di Pulau Lombok khusunya, memiliki Masjidnya masing-masing dan salah satunya adalah Dusun Mentokan. Dusun ini berada di Desa Darek Kecamatan Praya Barat Daya, Kabupaten Lombok Tengah. Didasari oleh peningkatan jumlah penduduk dan umur bangunan yang sudah cukup tua, maka masyarakat setempat bersepakat untuk melakukan kegiatan rehab pada Masjid Nurul Huda. Namun, hal tersebut menjadi suatu kegiatan yang cukup berat bagi masyarakat karena didasarkan kepada: keterbatasan anggaran, pengoptimalan pemanfaatan dana dan SDM masyarakat yang notabene sebagian besar adalah petani dan buruh harian lepas. Sebagai tenaga pengajar dalam bidang Teknik Sipil dan aktif dalam bidang pembangunan, serta sebagai bentuk pengabdian keilmuan kepada masyarakat, maka dilakukan pendampingan dalam kegiatan rehab Masjid Nurul Huda Dusun Mentokan. Dengan dimulai dari kegiatan: pengukuran; brainstorming dengan masyarakat; rembuk dan pendampingan pembuatan DED; dan pendampingan pelaksanaan pembangunan, maka rehab terhadap Masjid Nurul Huda Dusun telah diselesaikan dengan pengelolaan dana yang baik, tepat mutu dan guna.

Abstract

This research was conducted to review the feasibility of beach sand from the Batu Bolong village of West Lombok Region as an alternative fine aggregate in concrete manufacturing. The background of this research is based on the decreasing supply of sand from rivers and mountains. The main objective of this research was to evaluate the compressive strength of concrete using beach sand, both with and without a washing process, and assess whether this material could be applied in structural construction. In addition to technical aspects, the local community's habit of utilizing beach sand is also part of the consideration in this study. The result oh the tests showed that the compressive strength of normal concrete without admixtures at 3, 7, and 28 days of age were 16.42 MPa, 19.21 MPa, and 23.39 MPa, respectively. The addition of the "BETON MIX" admixture increased the strength to 20.78 MPa, 23.38 MPa, and 26.44 MPa. Meanwhile, concrete using washed beach sand showed compressive strengths of 22.67 MPa, 23.61 MPa, and 25.16 MPa. The concrete with unwashed beach sand produced strengths of 21.72 MPa, 22.40 MPa, and 23.08 MPa. The results of this study indicate that sand from Batu Bolong beach has the potential to be a substitute for fine aggregate in concrete. However, its use must still consider ecological impacts so as not to disturb the balance of the coastal environment.
