Abstract

Pelabuhan perikanan pantai Muncar merupakan tempat pelelangan ikan terbesar di Banyuwangi yang berada di wilayah kerja Unit Pelaksana Teknis Pelabuhan Perikanan Pantai (UPT PPP) Muncar. Metode tangkapan nelayan Muncar mayoritas menggunakan pukat cincin atau jaring purse seine yang merupakan alat tangkap aktif. Penanganan ikan di atas kapar di wilayah kerja tersebut masih kurang baik karena perlakuan pada ikan kurang memperhatikan kualitas kesegarannya. Hasil total produksi tangkapan nelayan pada bulan Februari 2020 yaitu ikan laying sebanyak 235,092 ton, ikan tongkol sebanyak 207,280 ton dan ikan lemuru sebanyak 74,474 ton.

Abstract

Belut merupakan salah satu jenis ikan air tawar yang mengandung protein tinggi. Salah satu olahan belut dapat dimanfaatkan menjadi bakso. Kegiatan ini merupakan praktik kerja lapang yang dilakukan di Laboratorium Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas PGRI Banyuwangi. Bakso belut yang dibuat selanjutnya dilakukan uji kadar air dan uji kesukaan konsumen dengan menggunakan uji hedonic. Hasil dari uji kesukaan menunjukkan bahwa parameter rasa dan tekstur bakso belut disukai panelis. Parameter warna dan aroma agar disukai panelis. Sedangkan pada parameter penampakan netral. Kadar air bakso yaitu sebesar 80,92%.

Abstract

Bahan bakar khususnya minyak merupakan bahan bakar yang paling banyak dikenal dan digunakan oleh masyarakat Indonesia. Salah satu bahan bakar cair yang dapat diproduksi dari materi yang dapat ditemukan di lingkungan sekitar adalah bioetanol. Bioetanol dapat dibuat dari karbohidrat yang berupa glukosa, melalui bantuan mikroorganisme glukosa dapat diubah menjadi etanol melalui proses fermentasi. Ditinjau dari berbagai segi, bioetanol dapat berfungsi untuk menggantikan bensin maupun minyak tanah. Beberapa pertimbangan yang sangat mendesak atas diperlukannya bioetanol ini sebagai bahan bakar, selain karena pertimbangan bahan bakar fosil hampir habis, juga berbagai pertimbangan mengenai pelestarian lingkungan. Salah satu bahan baku yang melimpah di perairan laut khususnya di daerah Kecamatan Wongsorejo Kab. Banyuwangi dan dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan baku pembuatan bioetanol adalah rumput laut jenis Eucheuma cottonii, sehingga diharapkan masyarakat Desa Sumberkencono Kec. Wongsorejo dapat memanfaatkan E. cottonii dalam pengaplikasiannya terhadap energi terbaru yang ramah lingkungan. Hasil yang didapat dalam riset ini adalah 15 kg E. cottonii dapat menghasilkan 447 ml etanol, walau belum efektif jika digunakan sebagai bahan bakar namun bioethanol sebagai upaya pelestarian bahan bakar untuk dimasa akan datang.

Abstract

Banyuwangi Regency is one of the largest rice producers in Indonesia. This district at the eastern tip of Java is even nicknamed the national rice barn. Banyuwangi always has a surplus of 300,000 tons of rice every year. This increase in rice consumption will have an impact on high rice bran production. Considering the benefits and potential of rice bran as an industrial raw material, activities can later be developed to process rice bran into industrial raw materials with higher economic value. A processed product derived from rice bran that has the potential to be developed is rice bran oil. This research aims to determine the proximate content of rice bran oil. Through the process of analyzing the characteristics of rice bran oil (moisture content, protein content, fat content, salt content, pH content and ash content) to determine the content of rice bran oil and palm oil as a comparison with proximate tests through a Completely Randomized Design with testing of rice bran oil and palm oil through 3 repetitions in testing. Further testing used the Duncan test with observation parameters in the proximate test. The research results showed that the best results for water content, protein content, fat content, salt content, pH content and ash content were refined rice bran oil compared to palm oil. This is a reference that rice bran oil is still better than palm oil in general. This research will later be able to increase the income of rice farmers. Apart from producing rice, they can also make rice bran oil.

Abstract

Indonesia is the fourth coffee producer in the world after Brazil, Vietnam and Colombia. However, in the 2018-2021 period, the value of Indonesian coffee exports experienced a decline, which was in line with the low volume of Indonesian coffee exports in that year compared to the previous period, so that Indonesia's position fell from fourth to fifth as a coffee exporting country in the world. These various things could be due to the lack of downstream processing in coffee processing in Indonesia. The current problem is that there is no tool for the process of separating coffee into clear coffee, this tool is available abroad and the price is quite expensive. This research tries to make a clear coffee streamer and analyzes the production results of a clear coffee streamer. The results of the design of a clear coffee streamer tool using stainless steel material can be used with a capacity of 20 liters and a maximum heating temperature of 100oC, while testing the production capacity of the clear coffee streamer tool produces data using a material volume of 1500 ml resulting in a production volume of 850 ml in a time of 75 minutes. Meanwhile, using a volume of 200 ml of material produces 950 ml with a time of 75 minutes.

Abstract

Bomo Beach, which is managed by community groups to become a tourist attraction, has the potential for renewable energy in the form of solar and wind energy. This potential can be harnessed and converted into electrical energy. This study aims to design energy education media for solar power plants and wind power plants at Bomo beach, Banyuwangi regency. The design is carried out in accordance with the natural management of tourist beach. The power plant designed is the integration of the solar power plant system (PLTS) and the wind power plant system (PLTB). Solar power plants use solar panels while PLTB uses horizontal shaft wind turbines and vertical shafts. The energy housing is made as a power store with a 12 volts battery. The design results show that the integration design of solar power plants and PLTB can be applied as an energy education media.

Abstract

Coffee is a plantation commodity that is made into a drink as one of the products that is popular with the public. Many coffee drink innovations have been made, one of which is a clear coffee drink without dregs. The process of making clear coffee can be done by the distillation method, namely the process of condensing the steam produced by a mixture of coffee powder and water. This study aims to obtain the design results of a clear coffee machine without dregs using the distillation method. The design is carried out based on the results of a patented study on making clear coffee. The coffee machine is made with a heating tube for a mixture of ground coffee and water, a steam collector tube and a distillation tube. The design results obtained a heating tube with a diameter of 25 cm and a height of 27 cm for a process capacity of 13.25 liters. Heating is performed using an LPG-fueled heater. The distillation process is carried out by cooling the water using a 15 watt aerator pump. The trial was carried out by processing 500 grams of fine coffee powder mixed with 2000 ml of water. The trial results obtained 500 ml of clear coffee with an average process time of ± 25 minutes.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly changing the global economic landscape, promising greater operational efficiency, product innovation and solutions to long-term economic challenges. However, the broad impact of this technology on the economy varies widely and raises questions about its future implications for labor, economic equality, and global market competition. The study conducted in this research uses the literature research method. The results show that AI plays a key role in advancing innovation, increasing productivity, and addressing some pressing economic challenges such as energy efficiency and climate change. However, it also identifies significant risks in terms of job displacement, increased inequality, and concentration of market power in the hands of large technology companies.

Abstract

Coffee is a fairly large plantation commodity in Indonesia. Coffee drinks are a coffee variant product that is in great demand by the public. The process of making coffee drinks can be optimized with the application of technology. The purpose of writing this article is to describe the application of a clear coffee machine with a steam distillation system that can be utilized by the small business sector of coffee beverage processing. Clear coffee is an innovation resulting from a patented research by lecturers so that it can be developed into a coffee beverage production tool. Making clear coffee uses the principle of steam distillation using a tube-shaped device with stainless steel material. The distillation process is optimized by using a 15 watt electric aerator. Heating is done with an LPG-fueled heater. The application of technology is carried out with the stages of design, tool making and tool testing. The trial was carried out by processing 1 kg of coffee powder with 500 ml of water. The results of the trial showed that the process time was 25 minutes with relatively small consumption of electricity and LPG fuel. This clear coffee machine has the potential to be applied in the production of coffee drinks.

Abstract

Education 5.0 is an innovative approach to education that integrates advanced technology and the latest learning methodologies to create a student-centred learning environment. The research method conducted in this study is literature. The results showed that students' digital intelligence, creativity, and collaborative skills improved. The implementation of Education 5.0, which embraces technology and innovative learning methodologies, facilitates a more dynamic and interactive learning environment, increasing student motivation and participation in the learning process. Study results indicated students engaged in an Education 5.0- based curriculum showed improved performance in complex problem solving, critical thinking, and teamwork, compared to traditional approaches. Furthermore, the findings suggest that educators, as facilitators, play a key role in inspiring student innovation and creativity through the use of technology and project-based learning approaches. The implementation of Education 5.0 not only enriches students' learning experiences but also prepares them with relevant skills for future challenges, underscoring the importance of transitioning to a more flexible and adaptive educational paradigm in preparing students for success in an ever-changing global society.
