Abstract

Siswa perlu memiliki motivasi, khususnya dalam hal belajar. Penggunaan model pembelajaran dapat menjadi salah satu aspek penting untuk menumbuhkan motivasi belajar siswa. Ekosistem merupakan salah satu konsep pelajaran biologi yang cukup mudah untuk ditemukan di lingkungan sekitar siswa dan dapat diterapkan dengan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah (PBM). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis motivasi yang dimiliki oleh siswa SMA di Kota Serang dalam model pembelajaran berbasis masalah pada penerapan konsep ekosistem. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan April 2019. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh kelas X MIPA SMA 5 Kota Serang dan 15 siswa kelas X MIPA 1 digunakan sebagai sampel yang diambil secara acak. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan terdiri dari lembar angket motivasi belajar siswa, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah, dan jurnal reflektif guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar siswa melalui model pembelajaran berbasis masalah pada konsep ekosistem berada pada kategori sedang. Motivasi eksternal siswa sedikit lebih tinggi dari pada motivasi internal siswa dalam model PBM pada konsep ekosistem. Motivasi yang timbul dari dalam diri (internal) akan lebih stabil dibandingkan dengan motivasi belajar eksternal yang muncul dari faktor luar diri. Students need to be motivated, especially in terms of learning. The use of learning models can be an important aspect of fostering student motivation. Ecosystem is one of the concepts of biology that is quite easy to find in the environment around students and can be applied with problem-based learning model. The purpose of study was to analyze the motivation possessed by high school students in Serang City in problem-based learning on ecosystem concept. The method used in this study was descriptive qualitative. The study was conducted in April 2019. The study population was all grade X MIPA SMA 5 Serang City and 15 students of grade X MIPA 1 were used as samples taken randomly. The instrument used consisted of a student learning motivation questionnaire sheet, an observation sheet for the implementation of problem-based learning, and a teacher's reflective journal. The results showed that students' motivation through learning based on ecosystem concept was in the medium category. Students' external motivation was slightly higher than students' internal motivation in the problem based learning for the ecosystem concept. Motivation that arises from within (internal) will be more stable than external motivation that arises from external factors.

Abstract

The fruit of the berry (Crescentia cujete) had been widely known by the community. However, the use of this fruit had not been widely explored, especially related to the morphology and anatomy of the fruit, which supported its potential as a sustainable basic material. This study aimed to study the morphology and anatomy of berenuk fruit and explore its use as a basic material for crafts and household tools. The method used was qualitative descriptive, and the sampling technique was purposive sampling. Data was collected through field surveys, interviews with local artisans, and direct observation of the processing and utilization process of berenuk fruits. The data was reinforced through literature studies. The results of the study showed that Berenuk Fruit had great potential in diversifying the local economy, creating business opportunities, and supporting environmental conservation. The morphology and anatomy of the berenuk fruit, such as its hard skin and wide inner cavity, strongly supported the use of this fruit as a raw material for crafts and household tools. Furthermore, it was very necessary to increase people's knowledge and skills regarding processing techniques to maximize the use of berenuk fruit, as well as a good marketing strategy so that this fruit-based product could compete in a wider market.

Abstract

Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh mengenai jumlah Pendidik RA antara guru perempuan dan laki-laki sangat berbeda. Pada jenjang PAUD guru perempuan lebih mendominasi dibandingkan guru laki-laki. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dengan jumlah pendidik laki-laki di PAUD yang sangat sedikit karena masih banyaknya masyarakat yang memandang sebelah mata erhadap guru PAUD laki-laki, bahkan ada juga yang menganggap bahwa guru PAUD itu harus perempuan. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan persepsi orangtua dan guru perempuan mengenai peran guru laki-laki dan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk responsive guru laki-laki dalam penyelenggaraan PAUD. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi sebagai alat pengumpulan data. Penelitian ini dilakukan di RA Al-Musaddadiyah Garut. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat diketahui bahwa peran guru laki-laki di PAUD penting dan sangat dibutuhkan. Juga bentuk responsive yang didapatkan merupakan respon yang baik dan mengapresiasi karena dapat mendobrak pemikiran masyarakat yang menganggap bahwa guru PAUD itu harus perempuan. Abstract

Procedural knowledge is one dimension of knowledge that has an important role, which is to help students acquire conceptual knowledge. Procedural knowledge helps students understand concepts in the Genetics Course, including "Molecular-Based Population Genetics." This topic discusses the molecular structure and function of DNA markers in population genetics research and the procedures carried out by scientists in conducting molecular-based population genetics research. This study aims to describe students' procedural and conceptual knowledge of molecular-based Population Genetics and analyze these variables' correlations. This study used a quantitative descriptive research method with Pearson Product Moment correlational design. The study sample amounted to 101 randomly selected students. The collection of student procedural knowledge data is carried out using test techniques. Test questions are essay questions developed based on students' procedural knowledge parameters. Students' conceptual knowledge is measured using short-fill, actual false, and essay questions. Data analysis was performed using correlational descriptive analysis using the SPSS program. Students' procedural and conceptual knowledge are in the deficient category. Students' procedural and conceptual knowledge has a reasonably strong positive correlation. Procedural knowledge contributes to students' conceptual knowledge with a determination score of 21.3%. Based on these findings, lecturers must create a learning process that empowers students' procedural knowledge to improve conceptual knowledge, ultimately improving learning outcomes in the Genetics course.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan LKS (lembar kerja siswa) berbasis CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) sebagai bahan ajar siswa SMA/MA kelas XII subkonsep teknik kultur in vitro. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan model 3D yang terdiri dari pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), dan pengembangan (develop). Lembar kerja siswa teknik kultur in vitro berbasis CTL ini dikembangkan berdasarkan penelitian pendahuluan terkait pengamatan pertumbuhan tanaman cocor bebek terhadap berbagai media kultur alternatif, yang dijadikan konten (isi) LKS, serta menerapkan tujuh komponen CTL yaitu constructivisme, inquiry, questioning, learning community, modelling, reflection, dan authentic assesment yang digunakan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian menggunakan angket penilaian untuk uji kelayakan LKS. Instrumen penilaian LKS menggunakan skala penilaian 1 sampai 5 yang didalamnya terdapat 8 kriteria. Uji kualitas LKS dilakukan oleh 2 orang dosen jurusan Pendidikan Biologi Untirta dan 3 orang guru Biologi SMA. Berdasarkan hasil uji kelayakan LKS berbasis CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) sebagai bahan ajar siswa SMA/MA kelas XII subkonsep kultur in vitro memperoleh nilai rata-rata 4,3 (skala likert) yang termasuk kedalam katagori sangat layak.

Abstract

White jasmine (Jasminum sambac) holds strong symbolic and cultural value in various traditional ceremonies in Serang City. This study aims to examine its ethnobotanical role and conservation efforts to preserve its cultural significance and ecological sustainability. A descriptive qualitative method was used with purposive sampling, involving experienced jasmine flower artisans as participants. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation, then analyzed qualitatively. The results show that white jasmine is used in wedding rituals, purification ceremonies, funerals, and offerings—reflecting spiritual, aesthetic, and medicinal meanings. Its morphological features and active compounds such as linalool and benzyl acetate support its role in tradition and healing. Conservation efforts include sustainable cultivation, public education, and reinforcing cultural values in environmental preservation. This study underscores the importance of integrating cultural heritage and biodiversity conservation to maintain local flora as part of intangible cultural assets.

Abstract

Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) form mutualistic interactions with plants, including Cynometra cauliflora (Namnam), a tropical indigenous species from the Fabaceae family. This study explores the educational potential of this biological relationship to enrich high school biology education under the Kurikulum Merdeka framework. Field research was conducted at PT Chandra Asri’s Biodiversity Park in Cilegon, Banten Province, Indonesia, an area with rich local biodiversity and a tropical rainforest climate.  The study used a qualitative content analysis approach following an exploratory-descriptive model. Nine naturally growing C. cauliflora individuals were selected for morphological observations and root sampling. Morphological characteristics were documented following standard botanical protocols, while AMF colonization was assessed through root clearing, Phillips and Hayman staining method, and microscopic observation. The percentage of AMF colonization was calculated using the gridline intersect method. Habitat characterization to understand the ecological context. Curriculum analysis reviewed Indonesian biology standards, textbooks, and scientific literature to map potential integrations. Key concepts such as mutualism, nutrient cycling, biodiversity conservation, and plant physiology were identified for curriculum enrichment. The findings suggest that studying C. cauliflora and its AMF association can effectively support Capaian Pembelajaran (Learning Achievement Targets), fostering student skills in scientific methods, environmental awareness, and critical thinking. Incorporating local examples promotes contextual and inquiry-based learning, aligning with the spirit of the Kurikulum Merdeka and strengthening students’ ecological literacy. In conclusion, the mutualistic relationship between C. cauliflora and AMF offers a valuable, locally relevant scientific model for enhancing biology education. It bridges scientific knowledge, cultural understanding, and sustainability, preparing students for real-world ecological challenges.

Abstract

Anemia merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan yang banyak dialami oleh remaja putri di Indonesia, terutama disebabkan oleh kekurangan zat besi akibat menstruasi, pola makan tidak seimbang, dan minimnya pengetahuan gizi. Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswi tentang pentingnya konsumsi tablet tambah darah guna mencegah anemia. Kegiatan dilakukan di SMA Negeri 14 Bandar Lampung pada tanggal 18 November 2024 dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 30 siswi. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah interaktif, diskusi, dan evaluasi melalui pre-test dan post-test, dengan media pendukung berupa PowerPoint dan leaflet. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai pre-test sebesar 9,58 (SD 0,64) dan post-test 8,97 (SD 0,56) dengan rentang nilai 8–10. Seluruh peserta menunjukkan keaktifan dan antusiasme selama sesi penyuluhan. Meskipun secara angka terjadi penurunan rata-rata skor, secara kegiatan berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran peserta tentang anemia dan pentingnya tablet tambah darah. Kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa promosi kesehatan melalui pendekatan edukatif efektif sebagai upaya preventif dalam menurunkan angka anemia pada remaja putri.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the TPACK-based problem based learning model on students' critical thinking skills in biodiversity material at SMAN 3 Pandeglang. This research is experimental research using a nonequivalent control group design. The population in the study were all class X students of SMAN 3 Pandeglang for the 2024/2025 academic year. The research sample consisted of two classes, namely class X I as the control class and class X J as the experimental class. The sampling technique was carried out using simple random sampling. Data collection techniques use tests, observation sheets and documentation. The pretest-posttest results of students in the experimental class obtained an N-Gain score of 0.4 in the "medium" criteria and a class N-Gain score of 0.3 in the "low" criteria. Hypothesis testing uses the Mann-Withney U test with the Asymp.Sig value. (2-tailed) 0.000<0.005 which means H1 is accepted. Based on the hypothesis test, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the TPACK-based problem based learning model on students' critical thinking skills in biodiversity material at SMAN 3 Pandeglang.
